Paradigm listed to Elite as she explained her reasoning, which was as always logical. Then Corona arrived, apparently having come straight from a social engagement, and spoke up with her thoughts. With a slight inward sigh, Paradigm considered Corona's observations as well, although she wondered if they were not based on the same issues Elite had just discussed. One of the advantages the Praetorians had during the Incursion when they had worked to help bring together the different powers that were fighting the Communion was they had no allegiance to any of the existing powers and also lacked any of the historical prejudices that were present as well. Now she was wondering if they had not allowed themselves to become too influenced by some of those prejudices. "I understand the concerns Corona, but I would also note that during the Incursion Kinan Khan did not claim to be representing himself or the Khanate, he was a mouthpiece for the Communion. How voluntary that may have been, is still not completely clear." "For the moment, Ambassador Th'emme's proposed course of action would anticipate if there is some deception taking place, while also allowing for the possibility for attempting to reach improved diplomatic relations if that is indeed what they are here for." She then added, turning back to Elite. "If you are correct, how do you propose we attempt to provide the Khanate with a means of asking for help that would not cause them to lose face?"

Orbit above Galor III Even as the pirate ship continued to suffer heavy damage, it completed a turning maneuver, bringing one flank of batteries to bear on the Praetorian starship and Cavalier. But the four guns focused their attack on the Kavaca, unleashing a barrage of heavy laser fire. But the enhancements provide by Mater Vyrdna were more than up to the task, as she dodged and weaved, avoiding the incoming fire. Surface of Galor III, Yollon City Despite Moon-Moth cutting into their numbers, the pirates on the ground did not appear to be ready to surrender just yet. One of the large aliens climbed up onto the barricade Moon-Moth had collapsed in their path. The muscular alien then moved to attack Shell, swinging a meaty fist at the battlesuit, but end up missing as Shell stepped to one side. Another of the large aliens, standing near some of the other pirates Moon-Moth had blasted into unconsciousness lifted up another large rock. With a grunt, he heaved the makeshift projectile at the Praetorian, who only barely dodged aside.

Okay Rav, Corona is up. At the moment no one has any visual on where the yacht might be. I am probably going to get to a post for Paradigm here soon, as she is acting out away from the main action for the moment.

GM As several of the Praetorians converged on the governor's office, they found a four story building with large plexiglass windows along its walls. Gathered around the outside of the building were dozens of criminals of various races, all armed with blasters, and a number which were carrying portable anti-vehicle weapons. Cavalier and Mater Vyrdna acted quickly, taking two of the criminals carrying the heavy weapons down. As Moon-Moth and Corona appeared on the roof of the building, they found over a dozen armed criminals there as well, including two that were carrying the portable anti-vehicle weapons. Sullek made another long running leap, coming down to land near the gathered criminals now starting to engage the Praetorians present. "Stop them!" He shouted, pointing his sword as Cavlier and Mater Vyrdna.

While Paradigm waited for the channel to be opened to Galvanic, she turned to regard Mater Vyrdna as she rematerialized in the command chamber. Returning Mater's salute as Elite provided a brief explanation of the situation, Paradigm turned a moment to regard the image of the Khanate cruiser that was on a holoscreen toward the front of the room. When Elite turned back to her and asked her question, Paradigm looked over at her friend with an arched eyebrow. "Interesting, most everyone else suspects there is more to this than just a desire to engage in diplomacy." She stated, although she knew it was wise to consider Elite's suspicions in matters such as this. "What are you thinking?" She asked.

Round Three 25 Bonfire (unharmed, 1 HP) 22 Eternal Dragon (bruised, 1 HP) 21 Ice Thug (unharmed) 14 Fire Thug (unharmed) 10 Dr. Warp (Unharmed, 1 HP) 10 Lightning Thug (bruised 2) Bonfire is up again olopi!
-
The man wearing in the gauntlets with the ice powers appeared confused by Bonfire's comments, looking over at the smoke man as he tried to follow what was being said. "What?....we hadn't thought of that….but what would the boss say?" He got so wrapped up in considering the idea that he did not make any attacks. The ski-masked man with the fire gauntlets did not let himself get so distracted. "Aww shut your yap!" He shouted as he sent a fire blast at Bonfire, which the smoky figure easily avoided. The Lightning wielder took a half step back from Eternal Dragon after getting briefly distracted. He smirked and fired another lighting blast at the martial artist, who easily dodged aside.

Okay, the Ice thug is dazed and cannot attack. The fire thug will shoot at Bonfire, missing with a 9. The lightning thug will attack Eternal Dragon, missing with a 13. Okay Cape, make an initiative roll for Dr. Warp to see where he fits into the initiative order for the next round!

"I certainly would not want to do anything that might hamper any of your diplomatic efforts, or those of any of the other former Coalition governments, when it can be avoided. Although as you point out, it remains to be seen whether this is truly an attempt to establish diplomatic relations." Paradigm replied. "While Seresk is not currently on the station, I believe I can arrange an escort for Ambassador Raal that will convey the appropriate show of strength." She then nodded at the ambassador’s suggestion of letting things play out some. "I will make the arrangements for the escort and leave the official grant of the audience to you ambassador." After getting off the channel with the ambassador, Paradigm focused back on the Praetorian at the communications station. "Call Mater Vyrdna up here. The put me through to Galvanic. She is currently on CoVic Station."

Brave Enough to Burn [IC] (Open to FL Auxiliary Members)
Thevshi replied to alderwitch's topic in Americas
Velocity followed the others through the portal off into Sanctuary. For the moment, the speedster slowed herself down to a more normal speed. She frowned slightly as Frost commented on how long the young woman had likely been…well, whatever had happened to her. Some sort of suspended animation most likely. "Well, we are still not entirely sure what happened to you just yet." Velocity replied to the other woman's question. "For the moment you have returned to normal, but that does not mean that whatever was happening is done. Gaining unusual abilities suddenly can be a shock, just try to remain calm if something starts to happen again, otherwise your abilities could get out of control once more."- 48 replies

"I do not know who, or why, but clearly someone has somehow turned the water in the park to blood. But we will find them and find out why." Tsunami replied. "Now how old is your son and what does he look like?" She asked. Once the man had provided the description, Tsunami gestured toward the lamppost the man had indicated had been their meeting point. "I will go look for him. Please remain hear in case he comes looking for you. Once I find him, I will bring him back here." With that, the water controller started off on her water spout, looking for the lost boy.

Paradigm listened quietly to Star Knight provide information about Aquaria and Jessie, as the three continued through the Lighthouse toward the teleportation pads. The fact that the two had previous criminal records was not something she would hold against them, as it appeared the two had been rehabilitated from that behavior. While Paradigm had not met Wander during the Incursion, her position on the Coalition Counsel meant that she had read reports about the Terran woman. Wander had been impressive in all the actions she had participated in, in particular the assault on Garron-9, which had provided the opening for another group to disable the Communion mothership and end the Incursion. Like so many other worlds, Terra had made its contribution in the fight against the Communion. While the fleet that had attacked Terra had been rather small, it had accompanied the Communion’s wormhole weapon, which the Terra suerpowered individuals had been able to delay, and eventually destroy. It was impossible to know for certain how many worlds had been spared the fate of Lor-Van and others as a result of the Terran's keeping the wormhole weapon stuck at the edge of their solar system for months. Focusing back on the present as they entered the teleportation chamber, Paradigm nodded slightly as she walked up onto the pad. Once Moon-Moth and Star Knight had joined them, there was a loud humming and then a flash of light. Then the three were in a similar chamber, but slightly different chamber, down on the surface of Terra.

Okay, need Notice checks for everyone, and Stealth checks (assuming you are going to try to be stealthy)

Bliss' attempts to try to pick up any sign of the crashed fighter by scent proved fruitless. After going back over the pursuit by the fighters, Ruby had a general idea of the direction that the other fighters had gone down. She also estimated it might be a couple of miles before they reached the first crash site. Hopefully the first one would prove more useful than the one down in the canyon. With a general direction to go on, Seika started off, leading the small group as they made their way through the dim forest. Her sharp eyes glancing about to look for any sign of danger.

Starshot's aim was perfect, but the large creature somehow twisted free just as the plasma net was trying to wrap around it. Laark tried to pull himself back up, but was still to disoriented from the attack to get himself up off the sand where he had landed. "Laark!" Soreen called out, as she leveled her blaster pistol and fired. But she rushed her shoot a bit too much, and the blast flew harmlessly over the creature. The creature shuffled over toward Laark on its short little legs, trying to grab onto him again with its large maw. But Laark was aware enough to roll out of the way and barely avoid being bitten again.
-
That does hit, but the Sand Shark gets a 21 for its Reflex save, so avoids the net. Round Two 21 Soreen (unharmed) 20 Sand Shark (unharmed) 14 Starshot (unharmed, 1 HP) 9 Laark (staggered, disabled, dazed) Soreen tries to shot it, but misses with a 10. The sand shark will try to grapple Laark in its maw, but misses with a 13. Starshot is up!

Ex, Moon-Moth is up! Time to teleport him and Corona to where Cav and Mater are starting to engage some of the escaped criminals outside the governor's offices.
-
Sadly GO, even with the distraction, that will miss. Go ahead and post in the IC for that. I am going to finish up this round then Supercape will be joining in with his new PC Dr. Warp.
-
Ari, I don't think "Praetorian Communicators" is narrow enough for a super-sense comm link. Also, you don't seem to be meeting your Def/Toughness PL caps?
-
Okay, go ahead and take one out as well.
-
These guys are minions TT, so that just hits, and I will just say it takes him down.
-
Well, it is more like an office building than a mansion. But anyway, so Cav zooms up there, and finds dozens of other freedom criminals from the Sar-lan (nonpowered ones) gathered outside armed with various weapons (including a number with heavy anti-vehicle weapons).
