  1. Paradigm sat Seresk down on the rocky surface of Mars as they reached the edge of the massive depression. The Naram looked at the half a dozen openings in the ground that were spaced along a section of the crater. "It would seem that there was somewhere for them to hide." She stated before flying toward the closest, carrying Seresk once again. Moments later she led the way down into the opening, the group finding what appeared to be a cavern that was carved out of the rock, some sort of landing pad in the center under the opening. The mouth of the opening looked like it once had doors that could slide back in place to cover it, but they were either missing or just stuck in the open position. There was some very odd looking technology along some of the walls of the cavern, which Paradigm studied a moment. "The equipment in this room is a bit old, but appears to be Grue." She stated.
  2. TT, this thing has a -2 defense! So that is good enough to get +4 from autofire, giving it a DC 30 toughness save: 22, so it takes some damage (I will say you took out one of its guns, and caused a temporary power surge that will disable the guns on one side for a round).
  3. Giving everyone on the Sar-Lan a HP for the complication with the deathtrap and hostages. 22 Cavalier (Unharmed, 3 HP) 21 Mater Vyrdna (Unharmed, 2 HP) 21 Moon-Moth (Unharmed, 1 HP) 15 Sentry Robots 7 Magnetar (Unharmed) Cav is up TT!
  4. Okay TT, Cav is up.
  5. Pulling the car door open, Foreshadow spotted Salnikov, just as the teleporting woman moved over next to him. She glanced up at the vigilante, giving him a sly smile. "Sorry dark and mysterious, we have other travel plans." Then in a flash of light she was gone, taking Salnikov with her. A quick glance told Foreshadow that the driver was at best half conscious. But the dark clad hero did not have long to consider what he was going to do, when the figure up on the rooftop fired the rocket launcher again at the front of the limo. Foreshadow managed to duck down behind the side of the vehicle, the blast passing harmlessly overhead. The bodyguard who had climbed out of the limo did not fare as well, as enough of the blast caught him to knock him down to the pavement. He was clearly hurt badly, but the injuries did not seem to be immediately life threatening. Widowmaker continued to run down the street toward the limo. Although he was still a ways away, he aimed up at the figure with the rocket launcher and fired his M4. The slug caught the figure in the left shoulder, spinning it around as it fell down onto the rooftop out of view. Another figure that had been on the rooftop near the one with the rocket launcher started off along the roof, leaping and flipping through the air as it appeared to be chasing something. Meanwhile, the four gunmen that had just appeared opened fire, two aiming at Foreshadow, the other two at Widowmaker. Bullets ricocheted along the pavement near Foreshadow, but only one burst came particularly close to the vigilante. One of the gunmen firing at Widowmaker was more accurate, however, the three bullets that struck the mercenary glanced harmlessly off him. Dagger leapt through the air toward another rooftop, also apparently pursuing someone. As he landed, he brought up one arm to send several small blades flying after Fade. However, his aim was off, as the teleporting mercenary managed to dodge the attack...
  6. So, he is fine obviously. The bodyguard who got out of the car does not do so well. His toughness save is no better, so he is on the ground Staggered, Disabled and Dazed. Widowmaker runs over and takes a shot at the guy with the rocket launcher, 27, which hits. Twin 1 makes a toughness save, getting a 13 (vs DC 21), so is dazed, bruised and injured. Twin 2 makes a Notice check: 28 and spots where Fade teleported and starts off in that direction with two move actions. The gunmen on the roof open fire on Foreshadow and Widowmaker (first 2 on Foreshadow): 7, 22, 23, 10, so Foreshadow avoids both, Widowmaker is hit by one, but the bullets bounce off him. Dagger heads off after Fade, but misses with a 20. And back to Foreshadow! Round Ten 34 Dagger (bruised, injured) 27 Foreshadow (unarmed, 2 HP) 24 Fade (unharmed) 23 Twin 1 (injured, bruised, dazed) 17 Widowmaker (injured, bruised) 16 bodyguards (3) 11 Twin 2 (unharmed) 9 Gunmen (4: 2 on roofs on either side of street) 6 Incendiary (unharmed)
  7. Okay, Fade will grab ahold of Salnikov and make two move action teleports to get them out of the limo and up onto a nearby rooftop. Twin 1 will fire the rocket launcher at the limo again, 21, so the rocket hits the front of the car. Foreshadow needs to make a DC 20 reflex save to avoid the explosion (thanks to Evasion 2)...
  8. Okay Tiff, Traveller is up, but the three criminals near her have dropped their weapons and are surrendering.
  9. With all the other criminals seemingly under control, Paradigm turned her attention to the last two standing near her, Dragonid and Kharag. The weapons they were wielding had little chance of harming her, so she was willing to give them one more chance to surrender. Gliding down towards the pair, the Naram positioned herself between the two aliens and her fellow Praetorians. "Your weapons cannot harm me and the rest of your allies are unconscious or have surrendered. I suggest you surrender as well, or face the consequences." She made a small gesture to the two Praetorians standing behind her, who had turned toward the remaining two criminals.
  10. Okay, for those in space, sentry robots are starting to try and destroy the Sar-Lan from the inside out. Time for initiatives (I already have one for Mater Vyrdna). Also TT, you can make a Notice or Search check for trying to locate the source of the transmission if you like.
  11. GM Aboard the Sar-Lan "I was wondering who the Republic might eventually send looking for us, and you are certainly exceeding my expectations thus far." Replied the female Lor. "And yes, as one of you has surmised, I am X'madi." "But my location is likely to not be your top concern. Somewhere on the Sar-Lan are the Lor crew members that survived our takeover. The question is will you be able to find them and get them to safely before the sentry robots aboard cause too much damage and breech the vessel's hull, or overload the reactor." At that, half a dozen humanoid robots emerged from some of the detention cells in the room Cavalier and Moon-Moth were currently standing in. Several of them showed signs of having been damaged and repaired, as they aimed their left weapon arms toward the ceiling or floor and began to open fire. The Praetorian and Star Knight could hear similar energy weapon fire echoing from elsewhere nearby. Plugged into the ship's systems, Mater Vyrdna heard similar weapons fire throughout the Sar-Lan….. On the surface of Dreeda III The Lor government official was still lying on the ground where one of the large humanoids had pushed him when Corona stepped over and began demanding answers. Seresk, the hulking reptilian Praetorian moved over toward the remaining large humanoid on its feet, glowering down at the criminal to dissuade any thought it might have of trying to attack Corona while her attention was focused on the Lor official. The official looked up at Corona, shock and fear on his face. "I…I didn't attack anyone! They forced me to accompany them here to learn who you were." The official exclaimed. "They threatened my family! After what they did to the governor and police chief when they arrived a few cycles ago, no one has dared disobey them." "I….I don't know which one Pheydyn is, but the Lor female leading them has taken over the governor's offices as her headquarters."
  12. I'll say you can get there in one move action.
  13. Round Nine 34 Dagger (bruised, injured) 27 Foreshadow (unarmed, 2 HP) 24 Fade (unharmed) 23 Twin 1 (unharmed) 17 Widowmaker (injured, bruised) 16 bodyguards (3) 11 Twin 2 (unharmed) 9 Gunmen (4: 2 on roofs on either side of street) 6 Incendiary (unharmed) Okay, everyone is basically moving, so back to Foreshadow....
  14. Okay, Velocity will take 10 to hit him then with her strike, getting a 25. If that is good enough to hit, that is a DC 30 toughness save.
  15. Inside the burning limo, the teleporting woman shook her head to clear the stars that had appeared after the first rocket had hit the vehicle and caused it to crash. Glancing around she saw that Salnikov appeared half unconscious as well, with the driver completely knocked out. Up on a nearby rooftop, the figure with the rocket launcher began reloading the weapon for another shot, while other armed men appeared along the edges of the roof. Back near the club's parking lot, Widowmaker lowered his combat shotgun with a curse as both Dagger and Foreshadow moved out of his range. The mercenary started running down the street in the direction of the burning limo, making less headway that the other two in that regard. Dagger ran along rooftops, leaping up to others as he went, soon reaching a building up above where the damaged limo sat....
  16. Surface of Galor III, Yollon City Moon-Moth's mystical bolt continued its pursuit of one of the pirate interceptors, keeping up with the fast moving spacecraft with ease. With one final lunge of speed, the mystical bolt slams into the back of the spacecraft, causing it to shudder slightly and leaving a thin line of smoke trailing behind it. The large mech continues to try to track the fast moving interceptors as Moon-Moth glides over and speaks to it. "Praetorians?" A mechanical voice states from the mech. "I heard about you guys during the Communion War. I did not know you had taken to mercenary work." Orbit above Galor III In the face of the heavy barrage of fire from the Kavaca, the pirate vessel banked sharply away to avoid being caught in the barrage. Even with the severe course correction, some of the pirate gunners tried to fire at the Praetorians. Two guns fired on Cavalier again, but the shots went far wide. Two other gunners returned fire on the Kavaca, and while one badly missed, the second managed to hit the Praetorian vessel. However, the Kavaca's reinforced hull easily took the attack, the vessel shuddering slightly, but others wise there being little effect.
  17. Okay, the homing blast hits an interceptor, which gets a 21 on its toughness save, so it takes an injured status. Up in space, the pirate capital ship banks away from Vyrdna's suppressive fire, meaning the gunners have a -4 on their attack rolls. 2 shoot at Cavalier again (needing a natural 20 to even hit): 0 and -1, so both miss by a good bit. Two others will fire at the Kavaca: -1 and 12, one miss and one just barely hitting. The Kavaca gets a 27 on its toughness save, so it shrugs off the blast. Vyrdna is up again!
  18. GM Once Queenie had taken a seat, or otherwise readied herself for their departure, Magnetar activated the spacecraft's engines and they began to accelerate forward. Although she could feel the vessel accelerate, the sensation was faint. It was not long before Mars came clearly into view, growing larger and larger. According to the sensor scans run by Seresk (the information translated by Paradigm), the criminal's ship had landed on the surface at coordinates near the northern pole. The Praetorians landed their vessel a short distance from the coordinates, the four disembarking to make their way under their own power. The sun hung faintly in the hazy yellow sky. Flying over the rocky barren landscape (with Paradigm carrying Seresk), the group soon arrived at a large crater. While from a distance the rocky surface of the crater looked like any other crater on the planet, a closer look reveled that what would appear like several smaller craters from a distance were actually openings in the surface. There where at least half a dozen of them, each at least a hundred feet across, opening into what appeared to be some sort of cave system below.
  19. Great, human lab rat, that's me. Velocity thought to herself as Tess explained what she needed from the speedster. But she just gave the older woman a small smile at the mention of nothing smacking her in the face if she ended up at the right place. "That is always a plus." "But sure thing, no problem. A little over a hundred trips through the gate, should only take a few moments. Just let me know when the gate is ready." The Freedom League member then added, standing upright and readying herself to make the high speed trips through the gateway.
  20. Paradigm listened as Queenie talked a bit about the conditions on Mars, then focused back on the holographic projection of the red planet. "As inhospitable as it may be, the craft the group has should contain supplies sufficient to allow them to remain there for at least a few standard galactic days." "But in any event, that is where the trail leads us, so we should at least follow, to see what we can learn." The Praetorian then added as she spoke something to her companions in the unknown language. Magnetar moved over toward one of the seats on the bridge, at what appeared to be the helm. Paradigm gestured toward one of the empty seats as she looked at Queenie, "please feel free to sit if you wish." She stated, before moving toward the seat in the center of the bridge. Seresk moved off to one side and continued standing, being too large for any of the seats on the bridge.
  21. Paradigm drifted out of the airlock and into the Communion infested spacecraft beyond. The Naram looked about at the section of ship, noting that they were still in a vacuum, something that did not bother her or the two accompanying her. When the group of Communion drones appeared, the Praetorian wasted little time in turning to face them, bringing her hands together in front of her in a powerful clap which sent a shockwave out towards the rushing drones. The shockwave knocked almost all of them off their feet, damaging them in the process, but not quite putting them down.
  22. Surface of Galor III, Yollon City Along one intersection of the city Moon-Moth spotted a large mecha move out into the open, taking aim at the pirate fighters flying over the city with its left gun arm. A blast of plasma shot out, hitting one of the pirate spacecraft and blasting off a section of wing. This resulted in the fast moving craft spinning out of control and crashing into the cliff side of the valley in a bright explosion. The mecha's success drew the attention of one of the other pirate fighters, which banked around and came on a strafing run at the defender. Beams of energy tore up sections of the street near the mecha, but the machine emerged from the onslaught harmed. Moon-Moth meanwhile had also attracted the attention of the fighter he had shot his mystical bolt after (the bolt of mystical energy still snaking after the fighter as it turned back around). Bursts of energy sizzled through the air near the Praetorian, but missed by a wide mark. The last pirate fighter continued to attack the city's ground defenses....
  23. Okay, although it seems unlikely that Almilee will return, I am going to include Shell in things on the ground. Round Two 28 Shell (unharmed) 20 Pirate Pilots (4 in interceptors) 20 Moon-Moth (unharmed, 3 HP) 12 Pirate gunners 7 Mater Vyrdna (unharmed, 1 HP) 5 Cavalier (unharmed, 3 HP) Shell fires on one of the interceptors, hitting with a 23. The interceptor has DC 25 toughness save, getting a: 13, which is enough to disable the spacecraft and cause it to crash. One interceptor will attack Moon-Moth, another Shell (the third attacks another of the city's defenses): 14, 13, so both attacks miss. Moon-Moth is up! (and do not forget your homing attack from last round)
  24. GM Travller's wide stun beam catches all six of the imposters posing as maintenance workers, although two of them almost made it clear from the beam. But the results were somewhat mixed, with three managing to resist the beam, while the other three were either dazed or stunned. Back over by Corona, the remaining larger criminal that had been with the Lor representative hesitated at the Lor officer’s command, glancing over at where Kharag had just downed his comrade. Raising his hands out to his side, the hulking humanoid seemed willing to surrender, at least for the moment. Dragonid deployed his mechanical wings, taking to the air after Paradigm. The reptilian Praetorian turned his attention to the group of criminals that had exited the other hover vehicle. Opening his mouth, Dragonid release a long line of flame that crackled across the pavement, catching three of the criminals in its path. All three were blasted from their feet, their clothes and bodies singed by the fire as they collapsed in a smoking heap unconscious. The four remaining criminals that had avoided Dragonid's attack took aim with their weapons, a pair taking aim at each of the Praetorians attacking them. The two blasts fired at Paradigm both went wide, zipping off into the sky as they missed the Naram. One of the blasts aimed at Dragonid did the same, but the second found its mark. However, the Praetorian's scaly hide shrugged off the hit. Over by Traveller, the three criminals that had resisted her stun blast all dropped their weapons. From his/her concealed position, Huhunu noted that there seemed to be little threat to his/her teammates at the moment. So the Ipukarea marine continued to wait for any more serious threat to appear. Seeing that the last larger humanoid was surrendering, Kharag snarled with slight annoyance, before he sped off toward the criminals still facing Dragonid and Paradigm. Closing first with the two that had fired on Dragonid, Kharag delivered two blindingly fast strikes which easily dispatched the two criminals into unconsciousness. "Is that it? Is there no one worthy of facing the Conqueror of Thousands?!" The Za'akis called out in anger.
  25. Tiff, your area Stun is a general burst, not targeted, so there is no attack roll! (And they guys are minions anyway, so you could have taken 10). So, they try their Reflex saves: 10, 4, 3, 15, 15, 5, so two make it and lower their Fort saves. Three save vs DC 15: 23, 11, 17, so two make it, the other is dazed. And I forgot one that took the full blast, he gets a 10 on his fort save, so is Stunned. Two save vs. DC 12: 16, 10, so one makes it, the other is dazed. The remaining larger alien does what Corona told him, and freezes. Dragonid will fly forward toward the other group of criminals exiting one of the hover vehicles and uses his line area attack to catch three of them in a fiery blast. They get reflex saves vs. DC 20 to try to halve the effect: 16, 9 and 15, nope, they all take full damage. DC 25 toughness saves for each: 7, 10, 13 they all fail and go down. Of the remaining four criminals from that group, 2 will shoot at Dragonid: 23 and 11, so one hit. Dragoind saves vs: DC 20 damage: 27 so he is fine. The other two shoot at Paradigm: 18 and 9 so both miss. The four criminals that resisted Traveller’s stun also do what Corona told them and drop their weapons. This brings us back to: Round Two 27 Huhunu (Unharmed) 15 Kharag (Unharmed) 14 Corona (Unharmed, 1HP) 13 Paradigm (Unharmed, 3 HP) 8 Traveller (Unharmed, 1 HP) 8 Large criminals (1 unharmed) 4 Dragonid (Unharmed) 4 Escaped prisoners (6 posing as maintenance workers (2 dazed), 4 others in nearby hover vehicles) Huhunu will continue to hold. Kharag will run over towards the criminals fighting Dragonid and Paradigm, attacking the first of the two that shot at Dragonid (taking 10 to hit): the criminal gets a 22 for his toughness save, but still goes down. Kharag will use takedown attack on the other one, who gets a 11 so he is down as well. And we are back to Corona!
