Okay Tiff, Traveller is up.
-
As Dragonid and Kharag flew downward, they were accompanied by another female Praetorian who was surrounded by a glowing aura. More blasts of energy streaked up by them, most passing well away, but a few coming a bit closer than was completely comfortable. Luckily at this range it appeared they were not particularly accurate against such small targets, and the pirates appeared to be primarily counting on luck to hit any of them. Then with a small sonic boom, Paradigm streaked by the others, carrying the large reptilian form of Seresk with her as she travelled at hypersonic speeds through the atmosphere towards the surface. It took her moments to reach one of the plateau over the valley where the pirate camp was located. As she came to a halt just above the ground, she released Seresk, the towering Praetorian landing heavily on the rocky surface as he turned his gaze towards one of the nearest heavy weapons currently firing up at their fellow Praetorians. "You start with these, I will start clearing the other plateau." She started, before soaring out over the valley and toward the opposite plateau and the weapon emplacements located on it.

Velocity felt her stomach lurch as the Lighthouse's artificial gravity suddenly gave way. But the speedster was hardy enough to shake off the sudden queasiness that accompanied the feeling of weightlessness, as well as fast enough to grab ahold of a nearby counter to keep herself from completely floating free in the zero gravity. "Alright, might take a bit longer to get down to engineering after all." She said to herself as she pulled her feet back toward the counter bracing them against it before pushing off as hard as she could. With tone legs that were far stronger than they appeared, the young speedster managed to propel herself through the air rather quickly, pushing off a far wall to continue down the hallway. A few moments later she was near the central column of the Lighthouse, just managing to grab ahold of an edge to one of lift doors as she was almost propelled past after a superspeed push off a ways down the hall. Her momentum caused her to slam into wall, which stung a bit, but she held on as she pulled herself over the lift door and began the process of manually opening so she could have access to the central core that would allow her the most direct route down to engineering.

Amara glanced at the blue skinned woman a moment as she spoke about not wanting to run again. A small smile came to her face as she gave a nod. "I fully intend to try to stop Star-Khan here and now. But whether we do or do not, at least the leadership of the Coalition will have the opportunity to safely make its way from here." The Naram turned to regarding Senator Th'emme and the other leaders with a solemn nod as she shook the senator’s hand in return. "Safe journeys to you Senator Th'emme." She then glanced at Magistar Rull and Minister Ch'rrr in turn. "And to each of you as well Magistar, Minister." A'lan Koor gave the Praetorian a nod as well. "I believe you Praetorians have a saying, duty unto death. I sincerely hope such a sacrifice is not necessary Praetorian Val-Ren." Amara gave the elder Space Knight a nod as well, wishing him safe travels as well before turning to regard Galvanic and Rock as the leaders left the chamber. Glancing over to the monitors that showed the section of the base that Star-Khan was nearest, she replied. "The plan is simple. I fill fly out to meet Star-Khan directly. While he is focused on me, the two of you come at him from that side tunnel there." She stated, pointing toward an auxiliary tunnel that branched off from the main and eventually wound back to it near where Star-Khan would be entering. "Then we hit him with everything we have got."

GM Up in the sky, the Communion fighters continued to streak about, firing at the two flying heroines as well as the gathered fighter aircraft. Blasts of green energy streaked through the sky, with several of the French aircraft just managing to avoid being hit by attacks targeted at them. Young Britannia also managed to dodge under a shot aimed her direction just in time. However Stella d'Argento did not prove quite as fortunate, as a blast of the green energy struck her glowing form. However, the forcefield she had up around herself proved able to withstand the attack, and she was barely nudged by the blast. Even as the chaotic dog fight continued, more of the needle like fighters dove down from low orbit, several streaking past and toward the ground below. <There are too many of them!> Stella transmitted over the mental network. Down below, several of the needle fighters flew strafing runs over the areas where the defenders of the UNISON headquarters were gathered. One of the antiaircraft guns that had been firing up at the fighters exploded when struck by a green blast of energy. Elsewhere, Professor Chiron managed to avoid blasts aimed at him, while Ulysses proved less fortunate, the last of energy striking the steam powered hero squarely, causing him to stagger backward on his heels a moment before he gritted his teeth and focused past the pain. Professor Chiron turned and fired his weapons at the fighter that had shot Ulysses as it streaked past, scoring a hit. However, the energy blast deflected harmlessly off the metallic hull of the fighter. Other antiaircraft guns continued firing up at the needle fighters, a pair exploding as they were struck by high explosive shells. <Just hold on a few more moments.> Synapse stated over the mental network she was keeping in place. <Additional aircraft are almost here.>

Right now there only direction to go is down. I will say at the end of the round you will still be about 2,000 feet in the air, so you should be able to reach ground in the next turn with a move action.
-
Well, you can move all out for about 10,000 feet in a round (a full round action), which is half your normal all out move action. At that speed, I will say you will reach the ground during the next turn. Otherwise it will take awhile. One other benefit from using all out movement is you gain a bonus to your defense to help replace some of the defense lost based on being encumbered.
-
Okay, here is our initiative order: Round One 19 Dragonid (unharmed, 1 HP) 19 Kharag (unharmed, 2 HP) 17 Paradigm (unharmed, 2 HP) 13 Traveller (unharmed, 1 HP) 11 Moon Moth (unharmed, 3 HP) 2 Average pirates Lazer, Dragonid is up! I looked at Kharag's weight, and he is a heavy load for Dragonid, so you are at a max dodge bonus of +1, -6 on all actions and can only move at 2/3 normal speed while carrying Kharag.

So that first one goes down. But the second makes its toughness save. So, as I took YB a bit out of order we are on to the needle fighters. One takes a shot at Stella: hitting with a 24, she makes her toughness save with a 26. Another takes a shot at YB, missing with a 16 One needle fighter strafes the ground, aiming at Professor Chiron, missing with a 12 Another strafes at Ulysses, just hitting with a 17 due to Ulysses' charge last round. That is a DC 25 toughness save. Professor Chiron will take a shot at the needle fighter that shot Ulysses, hitting with a 28. But the needle fighter makes its toughness save.

The Garrote had just stood back up in order to try and move back into the shadows around him as Coiled Lightning quickly lashed out with his electrical whip. The energy ribbon zapped the dark cloaked man, knocking him backward to the ground from the force of the jolt. The Garrote landed on his back, half sitting back up to look over at Coiled Lightning for a brief moment. "It would appear you are more than capable..." The Garrote managed to weakly state, before he slumped over into unconsciousness. As the dark cloaked figure lay still, a hush fell over the museum once more, interrupted only by the crackling of Coiled Lightning's electrical whip.

The appearance of the Communion's partially cyberformed mouthpiece did little to relax Paradigm's concerns about the need for the other council members to evacuate the asteroid for some other safe haven. While the Praetorian did not know much about the former space tyrant, she had learned enough over the last few months to understand he was a dangerous foe before being taken by the Communion, and was likely all the more dangerous now. The sudden appearance of the massive rock creature and the floating blue skinned woman behind him had caused Paradigm to tense slightly as she spun in the direction of the ripped open doors. Recognizing the pair as coalition members that she had seen when she arrived for the meeting, the Naram relaxed her fists before turning back to the others. "Senator, you and the others need to be leaving. Now." "I will take these two and do what we can to delay Star-Kahn long enough for the evacuation."

As the rather makeshift team of heroes discussed the abilities each could bring to their mission and possible strategy, a small light began to flash on the counsel of the space plane in front of Geckoman, accompanied by a small warning chime. Glancing at the counsel, Geckoman noted that they were approaching the first preprogrammed coordinates out near the edge of the solar system. The spaceplanes sensors were picking up objects from the Kuiper Belt, among which it was reading several transponder signals. Just then the space plane's comm system crackled as it received a transmission. "This is Daedalus calling Pegasus 005, Geckoman, do you copy?"

Good start on a character Neutius. Some comments for you: Abilities: nothing really wrong there, but is there a particular reason why he is weaker than an average person and not very personable (low charisma)? Combat: Grapple would be +2, not -1 (as you at least have +3 base attack) Feats: While not really an issue, I was wondering what the reasoning for having Teamwork 3 is? That sort of represents someone that has had a lot of experience working with others. Powers: You have priced Insubstantial wrong. It is 5 pp per rank, so with the extra that is 20 pp, plus one more for the feat = 21 pp. As for the alt power off that, you can maybe add some additional immunities (maybe make the ones you have outside the array full?), but, you do not always have to spend every single point in each alt slot. Immunities: this would be Immunity 8, as that is how many different immunities you have. Also, should note you have half immunity to "all" environmental conditions, just to be clear.

Okay, they cannot beat that acrobatic bluff, so one near Coiled is flat footed. The two Foreshadow hits miss their saves: 15 and 11 and are down. No other near enough for takedown. Coiled Lightning is up!

GM Even as the gathered heroes began taking down some of the Communion ground forces, more of the antibodies arrived in other needleships, and started toward the battle and the UNISON building. A pair of antibodies came after Foreshadow, moving quicker than he would have thought for the drone like beings. One appeared to have once been some sort of feline humanoid, the other insect like in appearance. Both lashed how with wicked looking claws. One the costumed vigilante easily dodged, while the other he avoided by mere inches. Another pair closed with Coiled Lightning, how dodged away from one, only to find the other waiting as its silver claws slashed forward, managing to rake across the hero's left thigh. Coiled felt a sharp sting of pain, but reflectively pulled his leg away, avoiding far deeper injury. Ulysses was also rushed by a pair of the antibodies, both of which managed to land hits with their dangerous looking claws. However, the claws did not even break the steam powered hero’s skin, as he felt only the slightest impact from the two attacks. Meanwhile, up in the sky, Stella and Young Britannia each fired another beam of light at some of the needle fighters in the sky. Each of the two flying heroines managed to hit their targets, which exploded in bright flashes. But even with another pair down, there were still dozens of the fighters darting about, with more dropping down from low orbit every moment.

Okay, got that noted lazer. Stella will power attack (-1 atk/+1 dam) and take ten to blast another needle ship. The needle ship fails its toughness save with a natural 1 and is destroyed. Foreshadow is up!

Hmm, good point AA, actually everyone should be getting a HP for the loss of gravity in the station. I will give Frost and Gaian (for Tiamat) another as well for being restricted in what they can do in the confines of the station). Not sure if anyone else is equally restricted by the tight spaces (Velocity really is not). Also, because everyone is now in zero gravity, there is a -4 on attack rolls that needs to be accounted for. So you may need to make an attack roll even after some tradeoffs.

Ari, while I am all for some possible story involving AEGIS that gives our PCs closely associated with the organization some interesting things to do, I think trying to shoehorn AEGIS into SHEILD's place in Winter Soldier is not the way to do it. As I pointed out, AEGIS is a law enforcement agency, not an espionage agency. Any information gathering it does is the same as any other law enforcement agency does, gathering evidence to be potentially used in a trial, which necessarily is often a long drawn out process. To move AEGIS into the military would be a fundamental change in its nature. For one thing, it would pretty much lose its ability to operate in the United States, except in the most extreme of circumstances, and even then only by request/order of a governor or the president. In addition, the types of information gathering its agents have currently been undertaking is very different than normal intelligence gathering, so their expertise would not translate well into operating in an international scale, where there are already a number of federal intelligence agencies operating that DO have the expertise. And if they are mainly to be yet another national defense intelligence agency, why do they need a "flying fortress"? The other plot hole I see is that this group's offer to foot the majority of the bill for building these "flying fortresses" is a sure fire way for pretty much everyone to wonder what their motives are. Patriotism is nice and all, but that is an extreme that would certainly make a lot of people wonder what they are really up to.

Gur'ul glanced briefly over at Ghost Girl as he heard his name mentioned in her talk with Wraith, not seeming quite sure what to make of the ghostly Terran or her cheerful disposition. So the metamorph focused back at his control panel as he guided the stealth ship down into the half-cyberformed city. "There are bound to be Communion antibodies active in the vicinity of where we are headed." The Lor technician stated, clearly not very comfortable with the fact himself. "But how active they will be is harder to determine." "You may learn soon enough." Gur'ul interjected. "We are touching down." There was a slight lurch as the metamorph brought the stealth ship about and it rapidly descended the last few dozen yards to just above the surface, before rapidly decelerating once more and then gently settling down in a small courtyard between several buildings. On the viewscreens showing the area outside the ship, everything was still. The ground, buildings, even what appeared to have been some sort of plants, all were grey, having been converted to Computonium. There was no visible movement in the immediate area, and no signs of any Communion. "It would appear you are clear to disembark." Gur'ul stated, as the Lor technicians unstrapped themselves and began gathering their equipment and weapons.

GM Gabriel's blast sent one of the three Communion antibodies slamming against a wall, before it hung limply in the zero gravity and began to slowly drift away from the point of impact. The other two Communion were regarding the white clad hero from where they were floating, clutching on to something to keep them steady. Then, both pushed themselves off, propelling themselves away from Gabriel toward an open doorway. They each caught an edge of the door, and swung themselves inside and out of sight. On another level, two of the antibodies near Tiamat and Comrade Frost pushed off a wall, sending them both "flying" toward Tiamat. The now weightless dragon managed to dodge the first, but the second’s claws slashed out and caught her across the right shoulder blade, sending her spinning slightly as the force of the blow dazed her. Two of the others seemed to ignore Comrade Frost, as they ripped open a panel on the wall and began tearing out wires inside.
