GM Laark and Soreen both nodded at Starshot’s comments about the plan for handling Phalen. The trio then set back to work at organizing their equipment and preparing to move out when the Ul-Mor were ready. The Ul-Mor tribe spent a day near the Place of True Warriors, setting off the following morning back towards the burning lands. Once again the Ul-Mor took an underground passage, this time an alternate to the one that had experienced the cave in. Two days later they had passed through the underground caverns and a section of the burning lands to return to the massive desert where Starshot and his crew had first encountered the Ul-Mor. The tribe then set off towards the East, heading towards the northeaster edge of the desert that would get Starshot and his crew as close as possible to the lands of the Kurabanda. Along the way there were stops at some oasis, to replenish water supplies. And Starshot had an opportunity to go hunting with some of the Ul-Mor warriors, gathering food for the tribe from creatures that roamed the deserts. After several days the tribe arrived at a place where the desert came to an end and a vast plain of unusual towering grass stretched out to the north-northeast. Arthu explained that the grass was called "shard grass," upon closer inspection, Starshot discovered that the thick stalks each stood nearly two meters tall. They were also covered with a glass-like sheath which was razor sharp. The gras could be cut, however, to create a safe path through them, and Arthu explained there were unusual, large creatures that roamed the plains, creating paths through the shard grass. The Ul-Mor provide Starshot and his crew with about a weeks worth of water and smoked meats, dates and other fresh food. That would allow them to hold off on the preserved rations they had brought from the Xeno, assuming they did not come upon some other means of supplies. Arthu stood before Starshot, the Ul-Mor gathered behind him. This one wishes you and your companions well Star-the-Shot. We will miss hunting with you. Perhaps we shall met again when we all become part of the One. The Ul-Mor stated through the telepathic link. Just continue towards the northeast and you will come to the forest of the Kurabanda. We hope that you find what you are looking for and can return to the sky.

Wanted to bump this up for some of the newer players that have joined in the last couple of weeks. Still room for more space PCs. The Praetorians always have things going on, so a good way to get right into threads!

GM The Signian orbital city was very open in the floor plan of its common areas and walkways, making them large open spaces and avenues, much liked the Main Plaza and some of the other larger spaces on CoVic Station. It certainly helped to make the enclosed structure feel less confining. The area around the Praetorians and their guide was filled with other beings, all going about their daily routines. There were, of course, numerous Signians in the crowd, but there were also at least three other species that were present in large numbers as well. "Well, I cannot say that I am acquainted with all of the particulars of the criminals’ activities, but once we reach Inspector T'r'ik he should be able to provide the specifics you seek." Counselor Farrin replied. The Praetorians only had a short distance further before they arrived at the headquarters from the city's law enforcement agency. It was a large building along the main concourse, reaching up almost to the outer dome. Several anti-gravity vehicles could be seen flying in and out of the upper levels of the building as the counselor led the group inside. A short while later they were up in the office of Inspector T'r'ik. The inspector was an insectoid species, others of his kind being one of the common groups the Praetorians had seen about the city. After the introductions, the inspector began giving a background on the situation. "As you might *tik* expect, like many *tik* other systems, the Incursion *tik* caused a good deal of chaos *tik* for Signa. In addition to *tik* local problems a number of *tik* outside criminal elements used the *tik* chaos to establish a foothold in *tik* the system." T’r’ik explained. "One such group was *tik* the Indigo Moon, a *tik* Khanate based syndicate." "Until recently, much of *tik* the Indigo Moon’s activities were *tik* low key. But now *tik* several of their operatives have somehow *tik* obtained highly sophisticated weapons. They *tik* have become much more bold *tik* in their activities. Among those have been a *tik* number of thefts, including *tik* from several of the leading *tik* high tech companies in the *tik* orbital cities." "We have a great number of scientists working on processes to help restore those worlds that were cyberformed by the Communion." Counselor Farrin added.

GM When Starshot went to try to talk with Phalen once more, the alien was not muttering to himself as much, but he was also not responsive to Starshot either. He basically ignored the space hunter, turning away if Starshot tried to move into his field of vision. "I don't know if there is any way to easily get through to him." Soreen commented. "It might just take time, it might also require treatment we cannot provide." "Better to have left him in the caves." Laark added. "Maybe, but how long do you think he would last down there without his blaster rifle." Soreen asked the large alien.

Paradigm In another part of the city, Paradigm did her best to move through one the city's markets without attracting any attention. The Naram had a long, plain dress over her costume, with the addition of a cloak and hood to further conceal her features. Subtle investigation had never been one of her strong suits. For the Delaztri Empire, she had been a projection of their power, a visible symbol of the empire's might and justice. Since her reawaking at the start of the Communion's invasion, she once again had become a symbol, but one of safety and stability, as she and the other Praetorians had taken on their new role of working alongside the Star Knights in defending the galaxy. But right now, visibility would only hinder her and the other Praetorians on Kolast. "So far I have only heard a few rumors, many of them contradictory." She replied quietly as she stood off at the entrance of an alleyway. "But, if I know Sitara, she has likely already found the perfect tavern in which to gather information."

Synapse Synapse took the binoculars and looked out in the direction Foreshadow was indicating. I would think we would have noticed something if someone was taking out the trash tonight. It has been rather still for the most part out there. She mentally replied as she noted that unusual trail. She handed the binoculars back as Foreshadow got ready to go investigate. Well, this is your show, I am just along for the ride for the most part. She added as she stood up and moved over so he could swing them both down to the street.

Susan looked over at Erick as he offered for them to take a look at her medication mix but then stated. "I would not want to take up you or Dee's time." But Dee quickly responded as she took her sister's hands. "Don't you worry about that. You know I will do anything that might be able to help you. Sides, I would be interested to poke around the chemical mix they are giving you, and wouldn't want Erick's investment in the lab to go to waste." "Well…if your sure." Susan replied after a moment. She then looked back at Erick. "Edward is not a bad sort, just…I think he has been adding a lot to his schedule." She paused a moment then gave another small smile. "And I would not be so quick to assume our father will have such a negative view of you. Yes you might lose a few marks being new money, but, the fact you have money will be a plus. The bigger plus is likely to be the fact you have helped keep Dee out of the tabloids as much as she used to be." "That settles it, we have to break up." Dee suddenly said with another of her smirks. "Again, do not listen to her." Susan said with another small smile.

Pilor II Along the outer length of the Perseus Arm, former Khanate Space Lor time mark 1753.1 [January 13, 2018 (Terran Calendar)] Liora Sylestrin, also known as the Praetorian Spectra, guided the sleek form of the Kavaca through the smoky atmosphere of Pilor II. The bleak rocky surface of the planet stretched out below the Praetorian spacecraft, spotted with rivers of lava that flowed up from below the surface. Located within the boundaries of a confederation of worlds that had remained independent from the Stellar Khanate following the Incursion and the return of Star Khan, Pilor II had become a focal point of industrial activity. Several newly formed corporations had been granted mining rights on the world, seeking to harvest the numerous precious minerals and ores to fuel the development of the confederation worlds. But recently some of those mining activities had been disrupted to such a degree that it had led to a request for assistance from the Praetorians. And so Spectra was piloting the Kavaca towards the Regulas Corporation's main facility on the world, along with her fellow Praetorians Moon-Moth and Cavalier. The facility had just come into view, a larger collection of attached buildings that stretched out on numerous pillars that kept them well above several lava rivers that flowed beneath. The Kavaca's sensors locked onto the landing beacon for the designated landing platform as they drew near.

So, small things Gran. You are only spending 16pp on stats, not 116. Need to list the cost of the base combat stats at the combat block (it is listed at the bottom correctly) For skills, you likely need to pick up a few languages. Most original Praetorians speak both Delaztri and Gal Standard (the common trade language spoke throughout most of the galaxy) with Delaztri or their native world’s language being their native. Some pick up another language or two. For those that have learned some modern era language (such as English, or Lor), the in game reasoning was the Curator provided subliminal training in those languages while we were in suspended animation. For the array, need to note there are 40 pp of active points in the array and note that there are 7 alternate powers. For the Strike alternate power slot, you get nothing from Mighty, so I would drop that. Thrown is only a 1 point feat (see page 38 of Ultimate Power under Damage). Also know that once you throw the strike, you need to do something before you can use it again (in this instance most likely recharge somehow). It may be that you do not need this to be thrown as you already have two blast alt powers. For the entry on the Forcefield, need to note it costs 10 pp.
-
A rank 5 Obscure should be plenty big enough, so with zero range and selective, that is 5 pp (to effect only visual senses). That would leave 21 pp left, which would give you a standard blast rank 10 (without the variable descriptor you normally have).

Well, the sensors in the shuttle are not nearly as good as on a standard Praetorian ship, but they can provide some information. Moon-Moth is picking up a tremendous amount of energy from the comet, but not able to get much more information. It is unlike anything he have heard about from a comet.

GM Phalen's blaster rifle contained a fully charged power pack and both Soreen and Laark were well enough for the moment for packs for their blaster pistols. Soreen had brought a couple of portable charge packs, which should be enough to recharge Starshot's helmet a couple of times, but there was nothing to be done for the plasma rifle at the moment. They all still had more than a weeks worth of preserved rations, which they could save given the supplies the Ul-Mor were providing. They also had plenty water for the moment, again the Ul-Mor helping to provide that for the time being. As for the alien they had found down in the caves, Phalen was still muttering to himself and trying to free himself from the bindings they kept on him. He had not tried to escape since the day before, but clearly did not want to remain with them or out in the hot sun.
-
Well, would need some justification as to why it would be independent and fade like smokescreen. Besides, 10 ranks covers a WAAAY bigger area than you need to, so you could go with less ranks of obscure and have some points for at least a low powered blast as part of the temp power.

Signa System Towards the inner edge of the Perseus Arm Lor time mark 1752.9 [January 12, 2018 (Terran Calendar)] The Signa system was located just out of the inner most edge of the Lor Republic. Its location, along with that of its neighbors, had long afforded it protection from the threats of the Grue Unity and the Stellar Khanate. This safety, and friendly relations with the Lor allowed those systems to flourish through peaceful cooperation and trade. When the Incursion had come and the Communion forces struck at the very center of Lor space, Signa and its neighbors found themselves suddenly on the forefront of the conflict. Their limited defense forces, even combined, were little match for the Communion, and it was only timely assistance by the Lor and other Coalition forces that prevented the sector from being completely overrun. As it was, several of Signa's neighboring systems were taken and cyberformed by the Communion, although large portions of their populations were evacuated to Signa and other neighboring systems. Once the Incursion was over, Signa continued to welcome its displaced neighbors as work began to try to undo the damage the Communion had done. Recently the system had been experiencing a rash of crimes committed by beings using supertech equipment. The local law enforcement had been unable to control the situation, so Signa’s representative to the Coalition Counsel had requested the assistance of the Praetorians. So now Traveller, Barrier, Hyperslice and Queenie were making their way along a corridor inside one of the orbiting cities above Signa Prime, the fifth planet from the large blue star at the center of the system. Large portions of the corridor were covered with translucent walls, which provided impressive views of the sprawling orbital city below, and the planet and star beyond. "I am so pleased for your assistance Praetorians." Stated Counselor Farrin in Gal Standard, the Signaian ambassador that had requested their assistance. Like all Signian natives, Counselor Farrin was a squat humanoid, covered with short dark brown fur. "A most vexing problem for our local law enforcement, but one that you should be able to handle."

Shaking the Branches OOC Okay, Foreshadow will not be able to spot Mess, but I will go with the suggestion and have him spot part of the trial mess has left behind. Guess that is HP to Mess!

GM Down on the street The small homunculus that was Bloody Mess sped away from the Caddy, moving along the sidewalks toward the distant warehouse. There was little in the way of traffic, and a number of the streetlights were burned out, so it was easy for him to move from shadow to shadow. Of course, there was little he could do about the faint trail of blood his passage left behind, but then most would not notice it in the dark. Up on the rooftops As Foreshadow and Synapse were engaged in their telepathic conversation, the costumed crimefighter took out his binoculars and began scanning the area around the warehouse. There were lights on in part of the building, but he could not make out any particular movement within. But as he was scanning the area, he spotted something that seemed odd. Focusing on a section of the street heading toward the warehouse, he thought he saw some sort of trail of liquid on the pavement. Shifting his view slightly, he saw a similar trail on a sidewalk.

Synapse Well, it is certainly not what I ever planned to do with my evenings. Synapse responded back, a slight smirk on her face. Not that I was ever one to turn down a chance to sneak up onto a rooftop and enjoy the view. The woman had never planned to be a superhero, but had ended up on that path nonetheless. Still, she likely could not complain too much, while she and Erick likely still would have encountered each other in Sochi, things might have played out differently if she had not gotten more accustomed to using her powers. She also focused back on the warehouse across from them, trying to study what she could in the darkness. So, is there anything in particular we are waiting for?

So, we are close. You need to correct the stat bonuses for Int and Wis (15 in each is only +2). Personally, I would make one 14 the other 16, but that is up to you. The only other thing I see is you need to check your Skills based on the new Int/Wis bonuses. Some are right, some are not. Also, for your Stealth, 4 ranks of Growth is -4 Stealth, so that needs to be factored in.
-
So, a few issues I see: I am only counting 29 pp worth of stats, not 34. I only count 80 ranks of skills (20 pp), not 96 ranks (24 pp). So that is 9 pp that have not been used.

GM "Well, the Xeno can be fixed, if we can find the parts we need." Soreen replied, something of a smile on her face at having passed the ritual. "There was that reading of some technology the ship picked up as we were crashing, the northeast. Still seems our best bet for finding something that might help." The Athru and the other Ul-Mor led Starshot and his crew back to the campsite, where a feast was in fact soon prepared. As the sun began to set the Ul-Mor tribe sat around a large fire with its new members, celebrating their completion of the Ritual of the Quickdeath. During the celebrations, Starshot found some time to speak with Athru, who informed him that the Kurabanda, who lived in tress found to the northeast might know more about the structures and technology the Xeno's sensors had picked up. Athru stated that while the Ul-Mor did not travel to the lands of the Kurabanda, they could take Starshot and his crew as close as possible and provide them with supplies that should last them until they found the Kurabanda.

GM The shuttle was far from the Kavaca, but once she had gotten familiar with its idiosyncrasies Traveller was able to handle it well enough. Once Moon-Moth had shielded them from detection, she steered them out away from the stream of fleeing ships, following after the cruiser and fighter craft. Pushing the shuttle's engines for all they were worth, Sitara soon guided the craft into orbit. As they moved in the dark of space, the Praetorians saw the cruiser up ahead, having joined another that was already in orbit. A number of fighter craft had formed up around the cruisers, all of which were moving further from the planet towards the nearest moon. It was when the sensors scanned out towards that moon that the Praetorians caught a glimpse of what was alarming the locals. What appeared to be a comet was coming around the orbit of the near moon, heading straight toward Kembel!
