Dee nodded with understand as Erick mentioned the possibility that while they were busy trying to get information about Dr. Bhwarda, something could happen with the others. <Well, unfortunately we are playing defensive here to an extent, so we have no way of knowing when the rogue agents might strike. But personally, I would prefer trying to get some information about what we might not know while we wait for things to happen. Never know what we might learn.> She replied mentally. "So...that just leaves us with arranging a massive block party."

Yeah, that is a hit. He gets a 21, so another bruise and dazed. Plus a lot of knockback. I'll call it right into the wall where his fire friend was knocked to. He only gets a 15 on the second toughness save, so, another bruise!
-
Yeah, he cannot beat that, so he is set up for the next person (I assume ED). I will say you can catch both Fire and Ice in the area damage effect. Both miss their Reflex saves, so take full damage. The Fire thug gets a 8 on his toughness save, so it out. The Ice thug gets a 16, so is bruised and dazed. Eternal Dragon is up GO!

"I've had worse." Laark grunted, as he gritted his teeth as Starshot set to work looking at the wounds. "Those crystal mountains are easily a hundred miles away, if not more." Sorreen noted as she sat off to one side, keeping an eye out on the dunes around them for any sign of another such creature. "And it looks like we have to cross a lot of sand to get to them, or anywhere else for that matter." Now that he had a clearly view of the injury, Starshot found that it was not quite as bad as he had expected. The wounds were serious, to be sure, several deep punctures from the creature's long teeth, but there did not appear to be any serious tearing of the organs and muscles below, simply the punctures. Starshot was fairly confident that with some sealant from the medical kit and a bit of rest, Laark would be much improved, which would certainly speed up the group getting out of this desert. Of course that would mean a delay here as they allowed the large alien to rest.

If Madame Marvelous had meant to insult Tsunami by stating she had never heard of her, it failed to achieve the desired effect. Giang was not one to seek publicity or fame, instead preferring to go unnoticed when she engaged in hero work. Nor did she rise to the teasing from the villainess either, remaining focused on listening what Madame Marvelous had to say. "Well, while I am certainly interested in stopping a criminal, do not expect that means I will simply look the other way as you slip away."

While the goon wielding the lightning gauntlets had been focused on Eternal Dragon, the car slamming into one of his companions had certainly drawn his attention. As Dr. Warp made his appearance, the tech wielding crook could only look at the newcomer in shock. "A car? You coulda killed him!" He finally yelled out, paying little heed to Eternal Dragon now, as he raised on of his overlarge gauntlets and fired a bolt of electricity at the short, fat hero. However, despite untypical appearance, Dr. Warp was much quicker on his feet than one would expect, and he deftly dodged the blast, which blew a chunk out of the pavement further down the block.

Seresk gave a solemn nod in response to Moon-Moth's comment about the "good old days," recalling a time two millennium ago. But the large Praetorian did not let thoughts of the past distract him from their current mission. Following after Moon-Moth and Cavalier, Seresk only had to duck down slightly to pass through the large entrance to the cantina. Once inside the three Praetorians found a slightly dim, smoky establishment, filled with dozens of patrons from nearly as many races. Those nearest the door turned slightly to regard the newcomers, some appearing somewhat nervous about Seresk, but eventually all turned back to their drinks or conversations, paying the newcomers no mind. "Sitara is in a back corner." Seresk stated, his height allowing him to see over much of the crowd.

While the fire wielding thug was focused on Bonfire, and disappointed he had missed the crime fighter, he failed to note a shadow that passed over the dim streets, as a mid-sized car came sailing through the air to slam into the thug. The forcefield surrounding the thug flickered from the impact, saving the man from being outright killed, but he was still sent flying backward, slamming into an undamaged section of the bank's wall about fifteen feet away. This second impact caused no further harm to the thug, who dropped down onto the ground, dazed, but not too badly hurt for the moment.

Okay, IC post. Also I am giving you a HP for the complication with a now injured crew member.

Soreen and Laark continued on towards the rocks as instructed, although they slowed down somewhat, particularly as Laark was having trouble moving that fast. Studying the smoky remains of the creature, Starshot was not really able to tell much about it, in part because of the damage his last attack had caused. Clearly it had some means of operating without eyes, both out in the open and when under the sands, what those might be was not completely clear. As for its ability to move under the sand, as best as Starshot could tell, the wedge shape of its large head, together with its twelve legs somehow allowed it to force its way through the sand at a rapid rate. By the time Starshot was finished studying the creature, Soreen and Laark had reached the rocks, Laark collapsing down onto the hard surface as he gripped his hip in pain.

Sure, I think that a thrown car is more an area effect attack, so I will make a reflex save, which the thug misses. He gets a 20 for his toughness save, which is bruised and dazed, and there would be some knockback as well, 50 feet, but he only goes back about 15 before hitting a wall, which means a DC 20 toughness save for hitting a wall, which the thug makes. So, you hit him, hurt him and knock him into a wall, where he is dazed. (just need to know if it is fire or ice)

Orbit above Galor III The barrage of weapons fire from the Kavaca tore into the pirate capital ship, heavily damaging it and knocking out its primary systems. The vessel had been mid-turn as the attack had come, and while the maneuvering systems were not longer functioning, inertia kept the it turning and it started to roll uncontrollably. With that threat dealt with for the moment, Cavalier turned his attention to the last pirate spacecraft active in orbit, the remaining fast moving interceptor that was looping back around for an attack run. Unleashing a barrage of fire, the Star Knight blasted the interceptor's wing off, crippling the fighter and rendering it as inert as its home base was currently. "Sensors are not detecting any active hostiles in orbit Praetor Mater Vyrdna." Seresk responded. "Sri Steward has just disabled the last of the fighters that were launched against us." Surface of Galor III, Yollon City While Moon-Moth had cut into the numbers of the pirates on the surface, those remaining were not quite yet ready to surrender. Now more spread out and near buildings, several of the remaining pirates opened fire on the Praetorian. Two shots just missed Moon-Moth, but a third struck him squarely in the side. Up on the rock barrier the Praetorian had put in place, Shell turned to face the large pirate that had climbed up to attack her. A plasma blade extended from the power armor's weapons hand as the mercenary slashed at the pirate, slicing across the bulky pirates torso and causing it to cry in pain, as it tumbled back off the barrier and down on to pavement below.

Okay, that will disable to the last interceptor, which means that all the threats in space have been more or less neutralized. Of course, there are all the pirates aboard the capital ship, but remains to be seen if they are still willing to be belligerent. The pirates on the ground continue to fight for the moment, a number shooting at Moon-Moth 16, 9, 24 and 16, so one hit, DC 20 toughness save for him. Round Nine 28 Shell (bruised) 20 Moon-Moth (unharmed, 3 HP) 8 Tough pirates (4 on planet) 7 Mater Vyrdna (unharmed, 1 HP) 5 Cavalier (bruised 2, 2 HP) 5 Pirates (many on planet) Shell will attack the tough pirate that came at her, hitting with a 21. The pirate gets a 17 on its toughness save, so is bruised and dazed.

Sure, if that is how you want to make an entrance By my calculation, Dr. Warp could throw an average sized car about 250 feet, plenty of distance. Right now the Ice Thug or Fire Thug are the two most viable targets, as they are not in melee.

"Well, you and Fleur are the best choices for trying to pin him in or at least slow him down." Velocity replied into her communicator where she was zipping around out ahead of the path Shkhin was following, helping move children and others who were not so mobile out of the danger zone. The speedster had read the reports from the previous days, which showed just how dangerous theses "plagues" could be. But while they had some understanding of what was happening, the how, and the why were still not completely clear. "Then we let Psyche try to put him down? Or at least slow him down."

The thug wearing the ice gauntlets managed to dodge aside the smoke that Bonfire had sent to try to choke him out. The crook smirked at the smoky figure. "What? No more snappy comments?" He called out. "Let's see how you handle some cold!" With that he sent a blast of ice at the hero, which Bonfire was just barely able to avoid. With the police falling back to leave things to the two heroes, the crook with the fire gauntlets turned his attention to the opponents his companions were facing. With Eternal Dragon in melee with the lighting wielder, the fire thug did not want to risk hitting his friend. So instead he turned to Bonfire, sending a blast of flame into the air. Once again Bonfire was just able to avoid the attack.

Star Knight had seemed about to speak, but instead moved over to have a seat near Daedalus. "I guess some of you know each other already." She said quietly. Paradigm looked at Aquaria and Jessie, recognizing them both from the encounter at the Spectrum Knight's base of operations. The Naram's expression was friendly, not angry or otherwise aggressive as she gave a small nod to Aquaria's statement. "Yes, I was there, although the words you heard from me were not accurate. We later learned that the translation system the Spectrum Knights had in place was rather selective in its translations. Had I know you were Terran, I would have used English, and perhaps we could have avoided a lot of unpleasantness." She stated in accented English. "I am Amara Val-Ren, also known as Paradigm, current Imperatrix of the Praetorians." She stated before gesturing to Moon-Moth. "This is one of my fellow Praetorians, Myothizar A'lira, also known as Moon-Moth." Looking back at Jessie, Paradigm noted how on edge she appeared. "We would appreciate any information you might be able to provide us." She began. "Despite the capture of Bie Yie and several of the other leaders of the Spectrum Knights from the base the two of you were taken to, new Spectrum Knights have continued to appear throughout the quadrant. These newer Spectrum Knights might be less organized than before, but they are no less violent, causing as much death and destruction as they can before they can be stopped. We need to understand more about how individuals are selected for the organization. Perhaps you could begin with how you were contacted and transported to the Spectrum Knights?"

The IT representative, Greg Walker, smiled as Jason promised to remember him in the future, telling Jason to give him a call if he had any issues. But despite his plans to try to catch up on things once Greg had left, Jason quickly found he had little free time this first day. While the PR department was still busy with things, there was still meetings with people from HR and legal, who went over the various benefits and other records keep matters that were needed with any new hire, even the one that was the majority shareholder of the company. Legal in particular discussed some of the potential issues that could come up given his majority stake in the company. Just meeting with them took him well into mid-afternoon. When they were done, in addition to the pile of paperwork related to him, legal left him with a large stack of documents representing many of the key contracts the Future Endeavors division had in place that Jason needed to familiarize himself with, a task that could take some time.

GM "I would enjoy a chance to do so Moon-Moth." Star Knight replied to the Praetorian's comments about perhaps talking about less serious topics sometime in the future. "I have been meaning to get out to CoVic Station at some point, when I do, I will certainly stop by your headquarters there." "In any event, as the League member with the second most experience in intergalactic matyers, I will be sitting in on your interview." She continued, as she led the two Praetorians out of the teleporter room and down a hallway until they reached a conference room. Daedalus had just been about to respond to Aquaria's question when the door to the room began to open. "It would appear that they are here." He commented, as Star Knight led the two Praetorians into the room and closed the door behind them.

The plasma blast hit the creature squarely in the side of the neck, just behind its wedge shaped head. The blast burst through the thick, leathery hide, burning at the delicate organs inside. The creature did not even have time to roar in pain, instead merely gurgling some before it rolled over onto its opposite side, twitching slightly, but otherwise not moving. Laark and Soreen continued toward the rocky outcropping, the mid-morning sun really starting to heat up the air around them. Taking a moment to look at the area around them, Starshot did not see any sign of any more of the things in the immediate area.

It only gets a 11 on its toughness save, which would be another disabled, so it is dead! Out of combat.
