  1. So YoF, a few things for your character. For your combat, you are at the bare minimum we allow for BAB vs feats. Perhaps consider adjusting that some? What is the character going to do if his railgun is taken away? Your Toughness is just under caps. You really should try to hit the caps. Skills: There is no Knowledge (Law), you want Knowledge (Civics), which includes law. We also do not really use the skill Profession, (and its spelled Attorney). Depending on what type of law the character practices, that profession can be covered by other skills. Knowledge (Civics) would cover a lot of it, if he is a trial attorney, maybe ranks in Perform (Oratory). Powers: For the Keepsake Collection, why are they only usable by your character? (not saying that has to change, just think it needs some explanation). Also, you need to note this is hard to lose (although I question why that is the case, for example, the railgun should probably be easy to lose). For the Railgun, how is it Subtle? Your firing a weapon that looks like a regular handgun, not sure how that would be subtle? Also, want to make sure you understand how Improved Range works, all that does is increase your range increments, in this case you would have a range increment of 500’ before you start taking range penalties. However, the maximum range does not change, so it stays 1,000’. You should note by the feat that it gives you a 500’ range increment.
  2. No, he stayed on his feet.
  3. After Paradigm had smashed one of the Communion needle ships, the other two looped back around and flew straight at the Naram, trying to ram into her. She was able to just avoid the first, but the second came streaking straight at her. Paradigm brought her arms up in front of her as the needle ship collided. But Paradigm was far tougher and heavier than she appeared and the needle ship exploded around her as the Naram was not budged or injured. As the cloud of silver metal dissipated around her, Paradigm focused on the remaining Communion needle ship, and streaked off after it, aiming to ram into the needle ship. But the Communion ship rolled to one side as Paradigm approached, and the Naram paragon failed to connect.
  4. The Pirate Flagship Corona ignored the pirate in the cargo hold and flew out into the hallway beyond where Galvanic was facing a number of the pirates. Flying over to one of the pirates in the middle of the new group, the Lor officer delivered a powerful strike that sent cosmic energy blasting through the corridor. Galvanic was able to brace against the explosion, emerging unharmed. Five of the smaller pirates were blasted off their feet, sent flying back down the corridor or into walls, where they fell to the ground unconscious. One of the pirates managed to somehow remain on his feet, appearing unharmed. Another pirate was blasted off his feet and back down the corridor. While he appeared hurt, he was still on his feet. Both the two large Broan were hit by the blast, one knocked off his feet, dazed but still conscious. The other was able to brace against the blast and emerged relatively unscathed.
  5. Average pirates: 2 make the reflex save. And only one of the ones that made the reflex save makes the toughness save, so 5 of the pirates are down. The Elite pirate misses the Reflex save, he gets a 20 on his toughness save, so is bruised and dazed. Both tough pirates miss their reflex saves, one makes the toughness save, the other misses by 7 so is bruised and dazed.
  6. Paradigm will fly after the last needle ship with a charge (+2 atk/-2 def), but likely misses with a 16.
  7. Giang had moved carefully through the walker, staying close with Myrmidon and the others as they went. She wished the Marines had remained back with the submersible, but they were insistent on continuing to search the walker. At least keeping them close would allow her and the others to keep an eye on them, and keep them safe. As she went, the Asian teen kept a look out for any sign the dark water she and Temperance had pulled from the Atlanteans. When they reached the bridge, Giang focused on the figure in the center chair, recognizing the man as the Admiral that she had helped to stop along with Creys and Mali over a year ago. The man looked in much worse shape than when she had seen him previously. Causing the teen to focus on the man, looking for any signs of the dark water within him as well. "What is so wrong Adrmial?" She asked, taking a few steps forward ahead of the others.
  8. "We have had the guys in the lab look it over." Erickson replied. "It is indeed eighty years old. It was likely dropped by whomever stole the other contents of the time capsule while they were fleeing through the alley where you found it." The detective paused for a moment, then continued. "As for why it was in the time capsule, well, like the cloak and gloves, it does not fit with the other contents of the capsule. Given the timing of Simmons disappearance in relation to the old Garrote murders, it seems rather possible that Zeke Simmons was the Garrote. Though what happened to him after he was wounded by the patrol officer who came across him is still something of a mystery." Lance shook his head at Coiled Lightning’s question about whether there was any relation between Bittman and Simmons. "No, I have not been able to uncover any connection between Bittman and Simmons. I have been able to learn that Simmons had a son, Tony Simmons, who was about ten in 1933. But I have not been able to uncover anything on him."
  9. Picking up the box containing Liquify, Coiled Lightning quickly realized that the liquid hero's weight was going to be something of a problem. While Liquify might be liquid, he still weighed his normal weight, which was hard for Charlie to lift. It was so heavy, that the electric whip using hero could only move slowly toward the other car. The man moved back into sight from around behind the Volvo, looking back over toward the van and the approaching Charlie. "Well, hurry up! Where are the others, and where is Slice?" The man called, seeming rather impatient. Charlie was about halfway toward the Volvo when the box, which was not designed to hold a hundred and fifty pounds of liquid, gave out, the bottom ripping open and Liquify spilling out on the ground…
  10. The Aphelion Mechanized stepped forward as the blaster fire of the various pirates glanced harmlessly off her armor. Bringing her fists up above her head, she slammed it down on the deck of the merchant ship with a loud *WHAM*. The powerful strike caused the deck to buckle as a shockwave reverberated along the deck toward the gathered pirates. Several of them managed to brace themselves against the shaking deck, remaining on their feet, but five of the pirates were knocked completely off their feet and onto the ground. The Pirate Flagship The large Boran managed to step back from Galvanic's powerful double handed strike at just the last moment. Around the corner behind the two Boran, half a dozen more pirates came into view, a collection of several different alien species. In the cargo hold, the last remaining pirate still on his feet in the room brought his weapon up and fired at Corona. But the Lor officer had already started moving aside, easily dodging out of the path of the blast, which struck the wall behind her.
  11. Okay, it has been more than 24 hours, so I will be moving things ahead. HG, Memorial is up on the Aphelion. The last pirate in the cargo hold with Corona shoots at here, but misses with a 14. So Rav, Corona is up.
  12. So that would be soaked up by Paradigm’s 12 ranks of Impervious.
  13. Dee did not respond to Y Dderwen's boast about her inability to force him to do anything. Whether the claim was true or not, the last thing they needed was for her to get into an argument with him over something so trivial when he seemed willing to talk with them. She frowned slightly as he explained what had happened, both in the village, and with the Vanguard. "You don't need to tell me about needless sacrifice." She stated in a flat tone. "That does not quite sound like Champion, but I certainly do not trust Headcase. In any event, we have regained access to the Sanctuary, but thus far have not been able to unlock any of the key databanks." She then continued. "Do you have any idea where Champion or Headcase might be, or where they might have gone?"
  14. Would not be the first time someone claiming to be a god has been running around. Dee replied mentally as she moved over toward the door as Erick moved up to it to knock. The young Englishwoman surrounded herself with her telekinetic forcefiled in anticipation of possible trouble. Glancing back toward Professor Zaki, she realized he was standing in possibly one of the worst places to be if whomever was inside the door proved hostile. "Professor, could you please move back over here and around the corner?" She stated, indicating a place around the corner from the entrance, and thus not immediately in danger should there be some lurking behind the door.
  15. Dee focused her gaze on Annie Key, the red glow of telekinetic energy still surrounding the young Englishwoman. "I said I agreed with some of the things you said, but I certainly do not agree with your methods." She began. "You are intelligent, and a talented mechanic, I know, I have taken apart a number of your bombs and traps thus far. You should be using that intelligence and skill to help make the India and the world a better place for everyone, not killing those you feel are oppressing you, even if they are oppressing you." "I come from a world that is very different than this one. In my world, a man named Mahatma Gandhi led a movement of nonviolent civil disobedience to gain India's independence from the British Empire. You meanwhile, cooperate with men that wish to bring death and misery to as many as they can. I know, I have looked into the mind of one of the priests of Khali that led me here. Are these really the people you want to be remembered as associating with?"
  16. The shock Dee had received had shaken her so she was only partially aware of her surroundings, even after Ulysses had managed to eliminate the smoke screen Annie Key had deployed. But the young Englishwoman was eventually able to focus on the scene as Ulysses, apparently under the control of some other force, grasped the young Annie and appeared ready to pass judgment on her. Standing back upright, Dee looked over at Ulysses as he seemed to manage some level of control, at least releasing Annie (if roughly) and asking her to knock him out, with the force that seemed to be trying to control him once more. "Sorry, while I certainly do not agree with her methods, I actually find myself in agreement with Miss Key on a number of things she said." The Englishwoman stated as she focused on Ulysses and sent a blast of red mental energy at him.
  17. Dee gave the kids a small smile as they excitedly took the money Erick offered them and departed from the facility. She was glad that they were away from the location, should things get dangerous with whatever was lying in wait in the old buildings. "I would not be so sure to dismiss this a just local superstition." Dee replied at the professors comments about the "Crocodile King" stories. "Those frogmen things we ran into further up the Nile were real enough. I see little reason to doubt that there could not also be some crocodile man-thing." She took a few moments to look around the facility as she talked, looking for any signs of surveillance equipment that might still be operational. As she did, she stated, "so, shall we knock?"
  18. Yes, that was not a good roll. They are about 20 feet away, which means a -2 to your check as well (-1 per 10 feet). So, lots of rolls here, as they get a Reflex check to reduce the roll as well. none of the average pirates make their reflex rolls, so dex checks vs 10: they roll pretty bad, with only three staying on their feet. Both elite pirates also miss the reflex checks, but both make their dex checks and remain on their feet. For the two tough pirates, one misses, one makes the reflex checks. Both resist with strength, both easily making them. So, the short of it, five pirates are knocked over.
  19. The Aphelion: As Memorial spoke to the pirates in Lor, she had the distinct feeling that several of them did not understand her. But at least a few did. The large pirate that she had flow up to did not appear to understand her, but he understood the attack well enough, even if he took it with seemingly little effect. Snarling, the pirate swung a large fist at Memorial, but the sole surviving Belran was able to duck under the swing and avoid it. His equally large companion stepped up to try and assist, bringing one large fist down toward Memorial, but once again she was easily able to sidestep the attack. One of the pirates that seemed to understand Memorial was an insectoid alien nearby. Drawing a sword that crackled to life with energy, he stepped forward as he replied in accented Lor. <"If your so concerned *click* with those that killed your world *click* Perhaps you should be fightin' them."> With that, he swung his sword at Memorial, but she again dodged the attack, but by a narrower margin. Another pirate stepped off to a side around Memorial, aiming his energy weapon down the hallway toward Mechanized as he fired a blast of energy that struck the human woman's armor squarely. But Emily's battlesuit was more than capable of handling the attack, the blast deflecting harmlessly off. The pirate seemed to snarl as he shouted something to the other pirates around him. At his orders, the other eight pirates moved up, breaking into groups of four on either side of where Memorial was in melee with three of their comrades. Each group of four took aim at Mechanized together, firing off time shots at the armored woman. One group missed with all four shots, the blasts flying down the hallway beyond and striking a far wall. The second managed more success, with three of the four blasts striking Mechanized. But as before, the battlesuit's armor easily took the hits with no ill effects.
  20. Round Four 24 Pirate Interceptor pilots (3) (unharmed) 24 Galvanic (unharmed, 2 HP) 17 Elite Pirates 16 Average Pirates 15 Mechanized (unharmed, 2 HP) 12 Corona (unharmed, shaken, 1 HP) 12 Sovereign (unharmed) 7 Memorial (unharmed, 1 HP) 3 Tough Pirates On the Aphelion: One of the pirates comes at Memorial with a sword that crackles with energy, but misses. Another fires at Mechanized, hitting with a 18, but her Impervious takes the hit. He yells something at the other 8, who combined fire on Mechanized in groups of 4. Group 1: all miss Group 2: 3 hits and a miss, but that results in only a +9 damage attack, so still soaked up by Impervious. So Mechanized is up. On the Pirate Flagship: Galvanic is up.
  21. The two large pirates will try to attack Memorial, but both miss.
  22. That hits, but it makes its toughness save with a 27.
  23. Actually, I think I should only be dazed, as I missed the first roll by only 4. I think she also gets a +1 on the Fort check, but seeing as she only rolls a 2, that does not really matter and she stays dazed.
  24. Okay Celestine, just a few minor things here now (mostly things that were missed in the edits). Combat: We just list defense as +8 (+3 flat footed). Equipment: Could you please add the equipment tag to the stuff for the HQ. Powers: The other refs are fine with having the suit draw points from the container for the array. You still list the total points spent on powers as 80, when it should be 76. Also, if you could please list out all the powers separately (ie: 12 + 10 + 2 + 52 = 76 pp). You still list the suit as Device 14, when it should be Device 13 (the other stuff for it is right). For the array, could you please note in the first line (Enhance Power) that it is a 12 pp array + 12 pp from the Container. For each alternate power, could you please list the cost for each slot compared to the points available in the array: ex: for the Ice Blast it would be {24/24}. For the Super-Senses: what sense it the tracking for? Need to pick one. For the Super Strength, could you please list your effective strength (ie 45) and the heavy load for that strength in tons. That should be about it.
  25. Well Shoe, an improvement over your early build, but still a few wrinkles to work out. Stats: You list 11 pp spent on Strength, but only have Strength 20, so you have an extra PP there. Also, I would drop the extra point spent on Charisma right now, you likely need it elsewhere as discussed below. Combat: Not sure how you came up with your attack bonuses. You are spending 8 pp, which would be BAB of +4. I do not see any feats or the like that would increase Melee to +8. Also, while you have Accurate on some of your ranged powers in your array, that would only mean you would have +6 with the Snare and Blast, not all ranged attacks. Saving Throws: You have them calculated wrong, you have only spent 2 pp on both Reflex and Will (for a total of 4 PP), so your Reflex is +5 and your Will save is +7. Feats: For Fascinate (Perform), you need to designate either Perform: Comedy or Perform: Oratory. For Skill Mastery, you need to designate which Knowledge Skill you have skill mastery in. (also, you should note up in your skills section which ones have skill mastery associated with them). I am not sure you really need two ranks of Improved Disarm, especially as you are so far below your PL caps for attack/damage and defense/toughness. Powers: Can you please list the costs for each of the powers below the array please. (we also like to see the costs up at the top for powers be in the order the powers are listed, right now it looks mixed up). The Array: There are some errors in the various alt powers. Blast: What is Extra: Attack? a blast already is an attack. You do not have it properly priced with an extra as it is. With Blast 5 (no extra) and two feats, it would be 12 pp, not 11. Why not spend the other 2 pp and pick up another rank and make it Blast 6? Flight: I am usually not one to complain when people are not spending all the power points available in every alternate power in an array (I am usually complaining when people seem to feel they ALWAYS have to spend every pont), but you do have a LOT of unused points in this slot. Maybe make it two ranks of flight and add maybe Move Object 6 to represent telekinesis allowing you to lift other things/people as well? Also, for the flight, you need to list the speed (right now it is 10 mph) Mind Control: Need to define what sense it is dependent upon (I am assuming sight) Snare: The extra makes it 3 pp per rank, so you could only have Snare 3, with Accurate, for 13 pp. You might want to either drop the extra or add a flaw. Stun: Are you sure you want the Fades flaw on this (ie it gets less effective each subsequent use)? Maybe take the Daze effect only flaw? Anyway, Split attack does nothing for this power, as it is an area attack, so I would drop that feat. So at best, you are only using 6 pp out of 14. Maybe increase the number of ranks, Stun 3 is pretty darn low. With no feat, you should be able to get at least Stun 7. Teleport: For the flaw, do you mean limited to short range only? Note it that way if that is what you mean please. You should list the range separately in the power. Again you have spent very few of the points available in the array. Maybe a couple more ranks of teleport and some feats: Change Direction could be useful, otherwise you all ways end up facing the same direction when you teleport. The one main over arching problem I see is that your character is well below the PL 10 caps in both attack/damage and defense/toughness. You can easily make him PL 8 and still just be scraping under the caps.
