That is a hit, it gets a 16 on its toughness save, which I will say makes it spin out of control and crash on the top of one of the plateaus.

I think Teleport 9 will be enough. Go ahead with the IC post.

With Seresk managing to at least temporarily subdue the creature, Paradigm realized she had a chance to quickly bring this to an end so they could continue looking for the fugitive criminals. Pulling her right hand back as she dropped down by the creature’s massive head, Paradigm swung with all her considerable strength, delivering a powerful blow that generated a small shockwave that kicked up small rocks and dust around them. *WHAM* The creature let out a small wail at the blow, but then dropped into unconsciousness, rolling over onto its side to lay still, its chest moving up and down in a steady rhythm. The expression on Paradigm's face made it clear that she took no pleasure in having to harm the creature, giving it a slightly sympathetic look before turning back toward the others. "If they did not already know we were here, they likely do now. We cannot delay any further if we hope to catch them before they try to slip away once more."

GM Despite Magnetar's magnetic blast and Queenie's attack, the creature focused its attention on Seresk, as the large Praetorian had managed to hit it already. Lunging forward, it opened its massive maw to try to snatch up its target. But it ended up snapping at empty air, as the reptilian Praetorian managed to side step the attack. Seresk did not give the creature a chance to recover from its missed attack, as he stepped back in close, reaching up with to wrap his thick arms around the creature's neck. The creature tried to pull its head free from the Praetorian's grasp, but Seresk was able to not only maintain his grip on the creature, but pull it over and slam it onto the rocky ground.

Okay, the creature is going to attack Seresk, as he managed to hit it. It misses by a mile with a 9. Seresk will attempt to grapple it, hitting with a 24. He gets a 48 on his grapple check. The creature gets a 34, which means it is pinned, bound and helpless. He will apply his strength for damage, it gets a 23 so picks up a bruise. As it is helpless, Paradigm will deliver a coup-de-grace, which automatically hits and is a critical hit. The creature gets a 30 on its toughness save vs DC 37, so is dazed and bruised again. It still must make a fort save (DC 27) to avoid being knocked out, and it only gets a 17. So, it is down.

Velocity watched as the strange reporter started to make his way off the platform and back up toward street level. She was just about to follow him when she spotted the police making their way over toward her. The speedster gave a silent sigh, as she waited for the FCPD so she could give a quick statement and see if they happened to have any additional information. Then she would see about trying to catch back up with the unusual reporter Not for the first time she regretted how slow everyone else could so often be as she waited for the police.

"Well, I am sure that we will soon be falling into a more normal routine aboard the Bee, so we can probably find time to talk some about the null time." Velocity replied, even as she started wondering how she could talk about her trips there without reveling too much about what to her, Robert and their son there. But then Daphne came by, and the speedster turned and gave a stunning smile as the reporter took a picture, having long become accustomed to the press. "Sure that would be great." She replied to Daphne's question, and then followed after Tristan as he headed back toward the Atoms, no longer needing to be off making sure he did not wander into the jungle alone.

So, still hoping to pickup some more members for the Praetorians. Given the concept of the team, there is always room for more, and I have plans for a number of threads for the team....

Amara took the offered cup of hot tea when Tatiana brought them over, thanking the other woman and then taking a sip as she listened to the advice from both Tatiana and Sitara. The Naram could not help but smile behind her cup. Both women possessed considerable experience which she found invaluable, but also came at things with very different outlooks. But their different viewpoints were equally as valuable as their experience, even if not always easy to harmonize. Looking back at the section of the star map that contained the Khanate worlds, Amara considered both her friends' suggestions. During the Incursion and since, the Naram had found herself involved in a number of diplomatic negotiations. She now had a better understanding of some of the things her bother had once confided in her in the years after she had joined him in the Praetorians. It had been so much simpler to be merely one of the ones out there keeping the peace and protecting the Empire. Now she had to do all that and more. "Well, the situation with many of the former Khanate states is simplified some by the fact that several have embassies here on the station and have already been building diplomatic ties with the Republic, Unity and other former Coalition governments. Focusing on those worlds at least gives some semblance of a continuation of the Coalition." "As for the border worlds," she continued, glancing toward some those systems, "perhaps if we have Cavalier coordinate with the Citadel for our patrols to closely follow or proceed Star Knight patrols. That could at least give the appearance of a stronger presence in the area by both our organizations that could deter some of the warlords that are looking for weak areas into which to expand."

Tsunami would fit with Water to Blood of course. As for Synapse, if there is going to be a threat for Vanguard, she would be there. (could be in one with Foreshadow regardless) Velocity would be in one with the Freedom League if there is one.

Velocity remained near Tristan as the scientist continued to examine the terrain, able to keep an eye on the area around them with easy. At his compliment about having a scientific philosophy, she smiled slightly. "Well, you spend enough time around science folks and it tends to rub off some." She replied. "Seen it all?" She then replied to his other questions. "No, not quite yet. This is my first trip to the Infraverse, but I have had some experience with other dimensions. Including a visit to a null time that is outside the time stream." "How about yourself doctor? Is your specialty in dimensional mechanics?"

Megan Howell watched the lights of Midtown pass by outside the window as the black Bentley she was riding in made its way toward the Midnight Society mansion. The young blonde woman was wearing a long, sleeveless black dress, over which she had a long black coat for the late winter cold that still hung over the city. While attending an event at the Society was often something Megan looked forward to, tonight she had a number of things that were distracting her. "Are you certain that you and Lawrence will be alright while I am gone." She asked as she turned away from the view outside and looked over at the man driving the Bentley. The man was a couple of years older than Megan, with similar blond hair and handsome features. Lord Robert Harrow glanced over a moment with a small smile. "We will be perfectly fine." He replied in his distinguished British accent. "Lawrence will be plenty busy with school, and I have no engagements next month." "But I am going to be gone a month." Megan responded. Robert simply gave her another smile. "I think we can survive a month without you. Your mother is around to help if I need it. So everything will be just fine." He then turned and looked at her a brief moment before focusing back on the road. "I will say I am a bit jealous. It is not often that one gets an opportunity to travel to another dimension." Megan smirked slightly. "Says someone that spent over six years in a null time." "And it was six years with you, and Lawrence, which made it all the better." Robert added as he pulled the luxury car into the driveway to the Society mansion.

GM A small smile came to Vanderhoff's face at Jason's next question. "Well, the answer depends a great deal on what you are seeking to accomplish tonight." He replied at first. He then added, "I would not be so quick to discount those that knew your parents. As I stated, your parents were very well respected, and I am sure many of their friends and acquaintances would be happy to provide guidance and advice to their son. But, if I may make a suggestion. There will be plenty of other times for you to pursue your ambitions for Draco Enterprises. Tonight, try to focus on reconnect with those that may have once known you." "You grew up in North Bay and attended North Bay Academy correct? A fair number of your peers are likely to be here tonight."

"This is not really so bad." Dee replied almost absentmindedly, veering the sports car around a slower moving car. "You know how bad downtown London can get." She added, again taking a deep breath as she spotted their destination up ahead. Amid the other buildings that lined the streets, a larger section ahead on their left was instead dominated by a tall hedge that ran along the sidewalk. Two gates allowed passage through the hedge to whatever lay beyond, one smaller for foot traffic, the other larger, straddling a driveway. It was the later that Dee guided the Aston Martin, pulling up next to an intercom as cameras looked down on the vehicle from atop the gate, rolling down her window as she did so. "May I help you dear?" Came a female voice from over the intercom. Dee removed her sunglasses as she looked at the screen, focused on the fiber optic camera that was built in just above it. "Lady Dawn Farrington." She replied simply, her tone as neutral as Erick had ever heard it when using her title and full name. "Of course Lady Farrington, just a moment as I queue the gate." Replied the voice on the other side as Dee put her sunglasses back on and the gate began to slide open.

For a moment the alien showed a slight hesitation at the threat of Bliss' tendrils, but then snarled at her as it replied. "I would believe that would be obvious, even for one as simple as you." It replied in its accented GalStandard. "This planet and system are our targets." "As for any other details, I refuse to reveal any such sensitive data." It then added, taking a slightly defiant stance. "Any harm you inflict on me will be repaid in kind. And the longer you stay here, the greater a chance that a recovery team will arrive looking for me."

GM "I know Silver well." Vanderhoff replied. "I was just speaking with him a short while ago. Last I saw he was upstairs. He spoke a bit about the plans for preparing you to assume the role of CEO." At Jason's question about the Midnight Society, the older man gave a small nod. "A fair question. At the most basic level, we are a private social club. But I firmly believe that we offer so much more. Our members are some of the wealthiest, most influential individuals in Freedom City, and beyond." Vanderhoff turned slightly to look out at the crowd of guests gathered near the two. "Among our members you will find potential business partners, financing opportunities, politicians, attorneys, accountants, and even competitors. We provide a neutral setting for you to meet and network, after all, today's competitor could be tomorrow's joint venture partner." Vanderhoff turned back toward Jason as he continued. "But beyond our social and networking opportunities, the Society supports numerous local and national philanthropies."

Paradigm tracked Amikai's movement into the air for a moment before glancing across the landing area toward where the speeding form of Varlis was running around the perimeter. "Traveller, continue to help Dragonid with the airborne opponents." She called up to the other Praetorian. "I am going to try to deal with some of the hit-and-run types." With that, the Naram started flying after Varlis, streaking across the landing pad with a gust of wind in her wake. As she drew near the reptilian speedster, Varlis turned his head to see her rapid approach. He started to try to dodge, but Paradigm was on him too quickly, swinging her right fist in a powerful uppercut which caught the criminal under the chin with a loud *WHAM* that sent a small shockwave out around the pair. Varlis was knocked unconscious and sent flying up into the air from the powerful blow, arching out over the city and soon disappearing from most of the other's line of sight. Paradigm frowned slightly, not having meant to hit him quite so hard, realizing she was going to have to go catch him.

Paradigm will fly over to attack Varlis, but misses with a 13. I will use a hero point for a reroll, which is a 30, which is a critical hit! So that is a DC 36 toughness save, Varlis getting a 14, so he goes down. Traveller is up Tiff! And Ex, still need an action for Moon-Moth! (Cav cleared a path to the Lor captives)

Well, Rux is about 400 feet away, so you will likely have to shout a bit even once you move a bit closer. She resists your intimidate attempt with a 29 on her Sense Motive check.

GM "Only in passing, although it was quite a few years ago. Before your trip to the Himalayas with your parents." Mr. Vanderhoff replied. "Please accept my deepest condolences. Your parents were well respected members of our organization and the Freedom City community at large." "I was very pleased to hear of your plans to return to Freedom City and take the first steps toward taking full control of your family's company. Given your family's long history with the Society, the Board of Trustees felt it only natural to extend an invitation to tonight's event. As you begin to reestablish your roots, we hope you will consider continuing your family's membership with the Society."

GM Jason did not have to look too far to find some food, as one of the first rooms of the main hall was filled with long tables set with all manner of hor d’oeuvres. Looking about as he began eating, Jason saw a few faces in the crowd around him that looked at least slightly familiar, although they all seemed to be of his parents' generation. While he was scanning the nearby crowd, Jason saw a man in his mid to late 50s enter the room and look about a moment before fixing his gaze on Jason. The man started over to where Jason was standing, nodding politely to several people as he went by an excusing himself as he continued toward Jason. The man had greying dark brown hair and was dressed in a finely tailored tuxedo (as were many of the other men in the room). As he drew near, a small smile came to his face. "Jason Draco, please allow me to introduce myself, I am Fredrick Vanderhoff, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Society." He stated, extending his hand to the young man.

Just outside London Monday March 7, 2016 10:13 AM Gray clouds hung in the sky, typical of this time of year for England. Dee Farrington was paying little mind to the clouds as she guided her Aston Martin down the busy streets, instead more focused on her destination and why she was going there. With her in the sports car was Erick Sloane, who, as Foreshadow, was her teammate on Vanguard. The two had been involved for close to two years now, starting slightly after they had met during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. From the moment they had met, there had been few secrets between them, in part due to Dee's telepathic abilities. Having learned each other's identities from the start had allowed them both to be more open than either had been in any prior relationships. But that still did not mean that there were not parts of Dee's life that she had kept from Erick. But now she had decided it was time to change that in regard to one of the things that meant the most to her in her life. It was something she had been thinking about for some time, and finally on Valentine's Day she had decided it was time. But a part of her still felt nervous and uncertain. She would be opening up a part of herself to Erick that she did not share with anyone.

GM "Of course sir." The valet stated with a nod as he pocketed the money and took the keys before climbing into the car to take it to the nearby parking structure the Society had spaces reserved. As he faced the old stone building, Jason could hear the sounds of conversation and laughter from within. Although it was already well past dark, the lights around the circular driveway allowed Jason some details of the well maintained lawn and hedges around it, with a number of larger trees that rose up above the wall. To the rights of the main entrance Jason could make out the entry to the mansion's gardens, which stretched around the building to continue on behind it. The doorman asked for Jason's invitation, glancing at it a moment before handing it back. "Thank you Mr. Draco. Enjoy your evening." He stated before allowing Jason into the mansion. Inside, Jason found himself in the mansion's main hallway, filled with dozens of well-dressed men and women, a large central staircase led up to the upper levels. The voices of many others could be heard from the open doorways to the various rooms off the main hallway. Seeing as Society events tended to draw many of Freedom City's richest and most influential individuals, it was very likely that Stone was some within the building.

Midtown, Freedom City, New Jersey Tuesday February 23, 2016 7:15 PM The lights of Midtown seemed almost to blur past as Jason Draco drove through the busy streets near Liberty Park. Although it was late evening, there was still plenty of traffic in this part of the city, and at least some of it was on account of the event to which Jason was making his way. Up ahead, just across 52nd Avenue from Liberty Park stood the mansion of the Midnight Society, an old stone building with several towers and peaked roofs. The massive building was set back from the street, its large grounds separated from the sidewalk by stone walls. A wide iron gate provided a path through the section of stone wall along 52nd Avenue and into the circular driveway which led to the front of the mansion. As Jason drove through, he joined a small line of cars which were delivering their passengers to the event being hosted by the Society this evening. Several uniformed valets could be seen moving about, opening doors for those inside the stopped cars ahead. Jason had of course been to many events here while he was growing up, his parents having been members of the Midnight Society. But this would be the first real time he had attended an event on his own, the invitation having been sent directly to him.
