Paradigm gave a small nod at Mater Vyrdna's reply. "I welcome observations and thoughts of any Praetorian Mater. I may be Imperatrix, but only because the group has selected me as such." When Galvanic appeared in the command center, Paradigm turned toward her, providing quick introductions to those the Tempestian did not already know. "While there is certainly much to be wary about with the Khanate's presence, we are somewhat of different minds as what their actual objectives might be. However, even Ambassador Th'emme is willing to play along for the moment in an attempt to learn what they may be after." She then stated to the new arrival. "So, the current plan is yourself, Mater Vyrdna, Corona and I will met the Khanate ambassador's shuttle when it arrives on the station and escort him to meet with the Coalition council members currently onboard. While we do that, other Praetorians will be keeping an eye on the Khanate cruiser."

Okay, Notice checks for the Voidrunners please
-
Not far from the Voidrunners... A dark clad figure walked through the crowds of the Spinal Core, red eyes scanning the area as it moved smoothly among the crowds. Coming to a halt in the shadow of one of the permanent structures, the figure put his back to the wall and looked down at the chronometer on one wrist. <Is everyone in position?> The figure through "out loud," the message transmitted over a mental network to others within the Spinal Core. As the affirmative mental replies came, the figure focused back on the crowd. <Alright then, time for us to earn our pay. Just need to find a suitable target for starting things off.> The figure stated once everyone had checked in. <One moment. I think I have spotted just the thing.> The figure then added, focusing across the crowd. In another section of the Spinal Core Kresh Melek made her way through the crowds of CoVic Station's central market place, a task made somewhat easy by her towering form and the unwillingness of most others in the area to block her path. The Lyankanian had only recently returned to CoVic Station, to seek out her former comrades in the Praetorians once again to rejoin their ranks. While Kresh had left the Praetorians not long after the end of the Incursion, she had known of Imperatrix Val-Ren's plan to establish a headquarters for the organization in CoVic Station. So she had been able to find transport back to the bustling space station, arriving in one of the lower level hangers.

Starshot looked over Laark's wounds after the large alien had set up the makeshift shelter and Soreen had all but passed out on the rocky ground. The wounds were healing well, in part thanks to the sealant from the medical kit. They only require minimal binding now, and should be fully healed in a day or so more, assuming nothing happened to aggravate them again. With that done, Starshot organized an alternating watch schedule for them until it night came once again to cool the air and sands. The heat of the day wore on, as they group stood their watch and slept as best they could. Starshot had been in the middle of finally getting some sleep when he was nudged away by Soreen. "Hey boss, we've got company." She said, her blaster in hand, but not yet raised, as she turned away from Starshot and back out towards the sand beyond the rocks. Sitting up and looking out to where Soreen was facing, Starshot saw close to two dozen very unusual figures approaching them. Each was a creature that generally resembled an octopi, except their bodies were plum-purple, and highly decorated with feathers, primitive jewelry, tattoos and bright paint. Each carried spears and war clubs in four of their tentacles, and were riding on the back of mounts which resembled two-legged dinosaurs that were close to four meters long from snout to tail. The octopi dinosaur riders had spread out some, and stopped about one hundred meters from where the group had their makeshift shelter. Their weapons were clearly in hand, but not readied in any threatening manner.

With both Adiri and Varlis both unconscious and well in hand, Paradigm turned her attention back down toward the city below. Accelerating downward, the Naram nearly broke the sound barrier as she quickly closed with the landing field where the Devotion was still sitting. Most of the rest of the Praetorians were gone, with only Seresk still out on the landing field, having taken down some of the rogue police drones that had wondered nearby. Kharag was sitting on the ramp into the Devotion, one hand over the wound to his side. Both looked up as Paradigm drew near, landing nearby and setting down the two unconscious supercriminals. "It appears you were successful in catching Varlis Imperatrix." Sersek stated as he looked down at the unconscious reptilian speedster. "As well as subduing Adiri." "Yes, she did not surrender willingly, but I was able to stun her and then knock her out." Paradigm replied. "Which way have the others gone." "That way, towards the governor's offices." Seresk replied, pointing in the direction the other Praetorians had gone. "Then I will be on my way." Paradigm replied, as she rose back into the air to prepare to follow after the others.

The group continued through the heat of the day, avoiding the dangers Starshot had spotted under the sands, even though he did not specify what it was he had seen. They made a few stops in some occasional shade provided by large rock formations, eating a meal before continuing onward. As night came and the air began to cool, they pressed onward, using the cooler temperature to allow them to go further with less water consumption. But as dawn began to approach, all three were beginning to tire, particularly Soreen, who was near exhaustion. Realizing the danger of trying to press on at this point, particularly with the sun getting ready to rise once more and bring the intense heat, Starshot spotted what appeared to be a suitable section of rocky ground in the distance which could provide some protection from any of the sand sharks, and provide sufficient shade, along with their makeshift shelter, too keep the sun off them while they rested through the day.

Santri is a he. Not sure why you would think a 23 would miss, but that is a hit. He gets a 14 on his grapple check, so he is pinned and considered bound!
-
Okay TT, to expedite things, lets say you get through one of the airlocks of the Kavaca and then through the one connected with the pirate ship. Just beyond that airlock, you find several pirates that are all off balance as the ship is rolling out of control (but slowly).

Dee frowned slightly at the information that her sister had not been doing well lately, but when Erik offered his elbow, she put her arm around his, tankful for his support to help her through. "I am sure you will do fine" She replied aloud. <Also, try not to send any mental comments while we are there.> She then added, using her abilities for the first time in over an hour. <Even with medications, it can sometimes disturb Susan.> The two followed after the nurse as she led them down the halls until they reached Susan's room. Knocking on the door as she unlocked it, the nurse announced their presence. "Susan, your sister and a friend are here." Susan's room was well furnished, with a bed, table and chair and dresser. Several personal items were in place throughout the room, pictures of Dee, their bother and their parents, as well as an acoustic guitar, which sat up against one of the walls in a corner. The resemblance between Susan and Dee was clear, although Susan’s hair was their natural blonde. However, Susan had a much more haggard, tired look, and seemed to have an aura of despair around her. She was seated on her bed, wearing a long gown, her knees up at her chest where she had been looking at the clouds outside. But as Dee and Erick made their way inside, she turned and regarded them, a trace of a smile coming to her face. "Hi Dee." She said as Dee let go of Erick's arm and came over to sit next to Susan and gave her a hug. Susan returned the hug, while her blue eyes, so similar to Dee's, focused on Erick. "You've never brought a boyfriend here before."

"Why have any of the plagues hit where they have?" Velocity said in reply to Frost's open question as she continued to help clear the path ahead of civilians and any others. "Two in Freedom City, and amusement park and a hospital, but the others in Providence and Nuevo Laredo? There is no apparent connection between the locations yet." The yellow clad speedster skid to a halt as she continued to wave people in a direction away from the approaching plague bringer. "So, we ready for Psyche to take the first shot and then be ready for a backup plan as needed?"

Okay, teleporting in, Mater finds a dozen regular pirates, all flung about the room, plus two Broans.
-
On the Surface of Galor III, Yollon City The magical barrier pushed back not only the large pirate that had thrown the rock at Moon-Moth, but the two that were trying to clear a path through the barrier and the one Shell had been fighting. The other pirates were easily pushed over or forced to fall back from the barrier as it pushed them back away from the valley. The large pirate that had been throwing rocks at Moon-Moth took a powerful swing at the silver barrier, causing some cracks to appear in it. The other two large pirates that had been clearing the rock barrier also smashed their fists into the mystical wall, creating more cracks, but the magical barrier remained in place.

Okay, three of the tough pirates are going to hit Moon-Moth's barrier, the barrier gets 21, 15 and 21 on its saves, the latter two being reduced by 1 and then 2 as it takes damage. So, it is still in place, but at -3 toughness. Mater is up in her normal order Vahn!

Just in case anyone wanted to know, here is the updated map accounting for bad guys that have been taken out. Quick Key: X = minion criminal H = minion criminal with a heavy weapon 1 = Sullek 2 = Santri 3 = Zadvian 4 = Cor The green letters are the Praetorians currently present (Co = Corona; Ca = Cav; V = Mater Vyrdna; M = Moon-Moth; T = Traveller; and D = Dragonid) The uneven line around Corona and Moon-Moth represents the part of the roof Corona collapsed. The dotted line in the main building represents when the offices begin, everything else below Corona and Moon-Moth is an open atrium.
-
The tough pirate only gets a 17, so as he tries to push against the barrier, he is pushed back. The tough pirate Shell was attacking is also pushed back (as he was dazed and could not resist). So go ahead and push a bunch of pirates back in your IC post (and can mention the big one trying, and failing, to resist).

GM Moon-Moth's silvery geometric cube slammed down at the group of criminals and Sullek. Most of the criminals were unable to get out of the path of the magically created object, and were bludgeoned into unconsciousness. One of the criminals was able to dive to one side, taking on an glancing blow, which he managed to resist. Sullek meanwhile dove out of the path of the object, rolling back up to his feet completely unharmed. The cyborg then turned to focus on where Cavalier hovered in the air, leaping up at the Star Knight and swinging his sword as he passed by to land back on the ground a short distance passed. Luckily Cavalier saw Sullek leap toward him, and was able to dodge out of the way of the cyborg's sword. A rift in space opened near Mater Vyrdna, as Rux leapt out, slashing at with her plasma sword, which raked across Mater's back. Rux then disappeared into another rift in space and vanished from sight as it closed back behind her.

Okay Seresk is not anywhere he can act currently. Rux teleports out into the air to attack Mater, hitting with a 19, so a DC 25 toughness save for Mater. Then Rux teleports out of sight. Sullek will leap into the air to attack Cav, but misses with a 14. Corona is up Rav!
-
Ex, give me a power check for pushing back on the Tough pirates (you will be able to push back the normal ones, but the tough ones might stop it from moving further)
-
Okay, the six criminals make their Reflex saves: only one makes it. So, their Toughness saves: 21, 24, 6, 22, 16, 18, so the second one, who made his Reflex save, only had a DC 20 toughness save, so he made his, all the other's failed and are out. Sullek easily makes his reflex save with a 30. He has Evasion, so dodges the attack altogether.

We do not have to really differentiate between "Bronze award", "Silver award" etc, because they are all the same now. This is roughly what things look like then KD: Veteran Progress: 123 / 150 Basic Character Slots: PL 10 / 150: Gabriel PL 8 / 150: Thoughtspeed (uses PL 10 slot) PL 7 / 105: Cobalt Templar Veteran Rewards: 3 / 5 Spent Slot 1: Sun Walker (PL 10/ 150 PP, could be built up to PL 12/180 PP, plus what he has already earned) Slot 2: Nevermore (originally built as PL 8/120 PP, could be built up to PL 8-12/180 PP, plus what he has already earned) Slot 3: Equipment 4 to Nevermore (11 PP unspent) Slot 4: Unspent Slot 5: Unpsent Retired Characters: Fenris This of course assumes you bring all these active characters back.

Well, what Tiff means is that with your first Reward Character Slot, the character can be PL 8 (120PP); PL 10 (150PP) or PL 12 (180PP), at your discretion, instead of the way it used to be (which was a bit of a pain to track). Currently, your progress entry would roughly look like this: Veteran Progress: 123 / 150 Basic Character Slots: PL 10 / 150: PL 10 / 150: PL 7 / 105: Veteran Rewards: ? / 5 Spent Slot 1: Slot 2: Slot 3: Slot 4: Slot 5: Retired Characters: N/A Clearly I have not placed any of your existing characters into the various slots, but yes, you have more than enough reward slots (assuming you have not used some for Equipment/sidekicks/etc) to remake most of your lower PL characters start in reward slots, meaning their base PP could be up to 180 (plus whatever you have earned with them thus far). If you let me know what rewards you have, or have not spent, I can get your reward tracking entry done (will save the need to go back and fix if I make incorrect guess on how things should be).

Hey KD! So, to address your two questions (though mainly the first one): 1) The new reward tracking system is tied to the player, and not individual characters. It is probably best to explain how the new reward system will work in your particular case. Gabe has the most advancement toward your next veteran award tier, and we use the progress Gabe has as your "starting point" under the new system. So we create a record for you in the guide book (Member Progress Reference) that uses what Gabe currently has toward Impervium and lists your various characters and veteran awards earned (and we recently created a new award for players who have maxed out a character, like you have as well). So, going forward, each month when we count your posts and give characters PPs, the highest PP earned by any of your characters will then be added to your advancement toward Impervium. (So, if this month Thoughtspeed gets the most with 3PP, those 3 PP are added in, if next month Nevermore gets the most with 4 PP, those 4 get added in, ect). You never have to play Gabe again to continue using the advancement he made toward Impervium (but of course can play him all you want). 2) I have a bit less to say on this at the moment without looking at your characters, though as I recall they were both pretty well built, so I am not sure there has to be any major changes. I can take a look and see if I see anything though.

Orbit above Galor III The pirate capital ship continued to roll slightly as the planet's gravity helped the rotation that had already been started by the maneuvering it had been executing when disabled. Given the configuration of the vessel, it was very likely everyone aboard not strapped in was getting tossed about, which would certainly delay any repair attempts. "I am ready to assist as needed Sri Steward." Seresk added over the comm channel. Surface of Galor III, Yoloon City With the larger pirate still engaging Moon-Moth, several of the others appeared still willing to fight, as four opened fire on the Praetorian. Most missed, but one managed to hit the Lanturian with a blaster bolt. Another four of the pirates fired on Shell, who was now alone up on the barriers Moon-Moth had created. Most of the blasts missed, a couple blasting small rocks off the barrier, but one managed to hit the mercenary, causing her to grunt in pain as it managed to pierce the armored battle suit. The mercenary ignored the other pirates for the moment, dropping down next to the larger one she had knocked down, slashing down at it with her plasma sword. The blade slammed into the large pirate, injuring him, but not finishing him. Then, several of the other mercenaries that had been retreating reappeared, having taken advantage of the break provided by Moon-Moth's barrier to circle back around to higher ground. They now opened fire on several of the pirates that were trying to climb over the barrier, knocking several down and causing others to seek cover.
