  1. GM The two remaining antibodies had not moved far away, just beyond the doorway so they were waiting for Gabriel when he came through. The spearwielding hero's sonic blast slammed into one of the pair, sending it spinning way through the section of the station. The other pushed off the wall it was clinging to, propelling itself at Gabriel. As it drew near, it slashed with its claws at the white clad figure. But even though he had braced himself somewhat to help counter the unusual feeling of fighting in a gravity free environment, Gabriel was still quick enough to pull aside and avoid the antibody's attack. Up on another level, the antibody that had slashed Tiamat earlier reached out toward her again as both were now floating in the air. The creature’s hands crackled with green energy, and Tiamat was still too groggy from the last attack to avoid the attack. Pinpricks of pain course through her body as the antibody touched her, the energy arching through her. Just as she had been about to get her bearings once more she was almost overwhelmed by the shock but fought to keep conscious.
  2. Okay, so she will remain dazed from that Stun attack.
  3. Okay, the last antibody near Gabe will attack him, missing with a 10. The one that attacked Tiamat last turn attacks her again, hitting with a 21. DC 20 Fort save for Tiamat Fox.
  4. Amara met Chlo'zel's gaze evenly, giving the shorter woman a small nod. "I appreciate the concern, but I am willing to stand up to whatever assault he unleashes, at least for a short while. Besides, from some of what I have heard about this Star-Kahn, he may wish to gloat a bit before he tries to kill me." That is assuming the Communion has not overridden that impulse completely. The Naram thought to herself. As the other two prepared to start the flanking maneuver, Paradigm lifted up off the ground to glide in the air. "I am Amara Val-Ren of the Praetorians, also known as Paradigm. I am honored to have the opportunity to go into battle alongside each of you." Giving the two a small nod, she then turned gracefully, her long black cloak billowing behind her as she began to fly off through the corridors, taking the most direct route to Star-Kahn.
  5. Okay, Dragonid and Kharag don’t really take in much beyond the immediate area. Wraith however is very aware of their surroundings, including the interiors of several buildings as they move away from the LZ. While everything seems generally deserted and empty, Wraith is able to note a number of figures inside some of the buildings around them. She is rather certain they are Communion, but for the moment they do not seem to have taken note of the group. Ghost Girl will note some of these as well, but as we talked about in chat Giz, she has to deal with the overwhelming sensation of death that surrounds her. People, small bird and squirrel like animals, even the plants, there is death everywhere she looks, and so, so much of it. So she will get a Hero Point and pick up the shaken status for the time being. Once we get into combat, she can start making DC22 Will saves to shake it off, with a cumulative +1 to the save each round after the first if she misses.
  6. No, the -4 to attack is from the effects of Zero Gravity.
  7. With the -4 to attack, that would be a 22, but still enough for +1 autofire. So antibody's toughness save (vs DC 28): nope, so it goes down.
  8. Okay, lets have Notice checks for people. Anyone that wants to try to be stealthy can make stealth checks.
  9. "May your hunt find success." Gur'ul offered as the odd collection of passengers debarked from the stealth ship and onto the surface of Amazri IV. "We will remain here as long as possible, but may need to become airborne once more if detected. If so, we will do our best to remain nearby." The area surrounding the stealth ship was still and quiet, the air itself seeming listless and sterile. All around them nearly everything was the same dull grey, the only splashes of color being some trees and plants that adorned the streets. However, upon a slightly closer examination, it appeared even that was soon to change, as the trunks of the plants were already the same grey as most everything else, and it was apparent that the color was spreading into the leaves as well. Many of the buildings nearby had signs and displays that clearly would have once been various colors. Now all were the same sheen of grey that covered the streets, buildings and everything else. What was even more strange was that from some of the buildings, the grey had seemed to pour out of openings and windows, coming down like a waterfall, only to then be frozen in place. There was no sign of any bodies, living or dead, just empty streets and buildings. The Lor technicians followed the others out, gripping their weapons nervously as they went. "That way." The chief technician stated as he pointed off away from the landing zone.
  10. "For the moment, just switch us to manual and isolate the computer." Amara replied as Sitara provided the two options available to them. "If that does not work, then we can consider powering the ship down." The Naram turned regard Moon-moth once more as the Lanturian spoke up. "Let's hold off on trying any exorcisms for the moment." She replied. But a curious look came to her face as Moon-moth mentioned what he was seeing in the code. "Trying to save us? Could it be some sort of damage control protocol that has somehow been tripped?" Not really waiting for an answer, Amara gave directions to the computer core. "The core is down on the lower level, in the science lab and reactor core. Wait for Sitara to go down with you."
  11. That will be a bruise and dazed. Stella takes 10 to shot another needle fighter, which misses its save and blows up. Foreshadow is up! (After his toughness save!)
  12. Yes, there are two minions left on Gabe. Don't forget the -4 to attack rolls from the zero gravity.
  13. Bittman had not gotten far down the hall when Coiled Lightning had managed to overcome the dark clad criminal. Stopping at the sound of the hero's victory, the curator turned around to regarded the scene, moving a bit close as Coiled Lightning secured the unconscious Garrote in his electrical whip. As he drew closer once more, Bittman starred at the dark cloaked figure with a strangely fascinated gaze for a few moments before he looked back up at Coiled Lighting. "No, no one else here now. The young man that runs my ticket booth left a short while ago, so it is just me here closing up now."
  14. Round Four 25 Antibodies 22 Stella d’Argento (unharmed) 18 Foreshadow (unharmed, 1 HP) 16 Coiled Lighting (unharmed, 0 HP) 16 Young Britannia (bruised, 2 HP) 15 Communion needle fighters 13 Professor Chiron (unharmed) 1 Ulysses (unharmed, 0 HP) Two antibodies go after Foreshadow, first uses the aid action: succeeding, so the next gets a +2 on its attack roll: managing to hit with a 25! DC 23 toughness save for Foreshadow. Another goes after Coiled Lightning: missing with a 15. The one that stood up to Ulysses goes after him, hitting with a 21, a DC 23 Fort save for Ulysses.
  15. GM Although Gaian Knight's speed on his rock platform was unaffected by the lack of gravity, like Fleur and Velocity, he found that he could not fully utilize that speed now that automatic doors and the like were without power and had to be manually opened to allow him access to passages between decks. Just as the hero managed to get the doors to a lift opened so he could access the central core and have a direct path down to any level, a pair of the Communion antibodies leapt at him through the opening. Green energy crackled along the forearms and hands of the two antibodies, as they slashed out at Gaian Knight. Although somewhat disoriented by the lack of gravity, the League member was still quick enough to avoid the attacks. Elsewhere, Fleur turned out away from the door she had come to, just in time to shine her light on a pair of Communion antibodies as they prepared to launch themselves at her. Green energy crackled along their arms as they glided over toward her. The first slashed at the green haired heroine, causing her to pull back from the attack, right into the path of the second artibody's attack. The green energy arched over Fleur's torso, causing pinpricks of pain throughout her upper body. Whatever it was the Communion footsoldier had done, it was much more painful than the more direct attacks they had been making thus far.
  16. So Fleur turns and spots two antibodies as they propel themselves toward her. The first is going to use the aid other action: succeeding with a 19, so the second gets a +2 on the attack roll: hitting with a 25. That is a DC 25 Fort save for Fleur against the attack. Gaian also comes across a pair as he reaches the central core and is trying to get the doors open. First tries to aid the second: succeeding with a 25, the second makes the attack with a +2: but misses with a 18
  17. Okay, you are able to reach a pair of antibodies attacking some UNISON troops, first one misses its toughness save, the second one makes it.
  18. "Currently it is only the world killer." Daedalus replied. "But that could change sooner than we might like." "Dark Star still has the world killer held in place, so we are holding a few thousand miles away while we have been waiting for you. We have had a fair amount of opportunity to study this thing over the last few months, in addition to having a chance to look over what the Communion tried to do to the Lighthouse back in December, so we believe we have a good idea on how we can get inside and cause this thing to overload and destroy itself." "We have spent the last couple of weeks weakening sections of the world killer's hull through a combination of Dark Star shifting the gravitational forces holding it in place and energy attacks from various League members. If we had more time we might have been able to use this tactic to just destroy it that way, but that is no longer an option. But, what we have been able to do so far should be enough that once you all are here, Dark Star can again make a major shift to the gravity well he has been projecting, tearing open rifts along the world killer's hull. That will give us a chance to get multiple teams inside if we move quickly enough, from there we can set about locating the key sections of the vessel's systems and set it to overload and destroy itself."
  19. Tiff, Ex, anything?
  20. So, with skill mastery, the check will be no problem. As Fleur gets to the door, she catches a glimpse of some claw marks on a wall as she is shining her flashlight around the area.
