  1. Rob, Kharag is able to get over to two of the pirates, both miss their toughness saves and go down.
  2. Yes, trying to coordinate a large group is difficult, but the idea with the Praetorians is not exactly to have them all in a thread together most of the time. I figure Vahn is probably working under the same idea here, have a larger group of associates making it easier for some to be in a thread together, with maybe an occasional story that brings them all together. Anyway, I would offer Tsunami for this, as she is not doing much right now, but also because Time falls under the Water phase of the Wu Xing, which is the basis of her powers (she currently has Time Stop as a alt power in her array).
  3. Professor Chiron will fire up at another needle fighter, taking 10 to hit. It explodes as it misses its toughness save. Synapse holds. The antibodies start rushing out of the landed fighters. As some approach Foreshadow and Coiled, they can us their held actions. Same for Ulysses from last round. Four antibodies are coming toward Foreshadow and Coiled, the same number are coming toward Ulysses and Professor Chiron.
  4. Okay, will say you are able to line up four pirates in the attack. They all miss their reflex saves and miss their toughness saves as well. Kharag is up Rob!
  5. The ooc for this thread, for when we need it.
  6. Okay, here is our post-Incursion thread! For the moment only Tiff, TT, Rav and my character are in the scene (Vahn, maybe Mater Vyrdna is in the command center as well overseeing the installation of equipment) I will be moving to get everyone evolved soon enough! Sorus, Hestina, if you two can get your characters up soon enough, we can get them into the thread as well!
  7. Amara Val-Ren had been feeling a bit weary. Although the Communion had been defeated, the immediate aftermath had not been lacking in opportunities for her and her fellow Praetorians to assist those who were still feeling the effects of the Communion incursion. Even beyond the various efforts to offer assistance to those worlds in need, there was the decision to establish a more permanent headquarters for the group, so they could more easily continue to carry on such missions. Even with the substantial help of the Lor and other worlds, there had still be much to be done. As the construction went on around her, Amara had been meeting with Elite, Sitara and Kyle Steward, the Star Knight Cavalier, who was the Star Knights' representative to the Praetorians, the four discussing the progress on the construction as well as establishing possible patrol routes through various sectors, to help assist the weakened Star Knights as the order worked to replenish its ranks. At the sound of Seresk's voice, the young Naram turned to regard the Lor officers, given a small nod in greeting. "Greetings Commander E'tten, Aya K'zan. I am Amara Val-Ren, also known as Paradigm, current Imperatrix of the Praetorians. What is it I may do for you and the Republic?"
  8. Kestevan 79 GM A pair of Lor officers made their way into the new headquarters of the ancient alien group known as the Praetorians. The space was still very much under construction and being refurbished, with a number of Lor technicians assisting in the process. But these two Lor officers were not there to oversee assisting the Praetorians in establishing their new facility. Instead they were there on behalf of the Republic to request the assistance of the Praetorians. With the Communion stopped, some semblance of normalcy had returned to this sector of the universe, and that had allowed the Republic to return its attentions to several matters that had been unattended when stopping the Communion had been of utmost importance. But even now the Republic did not have sufficient resources to deal with all the problems at hand. As the pair moved down the corridor, a larger hulking reptilian humanoid moved over toward them. The figure towered just over eight feet tall, covered in green and brown scales, with a long tail that ended in a spiked ball. "Greetings officers," the reptilian humanoid stated in accented GalStandard, "I am Seresk, may I be of assistance?" "Greetings Praetorian Seresk, I am Commander E'tten of the Lor Star Navy, and this is Aya K'zan from the Allied Liaison/Intelligence Extra-National Service." The male Lor stated in response. "We are here to speak with Praetorian Val-Ren about a matter in which the Republic wishes to request the assistance of the Praetorians." The large reptilian alien gave a small nod. "Please, follow me." It replied before turning and leading the pair off down the corridor. A short while later, the trio arrived at the central command center of the headquarters, a larger circular dome shaped room with a number of other exits. Like most of the rest of the facility, it was still undergoing significant renovations and work, a number of Praetorians and technicians working on installing various systems along the room's walls. In the center of the room was a larger holographic system capable of displaying and tracking information for multiple units and locations. Gathered around the holo display were four individuals, currently in conversation about the progress of renovations for the facility. One was a humanoid female, slightly over average height for a Lor or Terran, with long black and purple hair and dark orange skin. She was dressed in a full length white bodysuit, with black diamond shapes surrounded by golden yellow trim on the shoulders, upper chest and back. Her black boots and gloves also has the golden yellow trim, and a long black cape trailed behind her. It was not hard to match her appearance to the reports about Paradigm that had circulated among the Coalition forces during the Communion incursion. Two of the other three were also female, one, dressed in a red jumpsuit, appeared to be Terran, with long black hair and a deep tan complexion. The other woman, who also resembled a Terran, had long dark blonde hair and was dressed in a blue and white military style uniform. The crisp and perfect uniform, as well as the woman's stern, commanding presence, left little doubt that she had at least once been in the military. She had a jagged scar along one eye, and her left arm was a sleek, mechanical replacement. The fourth figure was dressed in familiar armor of a Star Knight, his armor bright green in its coloring. The Star Knight's helmet was currently not deployed, reveling a Terran who was easily recognizable as Star Knight Kyle Steward, also known as Cavalier. "Excuse me Imperatrix," Seresk stated as he lead the two Lor forward into the room and towards the four gathered in the center, "may I introduce Commander E'tten of the Lor Star Navy, and Aya K'zan from the Allied Liaison/Intelligence Extra-National Service, here on behalf of the Lor Republic."
  9. Mad, scanning the entrance of the cave, Huhunu see no traps or sensors of any kind. Dragonid is up lazer.
  10. GM Seresk regarded the pirate heavy weapon coldly as it tried to blast his new teammate out of the sky. The massive reptilian Praetorian whirled his long spiked tail around behind him, before whipping it around once more to strike the heavy weapon. This time the blow as solid, crumpling in the side of the weapon and breaking it off its support column. The heavy blaster cannon crashed two the ground, smoking and clearly out of the rest of this fight. Meanwhile the various pirates were at a loss on what to do without their heavy weapons. Those that were over on the plateau with Seresk and the glowing woman providing air cover turned and started running toward a makeshift stairway that would lead them back down into the valley below the two plateaus. Those on the other plateau turned their attentions on Kharag and Dragonid, opening fire on the pair. One pirate managed to hit Kharag, while both of the pair that fired on Dragonid managed to score hits.
  11. Seresk will try to hit the heavy weapon once again, hitting with a 15. The weapon gets a 13 on its toughness save, so it is scrap now as well. A pair of pirates fires on Kharag: 23 and 15, so once again a hit (DC 20 toughness save) and a miss. Another pair shoots at Dragonid: 20 and 20, that is two hits, both DC 20 toughness saves. Then we are at: Round Four 28 Huhunu (unharmed, 1 HP) 19 Dragonid (unharmed, 1 HP) 19 Kharag (unharmed, 2 HP) 17 Paradigm (unharmed, 2 HP) 16 Energy Controller (unharmed) 13 Traveller (unharmed, 1 HP) 11 Moon Moth (unharmed, 3 HP) 8 Telekinetic (unharmed) 7 Seresk (unharmed) 2 Average pirates Mad, Huhunu is up!
  12. Okay, lazer, Coiled is up! (and Tiff, feel free to post for YB)
  13. "This would be them." The officer replied to Wildcat as he caught the bag of jewelry and gems the hero tossed over. Then he gave the hero a small grin. "Unfortunately they never seem to learn." Neither Wildcat nor Skaere picked up any unusual scents from the matchbook, only that of one of the crooks and what one would expect from a book of matches. But as Skaere examined it, the name on the outside cover seemed familiar. After a few moments, the werewolf was rather certain that she had heard it was the name for a shipping company that had shut down a couple years ago after failing some Board of Health inspection. But the book of matches was brand new, with only a couple of matches missing. The address on the outside cover was for a place somewhere down near the waterfront.
  14. GM With the new wave of Communion fighters streaking down from the dark sky, Professor Chiron aimed the weapons pods on the flanks of his cybernetic horse body toward the sky, opening fire at the needle like spacecraft once more. Another of the Communion ships exploded in a bright flash from the blast, joined by nearly a dozen more as the allied fighter jets scored more hits with their rapidly dwindling supply of missiles. But there were still many more of the Communion spacecraft, some breaking off to try to engage the air defenders, a few more allied fighter planes exploding after being struck by the blasts of green energy. Stella and Young Britannia managed to once again dodge attacks fired at them, as Stella blasted another needle fighter out of the sky. But over half a dozen more of the Communion ships sped past the aerial dogfight. Four of them slammed into the grounds around the UNISON building, splitting open to revel the Communion antibodies riding within. But a pair of the needle fighters actually crashed into the upper floors of the UNISON building itself, disappearing from the sight of the defenders as glass and debris rained down in some places.
  15. Professor Chiron will fire up at one of the needle fighters, Taking 10 to hit and the needle fighter misses its toughness save and explodes. Synapse is holding, and I assume Ulysses will be as well (you can put a post in Ex, or let me know if you want to try to do something). Meanwhile, Round Two 23 Needle Fighters 22 Stella d'Argento (unharmed) 18 Foreshadow (bruised, 1 HP) 16 Coiled Lighting (1 HP) 16 Young Britannia (2 HP) 13 Professor Chiron (bruised) 11 Synapse (unharmed, fatigued, 3 HP) 7 Antibodies 1 Ulysses (bruised, 1 HP) Needle fighters will shoot at Stella and YB once again, both miss the two with 14’s. Other needle fighters plunge down onto the ground, a few crashing into the UNISON building itself. Stella blasts another (Taking 10), which is destroyed! Foreshadow is up! Tiff, you can probably go with YB now as well.
  16. Having finished changing into her costume, Giang surrounded herself with a thin, shimmering sheen of water as she reached out with one hand toward the water of a nearby pond. A spout of water rose up from the pond, snaking through the air toward the Asian teenager, who gracefully jumped onto the water spout, which then lifted higher up into the air as it carried Giang over toward the stage. There the young woman found two other heroes already on the scene and trying to stop the plant woman. One Giang recognized, Ulysses, a steam powered hero she had worked with in upstate New York a little over a year ago. The other was a younger teenager whom she did not recognize. Moving close to the stage, Giang focused her attention on the plant woman who had started all of this. "I am afraid you leave us little choice." She stated aloud as she brought her hands up in front of her. A blast of twisting coils of water shot out from the Asian teen's hands, streaking toward the plant woman to hit her squarely in the chest. The force of the blast was powerful enough that it knocked the plant woman off her feet, sending her flying backward almost ten meters before she landed on the ground, dazed.
  17. She will not run into anything on her way toward Gaian. AA, Frost is up next!
  18. The only conscious crook remained silent as Coiled Lightning tried to goad him into talking, not trying to put up any sort of resistance as one of the police officers came over to cuff him. For his part, the officer did not seem to be in a great hurry to move the crook into a squad car, apparently wanting to give Coiled Lightning as much of an opportunity to interrogate the criminal as possible. Looking into the back of the suspects' car, it only took Wildcat a moment to spot the small duffle bag that turned out to be stuffed with a number of smaller bags holding gems stones and expensive jewelry. The search also turned up a book of matches from South River Storage and Shipping.
  19. Okay, planning to move this forward tonight. Please try to post before then.
  20. It would be a Notice check Goose.
  21. Let's try to keep moving with this everyone.
  22. Okay, need to keep this moving! Fox, you might as well go with Tiamat while we wait for KD.
  23. GM Stella gave a small smile and then lifted back up into the air toward were Young Britannia was still hovering. The two light wielding heroines both healed themselves just as the next wave of Communion needle fighters came into view. The Communion spacecraft wasted no time in taking the initiative, opening fire with the green energy that crackled along their hulls. The blasts streaked through the night sky, a few of the allied aircraft exploding as they were stuck by the attacks. Two others narrowly missed both Young Britannia and Stella, while others struck the area around the UNISON headquarters and the building itself, sending bits of debris flying in various directions and causing some of the UNISON guards to scatter for cover. Stella wasted no time in returning fire, sending a blast of light up toward the needle fighter that had just shot at her. The blast hit the Communion ship dead center, causing it to explode in a small ball of flame. But still dozens more were streaking downward toward the UNISON headquarters.
  24. Well Tiff, you do have the Healing power, so you can easily cure both bruised conditions on YB. And with that, I will keep everyone’s initiative rolls and reroll for the bad guys… Round One 23 Needle Fighters 22 Stella d'Argento (unharmed) 18 Foreshadow (bruised, 1 HP) 16 Coiled Lighting (1 HP) 16 Young Britannia (2 HP) 13 Professor Chiron (bruised) 11 Synapse (unharmed, fatigued, 3 HP) 1 Ulysses (bruised, 1 HP) One of the needle fighters fires at YB, missing. Another fires at Stella, just missing with a 20. Stella returns fire on the one that shot at her, taking 10. It just misses its toughness save (vs DC 27) and explodes. Foreshadow and Coiled are up, although not much for them to do right now. Tiff, you might as well take an action for YB now as well.
