As the thunder boomed in the sky and Thurde's voice echoed over the land, the shadowy shape below her let out a high pitched shriek that managed to pierce through the night sky. The figure stood upright, appearing to tower at least seven feet in height. As it stood, larger leathery wings extended out to either side, as it appeared ready to take to the air as well. A few flashes of lighting that accompanied Thurde provided brief flickers of light, which revealed a dead sheep at the thing's feet. Of the creature itself, the goddess only caught the briefest of glances, of some grotesque monstrosity that appeared to be covered in some sort of chitins hide.

As Dee pulled the images from Rafael's mind about the memory in question (which were relayed instantly to Agnus), the Englishwoman's blood ran cold as she realized what it was she was seeing. That initial feeling was quickly replaced by a burning anger, something that was not easy to keep from showing on her face as she watched the various people subjected to the Powers Process slip into madness. <We have to find out who is doing this and stop them.> Dee stated to Agnus once the memory was done, her mental voice carrying steely edge that was normally not there.

While I know this will more than max her out, I want to keep tracking the PP she has earned beyond 250 for a little bit so I can unwind the veteran award I used to boost her from PL 7 to PL 10 back when I made her. She is going to need 14 pp beyond 250 to unwind the award. For the rest of my GM/Velocity rollover posts, give those to Paradigm)

Paradigm gave a small nod as Queenie mentioned getting to the task of locating the escaped criminals. "I am not aware of any such locations within your system." She replied to Queenie's Star Wars reference. "But we shall see if Seresk has been able to track them." With that, the Praetorians lead their guest into the next room, which was an elliptically shaped space which appeared to be some sort of living quarters. There was a small sofa like seat, a rounded table set along one wall, what appeared to be three slightly rounded lockers made of a silvery metal, and off to one side along the far wall, three tall cylindrical chambers with transparent walls. A slightly curved door to the left took the group into much larger elliptically shaped room. The room was currently empty, with higher ceilings than the area they had just been in, suggesting it might be a cargo area. Along the walls toward the opposite end of the room were several smaller rooms that appeared to be holding cells. Paradigm led the group along a narrow walkway that was slightly raised off the main floor of the cargo area, toward another door toward the front of the ship. They passed through another small room (also elliptical in shape) and the doors to either side, taking instead the door opposite the one that lead back to the cargo area. This brought them into a good sized semi-circular room. This one was filled with a variety of advanced looking equipment, some of which pulsed with energy. Toward the opposite end of the room was what appeared to be some sort of workstation, with a number of holographic displays. On either side of the workstation, along a wall that slightly curved into the semi-circular room, was a door. Paradigm and Magnetar led Queenie toward the door to the right, which led to another semi-circular room (this one appearing to be the other "half" of the previous room, although because of the slightly curved wall that divided them, it was slightly larger). It was quickly clear that this was the bridge of the ship, as there were three chairs along the other end of the room, each positioned at a counsel covered with all manner of controls and displays. Additional holographic displays and workstations lined the walls, and over near one that sat along the wall separating the bridge from the previous room was another of the Praetorians. This one was a hulking reptilian humanoid, who was easily over eight feet tall. It was covered in green and brown scales, with a long tail that ended in a spiked ball. The alien turned to regard the three, speaking in the language Queenie had heard the other Praetorians used, with the same deep, gravelly voice she had heard earlier over the comm system. "Allow me to introduce Seresk." Paradigm stated, the larger reptilian alien bowing his head slightly at the introduction. "He has managed to track the criminals to the fourth planet in your system." She added, as a holographic map appeared in the air near the group, showing the immediate area of space, including the very familiar red planet.

GM Aboard the Sar-lan As Cavalier and Moon-Moth moved past the torn open security doors, the interior of the vessel began to show more and more signs of escape of the prisoners that had been held within the numerous cell blocks. There were scorch marks along the walls in many locations, while a variety of debris was scatted about on the floors. Occasional bloodstains were splashed on walls, while a number of lights were smashed, causing long shadows to be cast throughout the ship. But despite the signs of violent struggles, there were no bodies to be seen. Whatever the fate of the Sar-lan's crew, the prisoners had apparently moved them somewhere else within the vessel. As Mater Vyrdna continued to search the vessel's computer systems, a voice came over the Sar-lan's intercom system, something Mater Vyrdna could hear as well while connected with the ship's systems. "Well, this is interesting. You have managed to avoid the internal sensors somehow, but I know you are accessing the Sar-lan's computer systems." Stated a female voice with a distinct Lor accent.

Paradigm was not particularly surprised when the larger humanoids behind the Lor reveled themselves to be criminals from the Sar-lan. Of course it meant that the situation was extremely complex, the Praetorians were not about to allow themselves to be attacked without response, as Kharag quickly dispatched one of the large humanoids, and Corona delivered a very stern warning to the closest criminals with impressive force. Trusting that Corona's command would suffice for the criminals near the group, the Naram started lifting up into the air. "Praetorians, subdue the criminals quickly and be mindful of any potential hostages. We need to move quickly to find and secure any other criminals nearby and locate the ringleaders of this escape." She then soared over toward one of the groups of armed criminals exiting nearby hovercrafts. As she came to a halt a short distance from them, Paradigm swept her arms in front of her, bringing her hands together with tremendous force, creating a massive shockwave which rippled out in front of her, slamming into the seven criminals who were blasted off their feet and sent flying backward dozens of feet where they landed unconscious.

Paradigm will fly over towards where the criminals are exiting the hover vehicles and use her shockwave on one of the groups. DC 23 reflex save for them to reduce the damage (making it DC21 instead of DC 28). All seven criminals fail their reflex saves. And they fail their toughness saves (which would have taken a natural 20 anyway). Traveller is up Tiff!

Go ahead and make an IC post TT.
-
Okay, given how spread out the groups are, I will say you are able to effect the remaining large humanoid near you, and the group that was posing as mechanics. The other group is too far away. They can't beat your roll, so go ahead and post.
-
One problem Rav, Intimidate is a full-round action. (Demoralize is a move action, but you cannot demoralize an entire group).

A grave look came over Paradigm's face as the three flew over to board the Praetorian's spacecraft. "I am afraid your world was very fortunate in its encounter with the Communion's wormhole weapon. The majority of the other wormhole locations that were created by that weapon before it was stopped here exist where populated worlds once were." "But for now, the Communion has once again been driven from this galaxy. We can only hope that the galaxy does not again lose the knowledge of the Communion, and what it is capable of." She added as they approached a small rounded bulge toward the rear of the spacecraft. Once they drew near, the "bulge" split, the two doors sliding open smoothly. Inside was a small circular area with a grated floor, the two rounded doors that had slide open now on the interior side of the airlock. Once the three had all landed on the circular area, the two rounded doors began sliding back to their outward position. Queenie was a bit surprised that during the process, the interior of the ship was opened up towards the vacuum before the doors fully closed. That was until she realized there was a faint shimming forcefield on the inside of the airlock, apparently containing the ship's atmosphere. When the doors had resealed themselves in their outer position, Paradigm and Magnetar both stepped through the shimmering filed and into the oddly shaped room beyond. The walls were curved, narrowing to a slightly rounded point to the left, opening to a much wider curved wall to the right, in which a curved door sat. "The standard atmosphere for our vessels is safe for Terrans." Paradigm stated with a small smile. "Two of our members hail from your world in fact." "As for the group we are pursuing, they are suspected of committing a number of crimes within the Lor Republic and a number of other free systems that boarder Republic space. They mostly have involved theft, but there have been some deaths connected with their crimes, particularly of law enforcement officers attempting to stop them." Paradigm then added, answering Queenie's question.

Aboard the Voidrunner The mark set back up from the cot as Roulette made his way back into the cell area. "Giving you something of a problem are they?" He stated, a wide smile coming to his face. "Believe me, they are just getting started trying to free me. If you want to get out of this alive, I suggest you just let me go." He then added, his smile fading from his face. But despite his attempts at bravado, Roulette had a distinct feeling that the mark had no idea who it was attacking them.

The mark tries to bluff, and fails.

GM Huhunu was still invisible, having positioned his/her self a short distance away from Devotion and observing the progress of the others. When the two large humanoids accompanying the Lor administrator prepared to attack the Praetorians, the maintenance workers reveling themselves to be escaped criminals as well, Huhunu took a knee as he/she readied his/her carbine, but holding fire for the moment, not wanting to give up the element of disguise just yet. Kharag meanwhile, had no desire to exercise restraint now that some of the escaped criminals had reveled themselves. "Prepare yourselves scum, I am Kharag, the Scourge of Za'ak!" He called out, before leaping forward, delivering a powerful kick to one of the large criminal's chest. The blow sent the humanoid flying backward dozens of feet, where he landed hard on the ground, unconscious.

Huhunu holds. Kharag attacks one of the large humanoids, getting a 30! So that is a crit, the humanoid gets a 15, so he goes down! Corona is up!

Velocity was rather at easy within the laboratory in the Nucleus, even though she was not nearly as scientifically inclined as most of the people in the room. The yellow clad speedster had been an active hero in Freedom City for over a decade, and she had gotten to know the Atoms rather early in that time. Chase and Victoria were only a couple years older than her. One month was a long time to be away from Robert and Lawrence, but it was an interesting opportunity. A couple of years ago, it would have been all but impossible for Megan Howell to just disappear for a month (much less a week), but now her closest family knew her identity as Velocity. "Hey Cosmo, how you doing?" The speedster asked as she scratched the monkey under his chin. It was then that Victoria came over to her. "Sure thing." She replied, before she was gone in a blur yellow, appearing over next to Tess Atoms. "What’s up Tess?"

After they had gathered their weapons and other gear, the three Voidrunners gathered at the hatch to the main ramp of the vessel. Exiting the spacecraft, the found the dim cave that Ruby had landed in to be cool and damp. The sound of dripping water could be heard faintly somewhere deeper into the cave, but otherwise it was rather quiet. Moving toward the mouth of the cave, Seika took the lead, as tracking and survival in the wilderness was much more her area of expertise. The Kah'iru peered out into the bright light of the canyon floor beyond, scanning over the rocky shoreline of a thin river. So far there was no sign of any of their pursuers, but they had some ground to cover before they could reach the fighter that had been downed in the canyon.

Paradigm will open with a shockwave, +13 damage cone area damage starting from her. DC 23 Reflex save to halve the damage (for DC 21 toughness save), otherwise a DC 28 toughness save.

"The wormhole is a new feature to your solar system." Paradigm replied. "It was formed earlier in the year when several heroes from your world destroyed the Communion's planet destroyer at the edge of your solar system. Like many others that weapon created throughout the quadrant, it is part of a wormhole network, although it is not always completely stable." "If it were not for that network, those criminals we have been pursuing would never have made it to your solar system in their stolen vessel." She then added. "And speaking of them, if you are interested in helping pursue them, please come aboard and we can see if Seresk has been able to track them." The Praetorian gestured over towards the teardrop shaped spacecraft as Magnetar started back towards it.
