Bittman did seem to brighten up slightly as Charlie expressed interest in the museum and the wax replicas. "Ah, glad you have such positive memories of your prior visits to a wax museum." He stated as he looked over at one of the nearby displays, a small smile on his face. "I myself grew up around this, my father used to own and operate this museum." He then glanced back at Charlie. "Well, there are some suppliers of was replicas, but I only have a few of those, and mainly for likenesses where you do not see the features of the subject, such as the executor over there." He pointed over towards a display of a hooded executor wielding a large ax, ready to behead one of King Henry the VIII’s wives. "But the majority of the ones I have here are ones I have made myself. I have a workshop in the basement where I prepare the molds and pour the wax."

Hmm, not sure that Up the Wall would help with this, but I guess I will say sure. Dagger just makes his toughness save.

SG, there may be some timing issues with this, as the world may be deep in the middle of the Incursion come New Year's Eve. We will get back to you on that.

Well, the only problem is he has leapt up onto the top of a telephone pole.

Okay, in preparation for the touchdown, each of you give me Notice and Survival checks.

Dee wanted to reply to Erick's compliment, or even congratulate him on the powerful blow he landed on the Crocodile King, but the Englishwoman was far too focused on keeping her mental hold over the creature and preventing it from doing anything else. She could feel it's will struggling against her mental grip, coming very close to pulling free. But she managed to maintain the hold, keeping the creature locked up in a battle inside its own mind, and thus unable to react to what was going on around it. Dee tried to strike at its mind, hoping to knock it unconscious, but the Crocodile King still proved incredibly resistant, avoiding the attempt, even if it could not pull free from her hold.

Plasma erupted from Trigger's barrel, filling the air out in front of Starshot in a cone that was aimed at the pirate captain and three of her men. The feline pirate tried to avoid the roaring plasma, but was unable to get out of the path of the blast, and was knocked off her feet and to the ground. Although she still clung to consciousness, her fur was badly singed and she was dazed. One of the other pirates almost leapt clear of the plasma, but was caught on the side, knocked off his feet as he fell to the ground unconscious. His two comrades too the blast full force, getting knocked back almost a dozen feet, where they lay on the ground, clearly out of the fight. The blast of plasma also caused a fair bit of property damage, a section of wall on the opposite end of the street pot-marked and burning, the vendor stand Silver had taken cover behind blasted to bits and aflame. The last pirate that had been shooting at Starshot who was still on his feet took a look at the chaos unleashed by the human's weapon. "Captain!" He cried out GalStandard before glancing over at the large reptilian pirate trying to smash Deep Freeze's ice wall. "Let's get out of here!" He shouted, as he ran over and helped Silver to her feet, then half guiding, half pulling her toward a sidestreet.

Silver, actually misses her Reflex save with an 11. And she gets the same thing for her Toughness save, so she is dazed and staggered. The other three pirates: 5, 19, 8, one makes it. So saves (last one is vs the DC 18]: 20, 14, 17, so all three are down.

Sure, I'll say that can catch Silver and three of the average pirates in it.

Back on what had been the dance floor, the last of the gunman still on his feet aimed up at one of the bodyguards who had appeared at the railing, firing off a burst from his assault rifle. But the kick of the weapon caught him off guard and the burst went well wide, shooting up into the roof instead of the balcony area. But the gunman did not stay to try another shot, turning and running off underneath the balcony, and out of line-of-sight for those up above. Widowmaker sprinted towards a boarded up window, leaping into the air as he drew close. The tall man's powerful legs propelled him into the air and through the boards covering the window, which exploded outward as he continued past, arching through the air as he came down in the loading yard of the old warehouse, landing on the roof of a parked van, crumpling it inward slightly as he looked up. A limousine was pulling out of the loading yard, Salnikov and the teleporting woman inside along with some of the arms dealer's other men. Widowmaker aimed over toward an exit from the warehouse, aiming his combat shotgun at the door. Back in the warehouse, Salnikov's other bodyguards and Incendiary sprinted across the balcony towards the nearest stairs down to the ground floor. After dodging Foreshadow's bo staff, Dagger continued running down the short hallway they were in. He slammed through a door, through which Foreshadow saw the outside of the warehouse, and as he exited, there was a loud gunshot from what was clearly a shotgun. Dagger jerked to one side as he was hit in the side by a shotgun slug, but he did not otherwise break stride, leaping up into the air and disappearing from Foreshadow's immediate line-of-sight.

Okay, less rolling this round. The last gunman will shoot at one of the bodyguads: missing with a 6, he then runs up underneath the balcony and out of sight. Everyone else is moving, including Dagger, who will take two move actions this round. When Dagger exits to outside, Widowmaker fires his shotgun (loaded with slugs), hitting with a 31 for a critical hit! DC 26 toughness save for Dagger, and he gets a 23. So bruised and injured. Round Seven 34 Dagger (bruised, injured) 27 Foreshadow (unarmed, 2 HP) 24 Fade (unharmed) 21 Gunmen (2: 1 injured, bruised; 1 disabled) 17 Widowmaker (injured, bruised) 16 bodyguards (3) 6 Incendiary (unharmed) Foreshadow is up!

Just as everything seemed to be going wrong with the race, energy blasts began to rain down from above, causing Giang to look up at the sight of the spacecraft which were made to look like old sailing ships, making their way down as a voice was transmitted from the largest ship demanding surrender to Captain Kraken and his crew. Pulling the reins hard, the Asian teen brought them to a stop as she considered the attack briefly before looking back to her friends. "Not another pirate." She commented with a small shake of her head before swimming up from the coliseum to begin aiding in protecting the city.

So, what do we want to do? Goose is back with a working laptop once more, and Rose is back more active again as well. I kind of would like to keep this one moving, now that we are getting to the more interesting parts. What do the rest of you think?

Giang tensed slightly as the Admiral took the command chair and apparently started powering up the walker's weapon. But John stepped in first, ordering the Admiral away from the command chair and then the Marines to set the chargers and get the Sinkers detached and ready to help against the army of drowned zombies. When he turned to her and the others, telling them to get outside while he provided support from the walker, the Asian teen gave a small nod. She then moved so she passed close, whispering, "be careful with him, he can be a devious one, and driven by his desire for revenge." She then gave the clone hero a small smile, and moved past and back towards the hallway that would lead back to an airlock.

Okay, with him dazed, he won't get to try to break free from the mental grapple. So Synapse will try to keep it up on her turn: sigh, only an 18 for her Will check. My bad luck continues. On the off chance he misses that, DC 25 Will save to avoid damage again.

Dee nodded as Erick talked about Alaina and what she knew about him, as well as her reasons for moving out. "Yeah, I'm at least vaguely familiar with American Football." She commented as she allowed Erick to take her luggage, only keeping her carryon as she let him lead her into the house. "Edward?" She commented, as he asked about her older brother. "He is good, and yes, getting shot at considerably less. Still a bit annoyed with how things were rather hushed up at Sochi, but still glad to have had the opportunity to compete. Will likely be back in some training this Winter in Switzerland for Worlds, but has been getting more pressure from our father to start preparing himself for the day he inherits my father’s title and seat in the House of Lords."

For a few moments Deborah seemed like she was going to argue against any sort of protective custody or the like, but then she gave a resigned nod. "Alright, I'll go into protective custody, if for no other reason than I want to be there to see Andy go down for all this." She then gave a small smile at Amir's comments about the need for people like her and those she helped to get their stories out. "Well, not all ambition is bad. If it were not for ambition, where would we be? Would we have made all the advances we have? I rather doubt it. A bit of ambition can be a good thing, when mixed with other characteristics. Unfortunately some of the most ambitions just seem to be lack some of those others."

Wherever the teleporting woman was with Salkinov, Foreshadow could no longer see them to know what they were doing, but apparently the guy firing the blades seemed to think they were through the door ahead. Back up in the air out away from the balcony, the two last gunmen opened fire once again. One fired a burst at the fire using mercenary, but the shots once again hit the column the man was using as cover. Another fired at one of Salkinov's other bodyguards, hitting the man with three bullets, the impact knocking the man off his feet, where he crumpled on the floor in a heap. The two gunmen then released the stops on their harnesses, sending them sliding the rest of the way down their ropes and to the main floor. Widowmaker ran over to where he had been sitting when Foreshadow had first arrived, snatching up a Benelli M4 combat shotgun. The large man then started running over toward the outer wall of the building, not heading for any apparent exit. The three bodyguards still on their feet all ran forward, just managing to reach the railing of the balcony where they could see the two gunmen down below. Incendiary moved back out from behind his column, looking down at the floor below as he sent another jet of flame after the gunman who had shot at him. The blast hit the gunman squarely, knocking him off his feet as he crumpled into a smoking heap on the ground, completely unconscious. Dagger turned to glance over at Foreshadow who had run up beside him. Whatever was going through the man's mind, his full face mask hide any facial expressions which might have given the costumed crime fighter a hint. "Persistent, aren't you?" The mercenary asked, as he sprinted forward toward the door, just as he was about to pass through, he half turned, sweeping his right arm out behind him as the bracer on his forearm fired a thick blade at Foreshadow. But the vigilante was a far more difficult target than the hulking Widowmaker, and easily dodged the attack. Dagger continued on through the door into a hallway beyond, but more than close enough for Foreshadow to close with him.

One gunman shoots at Incendiary, 8. Another gunman shoots at one of the bodyguards, hitting with a 23, bodyguard’s toughness save vs DC 22: 11, so he goes down. They then repel down to the ground floor. The other 3 bodyguards use their entire round to move over to the edge of the balcony. Incendiary sends a fire blast down at one of the gunmen, hitting with a 27. DC 23 toughness save: 8, the gunman goes down. Round Six 34 Dagger (unharmed) 27 Foreshadow (unarmed, 2 HP) 24 Fade (unharmed) 21 Gunmen (2: 1 injured, bruised; 1 disabled) 17 Widowmaker (injured, bruised) 16 bodyguards (3) 6 Incendiary (unharmed) Dagger will continue moving, sending a blade back Foreshadow’s way (power attack -2 atk/+2 dam): missing with a 17. Foreshadow is up!

Aboard the disabled Communion ship If the other Communion drone was at all intimidated by Corona's show of force it showed no outward sign of it. Instead, the former humanoid insectoid alien regarding the Lor with its cold, mechanical eyes as its mouth opened and a screeching electrical sound came out. The drone then rushed forward towards Corona, slashing out with long, wicked claw-like fingers. The attack was faster than the Lor had anticipated, as it slashed across her right shoulder with several of the claws. Corona then felt everything shake, as the Communion ship was rocked by blasts from the pirate ships. She also could hear more movement outside of the Nomad. Out in space The three large pirate ships continued their fire on the two Communion vessels, with the majority of fire concentrated on the Communion ship still active and moving towards them. The flagship poured out the most weapons fire, blasts ripping into the Communion ship that the Nomad. The other Communion vessel took the blasts with seemingly less direct effect. If anyone had been paying close attention, they would have noted that the amount of fire coming from the pirate ship which had been rammed by the needle ships was slowly diminishing…

The other drone moves up to attack Corona, hitting with an 18. DC 24 toughness save for Corona please. HG, Memorial is up!

No sooner had Ana put up her wall of ice, than the large reptilian pirate moved forward, swinging a powerful fist at the wall with tremendous force. *WHAM* The entire wall shook as a large section was blasted out by the pirate's punch, showering Ana and Balus in powder and small chunks of ice. Sections along the edges of the wall broke off as well. The wall was still in place, but badly damaged, not affording the full cover it was intended to provide. The feline pirate captain once again took aim at Statshot, crouching low as she fired a blast at the augmented human. But this time she was a bit too focused on trying to avoid the next shot, and her blast flew well over Starshot’'s head.
