GM Even as the League members went into action, the automated internal defense systems of the Lighthouse came online as well, attacking the Communion antibodies scattered throughout the station, although with mixed results. Down on the level Velocity was on, one of the automated gun popped out of a wall, shooting a net at the last antibody. The metal-fiber net hit its target, wrapping around it tightly and causing the antibody to topple over, completely immobilized. In the hanger where Gaian Knight was still facing three of the antibodies, another automated gun appeared, firing a stun blast at one of the three antibodies. However, this time the antibody was quicker on its feet, dodging just in time to avoid the blast. The results were similar on the level where Gabriel was facing one of the boarding parties. With both a net and stun gun appearing to attack the Communion. However, the antibodies managed to avoid both attacks. Up on the command center, the technicians were once again fully focused on their tasks, with all the antibodies that were there currently taken care of. Outside, those still present could see the Lighthouse continuing to trade energy weapon fire with the Communion warship that had broken off to engage. "We have more of those needle fighters inbound!" One of the technicians called out.

Okay, finishing up this round, the Lighthouse’s defense system start going after some of the antibodies. A snare attack goes after the antibody that is facing Velocity: hitting with a 22. The Antibody’s reflex save is a 8 so it is bound and helpless. A stun blaster shoots at one of the antibodies down facing Gaian Knight, missing with a 13. On Gabe’s level, both a snare attack and stun blaster engage. The snare just missing with a [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4784598/[19, while the blaster also misses with a 13. So, on to… Round Two 52 Velocity (unharmed, 4 HP) 26 Boarding party 6 25 Fleur de Joie (unharmed, 3 HP) 24 Boarding party 7 19 Gaian Knight (unharmed, 3 HP) 19 Boarding party 4 19 Boarding party 8 (Hanger, 3 left, fighting Gaian Knight) 19 Boarding party 10 14 Gabriel (unharmed, 4 HP) 10 Boarding party 1 (fighting Gabriel), 7 left) 10 Boarding party 9 8 Boarding party 2 7 Tiamat (unharmed) 3 Comrade Frost (unharmed, 1 HP)

Lor Space Aboard the Praetorian Aquila Class Starship Devotion Mid-December, 2014 (Terran calendar) Amara Val-Ren still felt somewhat ill at ease in the command seat of the Praetorian spacecraft. But in the short time since she and her fellow Praetorians had been revived by the Curator, she had actually spent only a small amount of time aboard either of the Praetorians' surviving starships. She and her brethren had been thrust into another conflict with the Communion, this time seeking to help the various space fairing powers that were being hard pressed by the Communion forces. Lacking the numbers to directly confront the Communion as they had over two thousand years ago, the surviving Praetorians instead did what they could to organize and inspire the forces of those fighting the threat. But for every cruiser they destroyed, or wave of antibodies they decimated, there were always more, the Communion continuing to add to its forces as it cyberformed planet after planet as it moved through sectors of space. But as desperate the situation was, the sheer scope of the threat had left little time for Amara or fellow Praetorians to dwell much on the fact that they were now two thousand years removed from the empire they had once served, and that all that they knew, everyone they once knew, were not long gone, even with how long Naram could live. But occasionally there were quite moments, where such thoughts could come to the front. In the face of those times, Amara could only try to focus on what she had to do to try to see herself and the others safely through this crisis. Of course, much of the time it seemed as if she was merely delaying the inevitable, but she could not let that stop her from what she had to do, for countless beings were counting on them, even if many of those beings did not even know it.

GM Even as Gabriel felled one of the Communion antibodies, three others moved swiftly to intercept the hero, slashing with wicked claws at him. The white clad hero managed to dodge the first antibody, sidestepping the attack and moving a short distance away, but the next two were on him before he had a chance to fully adjust. One slashed towards Gabriel's head, but he managed to bring his spear up in time to deflect the attack away. But as he was doing that, the second stabbed into his exposed left side. Gabriel felt the impact, turning just enough at the last moment to allow his armor to take the worst and leave him otherwise unharmed. Up in the command center As terrifying as Tiamat could be, the last free Communion antibody regarded her with cold eyes that were unmoved by her display. The antibody remained calmed and focused, as it adjusted slightly for the new threat.

When Tatiana spoke up, Amara looked over to the Murian, paying close attention to what the other woman had to say. Amara knew enough about the Muras and the Murian to recognize that Tatiana had expertise in these matters. When Tatiana had finished and Moon Moth spoke up first to agree with her plan, the young Naram nodded in agreement as well. "I agree as well." She stated. "Stealth is no one of my strong points, so I will certainly be part of the initial attack." She added, moving over near Draganoid. "We should not take longer than necessary, I would imagine the longer we wait, the greater the chance the pirates may detect the presence of the navy ships, or just set out on a raid."

Aboard the Aphelion With one last burst of effort, Mechanized managed to put down the last of the Communion antibodies, the engine room falling strangely quiet for the moment. "I…I will be alright." Memorial replied to the Earth woman as she stood back up, shaking off the effect of the attack from the antibody. Around the two women, the various pirates tensed slightly at Mechanized's aggressive comments. Even though they did not understand her, it was not hard to get the basic message from her tone and glare. But even as the pirate foot soldiers tightened their grips on their energy weapons and the two hulking pirates tensed up, the insectoid pirate with the sword stepped forward, shouting something to the other pirates that neither Mechanized nor Memorial could understand. He then turned back to the two women, as Memorial translated his words for Mechanized. "The threat is *tick* over here. We *tick* will be departing now. It *tick* was a privilege to fight beside you both." The pirate gave them a small bow, then started directing the others out of the engine room and back toward their shuttles. The pirates left without much comment, many carrying injured comrades with them. Soon it was just Memorial and Mechanized with the handful of engineers for the merchant ship. Out in space As the two Communion cruisers came to sudden ends, breaking apart in two separate explosions, Corona and Galvanic soon found each other out in the cold void. The pirate flagship and one of the smaller pirate ships were still off a short distance from the Apheilon, but their guns now stopped firing with the Communion ships gone. The second smaller pirate ship was still listing slightly, before it suddenly exploded, taking the Communion that had boarded it along with it. As the flash of the explosion died down, Corona and Galvanic could see the pirate shuttles that had boarded the Apheilon returning to the pirate flagship.

Dok, it is good to hear from you, even if it is just for you to say that you are not likely to be back anytime soon. I fully understand your reasons for focusing on other things, and wish you the very best! When/if things change for you, we would always love to see you back here!

No, there is no real open areas on this level, the museum is pretty crowded with displays.

SG, that is not quite how using a HP works. You get to spend a HP for a reroll, and you get to add 10 to the reroll if it is 10 or less. But in any event, with the penalties from the space suit, you could only end up missing if you rolled exactly 11 on the reroll, and in the spirit of moving this forward, I will just say you hit with the reroll. The antibody gets a 15 on its toughness save, so it destroyed.

Aboard the Aphelion While Mechanized was able to shake off the powerful attack from one of the Communion drones, Memorial was not quite as lucky. The heroine was sent stumbling back a few steps from the brutal hit, even as Mechanized moved up to engage the last Communion on the merchant vessel. But while the Earth woman managed to land a solid hit, the drone managed to shake it off with seeming little effect. The two large pirates moved forward towards this last drone, following after Mechanized, swinging their large meaty fists as they arrived. But the Communion drone was ready for their clumsy attacks, dodging both fluid movements. The insectoid pirate moved back into range, swinging its sharp sword as it drew near. It also scored a solid hit on the drone, but once again the last Communion refused to succumb, remaining on its feet and apparently uninjured. Out in space The last needle ship looped back around the Aphelion, coming back after the last pirate interceptor as it did so. The Communion fighter’s green energy beams lit up the darkness, managing to score a hit on the pirate fighter, but interceptors shields and sturdy hull held up to the assault with minimal effect. The pirate piloting the fighter banked hard, causing the needle ship to overshoot his fighter. As the Communion fighter passed, the pirate pilot veered back into a path to follow the needle ship, turning with it as he struggled to line up a shot. The needle fighter tried to evade, but the pirate interceptor stayed right after it, banking and climbing in perfect unison. Then, suddenly, the pilot managed to line up his shot, pulling the trigger as he did so. The beams of energy from the interceptor streaked through space, striking the needle ship and reducing it to a flash of light and a small silver cloud of debris as it exploded. Galvanic emerged back out of the large Communion vessel, following the path she had made coming into the vessel, even as the energy cascade she had triggered caused the ship’s core to detonate. In an almost blinding flash, the Communion vessel blew appearing as the core exploded. The back half of the ship was completely gone, but the damage was severe enough that the remaining portion of the vessel was blasted apart into a number of sections of debris. Corona similarly managed to make her way out of the Communion ship she had disabled just before it exploded. Only this time the final destruction of the Communion ship was caused by the fire of two of the pirate cruisers. The third cruiser, which had clearly been hit by some of the Communion needle fighters, was listing slightly to one side.

Okay, the last antibody on the Aphelion tries to attack Mechanized, but misses completely with a 12 The last needle fighter tries to shoot the last interceptor, just hitting with a 17. The interceptor’s toughness save is 29, so it is fine. The two tough pirates will then move up to attack the last antibody, missing with a 14 and 17. This rolls us on to 24 Pirate Interceptor pilots (4) (3 disabled) 24 Galvanic (bruised 5, 1 HP) 17 Elite Pirates (1 on flagship: bruised; Insectoid on Apheilon: bruised 2) 16 Average Pirates (1 on Aphelion staggered) 15 Mechanized (bruised, 1 HP) 15 Waymaker (unharmed) 12 Corona (bruised 2, fatigued, 0 HP) 12 Sovereign (bruised) 10 Antibodies (1 aboard the Aphelion) 8 Needle Fighters (1 near pirates and merchant) 7 Memorial (bruised, dazed, 1 HP) 3 Tough Pirates The pirate interceptor tries to blast the last needle ship, hitting with a 22. The needle ship gets a 19 on its toughness save, so it is destroyed! The elite pirate will try to attack the last antibody, hitting with a 22, the antibody gets a 23 and makes it toughness save. This brings Mechanized back up on the Aphelion. Galv and Corona are up out in space.

Okay, three of the surviving Antibodies will rush Gabe and attack, getting a 24, 14 and 26. That is two hits, so two DC 25 toughness saves. On the bridge, the last free antibody will move to attack Fleur, power attacking (-2 atk/+2 dam) and hitting with a 28! Luckily it is a minion, so no critical, only a DC 27 toughness save for Fleur. That will bring Tiamat up.

I forgot to mention that the majority are minions. So, you choice if you want to stick with rerolling this and take the crit. The antibody only gets a 26 for its toughness save, not even good enough against a normal take10 attack.

It only took Paradigm a few brief moments to reach one of the Either Ore’s airlocks. However, even she had to wait for the airlock to cycle, at least if she did not want to smash through the hull of the vessel and risk exposing those nearby to the vacuum of space. So the Naram waited until she had been cycled through airlock, coming back out in the corridor beyond. Not wishing to waste further time trying to find where she might be needed, she decided to take a few brief moments and learn what the situation was. So Paradigm turned to the nearest Lor still on their feet. "We are clear of any other external threat for the moment. What is the status of the boarders? Is there anywhere that is not yet secure?"

Well, while Gabe does have a lot of flight, the station is an enclosed space, with lots of low ceilings, doors and the like, making it a bit harder to go full out without corresponding Quickness or the like. But, he still has more than enough flight ot make it down to another grouping of Communion in a move action, even having to deal with all that. So, go ahead with an attack roll! (We will say he finds boarding party 1)

Yes, that is bruised and dazed. The antibody gets a 24 for its toughness save, which is just enough to survive.
