  1. Okay, Starshot is up!
  2. For a moment it seemed like Deep Freeze would catch the feline pirate in a icy blast, but at the last moment, the pirate leader leapt to the side, avoiding the blast altogether. The blast continued past, covering the side of a wall in thick ice. Then the hulking reptilian alien rushed forward, arms outstretched as it tried to grab ahold of Deep Freeze. But the small blonde woman easily rolled out of the hulking alien's path, coming back up to her feet a short distance away. The feline pirate took a position half behind a vendor's stand a she took aim at Starshot. "You could just save yourselves a lot of hassle and just hand over the satchel." She stated as she fired a well-aimed blaster shot at the augmented human. The blast struck Starshot in the right shoulder, but his heavy jacket bore the brunt of the blast. Balus continued to grip the satchel tightly, as he backed further away from the fighting.
  3. He gets a 6, so he is out.
  4. Normally that would be a hit, but Silver performed a total defense action, so it is a miss. The big pirate moves over and tries to grab Ana, missing with a 10. Round Two 28 Silver (unharmed) 16 Balus (unharmed) 14 Starshot (unharmed, 1 HP) 11 regular pirates (4) 7 Deep Freeze (unharmed, 1 HP) 7 Tough pirate (unharmed) Silver will use defensive attack (-3 atk/+3 def) and shoot at Starshot, hitting with a 28. So DC 20 toughness save for Starshot.
  5. The officer gave a small nod at Liquify's response. "Yeah, we understand why you took off in the getaway van to head to the rendezvous location. Not ideal, but still worth a shot. I was more talking about when you had everything at the other location under control." He gave a small shrug. "Anyway, probably not too big an issue in this case. I think we have more than enough on this guy as it is." The officer finished taking Liquify's statement and then thanked him and headed off to continue gathering other evidence. After a Coiled Lightning was done giving his statement as well, Sergeant Turner, the North End precinct FCPD officer that had contacted Coiled Lightning came over to the pair. "He, good job you two." He stated. "We have a warrant to go search Malone’s house, which is up in Lantern Hill. While he seems harmless enough, given he is associated with Slice and his group, I was wondering if you two wanted to come along just incase?"
  6. Dee started back at the sight of the Crocodile King biting into Erick with his massive maw. ERICK! She mentally shrieked to the other costumed hero (although he was not in costume at the moment). She was relieved that he seemed not to be too badly injured, but they needed to get him free of that grip, and quickly. "You know, if I was not such a conservationist, I'd say you would make a nice pair of boots." She replied, although there was little spirit behind her words. The Englishwoman was wondering if they had gotten into something much too big for them. But she could not quit now, as she sent a blast of red psychic energy at the creature’s mind. While the blast struck, he had a much stronger will than she would have anticipated, and shrugged the blast off with ease.
  7. Well, luckily shaken does not do anything to her mental powers. She will hit the King with a mental blast, DC 23 Will save.
  8. Paradigm gets a 9.
  9. Miss Grue is up!
  10. Deborah watched Amir closely as he began discussing why he felt that Topple could very well be planning to try to silence her, one way or another. She gave a small nod at his last, mostly rhetorical question about whether his small rant was rather dark. "Yes, it was a bit." She admitted. "But then that is why there needs to be people like me, to help support and protect those that are willing to put themselves at risk to help expose someone that feels similar to Topple, that they can do whatever they want, so long as no one catches them." She paused a moment, before continuing. "What are you proposing should be done to protect me then?"
  11. GM Miss Grue tried to attack the earth monster's mind once more, only to once again slip off it without making solid contact. With everyone having moved away or otherwise stop attacking it, the earth monster turned and started walking in the general direction of the town, creating huge craters in the ground with each step. Clover's hands glowed yellow as she and her other hand linked with one of her sister's once more. A yellow glowing platform appeared a short distance in front of Tsunami. "Hop on!" Clover yelled. "It will be faster than you running." Meanwhile, although she was bruised and battered, Crimson raised her free hand to send another blast of red energy at the earth monster. But her aim was just a little off, the blast passing a short distance behind the creature, as her hand shook slightly from the effort it was taking to raise it. Tundra's hands glowed as the rocks she and the twins were standing on began soaring over toward the river, coming to a halt a short distance above its surface. "Well, so far it is just ignoring us now that we are not in its way or attacking it any longer." She called out.
  12. The earth monster will ignore everyone and start off, heading in the general direction of town. Clover will create a glowing platform ahead of Tsunami for her to climb onto, while Crimson will fire another blast at the earth creature, but she misses with a 15. Tundra will move the rocks she, Clover and Crimson are riding on back over near the river, staying up in the air. Ulysses’ turn.
  13. Dee felt the pull reminiscent of their arrival in this dimension. Whatever this force was that had some connection to Ulysses, she was not at all certain she liked it, as it sent Ulysses back to where it had drawn him from. She just happened to be fortunate enough to have been nearby so he could make sure she and Annie came along to. Of course Bob was not so fortunate. Looking about at the ruins of Bob's Bangers, the young Englishwoman gave the firemen a small smile. "Afternoon, I will need to speak with Dr. Rost, a government physicist who should be outside." She stated with as much authority as she could muster. She then glanced back at Annie. "Yes, welcome to winter in Dover."
  14. Okay, there is atmosphere inside (was thinking of making it without, but decided to be nice). Rav, Corona is up. She can hear something (or some things) moving around outside the damaged Nomad.
  15. Synapse only gets a 17 for her Sense Motive check.
  16. The drone misses its toughness save by a lot with a 15, so is destroyed.
  17. Giang considered the Grue's suggested tactic for trying to draw the creature closer to the river. While there was the distinct possibility that disengaging completely from the creature would result in it turning its attention elsewhere, but there was the chance it could still work. Besides, once they had relocated, they could always make long distance attacks that might draw the creature's attention once more. Very well, it is at least worth a try. She mentally replied, as she turned back toward the river and starting running towards it. The Asian teen was still feeling a bit drained, so she was not able to move at a full sprint, but she still covered a good twenty yards towards the river bank.
  18. Round Fourteen 18 Tsunami (bruised, fatigued, 2 HP) 14 Earth Monster (bruised 6) 9 Clover (staggered, bruised) 9 Crimson (bruised 2, staggered) 9 Tundra (bruised) 8 Ulysses (1 HP) 7 Miss Grue (bruised 3, 1 HP) Sadly that misses Tiff. Tsunami will take two move actions this round toward the river (she cannot move all out due to being fatigued).
  19. Dee glanced over at Annie, noting the other woman's despair in the destruction of her creation. While the young Englishwoman could somewhat understand the feeling, there still was the fact that the automaton had been designed to cause destruction and likely death. But, there was still the possibility that Annie might indeed turn a new leaf, as the saying went. "I will keep my word." She replied. "You just remember my warnings." But then Ulysses came over, indicating that they apparently were about to be drawn back home. Dee wasted no time in grabbing one of the extended hands. Although she had been pulled over the first time without actually touching Ulysses, it certainly was best not to take chances. "You heard him!" She stated to Annie, before she remembered Bob as well, just as Ulysses brought him up. She did not like that he was being left behind, but he had still been in the hospital when they had set out to search for the Thuggee and Annie. "We will find a way back for him, I promise."
  20. Paradigm listened to Elite's plan carefully, as tactics was the former Murian officer's area of expertise. There was of course no reason to question the plan or Elite's reasoning, so the Naram gave a nod as she replied. "Understood. I will move to the far side to be prepared to exit once the antimatter burst is triggered. As for quickly returning back to the Either Ore once it is able to use its FTL drives, I certainly agree you should make all haste back, but depending on the circumstances, I may stay a bit longer to further delay the Communion. After all, I am capable of FTL flight equal to the Devotion, so I should have little trouble catching up." With that, she turned and looked back at Samran-86. "Once the drives are ready, give my people a chance to get aboard, but do not hesitate to make the jump if I am the only one still out there. Good luck captain."
  21. Dee could feel the concussive force of the blast as it struck her telekinetic dome, blasting the psychic energy construct apart as it did so. Luckily, the dome took the brunt of the explosion, but so to a degree did Dee's mind. As the dome was blasted apart, Dee staggered backward and collapsed onto the ground, the remaining force of the blast washing over her as it sent dust and small debris flying about. When the dust settled, she could faintly hear Annie and Ulysses speaking through some ringing in her ears. Pushing herself up, the Englishwoman looked back over at the ruins of the robot, and the crater its explosion had caused. Reaching up with one hand towards her face, Dee brushed aside some blood from a faint nosebleed as she climbed back up to her feet. "It was a good thing we dealt with that up here." She stated, looking again at the destruction. "Could have been a lot worse."
  22. Okay, so discussion has come back up about whether our ships should have armaments. The pervious array of weapons I listed were pretty spendy, but maybe something more straightforward? So far we have 28 pp of equipments points donated (24 from me, and 1 each from Rob, Ex, Tiff and lazer) for 140 ep. We could add the follow weapon system: Blast 10 (Extra: Penetrating 5; Feats: Improved Range 2 (500 foot increment); Progression (Range) 2 (5,000 feet max range) [29 pp] That would put the total cost for each ship at 70ep. So we have just enough for two. In the coming months we could get a few more contributions from everyone to give us points for a HQ (which are much less expensive). Thoughts?
  23. Sure, go ahead and post IC.
  24. Paradigm glanced over to Kharag giving him a small nod. "It is likely time for you to prepare for boarders. Duty unto death my friend." She started. The Naram paragon then turned back to regard the depths of space and the sensor readings showing the approaching Communion ships. Activating her communicator, she called back to the Devotion. "Paradigm to Devotion. Elite, as I am sure you are aware, we have more Communion inbound. Repairs to the Either Ore's FTL drive is still underway, so we need to buy them more time. Kharag is preparing to assist with any boarders, but could likely use some reinforcements. I am preparing to head back out to try to stop or slow down the Communion. Of course, I always value your insights. What other options do you believe we might have?"
