He then made his way towards the ramp with Oskar, as Balus joined them, looking rather nervous. "As I indicated, the vendor is named Fariar Uloc, and her shop is in the center of the main bazaar. Do keep an eye out, Nocturis is infamous for pickpockets, particularly during when its regions are in its long night." Once Ana had joined them, Oskar led the way off the ship, Ana and Balus following. As soon as they were off the Xeno, they were met by the starport supervisor, to register their stay and begin any refueling that was needed. The process went rather quickly, and then the three were on their way, with some directions to the main bazaar. As they exited the space port, the trio found that nighttime Nocturis had a rather festive atmosphere. Lights of various colors were strung throughout the streets, and music filled the air from various street corner performers. There were crowds of people making their way long the streets, but with almost a laid back, casual sort of pace, taking in the sights and sounds. There were a number of vendors set up along the streets, selling an array of foodstuff, most of which smelled appetizing. But as they move along, the trio also quickly realize that the city was rather vast, and the streets curving and crisscrossing. It might not be so easy to find the main bazaar as it would have seemed…

Okay, have dragged my feet enough here, Velocity will use Rapid Fire (Power Attack +5 dam/-5 attack). She gets a 28, so that is at least a DC 30 toughness save if it hits, plus it is autofire, so +1 per 2 over the Duke’s defense (up to +4).

Then rollover her posts and the other GM posts to my other PCs. If my count is right, I should have enough posts for Tsunami, Paradigm and Synapse to all have 100 posts (please roll the Ref point over to Paradigm). If I a bit off, then put Paradigm and Tsunami both at 100 posts and whatever is left for Velocity).

Slice managed to pull his hand away from the crackling electrical whip as Coiled Lightning tried to disarm him. The costumed criminal then took a couple step back as he leveled the energy pistol at the hero. "I should have figured you might eventually show up." He stated, as he fired an energy blast at Coiled Lightning, but the crimefighter was already dodging aside, as the blast streaked harmlessly by, streaking across the street to blow out a window in a nearby building. The large thug meanwhile had been fully entrapped by the blue ball of slime Liquify had thrown at him. The muscular man strained against the liquid encasing him, pulling himself free and taking a few strides forward, he gaze fixed on Liquify. Meanwhile, the two other thugs turned their handguns on the watery hero, each firing off a shot. But both were off with their aim, the bullets impacting on the pavement to either side of Liquify, but well away from their intended target.

So Slice will take a shot a Coiled Lightning, missing with a 9. The big thug will try to break free from the snare, DC 27 toughness save for the snare, it gets an 11, so he breaks free. Moving to Round Three 16 Thugs 12 Coiled Lightning (unharmed, 1 HP) 7 Liquify (unharmed, 1 HP) 6 Slice (unharmed) 2 Big Thug (unharmed) The two thugs shoot at Liquify, both missing with 10’s. Coiled Lightning is up!

With two quick snaps of his electrical whip, Coiled Lightning made quick work of the two men standing on the loading dock. Liquify closed towards the scene, and spotted the man behind the wheel of the van, his arm stretching out as he sent a fist through the open passenger window to crack across the driver's jaw, knocking him unconscious as well. But before the two heroes could greet each other, a pair of doors swung open on the loading dock and a group of men made their way out. In the lead was a man wearing a dark green costume with a red mask that covered the entire upper half of his head (with black around his eyes shaped like a domino mask). In one red gloved hand he held a futuristic looking pistol. Coiled Lightning of course immediately recognized Slice. Just behind him were three men in black with ski masks. Two were pushing hand carts stacked high with boxes. The third was a massive man well over six and a half feet tall. Coiled Lighting was pretty sure he was the strong man that had accompanied Slice in trying to seal the contents of the time capsule last month. Slice came to a halt at the sight on the loading dock, his gaze fixing on Coiled Lighting. "You again? Get em!" He shouted. The two men with the push carts let go of them, pulling out pistols from their belts, each taking aim at one of the crimefighters and opening fire.

Don't forget you 2 ranks of Strike! (So it would be DC 22). He misses it either way with a 17, so is out!

Synapse gets a 27 on her toughness save. She gets a 20 on her Fort save.

With things about to get dangerous, Dee surrounded herself with her forcefield, red psychic energy that crackled into being around her. She only hoped that the others would be alright, although, Ulysses had already demonstrated that he was rather durable, having survived an explosion from one of the bombs planted along the line. That really left only Singh to worry about. The young Englishwoman then sent a blast of red psychic energy at the mind of the priest. The man seemed to stagger slightly from the psychic impact, but otherwise remained on his feet.

The Delaztri dignitary gave a small bow as Chrystaa provided a translation of Kharag's words. He then began to speak again, with Chrystaa continuing to provide translation. <The Delaztri Empire is made up of a great number of beings, from numerous societies. All are welcome and given opportunities to thrive, so long as they are loyal to the Empire.> <Although it will take a bit of time, we can certainly begin the process of relocating your people to other worlds within the Empire. There we can better introduce them to our culture, and educate them in our technology. I believe we can have the first transport ships here within a few days.>

"No promises." Dee replied back with a small smile at Erick's comment about no sharp turns. The Englishwoman then began to glow red as she put up her forcefield. "Get down professor." She stated to Zaki, wanting him to down in the vehicle, where he would be a less obvious target. With that she began to try to steer her way through the oncoming riders, trying to get past them and continue on the road. Hopefully they would then be able to outrun them, but the quality of the van made that a somewhat questionable proposition.

Synapse will try to weave through the riders, getting a 22 on her Drive roll. She also puts up her forcefield.

Amara looked slightly puzzled by Vince's statement about changes with the Curator and her being asleep for a long time, but before she could ask the hologram any questions, Vince replayed a message from a figure Amara did not recognize. But she did recognize the implants that were attached to him, and certainly understood what he was discussing in his speech. "The Communion has returned?" She replied, not really asking a question. A sense of emptiness came over her, as she recalled the desperate battles the Praetorians and Delaztri military had fought against the Communion, and the terrible cost of the final victory. "We faced them, just before the Curator came for us, when they were attacking the Empire. We managed to beat them, to turn them back, but at a high cost. So many of us paid the ultimate price stopping the Communion, including my....my brother." The young Naram then took a deep breath, straightening herself up once more as her yellow eyes fixed on Vince. "I am not certain all can be so easily forgiven with the Curator, but the return of the Communion is a far more imminent threat. The greater foothold they are allowed to make, the stronger they will be. But this is not something I can do alone."

Amara turned to regard this - Vince as his hologram appeared and began addressing her. As he spoke, the Praetorian realized he was speaking something other than Delaztri, but somehow she understood him perfectly well. Or, at least somewhat understood him, as much of what he was saying seemed to make little sense. Pushing herself back up to her feet, Amara straightened herself up, although she still felt somewhat weak after apparently having been in a long cyrosleep. "I do not know where you obtained your information, but it is woefully inaccurate. All of our leaders were among those killed in the final battle which took place shortly before the Curator attacked and captured us. I was just one of the survivors." She replied. "And I know not of this child you speak of Lor, but the Curator cannot hide behind some assistant. Where is the Curator?"

Amara Val-Ren felt cold. It was a sensation she had not felt for some time, ever since she had undergone the enhancement treatment that had allowed her to join the ranks of the Praetorians alongside her brother. But she felt it now, even as the sensation seemed to be fading. As the cold faded, memories came flooding back to Amara. A terrible enemy, threatening the Empire, one that had required the full assembled might of the Praetorians to halt. But the toll for the victory had been great, with over three quarters of the Praetorians killed before the enemy was repulsed. Among them her older brother, Daar Val-Ren. But as Amara and her fellow surviving Praetorians had been returning to the heart of the Empire, they encountered one of the Curator's museum ships. When the ancient Preserver AI had announced it was there to collect and preserve the surviving Praetorians, Amara and the others had resisted, battling the drones sent to secure them. But they were all still drained, physically and emotionally, by the battle they had just recently won, and inevitably began to fall to the Curator. Then there had only been darkness, and the cold. Amara's eyes snapped open, a dim light flooding into them for the first time in what seemed so, so long. The dark orange skinned Naram was in some sort of tube shaped object made of clear material. A thin layer of frost covered the outside of the tub. She was laying back on a padding inside the tube, tilted at a forty-five degree angle. Reaching up to her temples, Amara removed some sort of sensor nodes which had been attached there, glancing at them only a brief moment before trying to focus beyond the tube as her eyes adjusted to the dim light. Outside the tube, the faint light only illuminated a small area. Although the layer of frost blurred her view some, she could still make out a smooth, white floor and some sort of equipment attached to the tube, all of it covered in the thin layer of frost, but everything else was lost in darkness. As she took in the scene, Amara felt a sense of rage swell up in her once more, as she realized where she must be. Although her limbs felt heavy, the young Praetorian swung her arms outward, slamming her fists into the clear material of the tube around her. The high-impact resistant synthetic plastics cracked from the force of the impacts, and a second blow from her powerful fists shattered it, sending shards flying out into the darkness. Amara climbed up out of the now open tube, frost falling all around her as she moved, swinging her feet down toward the smooth white floor. But her legs were still not quite ready for such activity, and she collapsed down onto her knees, her super dense weight causing cracks in the floor as she landed and sending vibrations around the nearby area. Frost and cold mist hung in the air, although Amara was only slightly aware of the cold and no longer bothered by it. "Curator! Where are you?" Amara called out into the darkness around her. "You will answer for your actions against my brothers and sisters!"

So close for the thug, he gets a 21 on his toughness save, so he is down.
