  1. Okay, let's get things rolling with initiatives for those down on the surface. Will try to get stuff up for those in orbit tonight (and keep them synched with those on the ground, though they are probably slightly behind what is going on down there at the moment)
  2. GM On the surface of Dreeda III The Lor representative of the planetary government seemed a bit puzzled by Corona's introduction. "ALIENS?" He responded, a questioning look on his face. "I am afraid I am not familiar with that agency." He responded, only for his expression to then suddenly change to one of fear as she asked about the Sar-Lan. "Th...the Sar-Lan?" He replied as he tried to compose himself again. "Oh, you mean the ship in orbit..." he began to respond, regaining at least some of his composure. But he was never able to finish the sentence, as the two large humanoids just behind him apparently decided to act. "Get them!" They shouted, as they pushed the Lor aside and prepared to lunge toward Corona and the Praetorians. Off to one side, the "maintenance workers" all reached for hidden energy weapons...
  3. "Chef?" Paradigm stated, a brief look crossing her face like she was trying to place the word. "I would not say I have met many chefs that can survive outside a spacecraft in the void, at least unless that was a trait common to their species." She then replied, before she glanced over at the first alien as he spoke something in the language Queenie had previously heard through the ring (his voice not matching the one she had heard as well). After listening to the other alien, Paradigm turned back to Queenie. "Allow me to formally introduce my fellow Praetorian Magnetar." She stated, gesturing toward the alien who gave Queenie a small nod. "I apologize for being delayed in getting here, this misunderstanding could have been resolved more quickly, but I was assisting members of your Freedom League with diverting some asteroids that threatened to collide with the spacestaion they have monitoring the wormhole at the edge of your solar system."
  4. Okay, the pirate vessel will react to the suppressive fire next round (when it will maneuver to avoid being hit). Cavalier is up TT!
  5. Probably best to go to initiative now.

Heading in the direction of the sounds, Thurde flew over the nearby valley, which opened up into another field at the base of the foothills of Skottinden mountain. As she reached the fields, below her in the snow she saw several sheep running in apparent terror. It was not too difficult for the goddess to roughly determine the direction of whatever danger they had been fleeing from. Flying in that direction, Thurde soon reached a section of the fields that lay right up against the rocky hillside of the mountain's foothills. There, in the shadows of those hills, she could faintly make out some large dark shape, hunched over something. At the sound of her approach, the figure appeared to look up toward the sky, but was too much in shadow to adequately make out any details...
  7. I am up for continuing!
  8. The alien showed little sign of understanding everything Queenie was saying when she apologized, but seemed to at least understand the basic she had been conveying. When the ring bearing heroine began trying to convey the offer to help pursue the other spaceship, the alien glanced off to the side briefly, as if looking for something. He held up one hand as he looked at her once again, seemingly asking her patience, before he pointed off in the direction the two spaceships had generally been coming from. Looking in the indicated direction, Queenie could just make out something headed toward them at high speeds. The alien did not appear alarmed by whatever was approaching, and a few moments later another humanoid figure came into view, flying over toward the pair. The new arrival was clearly female, slightly taller than Queenie and with dark orange skin. She had long hair that was dark purple mixed with black and yellow eyes. She wore a full lengthy white bodysuit, with black diamond patterns (which were surrounded by golden yellow trim) on the shoulders and upper chest. Her long gloves and boots were also black with similar golden yellow trim. A long black cape began to float in the void behind her as she came to a halt a short distance away. "Greetings. I am Paradigm, current Imperatrix of the Praetorians." She stated in English with an accent unlike anything Queenie had heard before. "You are Terran, correct?"
  9. GM There were a few tense moments while the large teardrop shaped spacecraft sat motionless facing Queenie. But the vessel did not try to move around or away from the heroine, nor was it opening fire with its weapons. After a bit of searching, Queenie found what she believed was the channel the vessel was using for its communications. Unfortunately that success quickly turned out to not be as helpful as she hoped, as the deep, gravelly voice that responded over the channel was speaking in a language she did not understand. The voice appeared to be trying to respond to her, but it was unclear whether it had understood her broadcast. A few moments later, a airlock on one side of the spacecraft opened, and a small, humanoid figure emerged, flying through the void over towards Queenie. The figure was surrounded by a faint blue glow as it flew over to Queenie, coming to a halt a short distance away. She could see that it was a humanoid alien, with dark green skin, its head was hairless, with a rather elongated face with minimal defining features, although it had a easily identifiable mouth, nose and two eyes. Coming to a halt away from Queenie, the figure (she believed it might be male) held up both of his hands in front of him, palms out toward her in what Queenie was rather confident was intended to be a non-hostile gesture. The alien then gestured to himself and the spaceship behind him before bringing his arms back in front of him and crossing them at the wrists as if signaling being restrained. He then pointed off in the direction the smaller spaceship (which was now well out of sight) had gone.
  10. Nope, that is good enough.
  11. EP, could you give me a Sense Motive roll for Queenie please.
  12. OOC for this thread.
  13. So, some comments for you Amy: There are still a number of things we require for a character sheet that are missing (you should look at one of the characters in the hero bank for all the formatting and what is needed). For her skills, why does she have Intimidate 9 if she is just a teenage girl? Is it a reflection of her powers (and their origins)? If so, perhaps it would make more sense for her to have ranks of Intimidate as Enhanced Skills (ie powers) instead of just straight natural skill. Powers: For the Teleport alternate power, I would drop the Portal extra and take Accurate instead, otherwise you are limited in using long range teleports, as without Accurate, you can only teleport to places you can accurately sense or know especially well. You need to change the point costs for several of your powers at the top of the Powers list. Right now it reads 29 + 6 + 25 + 5 = 65, it should read 30 + 3 + 24 + 5 = 62. The 3 points you spent on Wealthy should be under Feats as Benefit: Wealth 3. Also, unfortunately the magical awareness Super-Sense no longer meets our house rules (Ecal probably built the character before the change). Under our current house rules, Awareness and Detect are merged, and for a very common descriptor like magic cause a base of 3 pp (you get them at range as part of that). Acute, radius and extended each cost 1 pp to add, so you need at least 6 pp to get the Super-Sense like it is now, or you can drop one of the three add-ons to keep it at 5 for now (and can always add the other when you get some experience to improve).
  14. Velocity One Month Mission (1) Tsuanmi Synapse Paradigm (3) The Red Planet (3) GM (7) The Red Planet (2) Starspawn (1) Praetorians: The Deadly Dozen (2) An Easy Mark (2) Okay, lets put 12 of the GM/rollover posts to Paradigm to give her 15. Ref point to her as well. Both Tsunami and Synapse get a GM post to give them 1 post this month.
  15. GM Now focused on trying to separate the two spacecraft and get hostilities to cease, Queenie sped toward the two vessels as quickly as she could. The pursuing vessel fired off a couple more shots at the fleeing craft before Queenie had managed to close the distance, but both appeared oblivious to her approach. Soon the glowing heroine had managed to close the distance with the two vessels, moving between the two and throwing up a silvery grey forcefield in the path of the pursuing vessel. While the forcefield was not particularly large, considering they were out in deep space with plenty of room to maneuver around it, but it was large enough to cause the silvery teardrop shaped spacecraft to have to make a hard turn to avoid smashing into it. That sharp change in direction also required the pursuing craft to reduce speed. In the end, it came to a complete halt, swinging back around to face Queenie, but it did not immediately open fire. Meanwhile, the smaller vessel continued away at top speed...
  16. Okay, have talked with Ari some in chat and read the PMs going around, so figure I will officially include Velocity (just hope she doesn't throw off balance too badly )
  17. They are pretty damaged, but you think it was torn open from the side opposite the direction you are headed.
  18. Surface of Galor III, Yollon City Moon-moth's mystical blast missed one of the pirate fighters, the sleek spacecraft just dodging the incoming attack as it streaked by. But the mystical energy turned to pursue the passing fighter, far from done in trying to reach its intended target. Moon-moth could hear smaller energy weapons discharging in the distance, a likely sign that the attacking forces had deployed ground forces in the assault as well.... Orbit above Galor III With the negotiations concluded, the pirate vessel continued to fire at the planet's defense systems. A pair of the spacecraft's weapons shifted their fire toward Cavalier, firing powerful blasts at the Star Knight. Both missed the glowing target, although one just barely....
  19. Yes, that is a miss Ex, so next round we will handle the homing on your turn. Two pirate gunners fire at Cavalier, both missing, though one was very close to hitting. Mater Vyrdna is up!
  20. GM In orbit: Cavalier and Moon-Moth made their way into the airlock, as the outer door closed behind them and the chamber began to repressurize to provide access to the rest of the ship. Magnetar remained outside to cover Mater Vyrdna, as the techopath began digging through the Sar-lan's computer files. The inside of the Sar-lan was quiet, far too quiet. Cavalier and Moon-Moth looked down both directions of the empty hallway, before choosing a direction to start in as the slowly flew forward to avoid tripping any pressure sensors or traps. They had not gone very far when they came to a section of security doors, designed to seal off sections of the ship in the case of an escape. The large composite doors had been extended, but were almost completely torn apart, rending them all but useless. Inside the Sar-lan's computer system, Mater Vyrdna was starting to get a bit frustrated. Far too many firewalls were in place where it made little sense for them to be. Someone had done a considerable amount of reprogramming of this section of the computer’s memory. Even as she was able to get through the first few firewalls and encryption, Mater Vyrdna found nothing but empty memory, the files that should have been in place either moved or deleted. On the surface of Dreeda III: As Paradigm lead the way over toward the waiting Lor representative, the others following along behind took a moment to glance at the area around them. Both Corona and Traveller noted the six maintenance workers waiting off to one side of the landing pad. Traveller noted that they seemed to have little in the way of equipment they would normally need to provide basic service to a newly arrived vessel. Cornoa noted they all seemed very tense and on edge, and as she glanced at one of group, she noted his right sleeve of his jumpsuit was pulled up a bit, reveling the edge of a tattoo she recognized as part of a underworld organization that had operated along the old Lor/Khanate boarder. Paradigm had been primarily focused on the Lor waiting to greet them, and with her enhanced vision, the area beyond him and the two large humanoids standing behind him. The Lor seemed a bit more nervous than he likely should have been, while the two larger humanoids were studying all the Praetorians carefully. Beyond the three, the Naram spotted two large hover vehicles parked nearby, both with two individuals visible in the front, focused on the Praetorians and their spacecraft…..
  21. Paradigm had taken no pleasure in having to subdue the Spectrum Knight leader in such a manner, but he had continued to refuse to surrender and fight. While the one that had kicked Star Knight Glort toward Bie Yie had escaped, they had captured the one who had delivered the killing blow. The Praetorian Imperatrix was pleased to see that the others had been able to detain many of the other Spectrum Knights while she had been out over the waters of the nearby ocean. The sight of the terrified families saddened her. Hopefully once they were back in Lor space, the families could be provided some sort of sanctuary to recover from their ordeal. Landing next to Traveller and Cavalier, Paradigm lowered the unconscious Bie Yie to the ground. "I am sorry for the loss of your fellow Space Knight. This is the one that delivered the killing stroke, but I am afraid the one that knocked Knight Glort off balance managed to escape."

At Thurde's loud promise of vengeance, several of those in the crowd once again shirked back, unsure about how safe it was to be near the towering woman with the gigantic axe. The experienced sailor held his ground, however, apparently confident she was not going to attack him. After the goddess swore her oath to locate whatever was terrorizing this and other nearby villages, she easily took to the air, leaving behind awed villagers. The sun was already starting to set as Thurde took to the air, flying out over the snow specked fields and hills around the village. Scattered around Ballstad were several small homesteads with spacious fields around them for livestock. While modern technology was present in some aspects of their lives, in many others the inhabitants of this village and the surrounding area still lived as their ancestors had for hundreds of years. For at least an hour Thurde flew over valleys and down near fields, looking for any sign of whatever it was that was attacking the livestock. But there seemed nothing out of place at the moment, several cows and sheep moving nervously away as her shadow passed over. Then, when the last rays of light had fade away to black, Thurde heard a loud piercing shriek echo down a valley somewhere ahead of her…

  24. Changing her direction and speed, Queenie started off toward the distant objects. It quickly proved a more difficult prospect than she initially anticipated, as whatever she was chasing was moving very quickly as well. But she appeared to be on a generally parallel course with them, so eventually began to close to where she could better make out what it was. In the distance were two spacecraft, one about the size of a small private airplane, although it was a bit more rectangular in shape, with some curves along the edges. Pursuing the first spacecraft was a much larger one, at least a hundred feet long. The second was generally teardrop shaped, having a sleek and smooth silver hull, with the point of the teardrop apparently the front of the spacecraft. As Queenie continued to close with the two vessels, the large teardrop shaped spacecraft fired another energy blast at the fleeing smaller one....
  25. Darn holidays/work keeping me busy. Okay, trying to get us back on track...due to the complications I have thrown out, I am giving everyone a HP. So, time to get out there and start walking.
