Round Four 52 Velocity (unharmed, 3 HP) 25 Fleur de Joie (unharmed, 2 HP) 24 Boarding party 7 (Fleur fighting, 1 free-minion) 19 Gaian Knight (unharmed, 3 HP) 19 Boarding party 4 19 Boarding party 10 17 Boarding party 13 16 Boarding party 12 (near Velocity, 1 heroic antibody left) 15 Boarding party 11 (hanger) 14 Gabriel (bruised, 1 HP) 10 Boarding party 1 (fighting Gabriel, 3 left - minions) 10 Boarding party 9 (Tiamat, Comrade Frost there, 5 left) 8 Boarding party 2 7 Tiamat (unharmed) 3 Comrade Frost (unharmed, 1 HP) Velocity will try to finish off the heroic antibody she is left fighting, power attack (-2 atk/+2 dam): just hitting with a 20 for a DC 32 toughness save. The antibody gets a 18, so I will call it down. Fleur is up!
  2. Thanks Tiff. Ex, you might have missed how I set things up earlier, Moon Moth and Taveller (along with a few NPC new Praetorians) all left in the shuttle before the Aquilla entered the atmosphere and the others flew out to take on the pirates head on. By the time the direct assault is taking place, the rest of you would already be down near the planet's surface and heading towards the pirate base, having entered the atmosphere on the far side in order to avoid detection.
  3. GM The antibodies around Comrade Frost and Tiamat seemed oblivious to their exchange, their cold eyes focused on the two figures with unblinking intensity. The automated netgun that was still active in the area fired at one of the antibodies, managing to completely immobilize it in the net, thus cutting down the numbers even further. Down on the level where he was battling, Gabriel was able to see, out of the corner of his eye, the autogun try to take down the antibody that was trying to disable it, but the silver coated antibody, which looked like it had once been some canine like humanoid, easily dodged aside, avoiding the blast. Up in the command center, the Lighthouse crew were busy trying to coordinate everything while the League members were dealing with the boarders. Outside, the Lighthouse's external defense continued to fire at the Communion ships, focusing on any of the needle fighters that launched to prevent more boarders. Some of the technicians were busy trying to guide crew members on other parts of the station in falling back to safer sections, others were trying to monitor the battles going on in various locations where there were boarders. One of the technicians was busy at work at his station, when he glanced over toward the station of one of the crew members that had been injured when the a pair of the first wave of needle ships had crashed into the command center. Moving over to that other station, a troubled look quickly came over the technician's face as he studied the readout. "Umm...we may have a problem. There are some strange fluctuations coming from the power core." He transmitted over the League comm system.
  4. The net gun near Frost/Tiamat fires at one of the antibodies, hitting with a 20, the antibody gets a 13 for its Reflex save, so is bound and helpless. The autogun near Gabe fires at the antibody attacking it, missing with a 12.
  5. The antibody only gets a 20 on it toughness save, and as a minion, goes down.
  6. 19 Dragonid (unharmed, 1 HP) 19 Kharag (unharmed, 2 HP) 17 Paradigm (unharmed, 2 HP) 11 Moon Moth (unharmed, 3 HP) 2 Average pirates Tiff, still need a initiative roll for Traveller. Could also use a post for her and Moon Moth as they fly in low to the surface from "behind."
  7. GM As they exited the back of the spacecraft, the new Praetorians that made up the main assault team found themselves in the cool air of Zeta 845's upper atmosphere. Down below them was a vast, rocky expanse of this section of the planet, with several high plateaus that formed the valley in which the pirate base was located. Almost immediately it was apparent the pirates knew they were there, as powerful energy blasts streaked past, fired from the weapon emplacements located at the top of some of the plateaus. For the moment, the pirates just seemed to be firing in the hopes of warding them off, or perhaps scoring a lucky hit, as energy blasts went well wide of the five figures that had emerged from the Praetorian spacecraft. But as inaccurate as the heavy weapons were currently, the new Praetorians were rapidly dropping in altitude, and likely to become easier targets…
  8. A small group of Lor military technicians were seated further back in the stealth ship, their expressions a combination of discomfort and fascination at being inside the Grue vessel. Gur'ul regarded the Lor for a brief moment before focusing back on the other occupants, his eyes casting upward to regard Wraith as she hung from the ceiling before focusing back on Dragonid. "That really depends on how powerful the Communion sensors are down there. The Unity has lost stealth ships to them in other sectors, but others have managed to pass through Communion systems undisturbed." With that the metamorph turned back to overseeing the stealth ships descent into the planet's atmosphere. There was a slight tremor that could be felt by the occupants as the Grue vessel entered the atmosphere before the drone pilot adjusted for the wind and other variables.
  9. Ex, that will hit easily (in fact, you could take 10 and hit with you normal +8). Are you wanting to just grapple? Or do damage and grapple?
  10. "Respected leaders and representatives," Amara began as Senator Th'emme finished, "I understand that there is a long history of distrust and animosity among many of us gathered in this room, and that past is not easily set aside. The fact that we are gathered here reflects that all have come to realize that this is a threat that cannot be overcome alone. While this group may never fully come to trust one another, that may not be necessary for us to prevail." "Each of those green dots," the Naram pointed towards the various markings on the holodisplay that represented the scattered Coalition forces, "represents countless beings that have stepped forward to try and stop the Communion. They come from all the worlds and peoples each of you represent, and more. Each of them risks their lives to try to protect their families, worlds, and, knowingly or not, all sentient beings that are threatened by the Communion. We all need to respect their dedication and sacrifice and in doing so, trust that they will see this mission through."
  11. It only gets a 21 on its toughness save, so is destroyed. Go ahead and post. Fox, still need a post for Tiamat arriving only to find Frost there but no Gaian
  12. Amara had just been enjoying the omelet Myoth had prepared when the alarms began to sound around the bridge. The Naram immediate sat the plate down beside her as she focused her attention to the situation on the bridge as the Devotion's engines began shutting down and several of the ships systems began to lose power as the computers were required to prioritize. Feeling the faint sensation of weightlessness starting to set in, Amara activated her own ability to fly to stabilize herself and remain in place. "I have every confidence that you were as thorough as always Sitara." Amara stated as she looked at a display projecting the code running through the computer core. "Anyone that needs to, get into emergency survival suits, just in case we lose life support." She then broadcast through the ship. "What other options do we have?"
  13. Tsunami will target Samebito 2 with a water blast, getting a 26 for her attack roll, DC 27 toughness save if that hits.
  14. Giang came to a halt as she and her friends arrived at the temple entryway, concerned that there was no apparent sign of Captain Kraken or any of his men. The Asian teen was certain that she had seen him make his way here, so whatever he was up to, he was not wanting to draw undue attention. "They could not have gotten far." She said to Glamazon and Temperance. "We should spread out and see if we can figure out where they have gone. Do not hesitate the call out if you find them."
  15. NPC A'Lan Koor turned to regard Citizen for a brief moment before responding. "My apologies Citizen Tulink, I did not mean to imply that you were Terran. I am familiar with Tronik, Centurion once told me how he freed your home from the Curator. But my understanding was that you were not here only speaking on your own behalf, but also expressing the analysis of several of Earth’s greatest defenders." The elder Lor then let a slight smile creep into his voice. "And I would not be so insulted to be labeled a Terran. I spent many cycles on Earth, and developed close friendships with many of my comrades in the Freedom League. I know my time there left an impression on me, as I am sure your time there has left one on you."
  16. AA, that would just miss. But, as they are almost all minions, you can take 10 and hit one, unless you are going for a critical of course.
  17. GM Gabriel's twin sonic blasts quickly dispatch the two antibodies that had been engaging him. But even as they went down, two others quickly closed to attack the white clad hero. Their silver claws lashed out, but Gabriel was able to parry the first with his spear, and just avoid the second. The last remaining antibody was focused on trying to destroy the autogun, but the defense weapon proved resilient, taking the hit with little effect. At the group of Communion that Comrade Frost had moved to engage, a pair of them turned their cold eyes towards the swirling cloud that had appeared from one of the air ducts and frozen one of their kin. The two antibodies let out high pitched shrieks as they moved forward toward the Russian vampire. Their silver claws slashed out, proving completely ineffective against Frost in his current state. Further down the hallway, another of the antibodies moved over to try to destroy the net gun that was still operational, but the defensive weapon retracted backward slightly, managing to avoid the antibodies attack. The other three antibodies in the area started stalking off down the corridor, away from Frost and in the direction that Tiamat was currently approaching from...
  18. Okay near Comrade Frost, one of the antibodies is going to attack the net gun, missing with a 15. A pair of the antibodies rush Frost, but are unable to harm him while he is insubstantial. This brings up Tiamat, though it will take her a full round move action to finish running to this location. Go ahead and post for her thought Fox. Then it will be Frost's action AA (which we can start handling while waiting for Fox to post for Tiamat.
  19. There was visible relief on the faces of the Aphelion's crew at the confirmation that the pirates would not be renewing their assault. The merchant vessel's captain turned to regard Corona as she made her request. "Sol? I am afraid officer that is far out of our way, particularly as weighed down as we are. There are several much closer Republic systems which we will be able to reach within half a standard rotation. The Republic presence in any of them would be far more likely to provide a quicker means of transport to wherever you and your companions need to go next."
  20. EP, never hurts to have more options for possible settings for a social thread. Cannot say I would make use of it anytime soon, but maybe someday. Perhaps it might be helpful to put up a general description of the Southern Queen (exterior and interior) that can be referenced by anyone wanting to use it as a setting for a social thread? Maybe also give a list and short description of a few NPCs working there that they might meet (such as waiters and host/hostesses).
  21. The first antibody gets a 26 on its toughness save, and as a minion is down. The second gets a 16, which was against DC30. It is heroic, but that is still failing by 14, so I will say it is destroyed as well. One of the antibodies attacks the autogun, hitting with a 30, the gun gets a 25 on its toughness save and is fine. Two antibodies rush Gabe, just missing with a 19 and 21.
  22. GM The antibody that had managed to escape from the first set of ensnaring vines opened its mouth to let out a high pitched shrieking before it rushed toward the green haired heroine. The creature appeared to once have been some sort of insectoid humanoid, its cold eyes fixed on Fleur as its silver coated claws slashed out at her. As with the one in the command center, the antibody managed to land a hit, but once again Fleur's natural durability proved more than capable of handling the hit. Down on a lower level, the last Communion antibody facing Velocity charged at the speedster, throwing itself at her with a bit of reckless abandoned. But with only one opponent, the speedster had little trouble moving out of the way of the slashing silver claws, moving back a few steps as she prepared to try to put this one down so she could move on. Back in the hanger, most of the antibodies that had just dispersed from the newly arrived fighters went down in the hail of rocks sent out by Gaian Knight. But two had managed to avoid the onslaught, while a third had taken the hits with seeming little effect. All three charged towards the League member, although only two managed to reach him. Silver claws lashed out once again, both landing hits on the rock wielding hero. But once again his armor proved capable of taking the attacks from the alien creatures, and they both glanced harmlessly off.
  23. So, I will say the heroic one and one of the others are able to get to you this round. Both attack (heroic is second roll): 30 and 27!. Luckily that natural 20 is a minion. So two DC 25 toughness saves for Gaian!
  24. Okay, they are spread out, but that is still a very large area, so I’ll say it has a chance at catching them all. Reflex saves: two manage to dodge the blasts thank to Evasion. Toughness saves for the other six (last one is the heroic one): only the heroic one makes it, so five go down, two dodge and one just takes the hit.
