GM Rux was quickly back on her feet after dodging Vyrdnaya's attack. "One should not let their passions control them during a fight." The cyborg replied calmly as she looked up at the hovering Praetorian. After the briefest of pauses, the supercriminal leapt forward, just as one of the rifts in space opened in front of her to pass through. Back down near the governor's offices, another rift opened in the sky near Cavalier, as Rux came leaping out, her plasama sword slashing in front of her. But the Space Knight reacted quickly to the cyborg's sudden appearance, pulling back and out of the range of the crackling weapon. Rux began to drop back down toward the ground after her missed attack, as another rift opened beneath her and she dropped through it and out of sight.

guide gab Freedom League lineup and role
Thevshi replied to Ari's topic in The Lighthouse: Catchphrase!
Well AA, she would still be technically "ahead" by virtue of seniority, having joined before they did. In any event, she likely became Aux when she went on reserve status (when she was part of the Interceptors). -
guide gab Freedom League lineup and role

Well Durf, I think a part of the problem with how the League has been handled here over the years is the changes in Ref staff that have taken place and different visions for the site that have resulted. The very first PCs to join the League were Velocity (me) and Envoy (MarkK) back in mid-2008, and they were full League members. Of course, both of us eventually leaving the site (at least for a time in my case) could well have resulted in those in change being gunshy about more PCs on the League. But I agree that the way the League has been handled and how the site has developed has pretty much has resulted in the League being undervalued and just ignored for the most part. We put a fair bit of effort in during Incursion to write the NPC League members out of threads by shunting them off-screen to deal with other stuff to leave PCs at the center of things. I am not so sure that an initial recruitment from the Auxiliary to the main team is such a tough sell, given the length of time many of them have been part of it (although there is the issue with many of them focused on Sanctuary). Also, as I mentioned above, Velocity was a full League member, and has mainly been in some threads with Aux members since I came back in last 2012 because that is where the only other PC members of the League were at the time. I am not opposed to running it as a Freedom League Unlimited, but there is no reason that could not mean lots of PCs (and maybe a small handful of NPCs). Heri, that is pretty much how the NPC (main) and PC (Aux) League has operated, although the Aux has broadened some in scope in the last few years. We are talking about just changing that altogether. -
So, as mentioned in chat, Permanent is not allowed on Enhanced Traits. Also, I think your Knockback resistance needs to be adjusted, as 8 ranks of your impervious is only for Physical attacks, to your resistance to energy attacks would be less.

Okay, it is Bliss' turn TA, but at the moment she is still dazed.

He only gets a 10 on his toughness save, so is down.

Rux will teleport away and attack Cavalier, but misses with a 17. She then teleports off to some new location. Corona is up Rav!

Okay HGM, Roulette is up!

GM Ruby's cyro rockets streaked across the open area of the Spinal Core toward the side above where she and the other Voidrunners were fighting. The rockets exploded over a section of the opposite block, covering it in ice. But whether it had trapped the sniper, she was unable to confirm. Not far from Ruby, Roulette felt a strange sensation enter his mind, as an outside presence tried to take control. But the Zultasian con-man turned bounty hunter was able to resist the influence, pushing whomever it was out of his mind. I was unable to take control of Turk. A mental voice stated to the other bounty hunters currently engaged with the Voidrunners.

guide gab Freedom League lineup and role

I think you are bringing things back to the question you raised in the other thread Alder, namely whether the PC League member should take center stage (rather than just being the auxiliary to the book NPC League). How that question is answered is likely to have a significant impact on what the NPC lineup on the League might look like (whether the NPCs become the auxiliary members and/or serve to flush out the core League roster). So, I think the first question is do we want to continue the paradigm where the PCs were focused on the more "local" threats while the NPCs were more globally focused, or do we want to flip it around? As Alder notes, at this point we have several PCs who have been members of the League for several years (just focusing on League PCs here), Velocity joined over 8 years ago. It would certainly make sense that those PCs would start to take on a more central role in the League, and could help recruit other PCs to expand the roster. I agree with Alder that arguments for an NPC focused League are not particularly strong after so many years as an active site with long running characters (and even new PCs!). Although I do not feel we need to jettison all the NPCs on the League, I do think we should make it more PC focused. -

Thinking about who might step up as leader if we phase out Thunder is an important consideration KD. Something we have not really discussed with Pseudo is the fact that with the large number of independent Grue following the Incursion, he might dedicate some time to them. While making Johnny Rocket step up as a possible leader could be an interesting character development for him, I think there is another potential candidate. While Bowman might only be 30, he has 12 years on the team, and also was leader of Next-Gen while at Claremont, so it could make some sense he steps into the roll.
-
Well, there has been discussion around that from time to time for more than a year. There just has not been much in the way of any push by anyone to really move it forward beyond the retirements we have had take place. A part of it could well be that other ideas have been taking our focus.

Rux gets a 30 on her Reflex save, and with Evasion, she dodges the attack.

Lawrence sat down across from Gretchen, his expression becoming rather serious and focused as he looked at the board. "I have no real preference, so you many choose." He responded to her question as he waited for her to choose a color and the set up to begin. Robert took a seat in the living room on a chair near the couch Samuel was seated at. "Ah yes, research can be become something of an obsession, although quite rewarding. Although I cannot say I have much experience with magic." He stated. "And of course, these days, my research tends to be something more of a hobby." A glass of wine in her hand, Megan followed Lynn onto the patio. "So, how have things been going?" She asked as the other woman started to cook the food.

At best I think Bowman is only just hitting 30 KD (he graduated Claremont in 2004, so if he was 18 then that makes him just 30 this year). I believe Johnny Rocket is older than him, although the book is not quite as clear when he joined the League, but it was before Bowman. He might only be a couple years older. I think that Captain Thunder is probably a good candidate for considering retiring, as he is easily pushing 50, if not late 50s.

Velocity (1) Nothing Fancy, Just Hanging Out (1) GM (4) Praetorians: the Deadly Dozen (2) Revanche: At the Point of a Sword (1) Revanche: Engines of Destruction (1) (So, go ahead and split out the GM posts so Synapse, Paradigm and Tsunami all get a post. Don't worry about any Ref point this month)

GM Seresk had been listening quietly as Sitara and the others spoke about what she had learned during her time in this region of space. The large reptilian Praetorian was studying the holographic map as the other spoke, noting the various divisions of the area that had been created in the months following the Incursion. When Sitara focused on the large central region of the sector, Seresk rubbed his scalled chin with thick fingers a moment before he spoke up. "Unless I am mistaken, is that not the center of what had been the Khanate, the region still declaring its allegiance to Star Khan?"

GM The hanger If Ambassador Raal was bothered by Mater Vyrdna's not-so-veiled threat, he did not show any indication of it, instead focusing his attention on Corona. "The Stellar Khanate is grateful for the Republic's willingness to offer assistance in these difficult times." He replied to the Lor officer with a small nod. "But perhaps it would be best to discuss this further with the Republic ambassador and other Coalition representatives in a more private setting." The ambassador then commented looking over to Paradigm. "Of course ambassador." The Praetorian Imperatrix replied. "If you would be so kind as to follow us, we will take you to the meeting chambers immediately." Paradigm gestured toward the main exit of the hanger, and then started in that direction, as the ambassador moved up near her. Lady Tal'gar followed after, moving next to Corona. Justicar Vor walked between Mater Vyrdna and Galvanic. Ten of the Khanate troopers followed after the main group, along with some of the station Peacekeepers who were present. The passages leading from the hanger were empty of any other station inhabitants, the Peacekeepers having cleared them prior to the shuttle's arrival. Once the group reached the main plaza, the larger open section of the station that housed the embassies and other governmental buildings that had been established, the group passed by crowds of station inhabitants, the majority of who stopped to regard the group as it moved by. Praetorian Command Center Adjusting the sensors of the drone network, Tatiana began scanning the space beyond the Khanate ship. The initial readings did not pick up anything save the normal space traffic the busy station normally experienced.

Okay, Mater is up, I will give Vahn a bit of time to act.

GM If Cavalier's banter was intended to distract Zadvian, the attempt fell flat, as the F'terrix dove to one side, avoiding the barrage of energy the Star Knight sent toward the criminal. Rolling back up to his feet, Zadvian quickly glanced from Cavalier to Traveller and then to Dragonid, clearly not liking the odds he was currently facing. Back at the downed spaceship, X'Madi sent another blast of telekinetic energy toward Paradigm. However, the hovering Praetorian managed to dodge the poorly aimed attack. The former Lor mentat frowned, noting that the tide of the battle was turning badly against them at the moment. We need to get them off balance. She stated over the telepathic network Pheydyn had set up. Try to take over the leader's mind and us her against them.

Ex, that notice check will not be good enough to spot Rux. Also, that attack sadly misses Pheydyn.
-
Ex, I think the closest is currently Zadvian, who currently has Dragonid, Traveller and Cavalier attacking him. You could always try to see if you can spot where Rux (the teleporter) might be. Also, I will say you can see Paradigm facing off with X'Madi and Pheydyn in the ruble of the hanger atop the damaged star yacht they were trying to escape in.
-
Sadly that is a miss TT. X'Madi will attack Paradigm with another telekinetic blast, but misses with a 9. With Vahn still away, we will go with Moon-Moth being up Ex!
-
GM The blast from Traveller's power pike sent Zadvian to the ground, dazing the F'terrix in the process. As the criminal was knocked to the ground, Dragonid flew overhead. "Well done Traveller." He commented with a growl before sending jet of flame at the downed, but still conscious opponent. The flames singed Zadvian's fur, injuring him, but failed to finish him off. Instead, the F'terrix snarled in anger as he rolled backward and gracefully sprung back to his feet, quickly following by leaping up into the air toward the low flying reptilian Praetorian. But Dragonid managed to bank to one side, avoiding Zadvian's sharp claws as the criminal dropped back down to the ground after the missed attack. Over across the plaza near the governor's building, Cor climbed slowly back to his feet after Mater Vyrdna's powerful attack. The towering alien raised one glowing hand as a glowing, opaque blue energy dome formed around the criminal, shielding him from Mater and Moon-Moth.
