  1. Amara listened to the comments by the various Praetorians who spoke up with thoughts and suggestions. All had merit, but some had the potential of leading them on a long chase throughout the quadrant looking for some information on the escapees. Given they had a somewhat recent sighting, the Naram did not want to go off looking for other possible leads and run the risk that recent lead went cold. "We may well wish to try to send out some of us covertly to see what we can learn." She finally stated. "But that will depend on how we start this investigation and what we find." Pausing a moment, Amara then continued. "Given the recent sighting of the Sar-Lan, I believe we should start at the Lor colony at Dreeda III to ensure it has not been attacked. If the escapees wanted to indulge in any of their needs, Dreeda III is a likely place for them to do so, by force or otherwise." "If there is no sign of them there, then we will reassess our options."
  2. Even as Wraith cut through half a dozen of the Communion antibodies, more appeared to take their places. Three moved toward the Kinigosi, their sharp claws slashing out at her. But Wraith was ready for their attacks, weaving and dodging, and managed to avoid all three. Bliss and Kharag also found themselves attacked by more antibodies, although each managed to avoid the attacks of those that came at them. But even as antibodies attacked the trio, more moved past them, heading across the courtyard toward the strange fog that had formed around the building where the relays the Lor technicians had identified were located. Kharag scowled as only a few antibodies came at him, most seeming to ignore him. Calling out a challenge toward those that had moved past, the alien launched a powerful strike at one of the nearest antibodies. But although the strike was well placed, the antibody withstood the attack with seemingly little effect.
  3. Sorry for letting this drag. Going to speed things up and forego rolls. The antibody goes down.
  4. Okay, to speed things up, I will forego the rolls. The Antibody goes down.
  5. Giang stood off to one side quietly as the show resumed. When Sunshine's assistant came over to her and the others, the Asian young woman turned her attention to the other young woman. Giang gave an appreciative smile but shook her head. "While I appreciate the offer, shopping for clothes will not be necessary." She replied. "Nor will transportation." She added, as s water spout came arching through the air toward her. "The address of where the party will be held and the time I should be there will be enough." Giang stated as she jumped nimbly onto the water that hovered in the air.
  6. San Diego, CA Del Mar Beach Giang Trang was crouched on a thick jet of water which flew through the air over the Pacific Ocean. The Asian young woman was wearing the costume she wore as Tsunami, a full body suit of morphic molecules covered in several shades of blue in a pattern that seemed to flow and shimmer like water. The effect was amplified by the thin sheen of protective water which flowed over her body. Down below people in the water and on the beach looked up, noting the heroine's passage. Although Giang had been operating as Tsunami here for close to a year, she was still a rare enough sight that it attracted a fair bit of attention. The beach was a familiar place for Giang, where she worked as a lifeguard. Today was supposed to have been her day off, and she had been planning to take care of some things in preparation for the arrival of several of her friends in a few weeks. But then there had been reports of unusual rifts appearing in the area, with one here at Del Mar Beach. The spot where the rift was on the beach was not too difficult to spot, a small clear space of sand, with a ring of people forming around it. Giang veered her water spout over toward the clearing, and a few moments later hopped gracefully off the spout to land near the tear in space. "Please move back." She stated in a calm but authoritative tone. "This could prove to be unstable, or a door to somewhere else." She added, moving a bit closer toward the tear to examine it more.
  7. Wildcat was able to move quietly enough across the rooftop, a feat made easier by the thick nature of the roof itself. Soon he was over by the other skylight, leaning as far forward as he dared to avoid being silhouetted by the moonlight. Looking down, the vigilante saw three men busy loading firearms into a open crate, packing around them white foam. Several other open crates were nearby, filled with a variety of electronics and other items. Shadows moving across the floor told Wildcat there were at least a few other people within the building as well.
  8. Unfortunately, you cannot raise Toughness just by spending a PP on it like the other saves. Even if you could, you have not spent any points on it, as I only see 11 pp spent on saves (4 for Fort, 3 for Reflex and 4 for Will), If you want "base" Toughness, you would need to increase your Con. I understand not wanting all your Toughness to be from your Forcefield. If you cannot find the points to increase your Con some, then another possible option would be to get 1 PP of equipment and use some of the EP to get a protective costume that increases Toughness. As for the Skill cap, the cap for a PL 7 is 12 ranks in a skill (the +4 from Attractive are considered ranks toward that cap). The bonus provided by stats then adds to the ranks, and are not part of the Skill cap. There is a separate cap for Stats, and for a PL 7 the max stat you could have is 34 (a +12 bonus). So, it would be possible for a PL 7 to have a skill that is +24 when ranks and bonuses are all taken into account.
  9. Okay, unfortunately there are still some problems Shoji, including one created by some of the changes you made. Combat: For your attack line, you should list your attack bonus with your array (+7 thanks to accurate). To keep things simpler, I would just give the array a name, like "Offensive Systems" or something. So the line would read: Attack: +5; +7 Offensive Systems. You need to list your flat-footed defense (which you accidently put down with your Reflex save) Saves: Here is the new problem you have created. Dropping your forcefield down to only 4 ranks, you Toughness would only be +4. With your Con a 10, you have no base Toughness, so not sure where you are getting 3 for a base. This puts you below your PL caps for Defense/Toughness, so this does need to be corrected. Skills are fine, though not sure what cap issues you had? (Your total ranks are capped at 12 (PL + 5), which Attractive is considered part of, but your stat bonuses can take you past +12 in a skill). Powers: A couple of issues here. For the Drone Swarm devices, need to indicated what the characteristics of Restricted 2 are. So for your attack powers, as I suggested above, you should probably give the array a name (like "Offensive Systems" or something). In addition, the cost is wrong, as you did not add in the cost of the alt powers, though you did list them. Total cost is 17 pp. I would write it like this: Offensive Systems 6 (14 point array; Feats: Alternate Powers 2; Accurate) {17pp} BP: Blast 7 (Drone Kinetic Bolt) AP: Stun 7 (Drone Ram) AP: Snare 7 (Drone Snare) So, because of the error in pricing the offensive systems array, you have overspent the points in the Drone Swarm device, you need to shave 2 pp somewhere (or shift 4 more pp into the device to give you 5 more pp if you want to bring your Forcefield back up to 7 to deal with the Toughness issue discussed above.)
  10. That is another bruise and a daze Lazer. Okay, I will say Wraith is able to catch 6 antibodies in her area, all of them miss their saves. The antibodies act, three more moving to attack Wraith: all missing. Two attack Bliss, missing as well. Two attack Kharag, also missing I will NPC Kharag, with him taking 10 on the two that attacked him, but the first makes its save with a 28, so Kharag does not get the second attack.
  11. While waiting for Foreshadow, go ahead and go with Coiled Lazer.
  12. Velocity sped through the hallways of the massive Communion spaceship, finding them mostly deserted as she went. What few antibodies there were in the halls, with more seeming to emerge from other areas as she moved further in, had little chance of coming anywhere close to catching the speedster as she moved at speeds many times the speed of sound. The yellow clad speedster ran toward the back of the spaceship, looking for anything that looked like a reactor or power core. Finally she found a large chamber with a tall glowing column within a forcefield that was over three stories tall. Over a dozen antibodies were in the room, overseeing the power core's operation. They had barely registered that Velocity had entered the room when the speedster was in the middle of the room, accelerating her speed just a fraction and hitting up against the sound barrier in such a way that she would trigger a powerful sonic boom. BOOM! The shockwave of the sonic boom washed out from the center of the room in all directions, but Velocity was already gone and back in another hallway. Antibodies were blasted apart by the shockwave, as control counsels and other more fragile systems were destroyed as well. The walls of the room took some damage, but held, as did the forcefield and the power core, although both were clearly suffering damage as well.
  13. Okay, going to try to get this wrapped up! Probably going to go light on rolls at this point. Round Thirteen 52 Velocity (bruised, 3 HP) 25 Fleur de Joie (bruised, dazed (round 12), 3 HP) 19 Gaian Knight (bruised, 2 HP) 14 Gabriel (bruised, 2 HP) 8 Antibody horde 7 Tiamat (bruised 2) 3 Comrade Frost (unharmed, 2 HP) Velocity will run to the back of the ship and set off her Sonic Boom near the power core at its highest area effect. The Communion ship gets a 24 for its toughness save vs DC 30, so is badly damaged. Lots of other systems are damaged or destroyed and antibodies taken out. Fleur is up if you want to remove the daze E!

  16. GM As Comrade Frost was busy at work planning to deal with the power surge and hopefully deal with as many of the Communion antibodies as well, Gabriel had moved over near the entrance to the reactor room. Seeing a pair of antibodies rushing down the hall toward the room, the white clad hero raised his spear and sent a forked sonic blast at the pair, knocking them both off their feet. "I hope you can hurry Frost!" He called back into the room. "Some of the Communion have gotten inside and are on their way here." Finishing his work, Frost opened the power relays of the reactor as much as he could, allowing all the power that had been building up inside the reactor to suddenly rush out into the station's systems. Sparks flashed throughout the room as several lights exploded from the surge, but the power continued on throughout the station, causing damage to various systems. But as much damage as the released power caused to the inside of the station, the effect was even greater along the exterior, as lightening arched from the open power relays the numerous antibodies had been working to alter. The blast of lightening tore through many of the gathered antibodies, causing them to collapse before they began to float away. Down in the reactor room, the remaining lights dimmed, as the reactor returned to normal power levels. Although many of the station's systems were damaged, for the moment they were no longer in danger of the reactor overloading and the station being turned into a weapon.
  17. A couple of things Shoji: First, Attractive does not add to your Intimidate or Gather Information skills. Attractive only adds to Bluff and Diplomacy. You have a typo in your Intimidate skill, it should be (+9), not (+19). You have also errors in listing your totals for Notice and Sense Motive, they should be (+5) for Notice and (+10) for Sense Motive. Also with your skills, I count 70 ranks, not 68, so you need to drop 2 skill points somewhere. For your attributes, I count 28 pp, not 27. For your combat, your defense is listed as +7, +4 base (which you have paid for) and +3 Shield. But I do not see the Shield power listed in your device. Her grapple should be +5, her base attack bonus. You have spent 18 pp on combat bonuses, but down on the bottom of the sheet only list 16 pp, you need to correct the total at the bottom of the sheet. For Saving throws, all your toughness is now from your Forcefield, so should change that. Also, the points spent do not match what you list for each save. You have 4 pts for Fort (as you have Con 10), have added +3 to Reflex and +4 to Will, that equals 11 pp spent on Saves, not 9. (you have correctly listed this at the bottom totals, just need to fix it up on the sheet) For your powers, please check some of the other character sheets to get an idea on how to format this better. You need to make it clear that all your powers are within the device. Also, you should list the devices rank (ie 6 ranks). Given the points you have spent (taking into account errors mentioned above) I total you having spent 108 pp, so you are 3 over.
  18. Sounds good to me Vahn.
  19. GM Although the Lor technicians could not understand what Ghost Girl was saying, they seemed to understand the urgency of getting their job done as quickly as they could while the others held off the Communion. The leader of the technicians wasted no time ordering his men to get to work, and they moved inside the building and began cutting their way through a wall to access the relays they were looking for. Meanwhile out in the plaza, the whine of more Communion needle fighters echoed down the canyons formed by the buildings in the area, as another pair came into site, streaking toward the battle. But the two fighters were focused on the figure in the air that had just dispatched the two previous fighters, both opening fire on Dragonid. While one blast went wide, exploding along the exterior of a nearby building, one of the Communion fighters found its target, and a blast of green energy struck the reptilian Praetorian.
  20. Round Three 26 Needle Fighters 21 Wraith (bruised 2, 2 HP) 16 Antibodies 16 Bliss (unharmed, 3 HP) 15 Kharag (bruise 2, 1 HP) 10 Ghost Girl (unharmed, 4 HP) 9 Dragonid (bruise, 1 HP) Another pair of needle fighters appear, flying over to attack Dragonid: 28 and 10, so a hit and a miss. DC 25 toughness save for Dragonid. Wraith is up!
  21. Paradigm saw Rock smash back out of the Communion cruiser she had thrown him out, which quickly exploded behind him after his exit. Even as he reappeared, other Communion ships flew by the large alien, attacking him as they passed. Paradigm flew back over next to Rock, to ensure he was alright and prepare to take him to another cruiser. The young Naram easily crossed the distance between them, weaving through wreckage and energy blasts from other Communion ships. As she came to a halt near Rock, the Praetorian turned back towards the nearest Communion cruiser, her yellow eyes flashing red as a beam of energy shot out towards the Communion ship. But her aim was not as good as it could have been, and the beam of energy glanced off the hull of the Communion vessel.
  22. GM Inside the UNISON building As Foreshadow took down the last of the antibodies in sight, Yama seemed to be focused on something far away a moment. The dark figure then turned to Foreshadow. "Whatever sorrow these things deserved happened when they were taken by the Communion, now they are little more than an extension of a whole." "The building is clear, for the moment. Would you prefer to remain here should others arrive, or return to the battle outside?" Up in the sky The number of Communion fighters had begun to thin given the number taken out by the gathered heroes and villains. Most of the mixed-nationality fighter planes that had come to defend the UNISON headquarters had expended all their missiles, and were now using their 20mm or 27mm cannons. Still flying up near the top of the dogfight, Radion turned his attention toward a needle fighter chasing after a German Typhoon. A beam of dark red energy fired from his eyes once more, striking the Communion fighter and ripping it apart to dust. But although their numbers were thinning, the Communion spacecraft still had enough to focus on what they clearly viewed as the primary threat, the heroes and villains in the air. Both Radion and Gremlin managed to dodge the blasts from needle fighters that came after them. Their younger charges were not quite as lucky. Both Iceflame and Avatar were hit by the blast of green energy from needle fighters. Iceflame was knocked off her flight path, clearly hurt and dazed by the attack. But Avatar managed to twist just in time that the blast that hit her was only a glancing one, and caused little damage. Both Young Britannia and Stella were targeted by needle fighters as well, both being hit by blasts of green energy. Stella winced in pain as she was hit, but she remained conscious and still in the fight, at least for the moment. The Italian heroine quickly turned and sent a beam of light at the needle fighter that attacked her, blasting it from the sky. Down on the ground Only a handful of needle fighters managed to slip past the aerial battle, a pair crashing to the ground on either side of the UNISON headquarters, immediately releasing the antibodies contained within as they did. As the steam began to clear around where Ulysses had dealt with the majority of the antibodies that had been threatening to swarm the defenders, the young man in the brown leather jacket looked around at the fallen antibodies as he gave a small smirk. "Not bad old man." He commented, before firing a blast of energy at one of the antibodies still standing. However, the Communion antibody withstood the attack, causing a frown to come to the young man's face. On the opposite side of the building, Stonewall swept one of his long arms at the two antibodies that were attacking him, hitting both of them, although only one was smashed apart.
  23. Round Eight 36 Yama (unharmed) 25 Radion (unharmed) 23 Needle Fighters 22 Stella d'Argento (staggered) 20 Target (bruised) 19 Stonewall (unharmed) 18 Foreshadow (bruised, 1 HP) 17 Avatar (bruised 2) 16 Coiled Lighting (bruised, 1 HP) 16 Iceflame (bruised) 16 Young Britannia (0 HP) 15 Gremlin (unharmed) 15 Black Diamond (unharmed) 13 Professor Chiron (bruised 3, dazed) 11 Synapse (unharmed, fatigued, 3 HP) 9 Darkbolt (unharmed) 7 Antibodies 1 Ulysses (bruised 4, 0 HP) Okay, Yama is going to hold. Radion will blast one of the needle fighters in the air (taking 10) and the fighter fails its save. With the needle fighters getting a bit thin, only one each will attack the various heroes and villains in the air. One misses Radion, another misses Gremlin. Iceflame is hit, and only gets a 17 on her toughness save, so is bruised and dazed. Avatar is hit as well, but she makes her toughness save. A needle fighter hits Young B (DC 25 toughness save Tiff). Another hits Stella, who only gets a 21 on her save, so picks up a bruise. Stella fires back (take 10), taking out the needle fighter. Target blasts at one of the antibodies that survived Ulysses attack (taking 10), but the antibody makes its toughness save. Stonewall attacks the two antibodies attacking him (taking 10) and one fails its save while the other makes it. And that brings us to Foreshadow!
  24. I am not sure I am following your reasoning there Shoji. Right now you have spent 27 pp on powers. That would be a Rank 6 device (which actually gives you 30 pp). If it was hard to lose, it only costs you 24 pp (saving you 3 pp for other things). As for the extra 3 pp in that device, you could buy another rank of flight, and add Accurate to your attack array (as right now you are not hitting PL 7 caps anyway)
  25. Argonaut is up HGM!
