  1. Giang Trang sat along the bank of the Centery Narrows, the young Asian woman finally starting to feel fully rested once more. Giang was dressed in the costume she wore as Tsunami, a fully body suit of morphic molecules that was colored several different shades of blue that all seemed to seemed almost to flow and shimmer like water. A small dark blue domino mask completed the costume, although it was not uncommon for Giang to not even wear it. Today the Asian young woman had been trying something new with her powers. Just over an hour ago, Giang had been in the Pacific Ocean near San Diego, California. She had managed to open a portal from that body of water, over to the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Freedom City. Of course she had been rather tired after accomplishing that feat, but she had been able to easily make her way into the Narrows and come ashore to rest awhile until she felt up to trying the return trip.
  2. "Issues?" Stone replied to Jason's question. "No major issues that I can think of." He replied before pausing for a moment. "Although, I will say that while Dr. Parsons is a genius, and has been a competent head of the division for the past four years, he did not take the fact you would be replacing him, even if temporarily, all that well." The older man gave Jason a small smile. "He has not resigned, so hopefully he has realized that it is something he can live with for the short term. But, you might want to be ready for some push back from him for awhile. I would recommend listening to what he has to say and take it into consideration in making decisions, but don't feel like you have to always follow what he says." "So, ready to head on over?"
  3. With that critical hit, I will say it blows up with ease!
  4. Okay, sorry this has taken so long olopi! So the fluff all looks good, the only real issues I see are with some of the crunch in the powers: Immunity 6: What is this? 1 point for Heat environment immunity plus 5 point immunity to fire damage? If so, need to specify that. Also, how is it limited? Half-effect? For two of your forms, there are some issues: The fire form (Insubstantial 3): With it taking a full round action to activate and one-way transformation (I assume only taking a few hours to return to normal? ie -3 drawback) that is -5 in drawbacks, so you do not need Tiring (which is a flaw anyway, and would make this a very hard form to use). For the second Insubstantial 2, changing its action to Reaction will not really help you. While the power might become Reaction, you can still only change the an array as a free action, on your turn, so you gain no benefit. Also, having that extra plus two feats means the power would cost 17 pp, not 14. For the Illusion alt power in the attack array, you have not priced it correctly. A visual sense illusion is counted as 2 sense types (so 2 pp per rank), changing the action from standard to free is a +2 extra, so the total cost is 4 pp per rank. So, you either need to lower the ranks, or make it a move action. For the Concealment power, as you have extra points, you might want to consider adding the Area extra (to go with the Affects Others) and add the Selective power feat (that way you can conceal multiple people in an area). Might also want some Progression to increase the size of the area. For the Element Control (fire), precise is a feat, not an extra. For the last alt power (Environment Control plus Obscure), one note, you do not have to link the powers to have them in the same alt slot. By not linking them, you have the choice of using both, or either one or the other, instead of always having to use both. Just a thought.
  5. Archived at player request.
  6. Nope, as I mentioned in my last IC post, she can already tell by the size of the wreckage that she will not be able to find the parts they need in any usable condition.
  7. GM Traveller's ball of energy managed to catch the two police drones that fired on Seresk and the Lor official, blasting them both from the sky. As the twisted hulks of the two drones crashed to the ground, Seresk stood his ground, putting himself between the Lor official and the last police drone still in the immediate area, but too high up for the large Praetorian to get to. A few hundred feet away, the super criminals continued their retreat away from the landing area. While Rux and Sullek focused on just moving further away, Amikai took a moment to turn and fire another blast of lightning at Dragonid. The lightning bolt struck the reptilian Praetorian, but once again his scaly hide withstood the attack with minimal effect. Amikai then turned and flew off after his two retreating companions.
  8. That is good enough to track (under the current conditions).
  9. Amara was slightly surprised as the face of an Akarnean woman appeared amongst the code displayed on the monitor, speaking in Delaztri and appearing to panic about not being able to feel her legs or body. The Naram wondered as the image asked in anyone could hear her, including reference to a captain. "I am Amara Val-Ren, also known as Paradigm, of the Praetorians." She replied in Delaztri. "We are doing everything we can to try to help you. You are within the operating system of the Delaztri starship Devotion. Do you know how you ended up here?"
  10. That catches two drones, both missing their reflex saves, and their toughness saves, so they are destroyed. Seresk cannot get to the last police drone, so he will continue guarding the Lor government official. Rux and Sullek continue their retreat, as does Amikai, who will take a shot at Dargonid first, hitting with a 23. Dragonid once again makes his toughness save with no ill effect. Nothing else exciting is going on on the ground, so Corna is up!
  11. And reactivated.
  12. Sure, that sounds good.
  13. "Well, let us hope that excitement is not easily extinguished." Stone replied with a small grin as he waived for Jason to follow him and headed for his office. "Gail, I will be meeting with Jason for bit, then taking him over to Future Endeavors for the next hour or so." He stated to his secretary as he led Jason into his office. Stone's office was a large room, with a wide desk set near the windows that looked out over the same view of the Freedom City skyline as the waiting area outside. Off to one side in the room was a small area with several leather chairs gathered around a coffee table. It was to one of those chairs that Stone gestured Jason, while he walked over to set his briefcase down on his desk. Making his way back over, he took a seat across from Jason as he gave the younger man a smile. "Well, today is going to be a busy day, although I cannot say you will actually get much in the way of work done just yet. We will start things off with introductions to your direct reports, which will include Dr. Walter Parsons, who was head of Future Endeavors, and will be your senior VP while you are running the division. I have had them all working on summaries of current projects and deals, so you will likely have some homework tonight." "After that, we will make a quick tour of the rest of the division, allow you to meet some of the other people that will be working for you and get familiar with the building. Then I am afraid the rest of your day will be take up with meetings with IT, HR, PR and legal to get you up to speed and ready to really get to work."

Jennifer did not have to wait very long, as once Megan had dropped off her coat at the entrance, she and Robert quickly began making their way through the small crowd that was gathered in the front of the main hall. Spotting Jennifer across the crowd, Megan steered Robert in that direction, the pair only being slightly slowed down by greetings to some of the other guests they passed on their way. As they drew near, a broad smile came to Megan's face as she greeted her friend. "Hey Jen! How have you been?" Robert gave the other woman a warm smile as well. "Good to see you again Jennifer."

GM While Jason and Amir talked, a new figure came up near them. "Jason has barely returned to Freedom City and already you are trying to poach him Amir?" The newcomer commented, a small smile on his face. Silver Stone was in his early 60's, slightly shorter than average and with a full head of grey hair. Like many of the others men attending the Society's event, Stone was dressed in an expensive black suit. The current CEO of Draco Enterprises then focused on Jason, giving the young man a warm smile. "Jason, it is good to see you out and about." Stone then turned to Amir. "Amir, good to see you as well, I believe last we saw one another was the last Board of Trustees meeting for the Hunter Museum."
  16. Vahn, Ex, while we wait for Tiff to get a post up, you two can go ahead with your posts.
  17. So, math time: Search is a full round action. Searching a 350 mile radius area is 7 steps up the Extended Range table (falls between rank 7: 200 miles and rank 8: 2,000 miles, so we will go with rank 8). So 7 steps up the time progression table is 1 month to search that area. Taking 20 on the Search means 20 months to search the area! So, 1 hour = 600 rounds; 1 month is about 720 hours (24x30) = 432,000 rounds. 20 months = 8,640,000 rounds. Velocity's max Quickness is x500,000. So, she can Take 20 and search the area Tess wants searched in less than 17 rounds. Given the area calculated is more than five times the area Tess wants searched, she can probably make the search in about 4 rounds!
  18. "I am afraid that the Pegasus is strictly a transport, no laboratory facilities or the like aboard." Velocity replied to Tristan's question, but luckily the Atoms had brought along equipment for just such analysis. When Tess asked the speedster to take a look at the area around the clearing out several hundred miles in each direction, Velocity smiled slightly. "350 miles? Shouldn't be a problem. I'll be sure to take my time." Unless Tess had something else to add, the yellow clad speedster was then off in a barely visible blur. The amount of area Tess wanted her to cover meant she could fully cut loose with her speed.
  19. APPROVED
  20. Okay, some comments for you olopi: Over all stats are fine, maybe a bit on the low side, but not anything that would not be approved. Combat: A small issue here. While your total attack bonus meets our house rules (1/3 being BAB), for many of your attack powers, you are falling below PL caps on your attack/damage (ex: Fireball has +6 attack/+12 dam, meaning you only hit PL9 caps). You should really try to hit your caps as much as possible. Saves: Rather on the low side for a PL 10 character, this could be a big problem in play. Skills: No issue, but you might be putting a few more points than you can afford at this point, might want to consider some refocusing of this. (not necessary though) Feats: No real issues here. The Attack Specialization should be for your array though, so it helps with all the attack powers there. You need to identify a sense that Uncanny Dodge works off of. One question I have, this guy does not seem a particularly agile type, how do you see Evasion 2 fitting with that guy? (Evasion 2 is generally seen on characters that are really good a dodging, like Spiderman or speedsters). For the equipment, we do not require players to buy things like a camera and cellphone under our house rules (seeing as these are just normal versions). You might want to consider if you really need to other equipment and find a better use for these points. Powers: So, a few things here. Absorption: You need to identify what the absorption does, does it heal you? Or does it boost something else? If the later, you need to identify what it boosts, which could cause problems with PL caps if it pushes you past them. The other problem with this power, is it will mess up your defensive PL caps vs fire, as the 6 ranks of absorption is considered part of your toughness. Trying to fix this problem is not easily done. Personally, I would just drop this power and use the points for something else. For your Insubstantial forms, the cost is a bit off. For the smoke form, with only a drawback, it is 9 pp for Insubstantial 2, not 8. Similarly, for the fire form, with the flaw and drawback, it would be 10 pp, not 9. Also on the fire form, I am not sure that flaw truly qualifies as one. Also, I would be a bit leery of having the flaw on your linked flight power, but that is just me. For your array: The Damage 14, is this a general burst area (ie Reflex save to avoid) or a targeted burst area (ie requiring an attack roll to hit)? If it is the first, then it violates PL caps, as it cannot be higher than 10 ranks. For the Concealment power, you have it set up wrong. 10 ranks of Concealment is the most concealment anyone can have, and is concealment from every sense type except tactile (which is what Insubstantial is for). So, you can only have 10 ranks total. If you only want concealment from all visual senses, that takes only 4 ranks of Concealment. Also, Progression is a feat, not an extra, and you need to identify what it does (I would assume allows you to conceal more than one other person?) So you likely do not need the flaws on this, and may want to consider the area extra.
  21. Oof, and I totally spaced that Traveller was up after Paradigm Go ahead with your action Tiff!
  22. "As long as the asteroids are not too densely spaced, we should be alright to enter." Magnetar replied as he guided the Kavaca forward, moving quickly toward the edge of the asteroid field, but slowing down some as he drew closer, waiting for Elite to provide any necessary course changes to keep after the energy trail. "I believe the worlds where the Spectrum Knights have attacked would view them as more than just an annoyance Mater Vyrdna." He then replied to the technomorph. "With power comparable to a Star Knight, it is a good thing they are far fewer, and far less organized."
  23. Also, Rose, go ahead and give me a Notice check for Elite using the sensors to track the energy signature.
  24. GM On the surface of Dreeda III "Understood Imperatrix." Dragonid replied, as his mechanical wings carried him forward after the fleeing villains. While not the fastest flier among the Praetorians, Dragonid was fast enough to catch up with the retreating villains, Sullek's leaping distance, and Sai'x's injury having slowed down their initial retreat. Not wanting to make things easy on them, the reptilian Praetorian opened his mouth and sent another jet of flame after Sai'x. This time the blast was on the mark, striking the dark skinned humanoid squarely as she let out a brief cry of pain before spinning out of control as she lost consciousness and crashed not a rooftop of a nearly building. Magnetar led the Lor crewmembers over to the Devotion's ramp and out onto the landing field. But the Praetorian quickly realized this was not exactly the safest place either, with the automated police drones firing at his fellow Praetorians. Directing the Lor to a nearby shelter for safety, he flew up into the air, his forcefield glowing brightly in the hopes of attracting any fire from the police drones. He moved over near Traveller. "What is the situation?" He asked. "We were able to locate most of the Sar-lan's crew and bring them down, but there may be others that were kept in another part of the ship." Inside the cockpit of the Devotion, Huhunu began the preflight procedures, getting ready to get the large ship airborne. The police drones continued firing at any available targets, the one that had shot a Paradigm previously not turning toward Corona as it opened fire. The Lor officer easily dodged the attack, as did Traveller. Seresk sidestepped the blast aimed at him, as he moved in front of the one aimed at the Lor official, the beam of energy dissipating harmlessly over the Praetorians tough scales. Over where Dragoind was in pursuit of the fleeing supercriminals, two of the drones moved to intercept him, both firing at the Praetorian. While Dragonid was able to dodge the first attack, the second managed to clip him, but failed to cause him any serious harm.
