  1. Planet Rath Inner edge of the Perseus Arm October 16, 2015 (Terran Calendar) Under Ruby's expert guidance, the Voidrunner skimmed over the treetops of a vast forest on the planet Rath. Burst of bright red energy could be seen out the cockpit viewport, slicing past the star cruiser, one of the lower bursts blasting off the tops of a few trees. Things had started out as a simple bounty collection, the Void Runners following information on their mark to Rath. The locals had little interest in prevent the removal of a wanted criminal, and now the mark was secure in one of the Voidrunner's holding cells and everything seemed to be going according to plan. That was until the group had lifted off to depart Rath, and almost immediately come under fire from four starfighters of unknown design. Thus far, Ruby's attempts to outrun them had been unsuccessful. The Voidrunner shook as it took another glancing hit from one of the fighters, and several more misses streaked past...
  2. Okay, minor error in stats, Con should be 14 (which is how much you have paid for). Need to change the points spent on super senses to 2 (you list 5 in the powers total, but then only calculate as if it is 2). Also should change super senses to 2, not 5. Might also be helpful to note with your Vibration control that it is a 18 pp array, and you have 4 alternate powers.
  3. Well, for the moment, it would take a leap that would take two rounds to reach Tundra (assuming she hovered in the same place). As for grappling and using your stun-snap, you would have to initiate the grapple in one round, then could use the stun in another, as they are two distinct standard actions.
  4. Well, sort of. If you wanted to use your full Rank 10 of leaping, it will take you 6 rounds to reach your destination. That is, it will only take a move action to leap, but you won't reach where you are going for 6 rounds, and you cannot do anything to change your trajectory mid leap (least not without some other powers or other means).
  5. Well, here is the issue I see (something I should have taken into account last turn with you leaping out of the water in a move action, but my bag). To keep your leaps a single move action (as opposed to a full round action or more), you can only use Leaping 4 (x25 distance), which greatly reduces your leaping distance (and particularly vertical height. A running long jump would only be 250 feet, which is probably not enough to reach any of the police boats at the moment.
  6. Other people is fine, I just wanted to be sure I knew how to prepare. Any preferences on who else you might want to try to have involved?
  7. GM "It is difficult to say exactly what the ultimate goal is in wanting to kidnap Dr. Bhwarda." Agent Salazar admitted. "PanStar is not exactly a company I have much interest in assisting," Colonel Ellis began, "but this does provide an opportunity to capture four renegade agents which are an embarrassment. And who knows, in the process you all might be able to learn something that could help us link some of PanStar's dirty dealings to its chief executives." "As for the conduct of the mission, that is up to you. However, while we know they are going after Dr. Bhwarda during the conference, we do not know when, or where."
  8. Dee was frowning slightly as she listened to the rest of the briefing and the comments of her teammates. But she was much more active in the telepathic link she had established with the other Vanguard members. <PanStar certainly has had more than its share of illegal operations going on within its subsidiaries, but somehow the top executives manage to avoid being linked to any of it, and the company is able to brush aside the problems. While I was in Africa working on aid projects, news came out that PanStar's regional heavy construction division had caused a flood in Mozambique, using the disaster as a cover to attempt to kidnap several workers and locals who were placed in medically induced sleep aboard a freighter. What they were intending to do with the kidnapped people has never been publicly revealed.>
  9. Teriffica hmm? I can work on something. Were you wanting a solo thread? Or one with another PC or two?
  10. Members of the Horizon crew pulled back in surprise as Torpedo Lass landed on the stern of the icebreaker. When it became apparent that a superpowered battle was about to begin, they ran for cover. The blast of super-heated air struck Tundra squarely in the midsection, causing her to flinch in pain. But she quickly recovered from the powerful attack, maintaining her place on the smaller chunk of bolder as she flew over the Horizon, followed by a trail of smaller bits rubble. "It will take much more than that to stop me." The earth controller called out as she swept a hand down toward the aquatic heroine. Several of the smaller rocks following Tundra sped through the air towards Torpedo Lass, but she was able to dodge aside at the last minute, as the chunks of rock impacted on the deck behind her. The police boats out on the water now sounded their sirens, shouting orders to the kayakers still out in the path of the ice breaker to move out of the middle of the river and away from the battle.
  11. Tundra gets a 27 on her toughness save, so she picks up a bruise. Tundra will then try to return the favor, but miss with a 19 So, Round Three: 27 Torpedo Lass (unharmed, 2 HP) 21 Tundra (bruised)
  12. Amara could not help but smile slightly as Sitara arrived on the bridge, announcing that all systems were fully functional. Sitara was one of the more technically proficient members of the Praetorians, skills acquired through decades of travelling the galaxy before joining the Praetorians, and years spent as a member of the organization two thousand years ago. It had not taken Sitara and Mater Vyrdna long to get up to speed on the changes in technology that had occurred while the surviving Praetorians had been in suspended animation, and were key to the construction of the Praetorians' new headquarters. But the Naram quickly focused back on the mission at hand, continuing to run sensor sweeps as Aya piloted the Kavaca toward the distress signal. Like the Lor, Amara tensed slightly at the sight they found waiting for them at the source, but took a deep breath as she ran sensor scans over the two vessels. "The Communion was a integrated network." She responded as she performed the scans. "The mothership was the primary processor in this sector. Its destruction disrupted the network throughout the sector, and possibly beyond. Given that the Communion was transforming the worlds it conquered into additional computing storage, it would not be surprising for there to be backups somewhere."
  13. Stellar Classification: M3 (Red Giant) Number of Planets: 7 An inhabited system along the unclaimed expanse between the Lor Republic and the Stellar Khanate, the natives of the Parrin System are an advanced race that has long maintained neutrality between the two space powers. This neutrality allowed the Parrinians to trade and maintain diplomatic relations with powers. The system contains a number of shipyards and other services for passing ships from both the Republic and the Khanate. The system possesses nine planets that orbit a large red sun three times the size of Sol. The native Parrinians developed on the system's third planet. After developing spaceflight they went on to fully colonize the system's second and fourth planet as well as two moons orbiting the second planet. Smaller mining outposts exist on the first, sixth and seventh planets, as well as several of the moons throughout the system. Notable Places: The Solar Dawn, a casino located on a large space station positioned at the edge of an inner system asteroid belt that rings the system's large red sun. Status following Incursion: Unknown Threads: Getting There is Half the Fun
  14. Okay, Round Two: 27 Torpedo Las 21 Tundra TL will have landed in the water at the end of round one (which you can cover in your post)
  15. "Noble sentiment, but it fails to account for corporate greed and mankind's insatiable desire for oil." Tundra replied simply as Torpedo Lass tried to reason with her. "Talking will not change that ship's course, or prevent it from supplying the oil rigs that are destroying untouched natural areas." "So I am afraid I must continue with my goals, even if it means we will come to blows." She then added, as she brought her hands up in front of her and then swept them out to the sides. With Tundra's sudden gesture, the large bolder she and Torpedo Lass were standing on was torn apart, breaking into dozens of smaller chunks of rock. Tundra herself was still standing on a good sized chunk of the bolder, but Torpedo Lass suddenly found herself without any footing as the splintering rock was pulled out to the side. Unable to try to jump to our grab one of the smaller pieces of the bolder, the patriotic heroine suddenly found herself falling toward the river below, as Tundra and the pieces of the bolder flew on towards the Horizon.
  16. GM As the Devotion settled into normal space, the Praetorians gathered on the bridge saw a yellow sun sitting off in the distance at the center of the system. A small blue and green planet sat between them and the Dreeda star, hanging in the blackness of space like a multicolored pearl. The ancient Delaztri vessel's advanced sensors began sweeping the area around the Devotion, before focusing in on Dreeda III as Huhunu guided them toward the Lor colony. As they drew near, the marine glanced at the data being provided on another screen by the scans. "Sensors are picking up a vessel in sub-equatorial orbit around Dreeda III." Huhunu announced as he activated an enhanced viewing window within the main view screen for the bridge, which displayed the lower hemisphere of Dreeda III, with a small thin shape visible against the blue and green planet below. The enhanced image magnified a few more times, bringing the vessel more clearly into view. "It would appear we have located the Sar-lan."
  17. I will not make you make a toughness save for this fall into the water.
  18. Tundra rolls about as good as she can for 21. Round One: 27 Torpedo Lass 21 Tundra So, if you are still going with Torpedo Lass using her action to try to talk Tundra down, then Tundra is going to rip apart the large bolder into smaller pieces. So need a Reflex save for Torpedo Lass to try to grab a hold of an edge of the smaller part Tundra will remain on. I will say DC 20.
  19. GM ""nfortunately none of them have any particular weakness or vulnerabilities." Colonel Ellis replied to Ulysses' question. "But we were aware that Powerplay had a general dislike for Clansman and Flechette, and they viewed him the same way. Spartan is what holds the group together, possibly something that can be exploited." Agent Salazar responded to Angus' question about footage of the group. "We do have some training film, as well as some limited footage of them on assignments. We will of course provide that to you." "As for how we will be capturing them, we were getting to that." The Spanish agent continued. "In three days an international energy expo is being held in Dubai. Dozens of international corporations will be there to exhibit their products and R&D. The group has been hired to kidnap a lead scientist with one of those corporations." The images of the four rouge superagents vanished from the screens and on one of the screens, an image of a man in his late forties with dark complexion and hair appeared. "This is Prasad Bhwarda, the chief scientist of PanStar's alternative energy division."
  20. Unarchived at player request.
  21. So, probably initiative time.
  22. Now that Torpedo Lass was closer to the woman standing on the bolder, she could see the woman had short brunette hair, dark eyes and complexion, appearing to be in her early-thirties. The woman had not reacted when the patriotic hero had dropped down onto the bolder, but did fix her gaze on Torpedo Lass. "I am Tundra." She replied with a heavy French accent. "As for what I intend to do with this bolder, I plan to make sure that vessel never leaves this harbor. I would advise you not to try to stop me, but I suspect you will try to do so regardless."
  23. One of the passengers of the smaller Praetorian vessel was Paradigm, the current Imperatrix of the group. The Naram had come along on the mission so she and Sitara could observe Aya K'zan during a hopefully lower key mission. So far the Lor officer had proven a valuable addition to the Praetorians, providing investigation skills that were rather lacking among the remaining Praetorian members. The unique powers the Lor officer possessed allowed her to easily operate alongside against the other members against the threats they typically faced. And of course she and the Star Knight Cavalier provided the team with valuable knowledge and perspectives of the current galaxy. As Aya brought the Kavaca out of warp, Amara focused on the controls before her, triggering the vessel's long range sensors and comm system. It took only a few moments before the sensors located the signal they were responding to. "Yes, I have it." Amara replied. "Transferring the coordinates." She added, sending the telemetry to the helm station.
  24. Do you want us to make a roll to pick up the distress signal, or just state we are picking it up?
