  1. Round Two 10 Coiled Lightning (unharmed, 2 HP) 5 Garrote (unharmed)
  2. The shock of the electrical whip caused the Garrote to stagger backward a couple of steps, clearly shocked by the attack. But however much the shock had effected the man, the cloaked figure backed away from Coiled Lightning, somehow slipping into the shadows of the dark museum and vanishing from sight. "So you are one of these 'superheroes.' I had heard of those masked 'mystery men' of old, but never encountered any before. We will see if you can indeed stop me!" A disembodied voice stated from the darkness, seeming to echo all around. Further up the hallway, Bittman spun around at the sound, shining his flashlight back in the direction and centering the beam on Coiled Lightning. "What? Who are you?" He asked, clearly shocked by the appearance of the costumed man with the electrical whip.
  3. Okay, the three antibodies that withstood the rock storm will rush Gaian Knight and attack: 11, 21 and 14, so one hit and two misses. That is a DC 25 toughness save for Gaian (do not forget the +5 for Gabe’s Inspire!)
  4. Okay, I am going to have the Garrote shake off the daze (HP to Coiled). He will try to slip back into the shadows (with Hide in Plain Sight), getting a 24 on his Stealth check. Tough for Coiled to try to beat, but he can possibly do so with a Notice check.
  5. Okay, Communion reflex saves: so two manage to dodge the attack thanks to Evasion. The other six have toughness saves: so one makes it, the other five are destroyed.
  6. GM Rarrak looked over the newer recruits that spoke up with suggestions before he turned back toward Sitara to answer her question. "These scans are less than one standard rotation old, but we do not believe the reconnaissance ship was spotted. Thus far there has been no sign of any pirate ships trying to leave the system." He then turned back to the others as he continued. "I have heard several good ideas, but it could prove difficult to try and incorporate them all." "As for the pirates trying to just run," he glanced over at Moon Moth, "this would not be the first pirate group to believe they had the numbers or superior position to try to make a stand. But generally such groups see little profit in standing and fighting against those that can fight back. In any event, there are navy ships in the sector prepared to help run down any ships that manage to make it off the planet."
  7. Okay, with boarding party 7 off scene, Gaian Knight is up!
  8. Okay, first the Antibodies will try to avoid the area (ignore the last two rolls, as there are only 8). One managed to complete dodge the area thanks to Evasion. So, seven that now have to try to resist the snare effect. Bad rolls, so they are all bound and helpless. So, one escapes, seven are bound and helpless.
  9. Velocity had rushed over and pulled the technicians knocked to the ground clear as the Communion ships opened up to revel their passengers. For a microsecond, the speedster had considered striking against those in the command center, but she did not even need to turn her head to see the monitor displaying the locations of the other impacts, which meant other boarding parties. There were several other League members here at the moment, the same could not be said for the other locations the Communion had breeched. "You all start here, I'll start down on deck five!" She shouted, before she was gone in a yellow blur. Other than the command center, deck five had the most civilians aboard currently. It was also where the infirmary and the teleporter was located. Less than a second later the speedster came to the outer hallway that the needle ships had breeched, another eight of the lifeless Communion emerging from the vessels. The speedster did not hesitate more than a microsecond, before she was closed with the nearest of them, striking out at it with a fist moving at hypersonic speeds, breaking the sound barrier with a loud *CRACK* before slamming into the Communion and smashing it back into the bulkhead. But before it had even moved a millimeter, Velocity was already past it, striking the next. *CRACK* Six more times she lashed out, striking all eight of the Communion before she came to a halt a short way down the corridor. Seven of the Communion were now lying in smashed heaps, unlikely to ever rise again. But the eighth had managed to withstand the powerful attack, and now fixed its cold gaze on the momentarily still speedster. The Communion antibody rushed forward with more speed than one would expect, but it was still slow in the speedster's eyes. As it lashed out with cruel looking claws, Velocity easily sidestepped the attack.
  10. Velocity will move down to one of the other boarding locations (I will say boarding party 5) and use her targeted, selective area attack on all the antibodies present there. With the Inspire she will Power Attack for full (-5 hit, +5 dam), getting a 23 on her attack roll which hits all eight. Antibodies toughness saves. One actually managed to make its save! The antibody tries to counter attack: missing badly with a 13 Boarding party 6 is off who knows where, so Fleur is up!
  11. Okay, Gabe's speech happened before combat begins, so everyone will start the round fully Inspired. KD, it is based on your Cha bonus, so all the PCS, Tiamat and a bunch of staff are all inspired. Making rolls for the Communion boarding parties Round One 52 Velocity (unharmed, 4 HP) 26 Boarding party 5 26 Boarding party 6 25 Fleur de Joie (unharmed, 3 HP) 24 Boarding party 7 19 Gaian Knight (unharmed, 3 HP) 19 Boarding party 4 19 Boarding party 8 19 Boarding party 10 14 Gabriel (unharmed, 5 HP) 10 Boarding party 1 10 Boarding party 9 8 Boarding party 2 7 Boarding party 3 7 Tiamat (unharmed) 3 Comrade Frost (unharmed, 1 HP) I will say boarding party 3 is the one in the command center, there are 8 of the antibodies present.
  12. GM As Gabriel's voice began to echo through the Lighthouse, the Communion cruiser headed toward the satellite began to open fire, bright green beams of energy streaking across the void to strike the station's shields. Even as the Lighthouse shook slightly from the impacts, the station's automated defense systems began firing as well, blasting at the small needle like ships streaking toward it. Several exploded in bright flashes of silver, but there were more than the defense system could quickly target. The space station began to shake once more, as the small vessels began ramming into it, their front spearlike ends piercing the hull. Just as Gabriel finished his speech, there was a loud crash that reverberated through the command center, as a pair of needle ships smashed through the hull along one wall, taking out a group of monitors and knocking a pair of technicians to the floor. The tips of the Communion ships then split open, peeling back to grip along the wall around them, reveling four figures inside each ship. They appeared to have once been humanoid beings of various shapes and sizes, but now all were covered in a silvery metal, their cold, dark eyes looking through the smoke at the figures arrayed around them as their mouths opened to a horrible shrieking that reminded those present older enough of a modem. With their resolve at least momentarily bolstered by Gabriel's speech, the technicians still at their stations continued their tasks, as one called out. "We have multiple impacts on the Lighthouse, in ten distinct areas, including the here!"
  13. GM Although it had managed to block the water blast from Tsunami, the earth creature was otherwise still reeling from Crimson's last attack. Up in the air, Clover opened a hole in the force bubble she had formed around the rock they were on. "Take your shot sis!" She shouted. Crimson did not have to be told twice. The young woman still looked in pain, but had a determined look on her face as she aimed her hand once again at the massive earth creature and sent another blast of red energy streaking through the air. The last struck the earth creature on the upper part of its right shoulder, sending it stumbling a couple of steps toward the edge of the river, and down to one knee. The earth creature was looking much the worse for wear now, but still was somehow on its feet, mostly anyway. Clover closed the energy bubble back up again as Tundra moved the rock they were all standing out over the water and further away from any easy counterattack.
  14. Clover will open a space in the force construct for the moment for Crimson to shoot at the earth creature again: she hits with a 27. The earth creature gets a 15 on its toughness save, so it is now staggered and dazed again. Clover closes the force wall back up again as Tundra moves them out over the river. Ulysses is up!
  15. With the earth creature appearing once again dazed from one of Crimson's blasts, Giang took the opportunity to put a bit of distance between her and creature, while hoping to draw it out into the river. It was only a few steps to get her to the edge of the water, and the Asian teen gracefully dove into the water, cutting through it like a knife. In a moment, she was almost a hundred feet from the shore, rising up to the surface once again to stand on the very top of the water itself. Turning back toward the shore, Giang brought her hands up in front of her once more and sent another blast of twisting coils of water toward the massive creature. But despite its weakened state, the massive earth creature somehow managed to bring up an arm that helped deflect the watery blast away from it, causing only minimal damage to the arm.

Ref point to Velocity as well for reward purposes. Then rollover 41 posts to Paradigm (to put her at 50). Remaining GM/Velocity posts to Synapse (to put her at about 16). Ref point rollover to Tsunami)
  17. Round Seventeen 18 Tsunami (bruised, 3 HP) 14 Earth Monster (bruised 11, dazed) 9 Clover (staggered, bruised) 9 Crimson (bruised 2, staggered) 9 Tundra (bruised) 8 Ulysses (0 HP) 7 Miss Grue (bruised 4, 0 HP) Tsunami will dive in the water and swim out a little ways from shore. After coming back up to the surface, she uses defensive attack once again (-3 atk/+3 def) and shoots another water blast at the creature: missing with a 11
  18. Although we do not quite need them yet, it is probably a good time to start gathering initiative rolls.
  19. That is a good hit, he gets a 19, so is Dazed. Go ahead and post IC.
  20. Round One 10 Coiled Lightning (unharmed, 1 HP) 5 Garrote (unharmed) Coiled is up!
  21. I'll go ahead and say it goes down.
  22. Bittman continued on his way, apparently unaware of Coiled Lightning's presence in the shadows. After waiting a few moments, the hero started forward, following after the older man and keeping to the darkness. They had moved through most of one section of the museum when Coiled Lightning suddenly became aware of a presence behind him, just as a thin cable came up and over his head to try to wrap around his throat! But even caught off guard, the hero’s reflexes were quick enough that he ducked down and to one side, avoiding the attempt to grapple him with the garrote. Stepping to one side and turning, he saw a figure in the darkness dressed in an suit and wearing a dark hooded cloak.
  23. Okay, the Garrote gets a 19 on his Notice check and a 21 on his Stealth roll, so he sees you and you do not see him. As Coiled is following Bittman, the Garrote moves up behind to attack: and even with Coiled flat footed, he misses with 10. So, initiative time!
  24. I am just going to call the power core breached and starting to overload to explode!
  25. Oskar's cybernetic hand rocketed forward, quickly outdistancing the trio as they rushed down the festively lit streets of the city. Beings were quick to get out of the groups way, given Oskar's visibly drawn weapon. There was no sign of any pursuit by the pirates, or any authorities either. By the time they reached the hanger, the Xeno was already powered up and ready for takeoff. All three were breathing heavily, and Balus has begun lagging a bit behind, with Ana making sure he did not get left behind. There was still no sign of any pursuit.
