Okay, randomly picking a pirate (the elite and tough pirates are in the middle of the range) 1d12 = 11, so one of the average pirates. He misses his toughness save, so is unconscious and blasted backwards down the hallway. Go ahead and post IC.

Balus gave a small nod at Oskar and Ana's urging, then slowly raised one hand to point towards an object sitting on a small shelf behind Uloc. The object was an unusual one. Small enough to sit on either of the displaced human's hands, it was made of a bronze colored metal, and had several spurs or spikes of the metal jutting out in all directions from what seemed to be a small golden colored core. It certainly appeared to be incomplete, or broken, but almost as if it was the frame for some three dimensional puzzle. "Oh that." Uloc muttered, looking at the object a moment. "That is very expensive. Very expensive indeed." "My employer is willing to pay quite generously for the object." Balus replied, reaching into one pocket to draw out a credit stick, which he seemed prepared to place into the reader that was buried among some of the brick-a-brack covering the countertop.

Deborah returned Amir’s smile as he arrived. "Good morning Mr. al-Misri, it is very good to see you again as well." She replied in a friendly, honest tone. "I do hope this time we will not find ourselves interrupted by supervillains looking for a fight. Something I expect you are a bit more used to however." She sat aside the menu that she had been looking through, focusing on Amir instead as he took his seat. "So, I have actually been expecting that we would be talking more ever since the incident at Topple's little event. Although probably best that it was not right away, given the circumstances." "So, I expect you are interested in what it was that I had brought to Topple's attention late last year."

Paradigm glanced back over her shoulder as the last needle ship changed course and started towards the Either Ore, apparently deciding to focus on the vulnerable merchant ship instead of her. Banking back around, the Praetorian accelerated to her top speed, as she streaked after the Communion vessel. Surging forward as she began to gain on the needle ship, Paradigm brought her arms in front of her as she braced herself for impact with the silvery craft. They were only a few hundred feet from the Either Ore when she collided with the needle ship, smashing through the metal hull and causing the vessel to explode in a silvery cloud. The Naram pulled herself short as she continued past, slowing back down now that the immediate threat was dealt with. There was another Communion vessel fast approaching, but she had at least bought them a brief respite. Paradigm flew back over toward the Either Ore’s airlock to join Kharag for the moment.

Velocity had read through a number of medical books in less than a second and the moved over to provide some rapid chest compressions on Robert. Thankfully the quick treatment worked, and the young English lord began breathing once again, even if he was still unconscious. With Robert out of immediate danger, the speedster left him to rest on the sofa in the library, as she sped back down to the cellar. There she found that Grim still had the Duke well in hand, the cyborg Dutchman still appearing to be on the ropes and dazed. "Alright Duke, are you read to just surrender and make this easy for you? So far no one has been too seriously hurt, so you should not have too serious of charges against you. Perhaps something can be done to help you, but you need to stop fighting and lying to us." The speedster said, although she was not sure how easy it would be to get Grim to settle down.

Okay, just waiting on Mechanized now SG.

GM "It certainly appears as if they have made their way down there." Zandar replied to Gene's question. "There is little else down there but the ruins, and no other means of exit." The Jungle Lord paused a moment then said with a small smile. "Well, no other easy means of exiting the valley. I suppose it could be possible, if extremely difficult, to climb out, or exit by other means." He looked over toward Sam and Juno as he spoke. "As for what lies in the ruins down there, I cannot say for certain, for I have never explored them. But I can say from experience that ruins here are better left alone."

GM The crowd around the new Praetorians was thinning, as the older members came forward to congratulate the newer members, then had to depart to attend to their many duties. It was not long before only the newer members remained, and with not much in the way of duties thus far, they were free to follow Traveller as she lead the group out of the Praetorians’ hall and off toward the Old Town of the Delaztri capital. The Old Town sat at the lower level of the center of the capital, down among the foundations for the soaring spires and connecting platforms that made up the heart of the modern capital. The buildings were older, built from older materials, although often with some more modern technological amenities. The streets were crowded with beings hailing from numerous races throughout the Empire and beyond. Soon, they had arrived at the bar that Taveller had spoken about.

Paradigm will charge after the last needle ship (+2 atk/-2 defense) and use the basic All-Out Attack everyone can make per our house rules for another (+2 atk/-2 defense). She probably hits this time with a 28, DC 30 toughness save.

The regular pirates are the minions Rav, so that hit, and he is out.

The Aphelion The pirate that had initially shot at Mechanized earlier, and avoided being knocked over by her ground strike yelled something in an unknown language, pointing over at the human in the power armor. He then turned towards Memorial, drawing a sword that crackled with energy as he moved forward, swinging it at her. Memorial glided out of the way, right into the path of the energy sword of the other pirate, which slammed into her side. She was able to feel the impact damage some of her systems, and she drifted back from him slightly, dazed by the attack. Meanwhile the rest of the pirates climbed back to their feet, and once again release volleys of fire at Mechanized. As before, about half the shots hit her power armor, the other half missing. Those that hit deflected harmlessly away. The Pirate Flagship The pirate Corona had left behind in the cargo hold came running up to the door, lifting is blaster up and firing it at the Lor officer once more. Once again Corona was able to dodge the attack, following that up by avoiding the blaster shot from the last pirate still on his feet in the hallway.
-
Ouch HG. Next on the Aphelion, all the normal pirates get back up on their feet, and fire at Mechanzied once again. Group 1: 2 hits and 2 misses, Group 2: also 2 hits and 2 misses, which means all the shots glance harmlessly off Mechanized. On the flagship, the pirate in the cargo hold runs up to the door, then he and the other pirate still on his feet in the hallway shoot at Corona, both missing. So, Mechanized is up on the Aphelion, Corona is up on the flagship.
-
Okay, on the Aphelion The two Elite pirates are going to both attack Memorial with melee attacks. One is going to use aid to help the first, succeeding with a 21, so +3 to the second Elite pirate. The second Elite pirate will power attack -3 atk/+3 damage, he hits with a 24, so DC 25 toughness save for Memorial.
-
Okay, the tough pirate gets a http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4727581/'>25 against the hit, so picks up a bruise. He cannot beat that Grapple, so you grapple him and throw him, but miss the other Broan. He does hit the wall though, and the wall completely fails its toughness save, so he goes through it. He gets a 12 on his toughness save, so I am just going to say he is out.

Round Five 24 Pirate Interceptor pilots (3) (unharmed) 24 Galvanic (unharmed, 2 HP) 17 Elite Pirates (1 on flagship: bruised, dazed) 16 Average Pirates 15 Mechanized (unharmed, 2 HP) 12 Corona (unharmed, fatigued, 1 HP) 12 Sovereign (unharmed) 7 Memorial (unharmed, 1 HP) 3 Tough Pirates (1 on flagship: bruised, dazed) Galv is up!

The Aphelion After dodging Memorial's attack, one of the large space pirates brought his huge fist up over his head and tried to bring it down onto the Beleran. But Memorial was able to glide to the side and out of the attack's path. That move however put her right in the path of a swing from the other large pirate. But Memorial was able to bring up her right arm at the last moment, taking the blow on the forearm and partially deflecting it. The Pirate Flagship The Broan remaining on his feet raised up the thick club he was carrying and swung it at Galvanic. The thick weapon struck the Tempestian on the side, but she was able to brace against the blow, absorbing the damage with little effect. An arch of electricity lashed back out in response to the strike, dancing up the Broan's arm and causing it to growl in pain, but otherwise seeming to have no other ill effects as well.

No, not quite yet SG, I need to finish up the current round and start the next one. The average pirates and elite pirates will get to act before Mecha does again, I'll let you know when you are up once more. As I mentioned in PM, the flamethrower does not have to be lethal damage, but, as a large area effect, it could cause a lot of collateral damage to the inside of the merchant ship.

The man looked down at the "water" that spilled out of the box, a look of surprise on his face as that water reformed into a humanoid form. He then looked back to Coiled Lightning as the other hero drew and activated his electrical whip. The main raised his hands up into the air at about shoulder height. "Well, I certainly do not want any trouble." He stated, as he stepped slowly away from the Volvo. Now that he was out of the box, Liquify took in his surroundings. There was nothing particularly suspicious about the man Coiled Lightning had apparently been taking with, or the Volvo parked there either, other than they were at the place marked on the getaway driver's map. In fact, the way the man was dressed he could easily fit in with most of the professors at FCU.

Okay, the two tough pirates facing Memorial will attack, getting a 7 and 25 so a miss and a hit, DC 25 toughness save for Memorial. Over on the flagship, the unharmed tough pirate will attack Galv, hitting with a 14 given her low defense at the moment. DC 25 toughness save for her as well. That pirate makes his toughness save against Galv’s reaction damage with a 23.

Chicago, Illinois 95th Floor of the John Hancock Building Wednesday November 5, 2014, 11:45 AM Situated on the Ninety-fifth floor of the John Hancock building, the Signature Room offered some of the most breathtaking views of Chicago, all in elegant dining rooms spaced around the entire floor. It was a rare day that the restaurant was not filled with a mixed crowd of tourists and business people from the city. Today was certainly not the exception, and there was hardly an empty table in the restaurant. Deborah Magson sat at a table near the windows looking out over Lake Michigan. She was a slightly heavyset woman in her early thirties, dressed in a navy blue suit. She had curly, shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes and was currently waiting for another to arrive for lunch. It had been some three months since the incident during the Fourth Annual Inspiration Celebration in Freedom City, when a group of supervillains called the Zodiac had attacked the event, apparently at the behest of the event’s chief sponsor and organizer, Andrew Topple, CEO of Topple Enterprises. Since then, Topple had been arrested and indicted on several charges. Of course, he had been able to hire excellent legal counsel, and was currently free on bail while things progressed, somewhat slowly, towards a possible trial. Topple was doing his best to stay out of the public eye currently, and his business certainly had suffered some setbacks in the wake of the scandal. Deborah was a potential witness at the trial, but did her best to just continue focusing on her work running Steamwhistle Limited, an online whistleblower website. She was in Chicago on business related with her company, and had been a bit surprised when she had been contacted about this lunch meeting. But, she had been more than happy to agree, and thus was currently drinking a glass of water while she waited for Amir al-Misri to arrive.
-
A few hours later…. "This is Nancy Norrington for Channel 3, WNTW, once again reporting from North Bay Yacht Club. Earlier this evening I reported on the kickoff for the Fourth Annual Inspiration Celebration that was taking place aboard the luxurious yacht owned by Andrew Topple. As you can see behind me, the Rebel has made its way back to the harbor, but this time to waiting police cars as opposed to just photographers and news cameras." "Details are few at the moment, but apparently the event came under attack by a group of supervillains calling themselves the Zodiac. Luckily there were several superpowered individuals on hand at the event to help drive them off. But apparently Andrew Topple has been implicated in hiring the supervillains to attack the event. As the chief sponsor and founder of the event, it is currently unclear what his motivation could be." "And now we can see the police making their way down the gang plank, with Andrew Topple handcuffed between them. Several of the heroes responsible for stopping the attack are following not far behind. There is Riff, the rockstar superhero, as well as a new hero, Titan. Also present is multi-billionaire businessman Amir al-Misir, also known as the superhero Asad." “The police have loaded Topple into the back of the squad car and are taking him in to be booked. I am going to see if I can get in close to ask some questions from one of the heroes present, but whatever the case, I am sure this is not the last we will be hearing about these events.â€

I think your mixing up the fights, neither of the big guys on the merchant ship have been hurt yet. The hurt one is over on the flagship fighting the others. Anyway, that is a miss.

Okay Shoe, I think you went and changed a lot more than you needed to, as things seem a bit off now. Stats: Are fine, save that you have three stats with odd numbers in them (Str, Dex and Cha). That is 3 pp that are not doing anything for you. As I total everything, you are actually 3 pp over budget, so drop those odd numbers and everything should be fine. Combat: I think things are a bit mixed up here. You list only 12 pp spent on BAB, but list your attack as +7. I think you mean it is +6? Also, you need to list what you attack is with various powers (such as having +8 with the Blast (assuming you BAB is +6)). I think your BDB is now +7? Just list that, and then what it is flat footed. Saves: +3 Protection and 2 ranks of Defensive Roll is only +7 Toughness. This means you are below you PL cap for defense/toughness. Skills: Fine, though your Kn: Arcane Lore and Perform skills seem rather light (2-3 ranks is pretty much a novice). I would suggest maybe dropping a couple feats and boosting those some (but your call). Feats: I count 21 feast, not 20 as you list. There are a few that you probably should just drop. Improved Sunder is not likely one you will see much use of, I would suggest dropping it. Also, Sneak Attack 2 breaks your caps, I would drop both those ranks as well. That would give you 2 pp for other things. Also, you MUST list what Perform the Fascinate (Perform) is for, seeing as you have two different perform skills. Powers: For the Array: First, one of the six powers you list should be the base power, meaning you only have 5 alt powers (and the power only costs 19 pp instead of 20) Levitation is still leaving a lot of the points unused, as I suggested, you might want to add some ranks of Move Object (telekinesis) to the slot, but your choice). Flock of Doves: You don’t have the power priced right. Stun normally costs 2 pp per rank. You have Selective and Area: Cone (for +2 extras) and a flaw: dazed only (-1), so it would cost 3 pp per rank. 5 ranks would be 15 pp. You could reduce it from being ranged to zero range (the cone starting from you instead of at range), which would drop it down to 2 pp per rank. Then it would only cost 10 pp, allowing you to pick up at least 2 more ranks (up to Stun 7). Puff of Smoke: you have priced the teleport wrong as well. Teleport 5 gives you a short range teleport of 500’. Picking up the Short Range flaw means you can only teleport 500’, and not use the full round action to teleport further. Not being able to teleport long range, you do not need the Easy feat, so drop that. As you have it, with only Change Direction and Change Velocity, the power only costs 7 pp. I would suggest adding the Accurate extra, making it 12 pp (and allowing you to teleport to places you cannot see, such as out of a water filled tank to the backstage of a theater). Scarves: also slightly priced wrong. Snare 6 with a flaw is 6 pp plus the four feats you have is 10 pp. Also, you cannot have Accurate 3, as that adds +6 to your BAB (which I believe is supposed to be +6), that would be +12 attack for a 6 rank, which breaks caps. At best you could have Accurate 2. Super Strength 3 only costs 6 pp, not 7, which frees up a pp. Protection 3 only costs 3 pp, not 6, which frees up 3 pp.
