The man's words caught Giang slightly by surprise. It was an incredible coincidence that this messenger had found his way accidently to her, although she had long learned that such coincidence seemed to follow people like her around more often than normal. "Calm yourself." She stated as she continued her work at dressing his injuries, even as she calmed herself to the task at hand. "You may not have intended to arrive her, but your journey is not in vain. I know Lord Zandar and his family well, and have visited your world twice in the past. Tell me, what has happened, and how can we make our way back?"

Okay, the thug Coiled has pinned is going to try to escape, but not likely with a 10 for his grapple check. The other thug is just running.

If Paradigm was concerned about the possibility that Rock might tip over onto her, she did not show it. But then, the Naram weighed far more than she appeared herself. While she herself did not need transport to travel through space, it would make transporting Star Kahn easier, not to mention the others. While she had little doubt of their durability, she was not sure how they might hold up for such a journey. "We will be ready. I trust you have means for transporting a prisoner, as we have defeated Star Kahn." Paradigm responded as she glanced back over at the unconscious form of the tyrant.

Okay, so let me know any actions you might want to take before the action picks up again. Stella healed Coiled Lightning, so he is no longer Staggered (the bonus on her Healing is high enough that no roll was necessary)

Inside the control room of the UNISON headquarters, Synapse was still seated with her legs crossed on one of the desks, her eyes closed in concentration as she felt exhaustion wash over her after exerting herself as she had to stop the Communion ground forces. As she could hear from the reports of the technicians manning the various stations around her, it was only a temporary respite, as more of the Communion needle fighters were on their way even now. Resisting the urge to just fall asleep, the Englishwoman reached out with her mind once more to the area around the building, finding the minds of her teammates and their allies once again. Don't get too complacent. More of the buggers are on the way now. She relayed into everyone's mind. That last stunt took quite a bit out of me, but I think I can manage one or two more attempts once more of them are here. For now, I can keep us connected as long as you lot stay within three hundred meters or so of the headquarters.

GM With the tide of enemy momentarily halted, and Young Britannia recovered from the needle fighter attack, Stella flew back down to the ground, where UNISON medics had come out to help move some of the soldiers too injured to continue fighting. Others made do with a few bandages as they did their best to reinforce their positions. Up in the sky, the gathered fighter aircraft fanned out in a wide radius around the UNISON headquarters, ready to intercept the next wave of approaching Communion fighters. How long they could continue to engage the enemy was a bit of an issue, as they were starting to run low on missiles. Seeing Coiled Lightning struggling some to remain on his feet, Stella glided over to land near him and Foreshadow. "You look like you can use some assistance friend." The Italian heroine stated as she gently placed her hand on Coiled Lightning's right shoulder. A warm glow surrounded the hero, as he felt a refreshing light wash over him, removing his pain and fatigue in mere moments. When the glow subsided, he felt as good as new.

That is a good roll, the Antibodies would have little chance of hiding, BUT, two roll: 21 and 22 on their Stealth checks! Given the penalties for range, that is just enough for them to be hidden as Gaian flies by and they leap out to attack…. They get 28 and 24 on their attack rolls, so both hit! DC 25 Fort saves for Gaian.

Paradigm scarcely felt the blast that had managed to hit her, the enhancement process she had undergone making her able to resist far more powerful attacks with relative ease. So far they seemed to be doing well, dealing with the pirates and taking out at least half of the heavy weapons. But the Naram felt they had likely been lucky that the blast from the heavy weapon that had hit Seresk had not caused the reptilian creature harm. If they did not hurry, it would only be a matter of time before one of them did get hurt. Turning back to regard the last heavy weapon near her and seeing it resist Dragonid's powerful flames, the purple and black haired Praetorian flew down over toward the weapon, swinging a powerful fist at the main assembly. The blow struck solidly, the force of the blow shattering the metal at the point of impact and sending shockwaves through the rest of the weapon, causing it to break apart and collapse in a useless heap of scrap.

Paradigm will move over to the heavy weapon Dragonid just tried to burn, hitting with a 20. The weapon has a DC 36 toughness save thanks to her Str and Superstrength: it only gets a 15 so it is destroyed!

Both fail spectacularly and go down hard.

Okay, I will say three pirates are caught in the line, they all miss their Reflex saves. And they miss their Toughness saves (though one came close), so they are all down. The heavy weapon cannot dodge the line, so just makes a Toughness save: 27, so it resists the attack. Kharag is up next Rob!

Round Three 28 Huhunu (unharmed, 1 HP) 19 Dragonid (unharmed, 1 HP) 19 Kharag (unharmed, 2 HP) 17 Paradigm (unharmed, 2 HP) 16 Energy Controller (unharmed) 13 Traveller (unharmed, 1 HP) 11 Moon Moth (unharmed, 3 HP) 8 Telekinetic (unharmed) 7 Seresk (unharmed) 2 Average pirates Mad, so Huhunu is not just standing around waiting, we will say your last action was the start of this round. So, Dragonid is up!
-
GM As Moon Moth scouted ahead and Huhunu vanished from sight, the telekinetic Praetorian who made up the fourth member of the stealth team remained near Traveller, ready to follow her lead as they moved. Up above on the plateaus, the sounds of battle continued to ring out as Seresk moved over toward the last remaining heavy weapon emplacement near him. Once again the spiked tail of the massive reptilian Praetorian whipped around, slamming into the side of the weapon. But this time the blow was only a glancing one, causing only a bit more damage to the weapon. With Seresk now too close to effectively use the weapon against him, the pirates manning the weapon aimed it up into the air at the glowing Praetorian that had blasted the weapon a few moments earlier, trusting that the other pirates on the ground would be able to do something to stop or slow down the massive figure. The powerful beam of energy lanced into the air, but the energy controlling Praetorian was too quick for it to accurately track, and the blast passed well behind her. Over on the other plateau, the last operational heavy weapon there once again fired at Paradigm. But as before, its powerful blast missed the caped Praetorian, and streaked harmlessly off into the sky. Although their heavy weapons were proving ineffective against the force now in close combat with them, there were still a number of pirates around the weapons who tried to dispatch their attackers. Multiple pirates fired on each of the Praetorians, in some cases hoping that numbers would allow at least one to score a hit, in others trying to combined their fire against the more resilient Praetorians. Overall, the results were less that desirable. Only Dragonid managed to dodge both blasts fired at him, with one pirate managing to score hits on the other four Praetorians. As before, those attacks were easily shrugged aside by Paradigm and Seresk. The glowing field around the energy controlling Praetorian likewise completely absorbed the blast, leaving only Kharag as a possible casualty. However, the God-King of the Za'akis was a veteran of countless battles, and more than capable of taking a hit.

The telekinetic with the stealth team will hold until Huhunu has a chance to move forward to check the cave entrance. Seresk moves forward to attack the last heavy weapon on his side, hitting with a 18. This time the weapon just makes its saving throw. (Edit: Forgot this was already damaged, and to apply Seresk's superstrength for breaking objects, so it is damaged a bit more) The heavy weapon on the other side shoots at Paradigm again, missing. A pair of pirates shoot at Kharag, getting a 17 and 22, so 1 hit and 1 miss. DC 25 toughness save for Kharag. Another two pirates shoot at Dragonid, both missing. A trio of pirates combined fire on Paradigm, only one managing to hit and that is not good enough against her impervious. The heavy weapon Seresk attacked shoots at the Energy Controller, missing with a 14. A trio of pirates shoot at her as well, only one hitting. However, her impervious soaks the attack as well. Four pirates try to combined fire on Seresk: only one hitting, so again to no effect.

Dee took in as much of the layout of the house as she could as she and Agnus made their way inside, trying to memorize all the details she could. Well, they certainly seem to be concerned with security. She said to Agnus through the mental link. The main room was exactly what Dee expected, filled with the upper echelon of British society all posturing and gossiping amongst themselves. For the most part, Dee would have far preferred to have as little contact as possible with many in the room, and certainly not in an event such as this. But here she was, having to endure the event, at least for a short while. But before she could fully consider their next step, someone came out of the crowd to approach her. It would of course have to be Amber Pearce, who was so infatuated with her brother. "Hello Amber, so nice to see you as well." Dee managed to reply, forcing a faint smile. "Allow me to introduce a friend of mine, Agnus Stone. Agnus, this is Amber Pearce."

GM If the fact that the majority of the Communion forces on the ground had just been dealt with in one attack bothered the antibody facing Foreshadow and Coiled Lightining, it showed no sign of it. This antibody had thus far resisted multiple attacks, even shaking off whatever it was that Synapse had done to the others. The antibody lunged after Foreshadow once again, its wicked claws flashing in the faint light. But Foreshadow was far too quick for the Communion, in part aided by having forewarning of its attack, and easily avoided the slash. Seeing the Communion antibodies crumple under the psychic wave projected by Synapse, Stella turned her attention back up to the battle in the air, just in time to spot Young Britannia starting to fall back to Earth. Quickly closing the distance to the plummeting woman, Stealla easily caught her. "Looks like I get to return the favor." She stated with a faint smile. Meanwhile, the gathered aircraft sent by the United States and a number of European nations managed to destroy several more of the Communion fighters, momentarily clearing the sky of any threats.
