"Ah yes, so you were." Dee replied with a small grin as Erick reminded her of how part of that chase in Sochi had turned out for him. "Pity you missed some of the best parts, always the next time." She added as she began to study the buildings of the Wading Way as they headed down into the heart of Freedom City's Financial District. The Englishwoman did perk up when Erick mentioned having a grav bike. "Really? Now that sounds like something I have to see, although I suppose taking it out for a spin would have to wait until dark, even in this town." Looking out the windshield, she saw the trio of twisting towers that rose up above most of the Freedom City skyline. "So, that is Pyramid Plaza right?"

HG, they are minions, so let’s just go with you taking 10 the first time, so you hit and save the HP. And it gets a natural 20 on its toughness save. Eventually something is going to have to miss a toughness save.

Okay, for the start of the combat, Silver is going to use the defense action, and boost her defense. The elite pirate will move forward to attack Starshot with a melee weapon, missing with a 13. Balus is also going to use the defense action. So, Starshot is up!

Widowmaker takes a swing at Foreshadow, getting a 22, which is not bad for him, but not nearly good enough. So... Round Two 27 Foreshadow (unarmed, 1 HP) 17 Widowmaker (unharmed)
-
Okay, Widowmaker cannot beat that, so that hits, a lot of times, but his Impervious soaks it all up.

"Hmm, I could imagine there have been quite a few odd collections of Powers show up from time to time in this city." Dee commented with a smile. But the smile faded some when Erick asked about Vanguard. "Well, we are still going, somewhat. We probably should have known it would not start well when we were brought in to figure out what happened to the last team." Dee decided not to focus any longer on the past events with her team, instead focusing on the present. "Well, while an excuse to come back is nice, most amusement parks tend to be something of a disappointment." The Englishwoman stated. "I mean, it is hard for something to compare with driving a snowmobile at high speeds down a luge course with bullets whizzing about."
-
So, you have never heard of him! Round One 27 Foreshadow (unarmed, 1 HP) 17 Widowmaker (unharmed)
-
Okay, this time we will need an initiative roll. Also give me a Gather Info roll (for you Well Informed to kick in).

"Ah, well, that is a problem." Salinov began. "I do have a number of questionable clientele, but regardless, I do not make it a point to discuss my clients. Bad for business, as I am sure you can appreciate." The arms dealer replied with a casual wave of his hand. His expression then became much more serious as he focused back on Foreshadow fully. "So it would seem that you will need to try to be more persuasive. Something I am sure I will not enjoy. But it will not be as easy as that I am afraid." Salinov stated firmly. "Widowmaker, I believe I am paying you for protection." At that comment, a large, blond haired man took a step forward, placing himself between Foreshadow and Salinov, cracking his knuckles as he did so. The man was solidly built, but the crime fighter had faced plenty of similarly built opponents.

So, Memorial is up, and the situation has changed drastically!

Corona was able to make it back over to the Nomad, not seeing any sign of where Galvanic had gone to, but then the Tempestian was quite fast. The small, fast needle ships were closing quickly, the large ships moving at a slower pace. Over by those larger ships, Galvanic found they seemed to be paying her little mind, as they continued forward toward the pirate and merchant ships. The small needle like spacecraft she had passed by earlier continued forward, none of them turning back to follow her. The three larger pirate ships began opening fire, bright beams of energy lancing through the darkness of space toward the Communion ships. The small needle ships nimbly arched out of the way of the power blasts, but the larger ships took a number of hits from the pirate ships, although the damage appeared minimal at this range. The dozen needle ships out in front of the main Communion ships closed with collection of pirate, merchant and Lor law enforcement ships, several opening fire as they did. One of the pirate interceptors exploded in a flash from one of the blasts, and a few shots hit some of the larger pirate vessels, but their heavier armor and shielding took the hits with minimal effect. Two of the needle ships exploded into clouds of silver dust as they were hit by fire some smaller weapon emplacements on the larger pirate ships. Three of the needle ships dove in toward the Aphelion, dodging some laser fire from the pirate vessels as they went. The ships did not fire at the merchant vessel, and instead crashed headlong into its length, one striking back toward the rear engine section, one towards the middle, and one up closer toward the front and main command section. Aboard the Aphelion, Mechanized and Memorial's conversation was interrupted by impacts that shook the entire ship. Down either side of the hallway, they saw part of the hull explode outward, as long, thin, needlelike ships of smooth silver metal pierced through. Memorial instantly recognized the Communion ships. Small, iris like hatches opened, on the needle ships, reveling four figures emerging from inside. They were a variety of shapes and races, once, now each had their skin covered with similar silver metal as the needle ship, and as they opened their mouths, shrill, distorted electronic screeching echoed through the long hallway of the merchant vessel. While the large Communion ships seemed to pay Galvanic little heed directly, that did not mean that they did not act. Another half dozen of the small needle ships launched from the two larger ships. Three turned and started toward the battle around the Aphelion, while three banked around sharply to come towards the Tempestian. Green energy rippled down the length of the fighters before launching from tapered points in angry blasts. All three blasts stuck Galvanic, sending convulsions of pain through her electrical form, but she managed to resist the combined fire. From one side of the pirate flagship, three more of the small interceptors launched into space, ready to join the fierce battle that had erupted.

Some new needle fighters launch to engage Galvanic, all three hit with 18, 23 and 23, that is 3 DC 20 Fort saves for Galv!

Most of the crowd still around Foreshadow watched him as he moved toward the edge of the balcony, some edging away as he drew close. A few more on the outskirts of the crowd took the chance to try to flee as well, but the majority just remained rooted in place. The costumed crime fighter's grappling hook in his escrima stick carried him across the open space to the main floor below. A mass of figures crowded that floor, pressed together on the makeshift dance floor as the heavy bass beat of the dance music echoed through the old warehouse. As Foreshadow drew closer to the opposite side, the crowd of people gathered along that opposite balcony spotted him, ducking down as he swung overhead, landing in an open area beyond them. The costumed crime fighters sudden arrival once again created quite a bit of surprise, as people began to scatter, and others froze in place. Back against the opposite wall, in a large booth, was a group of several men and women that instantly focused on Foreshadow's arrival. Most of the women let out cries of panic, moving to duck down under the table or hide as best they could. Most of the men stood up, and several were rather large bodyguard types. One however remained in a partially reclined position, a half smile on his face. Grigory Salnikov. "Well, the infamous Foreshadow. To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Machinefist dodged back from the uppercut that Freddy aimed at him. Moving back a few steps as he tried to refocus himself. "You are a tough one." He commented with a small grin. "I guess we will see just how tough." Outside, Catseye had satisfied herself that there was no other pursuit from the heroes that had appeared to disrupt the exchange of the stolen statue. Turning back away, she ran off once more, rounding a corner and disappearing out of sight. Back in the warehouse, the two club wielding thugs had closed with Freddy once more, each swinging their weapons at him. Freddy brought up his left arm to catch the first, the club hitting with a *THWACK*, but causing little more than a bit of sting to the tough fighter. But as he focused on that club, the second hit him on the right side of the head, causing spots to flash in front of his eyes as he staggered forward slightly, dazed by the hit.
-
Yeah, that is a bruise and a daze. Lucy is up once again.
-
Catseye will make herself scarce. Meanwhile the two thugs will rush Mess, both hitting with a 22 and 20, which means two DC 18 toughness saves for Mess.
-
Okay Rav, Corona is up!

Dee gave a smile as Erick mentioned that despite his various team ups with other Powers, he had almost exclusively kept his identity a secret. "Well, you certainly know how to make a girl feel special." She stated in a teasing voice. "But then, I suppose you do tend to operate in Powers central, so I would imagine there are far more opportunities for teaming up." "I have to admit I have been a bit cavalier with my identity thus far, but then I have not really had as many opportunities to team up with other Powers thus far. Of course there were my fellow Vanguard members, and there was this one hero with whom I ended up in an alternate dimension for a bit. Though he was an older gentleman." The young Englishwoman had focused her attention out the windows as they went along, taking in the sites of Freedom City.

Giang frowned slightly as the Admiral mentioned the Drowned Man. This was the second time she had heard the name mentioned, the first had been by the ghost pirate, Captain Blood, who had been trying to sink a passenger ship, claiming he had promised the lives of those aboard to this Drowned Man. Clearly that was a direct attempt to further swell the ranks this Drowned Man had to command. Looking out at the army of undead walking along the bottom of the ocean, she did not really fell fear, but certainly there was much to be concerned about given this Drowned Man's apparent goals. "That is where you are wrong, there is always hope." She began, turning back to the Admiral. "The first step is to deny him this vessel, after that, we can pursue other avenues to deal with this Drowned Man."

"Very well, then we are decided." Amara replied as the missions and teams were agreed upon. "Both of the Aquila should be checked over Traveller, just so we can be sure they are in proper operating condition." The Praetorians then made their way down to the hanger where the two ancient spacecraft were being prepared by the Curator’s automated systems. Looking at the sleek, tear drop shaped spacecraft was both reassuring to the young Naram, but also served to bring back memories of two thousand years ago. Pushing the thoughts aside, Amara focused on helping check over the vehicles. A short time later, the vessels were ready, with supplies provided by the Curator loaded aboard. The Praetorians all gathered outside in the hanger before boarding their respective Aquila. Amara moved forward toward Traveller and those going with her to follow up on Moon-Moth's theory. "Best speed my friends, and may you always be victorious." She stated. "We have sworn to perform our duties, even unto death, but I do hope that such will not be necessary this time. We will let you know when we make contact with the Lor." As the various Praetorians boarded their respective Aquila, Amara stopped a moment, looking back at VINCE's holographic form. "Farewell, VINCE, we thank you for your assistance. Things have certainly change, but the Curator's former actions must still be addressed in time. There were tens of thousands of other cryotubes in that chamber. I would expect some effort to be made to wake and free those within." With that, she turned, her long black cape billowing slightly behind her, as she strode about the Aquila, ready to set off once again into battle with the Communion.

GM The earth monster tried to pull itself free from Ulysses grip, but the steam powered hero held tight and maintained his grip on the creature's leg. The earth monster let out a roar as it was unable to free itself. After a moment's pause, the monster strained once more against the hero’s grip, this time managing to pull itself free as it managed to push itself back up to its feet. Tundra brought the bits of earth with the two dazed young women down towards the ground and jumped up onto one of them and brought them back higher up into the air. So, how do you propose we draw it towards the river? She asked over the mental link Miss Grue had established.
