  1. Okay, on to... Round Seven 36 Yama (unharmed) 25 Radion (unharmed) 23 Needle Fighters 22 Stella d'Argento (staggered) 20 Target (bruised) 19 Stonewall (unharmed) 18 Foreshadow (bruised, 1 HP) 17 Avatar (bruised 2) 16 Coiled Lighting (bruised, 1 HP) 16 Iceflame (bruised) 16 Young Britannia (0 HP) 15 Gremlin (unharmed) 15 Black Diamond (unharmed) 13 Professor Chiron (bruised 2, dazed) 11 Synapse (unharmed, fatigued, 3 HP) 9 Darkbolt (unharmed) 7 Antibodies 1 Ulysses (bruised 3, 0 HP) Yama moves further into the building and finds another group of antibodies, repeating what he did last round (Power Attack (-2/+2) and Taking 10 + Takedown): once again all four antibodies go down. Radion continues to target groups of approaching needle fighters, Taking 10 and this time catching 12 of them: only one makes its toughness save. Two needle fighters shoot at Radion once more: 10, 35, so one hit and a miss. Radion again easily makes his save. A fighter shoots at Iceflame, just hitting with a 19. Iceflame gets a 22 on her save and picks up a bruise. A fighter continues after Avatar, also hitting with a 19. Avatar gets a 21 on her save and picks up another bruise. A fighter shoots at Gremlin again, missing with a 15. One shoots at YB, missing with a 14. Stella, though hurt, gets back in the fight, firing a blast of energy at the needle fighter attacking Avatar, Taking 10 to hit. The fighter fails its save. Down on the ground, Target performs a kip up and fires a blast of energy at one of the antibodies attacking him, Taking 10 to hit. The antibody fails its save and goes down. Stonewall takes a couple long strides over to where an antibody is attacking Darkbolt (using accurate attack (-1/+1) and takes 10 to hit it. The antibody fails its roll and goes down. So, Foreshadow is up!
  2. Well, luckily there are lots of antibody groups to choose from. So, that is 15 five foot cubes. For simplicity sake, I will say she can catch 50 of them in that. Reflex save vs area effect: only one group of five is able to avoid the area effect. Refles save vs snare: none of the 45 caught in the area avoid the snare. (technically at least a few should only be ensnared, but they are minions, so we will just go with worst result). Go ahead and post, and Gaian is up!
  3. Kharag can easily leap down from the plateau without harm.
  4. Trying to listen for any sounds from within the building proved rather fruitless for Wildcat. Between the walls of the building and the other sounds in the city, he could not pick up anything fro the warehouse, at least not yet. making his way down to street level, the dark clad hero easily made his way through the shadows to the warehouse. Once there, it was a rather simple matter for Wildcat to climb up the walls with the various handholds and other exterior objects. Soon, he was moving along the dark roof of the building, finding a number of skylights spaced out across it. Moving to the nearest skylight, the hero saw light inside the main area of the warehouse, a few shadows moving across the ground from figures just out of his field of vision.
  5. No, that roll really does not help with hearing much through the walls.
  6. Okay, not much for the Elite pirates at the moment, so, Dragonid is up lazer!
  7. Paradigm will move over to Rock, and use her heat vision on a nearby ship. She gets a 15. If that hits, DC 30 toughness save for the ship.
  8. Velocity took a few brief moments to taken in the situation inside the former hanger (and for those few moments were a long time indeed). Between herself, Gaian and Tiamat (now in her impressive dragon form), they had cleared the immediate area near the portal, and the speedster had little doubt they could continue to keep it clear given they were together and fighting in the Communion in a large open area where they did not really care about causing collateral damage. But even then it would just be a matter of holding off a tide, while not doing anything about the Communion ship in general. So, she decided that she could probably afford to move beyond the hanger and see about causing some damage. Of course, she would help clear out some more antibodies along the way. "I am going to move further in and see about causing some damage to the ship." Velocity said to the others. "Just let me know if you need me back here or we have to get back through." With that, she was moving, another blur of yellow. Weaving through the groups of antibodies, the speedster came to the center of a mass that was rushing toward the portal, and her teammates. Suddenly the blur of yellow seemed to be nearly everywhere at once in a large area in the center of the antibodies. Over a hundred mini-sonic booms echoed almost one on top of another as Velocity delivered hypersonic punch after punch. In moments, over a hundred antibodies were smashed, flying outward through the hanger, many slamming into other antibodies beyond where Velocity had delivered her attacks, though only a few of those additional antibodies were taken out. But the speedster was already gone, having exited the hanger as she sped through the hallways and further into the massive ship, looking for a good place to start causing some significant damage. Over on the Lighthouse. The technicians up in the command center were fervently working try to get as many systems as they could back online now that power had been resorted. Of course, they were monitoring the power build up in the reactor. The supervisor activated the internal comm. "Comrade Frost, we are monitoring the situation as best we can from up here. Is there anything we can do to assist you?"
  9. Okay, going to move us onward as Frost works on redirecting the power build up in the reactor. (Go ahead and post when you can AA) Round Twelve 52 Velocity (bruised, 4 HP) 25 Fleur de Joie (bruised, 3 HP) 19 Gaian Knight (bruised, 2 HP) 14 Gabriel (bruised, 2 HP) 10 Boarding party 9 (4 left) 8 Antibody horde 7 Tiamat (bruised 2) 3 Comrade Frost (unharmed, 2 HP) Velocity will spend a HP to remove fatigue and then move forward and unleash her targeted AoE in the middle of a mass of antibodies. Power Attack (-5 atk/+5 dam); Defensive Attack (-4 atk/+4 def). I will say she catches 120 in the attack: Saves vs DC 30: not a single group of five made their saves. Given the knockback, I will say Velocity catches another 40 with flying antibodies, they have a DC 22 toughness save: only 15 fail that save. Velocity will then continue further into the ship.
  10. The needle fighter gets a 25 for a toughness save, close, but not close enough.
  11. Okay, I'll say Ulysses can get to three antibodies, they all fail their toughness saves.
  12. Okay Lazer, Dragonid is up!
  13. As the group gathered in the conference room at the back of the upper deck, Paradigm listened as several offered options on tactics for fighting their opponents and tracking them down were offered. "It certainly does seem advisable to try to use every advantage we can in facing them." The Naram offered in response to Cavalier's suggesting of having as many of the Praetorians airborne as possible. "I cannot promise we will have much opportunity to choose our battlefield, but any potential tactics that we may wish to consider are certainly welcome." As the discussion turned to the first task of actually finding this group, Paradigm listened to a few of the suggestions and then responded. "I would suspect that if the Lor had any reports of criminal activity that could be attributed to any of the escapees would have been included in the information provided us. Although, it could be that in the wake of the war against the Communion, such reports could have been overlooked. Perhaps Officer K'zan can obtain such reports for us to review?" The young Narma stated, looked over at Corona. She then looked over to Huhunu as the marine offered another suggestion for trying to hunt down the criminals. "I am afraid that such an investigation may be far too time consuming. Do not forget, the front line against the Communion stretched hundreds of parsecs within the Republic. The information we have been provided gives us the most logical starting point for our investigation, a believed sighting of the Sar-lan in a system near the edge of the Republic, and an area currently in a long-range communications blackout. At the very least, we should start our investigation to ensure the colony and two mining facilities in that region are safe."
  14. Round Six 28 Huhunu (unharmed, 1 HP) 21 Elite pirates (3 in valley bruised) 19 Dragonid (unharmed, 1 HP) 19 Kharag (unharmed, 2 HP) 19 Tough pirates (2 fighting Paradigm: 1 bruised and dazed) 17 Paradigm (unharmed, 2 HP) 16 Energy Controller (bruised) 13 Traveller (unharmed, 1 HP) 11 Moon Moth (unharmed, 3 HP) 8 Telekinetic (unharmed) 7 Seresk (bruised) 2 Average pirates Huhunu is up Mad!
  15. GM With the plateau he was on all but clear of pirates, Seresk turned his attention to the valley below. The reptilian Praetorian leapt into the air, falling down into the valley below like a meteor. The hulking figure landed on one of the pirate's fighters that was being prepped for launch, causing a bit of damage to the vehicle, but not completely crippling it. With Paradigm still in melee with one of the large pirates, the group of pirates with heavy weapons that had been taking aim at the Naram shifted their attention to the newly arrived Seresk. Four pirates opened fire with their standard blasters, but not with any goal of actually hitting the Praetorian, instead trying to help their allies with two heavy blasters target the larger figure. The pair of pirates wielding the heavy blasters opened fire on Seresk, the first somehow missing the large figure, while the second managed to score a direct hit. Seresk felt the blast, which managed to hurt him, even through his thick scaly hide. But the injury was far from sever, as the Praetorian shifted his attention to the pirates with the heavy weapons. Another group of pirates took aim at the glowing Praetorian hovering in the air in the valley. Another four opened fire with their blasters, once again trying to assist their companions with the heavy weapons in hitting the glowing target. As had happened with Seresk, only one of the pirates with a heavy blaster managed to his the Praetorian, the powerful blast managing to hurt her some, but again failing to completely remove her from the fight.
  16. Okay, going to move forward for the moment Ex, you can post whenever you can for Moon Moth. The TK Praetorian with the stealth group is going to hold for the moment. Seresk will jump down into the canyon between the plateaus, landing on one of the pirate fighters, the fighter gets a 25 on its toughness save and is damaged, but still operable. There are no more pirates up on the plateau where Kharag and Dragonid are, so they do not get attacked this round. Down in the valley, 4 pirates with heavy weapons open fire on Seresk and the energy controlling Praetorian (2 shooting at each), with another 8 pirates (2 for each heavy weapon) using aid other with their blasters. Aid other checks: 21, 25, 22, 17, 23, 6, 8, 17, so almost all make it. So the two heavy weapons attacking Seresk get +4 on their rolls, while the 2 attacking the energy controller only get +2. Attack Rolls: 12, 27, 12, 24, so one attach hits each Praetorian. Seresk's toughness save vs DC 23 22, so he picks up a bruise. Energy Controller's toughness save vs DC 23: also 22, so she is bruised as well.
  17. With the decision made to go and check out the warehouse, the police officers taking the thieves into custody indicated they would call in a report on the warehouse and get some squad cars there to provide some backup, in case it turned out to be more than just a coincidence. The four heroes then set off toward the waterfront, covering the dozens of blocks quickly. The area around the warehouse in question was quite, and rather dark given a number of streetlights in the area were burned out (or simply purposely broken). At first glance, the old South River Storage and Shipping warehouse was what one would expect, somewhat run down, with all visible windows boarded up and the doors all shut up tight. But, its apparent deserted and shut down appearance did not explain where there was a sedan and dark van parked in the shadows behind the building.
  18. Okay, while we wait for Giz to post, go ahead and go with Dargonid Lazer!
  19. GM Back outside, the dark clad man near Coiled Lightning and the tall Russian once again began to be surrounded by flashes of electricity as he lifted up his hands and calmly stared down the more than a dozen antibodies that were rushing toward the trio. The, blots of electricity shot out from his hands once more, lancing through the night sky and arcing through the charging Communion forces. Nearly all of the antibodies jerked upright as the bolts of electricity tore through them, sending all but one flying backward to land motionless on the ground, their metallic bodies smoking. That last antibody rushed forward toward the dark clad man, lashing out with its claws as it closed. However, the claws were turned away by an electrical field that surrounded the man. Even as Professor Chiron finished telling Synapse to hold off on unleashing her mental attack against the Communion, the Greek hero found himself beset by a pair of the creatures. The cybernetic hero managed to dodge the first attack, but he was unable to avoid the second, the antibody’s wicked claws raking along Professor Chiron’s left side and casing him to stagger slightly as he was dazed by the attack. A trio of antibodies attacked the woman who had been helping Ulysses, two of the creatures managing to connect with the woman. However, as they hit, there was a faint glow around the woman, as she seemingly ignored the attack with no ill effects. Another antibody had directly attacked the young man who was on the ground. But even having just recovered from the prior attack which had injured him, the young man managed to roll away from the antibody's attack.
  20. Darkbolt sends out another at the group of antibodies closing with him, Coiled and Stonewall, power attack (-2/+2) and taking 10 to hit. This time he catches 15 of them, and only one makes its save. That last remaining antibody rushed toward Darkbolt, hitting with a 24, but Darkbolt easily makes his toughness save. On the other side two antibodies attack Professor Chiron, 11 and 20 so a miss and a hit, the Professor gets a 16 on his toughness save, so bruised and dazed. Three antibodies attack Black Diamond, 27, 23 and 12, so two hits, but her Impervious soaks it up. Another antibody attack Target, missing with a 18. Ulysses is up Ex!
  21. Yeah, even Colonel Ellis is willing to give them a pass for tonight so long as they continue smashing Communion forces. Synapse replied to Foreshadow's comment over the mental link about accepting help from the villains that had appeared. The Englishwoman continued to observe the various monitors in the command center, trying to keep track of all the various fronts of the battle. Hearing Professor Chiron’' mental comment, the young woman looked over toward the screens showing that side of the building, noting how many antibodies there were approaching the defenders, several of whom were not in the best shape. Well, I can probably get in a couple more of those mental blasts to try to cut down the numbers some. No, not yet. The Professor replied. Save those for if things get really desperate. Although she was somewhat skeptical that things were not already reaching that point out there, Synapse accepted the Greek hero's request, remaining inactive for the moment as she continued to try to focus herself for when she did need to fully unleash her psychic powers.
  22. GM The reptilian appearing woman identified as Gremlin flew over toward the needle fighter that had attacked the white winged woman. Closing quickly, Gremlin lashed out with her claws, but the needle fighter pulled away just in time, causing Gremlin’s claws to rake harmlessly across the fighter's hull. Down on the ground, the woman that had come to Ulysses' aid glanced back at the young man who had been injured by one of the Communion. "Darn it kid." She muttered under her breath before leaping back over to the downed fighter and smashing the antibody that was preparing to try to finish him off as she landed. "You okay?" She said, taking up a defensive position near the hurt young man. Professor Chiron slammed a metal clad fist into the antibody that was attacking him, smashing its chest inward and sending it down to the ground. We are still rather outnumbered over here at the moment. He indicated over the mental network Syanpse was maintaining as he eyed the mass of antibodies that were moving in toward the defenders.
  23. Gremlin moves to attack another needle fighter, taking 10, but the needle fighter makes its toughness save. Black Diamond moves over to attack the antibody attacking Target, taking 10 to hit, the antibody fails its toughness save. Professor Chiron attacks the antibody on him, taking 10, that one goes down as well.
  24. "Just Paradigm is fine Huhunu." Amara stated as the Ipukarea reported they were ready to engage the Devotion's hyperdrive. "We are no longer a part of an Empire, with its hierarchies and protocols. We only have each other, and while I may be Imperatrix, it is only because I was elected such by the group." Pausing a moment, the young Naram then added. "Alright, let us get underway to find these criminals and put them back where they belong." One the hyderdrive was engaged, Paradigm remained on the bridge for a short while longer, insuring that everything was running smoothly before she activated the ship wide comm. system on the arm of her chair. "Traveller, Moon Moth, Cavalier and Officer K'zan, please join me in the upper level conference room." Switching off the comm., she then spoke to the Praetorians gathered on the bridge. "Time to begin discussing how we should begin our search." She said as she stood and made her way off the bridge and toward the conference room that sat at the back of the upper deck of the Devotion.
