  1. Okay, some more pirates keep shooting at Moon-Moth, and get: 9, 9, 12, 23, so one hit (DC 20 Toughness save). Four also shoot at Shell, 17, 9, 24, 9, one hit there as well. Shell gets a 16, so another bruise. Some of the other mercenaries counter attack, taking down some pirates and drawing others attention. Round Ten 28 Shell (bruised 2) 20 Moon-Moth (unharmed, 3 HP) 8 Tough pirates (4 on planet, one bruised 2) 7 Mater Vyrdna (unharmed, 0 HP) 5 Cavalier (bruised 2, 2 HP) 5 Pirates (many on planet) Shell drops down to deal with the tough pirate she already hurt, scoring a critical hit. The pirate gets a 26 on his toughness, so is only bruised again. Moon-Moth is up!
  2. All but one miss their reflex saves (the first roll is the Heavy weapon guy). All miss their toughness saves (even the guy who made his reflex save and was only saving vs DC 20 toughness. So, they are all out, and the blast punches through the wall of the building as well (luckily Corona and Moon-Moth are up in the air!)
  3. The heat of the sun was bearing down on Starshot and his crew as they took down the makeshift shelter and started off once more. While travelling through the heat of the day would increase some of their water use (less for Starshot and Laark, who were more resistant to the heat), it would also make up for the lost time. Now more alerted to the possible dangers of the desert, Starshot kept a careful eye on the ground, and what was under it. As they moved through the day, he spotted a couple of other creatures that were buried under the sands, apparently waiting for prey to come by. One was a medium sized creature about a meter and a half long, resembling something like a cross between a snake and a salamander. While it had forelimbs on its long body, they were rather small, as opposed to its longer and more powerful rear legs. This creature was just under a section of sand and loose rocks, and easily avoided by the group. The second creature was even more terrifying than the sand shark that had attacked them. It was a long, segmented, worm like creature measuring over six meters long and with powerful mandibles on the side of its mouth. This creature lay some five meters under the sand, again seemingly waiting for something to cross overhead to be attacked.
  4. Okay, they all miss their Reflex saves and then also miss their toughness saves, so our out. Eternal Dragon is up GO!
  5. Although Dr. Warp's latest attack missed the already battered lightning wielding thug, he and the ice gauntlet thug were both on the ropes. Neither was currently able to act, as they had both been dazed by various attacks. But they were still conscious, at least for the moment. But even as the three heroes focused on the two gauntlet wielding thugs, three other men in ski masks and dark clothes appeared at the hole in the wall of the bank. But none of them were wearing oversized gauntlets on their hands, instead, they were carrying pistols in one hand, the other holding large sacks that were over one shoulder. The three glanced at the scene around them, seeing their powered companions apparently losing to the gathered heroes. So they started running off down the sidewalk away from the battle…
  6. Okay, added some more stuff in the IC post. Round Five 25 Bonfire (unharmed, 1 HP) 22 Eternal Dragon (bruised, 1 HP) 21 Ice Thug (bruised, dazed) 10 Dr. Warp (Unharmed, 1 HP) 10 Lightning Thug (bruised 4, dazed) Last Normal thugs (three) Okay, with the thugs all dazed, we are back to Bonfire!
  7. Okay, wherever X'Madi is, her actions are not immediately noticeable by anyone, so, Mater is up Vahn!
  8. "Being the first in the line of fire was one of the primary purposes of the Praetorians in the view of the empire." Paradigm stated with a faint smile as she replied to Mater Vyrdna's comments about how the Lor were letting the Praetorians be in the immediate danger zone of this was some sort of trap. "And now that is position we have continued to put ourselves in with the role we have elected to take in this new era." "I do not doubt that Ambassador Th'emme has dealings and plans which she does not share with me, but I believe she can be trusted to not view us as simply expendable pawns." The Naram then added. "The Lor have had far more experience in dealing with the Khanate than we have, so while their view may be somewhat hardened, we can afford to follow the Ambassador's lead in this. I also believe that if she senses that the Khanate is truly looking for assistance or to repair relations, she would be willing to set aside her animosity to work with them to such a goal. After all, during the Incursion, she and the Grue representative were able to set aside centuries of hostility and find agreement." Any further comments Paradigm had intended to make were interrupted as a hologram of Galvanic appeared near the small group. "Greetings Galvanic, it is good to see you again." Paradigm said in greeting to the other woman who had stood alongside her and Rock against Star Khan during the Incursion, and had in fact delivered the final blow that knocked the partially cybernized tyrant unconscious "Yes, a Khanate warship has approached the station. So far they are claiming they are here on a diplomatic mission and wish to meet with Lor Ambassador Th'emme, along with representatives from several other Coalition members on the station." "I am organizing a small group to greet the Khanate ambassador when he arrives and act as an escort. I was hoping you might be willing to be part of that group."
  9. TT, you forgot to add 10 to the base roll of 9 because you spent a HP, so that would be a 29, so you made the first save. All three of the criminals miss their toughness saves and are knocked back and out.
  10. Okay, with the Ice thug dazed, Dr. Warp is up Cape!
  11. Surface of Galor III, Yollon City Even as Moon-Moth bound the pirate that had hit him with a blaster bolt, one of the large pirates again picked up a rock and hurled it at the Praetorian. But the pirate's aim was well off, the rock sailing several feet overhead and arching a good ways down the street to smash into the side of a building. A short distance away, two of the other hulking pirates were trying to clear a path through the barrier that Moon-Moth had dropped in their path. While they were making some headway, they still some distance to go and were otherwise distracted from taking part in the fight for the time being.
  12. Okay, one of the tough pirates continues trying to hit Moon-Moth with rocks, missing. The other two are working to try to clear a path through the barrier Moon-Moth created. Mater is up Vahn!
  13. With a plan decided on, the Praetorians set to work preparing to execute it. Mater Vyrdna was the busiest, programming the Kavaca to act at the decoy and then transmuting some of the ships spare parts into a small space vehicle to help transport herself, Elite and Corona (who were the slower fliers among the group). Magnetar had kept them on course at a steady speed as the preparations were made. Once they were all done, the group moved into one of the ship's airlocks, exiting out through the side as Mater guided the makeshift vehicle she, Elite and Corona were riding in, as the Kavaca proceeded into the edge of the asteroid field.
  14. Time seemed almost to drag to a stand-still as the three Voidrunners moved through forest in the direction of one of the other crash sites. While the terrain was relatively easy to move across, trying to move as quietly as possible was still slow going. And even going slow, Bliss was not doing a particularly good job of being quiet. To Seika's ears, the Xuli'pa might as well have been banging metal utensils together as she walked. But after about an hour of moving slowly toward the crash site, Kahi'iru heard some other noise up ahead of them that stood out from the normal sounds of the forest. It sounded like a number of individuals moving over behind a rise, but how many was difficult to determine....
  15. Okay, going to assume that Seika takes 10 on both Goose. And Bliss takes 10 on her Stealth TA. IC post incoming.
  16. Soreen gave a small smirk at Starshot's comment about hopefully not needing the modified smoke grenades. "You really think that? There are still who knows how many miles till we get where we are trying to go. There are bound to be all sorts of other threats out there." She stated before she laid down to get some sleep in the shade. The test of the day passed rather uneventfully, Starshot alternating between getting some sleep, keeping an eye on Laark and trying to figure out where they might be. The carrion bird like creatures, which slightly resembled a cross between a pterosaur and a vulture, continued to pick at the carcass of the sand shark, a few venturing over near the group's makeshift shelter, but easily scared away with a thrown rock. Starshot used the daylight to find several other landmarks around them, comparing them to the sensor scans the Xeno had made of the surface as they were crashing and coming up with a rough location for them. As best as he could tell, they were a little under 200 kilometers still from the lake and the reading of technology, all through desert. They were just slightly over 100 kilometers from some grasslands that bordered the forested area. But even better, they were only about 48 kilometers from a somewhat vegetated area in the middle of the desert, perhaps an oasis or the like. When night arrived, Laark was still not well enough to travel, but was starting to heal. As best as Starshot could estimate, if they waited till late next morning, the large alien might be well enough to walk at a good pace. So Starshot and Soreen began alternating watches through the night. The time passed uneventfully, although at one point in the night Starshot saw another of those sand shark things pass nearby under the sands, but apparently not detect them. By mid-morning, Laark had healed enough that he could walk with only the slightest limp, so the group should be able to press on at a normal pace.
  17. Your 28 on the Fort save means you don't loose any Toughness Rav. Still, good rolls!
  18. GM Traveller continued on after Mater Vyrdna and Cavalier, pushing her suit's thrusters as hard as she could. She came up toward the front of the building as the fight was truly starting to heat up. A group of six criminals gathered in front of Cavalier all took aim at the Star Knight, opening fire with their blasters. Most of the shots missed, but two managed to strike the Terran. Just off to the right, another group of six criminals took aim at Mater Vyrdna, firing at the Praetorian. Of the group, only one managed to hit the target, one coming very close while the other four missed wildly. The group of six criminals off to the left took aim at the newly arrived Traveller, opening fire almost in unison. The veteran fighter was able to dodge aside and make four of the shots miss, but the last two led their shots a bit better, and managed to hit Traveller. Further off to the right side of the building, another group of six criminals started running toward the fight. Down below Corona and Moon-Moth, a short, stocky humanoid with three thick fingers stepped into view, the pair recognizing Santri from the briefing materials provided by the Lor. The superpowered criminal looked up through the ruined roof, raising one of his hands which glowed dark red before he sent a blast of energy up towards Corona, managing to hit the Lor officer. Dragonid came flying after Traveller, easily catching up with her as the escaped criminals finished their attacks. Turning toward the group to the left that had shot at Traveller, the reptilian Praetorian focused on the criminal near that group with the heavy weapon, opening his mouth and sending a powerful jet of flame at the criminal. The fire washed over the alien holding the heavy weapon, rendering him quickly unconscious, as the flames continued on past, striking another of the escaped criminals who was also knocked unconscious. Then, in a flash of brown fur, Zadvian came running out from the right side of the building, quickly moving around the gathered escaped criminals (but not nearly moving as fast as Procyus or Varlis had been). The F'terrix closed with Mater Vyrdna, snarling as he did and slashing the Praetorian with his sharp claws. Following after Zadvian, but at a much slower pace, was the towering form of Cor, who began to close the distance toward the fight, a glowing two-handed maul in his grip.
  19. So there is the new map. Quick Key: X = minion criminal H = minion criminal with a heavy weapon 1 = Sullek 2 = Santri 3 = Zadvian 4 = Cor The green letters are the Praetorians currently present (Co = Corona; Ca = Cav; V = Mater Vyrdna; M = Moon-Moth; T = Traveller; and D = Dragonid) The uneven line around Corona and Moon-Moth represents the part of the roof Corona collapsed. The dotted line in the main building represents when the offices begin, everything else below Corona and Moon-Moth is an open atrium.
  20. Okay, as Traveller has to make a full move action this round to get to where the action is, I am moving us on ahead with her having done that to reach the building. The minion criminals are going to start acting, in groups for the moment. One group that was off to one side of the building is going to spend the round moving closer, so no attacks for them. Another group is going to fire on Mater Vyrdna: 8, 6, 21, 17, 8, 7, so one hit, a DC 20 toughness save for Mater. Another group will attack Traveller: 11, 7, 10, 24, 21, 13, so two hits, also DC 20 toughness saves. And the last group will attack Cavalier: 17, 15, 22, 18, 13, 21, so two hits as well, also DC 20 toughness saves. Magnetar is trying to catch up, but also dealing with more of the police drones blasting at the city, so he is still a ways back. Santri will step out among the rubble of the roof that Corona just collapsed and fire a disintegration blast at her and hits with a 21. So that is a DC 20 Fort save to avoid a Toughness drain, then a DC 25 toughness save for Corona! Dragonid flies up and uses his line attack on one of the crooks with a heavy weapon (potentially hitting a normal one behind as well), both miss the reflex saves and then miss the toughness saves as well. Round Eleven 35 Zadvian (unharmed) 22 Cor (unharmed) 22 Cavalier (bruised, 3 HP) 21 X'Madi (unharmed) 21 Mater Vyrdna (Unharmed, 1HP) 21 Moon-Moth (Unharmed, 0 HP) 21 Seresk (unharmed) 20 Rux (unharmed) 19 Sullek (bruised) 14 Corona (Unharmed, 2 HP) 13 Paradigm (bruised, 1 HP) 12 Pheydyn (unharmed) 9 Heavy Weapon criminal (1 armed with heavy weapons, minion) 8 Traveller (Unharmed, 2 HP) 8 Escaped criminals (multiple, all minions) 7 Magnetar (Unharmed) 7 Santri (unharmed) 4 Dragonid (Unharmed) Zadvian comes running out from the side of the building to attack Mater, hitting with a 24, so a DC 25 toughness save for Mater. Cor also comes from around the side of the building, but is not very fast so he only closes some. So recap of saves needed: Cav: 2 DC 20 toughness Mater: a DC 20 toughness and then a DC 25 toughness Traveller: 2 DC 20 toughness Corona: a DC 20 Fort (vs drain toughness!) then a DC 25 toughness. Cav is then up! (map coming!)
  21. "Thank you Ty." Tsunami stated as the boy mentioned seeing the one responsible for turning the park's water into blood. The dark haired heroine glanced the direction Ty pointed, concerned with the implications of the culprit now being near the water along the Narrows. "We shall deal with this woman, but first I need to get you back to your father." Moving as quickly back to where Ty's father was waiting as she could, Tsunami dropped the boy off with his dad, giving both a small smile before the turned back to the situation at hand. "Temperance," Tsunami stated, addressing the other hero she knew, but speaking loudly enough for the others to hear as well, "apparently the one responsible for this is down on the pier."
  22. Seresk followed after Moon-Moth and Cavalier as they made their way over to Traveller's table. While the others took seats across from her, the larger reptilian Praetorian took a seat on the ground at one end of the table. He still rose above the table as far as any of the other three, perhaps even more so "It is good to see you Sitrara." He stated as Moon-Moth cast his spell over their table. "Paradigm wanted to be sure you got this." Seresk then added, handing Sitara a small satchel, which contained some of her clothes, and her extra pair of boots.
  23. "Yeah, I understand that." Soreen replied with a frown as Starshot commented on the lack of any options that did not put them in a great deal of danger. Holstering her blaster, she set to work helping him set up a makeshift shelter to at least keep the sun’s direct glare off of them. It did not take too long to get the shelter up. While the air was still hot, the shade did help to some degree. As Laark drifted off to sleep, Soreen and Starshot set to work modifying his remaining smoke grenades. The first one took a bit of time, but the second proved much easier to do, once they had figured out the tricks with the first one. As they worked, Starshot noted a number of small winged creatures had landed on the carcass of the sand creature and began eating at the carrion.
  24. He completely fails his reflex save and is bound and helpless.
  25. That is a bruise then, and your up!
