GM Aboard the Sar-lan Although Cavalier had destroyed one of the robotic sentries, the others that were near where he and Moon-Moth currently were ignored the Star Knight and continue firing their built in energy weapons at the interior of the prison transport. Similar blaster fire continued to echo from the corridors around them. Over where Mater Vyrdna and Magnetar were at the airlock, several of the sentry robots had moved into view, but were also not targeting the pair, instead blasting and the walls of the ship. Magnetar took a step in front of Vyrdna, bringing his hands up in front of him and sending a wide blast of magnetic energy toward three of the sentries. The powerful blast slammed into the trio, tearing them apart and sending the debris flying further down the corridor.

The sentry robots inside the Sar-lan continue firing at random, causing more internal damage. Magnetar moves over from the airlock and fires a cone area magnetic blast at several sentry robots that have moved near him and Mater, taking ten to hit them. The robots save vs DC 27: 22, 26 and 23. Good, but not good enough. I will be including the stuff in space in the regular initiative order now. Taveller is up Tiff!

Paradigm was slightly surprised with the ease that Adiri shrugged off her attack, but not so surprised that she was unable to avoid the Geox's attempt to grapple her. Pushing the villain's hands away, the Naram drifted backward slightly. "You are strong, and very resilient." She stated, before moving back close and grabbing ahold of Adiri. The supercriminal tried to struggle free, but as strong as Adiri was, Paradigm was stronger. Pinning the other woman's arms to her side, Paradigm continued, "in fact, given your resilience, I suspect that you can easily handle this." The Praetorian then flew upward a short distance, swinging Adiri upward as she went and then releasing the Geox at the height of the swing. Although Adiri's rocky form was much heavier than most humanoids, it was barely anything for Paradigm, who chose not to put all her strength into the throw. Regardless, Adiri went flying into the air at incredible speed, reaching a thousand feet up in moments. With that enemy removed from the battle for the time being, Paradigm turned her attention toward the other criminals engaging her teammates...

POWER OVERWHELM'D BY HGM Paradigm Paradigm has 19 pp to spend, so going to bring her up to PL 14 caps. 1) Add 1 rank to her Power Reserve. [2 pp] 2) +2 BAB [2 pp] 3) +2 BDB [2 pp] 4) +2 Con [2 pp] 5) Picking up Interpose and Takedown Attack [2 pp] 6) +1 Impervious Toughness [1 pp] 7) Wisdom +2 [2 pp] 8) Spending 2 pp on Skills (+4 Sense Motive, +2 Diplomacy, +2 Kn: Galactic Lore) [2 pp] 9) Increasing Super Strength by 2 ranks [4 pp] Also made some small fluff corrections and fixed an error in her powers. I had listed Immunity Disease as a half effect immunity, but Life Support already has immunity Disease, so, replacing the half effect one with immunity Sleep. Also listed out what all is part of Life Support.

Okay, while I wait for Rav to make an IC post, Paradigm will try to grab Adiri to initiate a grapple. She hits with a 28, and gets a 43 on her grapple check. Adiri gets a 37, so she is grappled. Paradigm will use her move action to throw Adiri into the air. She has enough strength/superstrength to throw Adiri 5,000 feet up (she actually has enough to throw her 250,000 feet up! but is not going to use all that). Because of the distance involved, I will say this is similar to Leaping, so it will take Adiri a total of 5 rounds to reach the full 5,000 feet, and I will call it 3 more rounds to fall back down.
-
Velocity's sense motive 14, just a bit too low.
-
Rav, that will unfortunately miss. He was 400' away, even moving 100' closer with flight, that is still three range increments away, so -4 on the attack due to the range.
-
Vahn, I will say you locate the ground group easily. While you can relay the message to all of them, Traveller and Corona are the only two with comm systems that might allow them to reply. Go ahead and add your message to your IC post.

Fade pulled Salnikov with her as she managed to dodge the attack from Dagger. The teleporting mercenary twisted back toward him and sent a number of small throwing knives flying in return. However, her aim was even worse off than Dagger's had been, something she attributed from being still a bit shook up after being in a limo hit by a rocket launcher. But she did not let that failure distract her from her primary goal, as she and Salnikov vanished once again in a flash of light. Widowmaker took aim at one of the gunmen on the building that had shot at him and fired his combat shotgun. Once again the mercenary's aim was accurate, as a solid slug caught the man in the side and he fell backward with a cry of pain, collapsing in a heap. The other gunman on that building ducked back from the edge and out of side of the mercenary. Meanwhile the other figure up ahead on the rooftop continued moving toward where Fade had taken Salnikov, but not covering the distance quite as quickly as Dagger was able to. Dagger himself took a few running steps and then leapt through the air to another nearby rooftop, landing in a roll and coming up to aim his right hand knife launcher at Fade’s back. "I am getting tired of this little chase!" He stated as he fired a large blade at the female mercenary, only to once again just miss the target as Fade shoved Salnikov to one side and rolled herself to the other.
-
Fade will make an attack on Dagger (Power attack -2/+2), but blows it with a 13. She then teleports away. Widowmaker shoots at one of the men that shot at him, taking 10 to hit. The gunman gets a 7 so he is down disabled and dazed. The last gunman ducks back behind cover. Dagger leaps after Fade once again, this time using his larger blade to attack, missing again with a 16. Back to Foreshadow! Round Eleven 34 Dagger (bruised, injured) 27 Foreshadow (unarmed, 2 HP) 24 Fade (unharmed) 23 Twin 1 (injured, bruised) 17 Widowmaker (injured, bruised) 16 bodyguards (3) 11 Twin 2 (unharmed) 9 Gunmen (1 on a roof on one side of the street) 6 Incendiary (unharmed)

For Velocity the scores of trips through the gateway quickly became a rather repetitive task that seemed to drag on just a bit too long, even when it lasted mere moments for everyone else. The only thing that broke the monotony was the one return trip where she heard a man’s voice call out. With her enhanced reflexes, the speedster had tried to slow down to see who it might be, but whatever it was gone. As she finished her trips, the yellow clad speedster was rather surprised to see Valerie Cain punch Tess. Velocity just looked at the scene in slight shock, when Valerie came over toward her. "Umm, I am fine." She replied to Valerie. "I appreciate the concern, but you know, I have been at this superhero thing for over a decade and have known Tess and her siblings for much of that. I trust her not to put me in any serious danger, despite some poor choice of wording a bit ago." The Freedom League member then looked at Tess as she apologized and asked what had happened. "No worries. Everything seemed pretty ordinary, except for about the sixty-third of sixty-fourth time I was coming back, I heard a man's voice talking to someone almost as if he had somehow seen me. But I did not see anything."

Okay, notice checks for those out at the wreck of the fighter.
-
With Bliss in the lead, followed closely by Sieka, the three Voidrunners started along the rocky banks of the thin river that wound through the canyon. The midday sun hung high overhead, further heating the already warm air. The barren terrain provided little concealment for the group, leaving staying close to the canyon walls as their best option. After travelling a few miles up the canyon, the three arrived at the crash site of one of the fighters. Shards of composite metal were scattered about the area, the fighter having broken apart when it slammed into the canyon wall. Along one side of the canyon were several large pieces of the spacecraft that had more or less remained intact, although they were very battered.

Kestevan 79 Coalition Victory Station Lor time mark 1421.1 [February 3, 2016 (Terran Calendar)] Amara Val-Ren stood in the center of the command center looking at the massive holographic display that floated in the air above the table around which she was gathered along with Elite and Traveller. The hologram was a detailed map of the Lor Republic and the surrounding parsecs, many of which contained systems and worlds which had accepted assistance from the Praetorians. Intermixed with the representations of the multitude of systems and stellar anomalies were markers providing information on incidents warranting the Praetorians' attention. There were far too many of those markers in Amara's opinion. Although a group of Praetorians (including Amara, Traveller and Cavalier) and Star Knights had managed to follow a group of Spectrum Knights back to their base of operations, capturing a number of their leaders, the Spectrum Knights that had escaped were continuing to spread the chaos and destruction across the galaxy. In addition, new Spectrum Knights continued to appear nearly every standard Lor week. Although most of those chosen as hosts were unstable individuals and not able to fully utilize the potential of their armor, the damage they still caused before being stopped was great. While the combined efforts of the Lor Star Navy, the Praetorians, the Star Knights, and various freelance bounty hunters had drastically reduced the pirate activity that had spiked following the Incursion, there were still shipping lanes along the edge of the Republic that were regularly targeted by pirates. This was particularly true along the unclaimed expanse that lay between the Republic and the remains of the Stellar Khanate, where there were ample locations for pirate ships to dock without too many questions being asked. The Stellar Khanate presented another set of challenges. A number of systems that had broken away from the Khanate had begun to form formal ties with the Republic, and in many cases looking to the Praetorians for aide. And there was much for them to be concerned about. A handful of Star Khan's senior officials that had survived the Incursion had declared themselves rulers of a section of the Khanate and begun trying to expand their areas of influence. The rogue Boran known at Sovereign had led a group of former pirates he had brought under his command during the Incursion and taken control over an area of the former Khanate. While a group of Praetorians had halted his attempts to expand into a number of free systems along the unclaimed expanse, it was doubtful Sovereign had lost his desire to continue expanding his domain. Star Khan himself was still at large somewhere, although what his condition might be was questionable. When he had been rescued from a Lor prison transport, the former conqueror had been in a coma, his body ravaged by the failure of the many implants the Communion had installed in place of so much of his organic parts. There were reports of loyal Khanate forces gathering in large numbers in the central systems of what remained of the Khanate, but accurate information was hard to come by. Another increasing concern for Amara was the Praetorians' relations with the Lor Star Navy. While the Republic civilian government and many in the Lor military (particularly those that worked directly with the Praetorians during the Incursion) were still supportive of the Praetorians, the Star Navy hierarchy and number of star ship commanders were beginning to act more distant. There had even been some disputes over the Praetorians' authority to operate in certain Republic systems. "It would seem we are little closer to helping establish any lasting peace than we were when the Incursion ended." Amara commented to the other two women with her. Among the surviving original Praetorians, the Naram relied heavily on the guidance and assistance of Elite and Traveller as the team had taken on its new role. "Did my brother and the other Imperators have to deal with this many problems and I just never realized it?"

GM On the surface of Dreeda III: Leveling back out after dodging the sonic and lightning blasts sent his way, Dragonid regained some altitude as he faced back toward the two superpowered criminals that had come after him. For the moment the others appeared too busy with their own opponents to lend him any assistance, so the Praetorian prepared himself for having to fight them both for the time being. Focusing first on the male humanoid, Dargonid opened his mouth to let out a powerful jet of flame. The blast caught the man squarely, sending him flying backwards over a hundred feet, as he dropped from the sky to land on the ground in a heap. Faint tendrils of smoke drifted up from the dark clad figure, from where the flames had singed his clothing. Satisfied with the results for the moment, the reptilian Praetorian regarded the winged female as he flashed a grin that bared the sharp teeth in his mouth. "It would be wise to surrender peacefully unless you wish to suffer the same." The winged female gave a small laugh. "Impressive, but the battle is far from over!" With that she sent another sonic blast Dragonid's way, but once again the Praetorian managed to avoid the attack. Out on the landing field, the few remaining normal criminals that were still on their feet decided this fight was far beyond them, so all five turned and began to run from the landing field. Over near the Devotion, the four armed insectoid shook its head to clear it after Corona's powerful attack. Procyus' multifaceted eyes focused on the Lor officer. "I am *tik* already unarmed Lor." He stated, his four empty hand gesturing to the side in a flash of movement. "Not that it *tik* means I is ready *tik* to surrender!" In a blur of movement, the insectoid closed back with Corona, one of his four arms shooting forward at blinding speed with a faint *CRACK* as it broke the sound barrier. *WHAM* The superfast punch hit Corona squarely, as Procyus was already gone, moving in a blur across the landing field and over four hundred feet away from the Lor. As he went, the insectoid tried to spot whomever it was that had shot him earlier, but failed to detect Huhunu where the marine was kneeling in the shadows beside some storage containers. The other speedy criminal circled around and came at Seresk from behind, leaping up onto the huge Praetorian's back to attempt to deliver a paralyzing bite. But Seresk was able to shrug the small Varlis off his back with a slight twist, the reptilian criminal easily landing on his feet and speeding away over near where Procyus had moved. Huhunu remained where he was, continuing to track Procyus movements with her blaster, still set in sniping mode. As the fast moving insectoid reached an edge of the landing field, the marine fired off another blast, this one missing just a bit high. Huhunu frowned slightly and prepared to line up the next shot. As her armored form withstood the blast from Traveller's power pike, Rux looked at the Praetorian a brief moment, before leaping into the air, and through another rift in space that appeared and quickly closed behind the cyborg. Another rift appeared in the air behind Seresk, as Rux leapt out, her plasma blade slashing as the hulking Praetorian's back. The blade cut squarely across Seresk's back, burning a slash mark through his clothing, but doing little to the scaly hide beneath as Seresk let out a slight grunt from the feeling of heat burning across his back. Rux then dropped down into another rift in space, disappearing once more as the rift closed. Over along one edge of the landing field, Sullek's sword flashed in front of him as the cyborg made a few quickly feints before stepping forward as his right arm swept upward for a downward slash at Kharag. But the former God-King of Za'ak was ready for such an attack, stepping toward Sullek as his left hand came up to block the cyborg's right arm as it tried to swing downward. "Is that truly the best you can do? Against one who defeated the greatest weapon masters his world ever produced?" Kharag called out as he continued to step inward toward Sullek, his right arm crossing his body before quickly pulling it back to deliver a powerful elbow slam into the cyborg's exposed side. Sullek was knocked off his feet, and sent flying some ten feet away. But the cyborg managed to execute a flawless summersault and land on his feet. Yet even though he was still upright, Sullek's sword arm dropped slightly, as his free hand clutched at his injured side. With the teleporter gone from sight, Seresk turned back toward where Varlis had run to. Glancing down at the Lor official still cowering on the ground, the large Praetorian stated, "Please remain down, it should be safer for you that way." With that, he took a few running steps and leapt after the speedy criminal. Seresk's massive form hurtled through the air, landing on the landing pad a short distance from Varlis, the impact smashing up chunks of pavement. The reptilian Praetorian twisted his body slightly, his long spiked tail lashing out at the criminal. With a loud *WOOSH* the spiked ball on the end of Serek's tail just passed over Varlis' head, as the speedster managed to duck down just in time. Having shaken off a blow that likely could have leveled a building, Adiri had a wide grin as she stepped in toward Paradigm, attempting to grab the Naram in a bear hug. But although the Geox was able to grab Paradigm's arms, the Praetorian easily pulled them free from Adiri's grasp.

Here is the updated map, numbers for bad guys are the same. Once again Rux has teleported somewhere that she cannot be seen without trying to use Notice to spot her.

While we wait for Tiff's IC post for Traveller: Dragonid will attack Amikai with a fire blast, getting a 28 for a critical hit! That is a DC 32 toughness save for Amikai, and he gets a 27! Still a bruised and dazed result. He is knocked backward 100 feet, but it is all in the air, so no ill effects from that. But, he misses his concentration check with a 5, so he falls to the ground. Will call it a 30' fall, so a DC 18 toughness save, he gets a 27 again, so he takes no further damage. The minion prisoners that are still on their feet will cut and run, not wanting to get caught in this chaos! Round Four 48 Procyus (bruised 2, dazed) 33 Varlis (unharmed) 27 Huhunu (Unharmed) 20 Rux (unharmed) 19 Sullek (unharmed) 19 Seresk (unharmed) 18 Sai'x (unharmed) 18 Amikai (bruised, dazed) 15 Kharag (Unharmed) 15 Adiri (unharmed) 14 Corona (Unharmed, 1HP) 13 Paradigm (bruised, 2 HP) 8 Traveller (Unharmed, 1 HP) 4 Dragonid (Unharmed) So, I will remove Procyus' daze (+1 HP for Corona) and he will zip over and try to punch her, hitting with a 25, so DC 25 toughness save for Corona. He will then continue past over towards the edge of the landing pad (some 400' away from her). He will also try to spot Huhunu (vs 23 Stealth with skill mastery): failing with a 21 Varlis will circle back around behind Seresk and try to bite him with his paralyze attack, missing with a 13 and then he will continue moving away. Huhunu will take another full round action with the sniper shot at Procyus: missing this time with a 17. Rux will teleport over near Seresk and slash at him, hitting with a 27, then teleport away again. Seresk gets a 27 on his toughness save, so is fine. Sullek will attack Kharag, missing with a 14. Seresk will leap after Varlis and then whip his tail mace after him, just missing with a 21. Sai'x will try to blast Dragonid again, missing again with a 14. Amikai is dazed so he misses this action. Kharag will attack Sullek, hitting with a 27. Sullek saves vs DC 25, getting an 18, so he is bruised and dazed! He suffers some knockback, but makes his acrobatic check with a 35, so stays on his feet. Adiri is going to try to grapple Paradigm, making the grab with a 22. Her grapple check is 33, which Paradigm can beat without even rolling! Corona is up now for you to get the OOC stuff going Rav (need a toughness save first though).
-
Okay TT, Cav is up!
-
As I also noted in chat, I misstated the wrong atk/def penalty, so the final defense is +5 (for 15 defense) and attack penalty will only be -1.
-
Blarghy, that is not quite how it works. Right now, you only have Leviathan, so only his total PP will matter. If you were to make another character (or two), then going forward, your progress towards Bronze (or any other reward tier) would be what you currently have plus the highest amount of PP earned by one of your PCs for each given month. So if one month Leviathan earned the most with 3 PP, that would be added to your veteran reward progress, if the next month a new PC earned the most with 2 PP, that amount would be added that month.
-
That is a hit! But Rux gets a 28 on her toughness save so it unharmed.
-
Okay, Traveller spots the teleporter on a rooftop along the edge of the landing pad about 150' away.
-
Although Paradigm had not been budged by Adiri's attack, the powerful blow had managed to hurt the Naram paragon. As her vision blurred slightly and stars appeared, Paradigm forced herself to move and focus on her attacker. As her vision began to refocus, Paradigm quickly launched a punch at the rocky Adiri. The sudden attack caught the Geox by surprise, hitting her squarely in the jaw. *WHAM* The powerful impact kicked up loose debris around the two. However, Adiri stood motionless, barely seeming to register the blow. Realizing that this was not going to be easy, Paradigm ready herself for the coutnerattack...

Okay, Paradgim will use a hero point to shake off her daze, then attack Adiri, hitting with a 29! Due to her partial immunity, Adiri reduces the damage done to only +8, so a DC23 toughness save, which she handily makes with a 28. Traveller is up! (Tiff, make a Notice check if you want to try to spot where Rux went).
-
Okay, attached is a simple map of the fight. The large circle with two rectangles is the Devotion. The green letters the Praetorians (P = Paradigm, C = Corona, ect). The red numbers are the bad guys: 1) Procyus; 2) Varlis; 3) Adiri; 4) Sullek; 5) Amikai and 6) Sai'x. Rux is currently not on the map, until someone tries to spot where she teleported off to. Corona will obviously be moving over to Procyus to attack. She hits and he gets a 18 on his toughness save, meaning he picks up another bruise and is dazed. He is also knocked back 25 feet, but he lands on his feet with a 25 acrobatics check.
