Dar Val-Ren, Chrystaa and the Delaztri dignitaries and military officers made their way into the city of Kachsack at the invitation from Kharag's servants, taking in some of the sights of the carefully crafted city. But their path was direct, and they did not waste time in making the long journey to the throne room atop the ziggurat-like structure that served as Kharag's palace. When they entered the hallway, the group made their way forward, to stand before the throne in which Kharag sat waiting. One of the dignitaries stepped forward, giving a small bow of his head before he began to address the God-King of the Za'akis. <You have truly led your people to great accomplishments King Kharag.> Chrystaa translated.

The North End Freedom City, New Jersey Wednesday October 22, 2014, 10:23 PM Coiled Lightning Charlie Stevens was crouched in the shadows on the roof of one of the low buildings in the North End neighborhood of Freedom City. He was in the costume he wore as Coiled Lightning, the strange electrical whip he had discovered in one hand as he looked out over the streetlight lit street below. Charlie was here because he had received information from a Sergeant Turner of the North End precinct of the FCPD about a string of recent thefts at some high-tech companies in the area that had been committed by the costumed criminal Slice and a group of hired thugs. Tonight was the second night he had been staking out the area north of the Freedom City University campus in the hopes of running into Slice and his goons once again. Last night he had managed to stop a mugging, but otherwise had not caught any sight of his quarry. Liquify Matt Sol was in the shadows of an alleyway in the North End, looking out at one of the high-tech companies situated in the area near the FCU campus. He had read about some of the recent break-ins at some of the high-tech companies near the campus, apparently carried out by a costumed criminal and some henchmen. It seemed like a good opportunity to try to uses his powers to be a superhero, like so many others in Freedom City.

Dee had long ago learned that digging around in the minds of criminals could be rather unpleasant, but the memories and thoughts of the "priest" of Kali were by far among the worst she had even encountered. But the Englishwoman focused past her revulsion and desire to lobotomize the man, and continued looking for the information she needed. Once she had the image of the ramshackle dwelling in one of Khamha's slums, Dee withdrew from the priest's mind. <Alright, you may think this Annie Key is a legend captain, but this priest is convinced she exists, and lives in one of this town's slums. Right now it is the strongest lead we have, so we should follow it.>

Fair enough, I just wanted to make sure I gave you a chance to do anything you might have wanted to before moving us ahead too much. Also, now that Gankun has his PL 7 character Liquify approved, I was thinking of maybe starting a thread that had both of him and Coiled Lightning in it if you were interested.

Once the ship was underway at faster-than-light speeds, there was little need for Oskar to spend the entire time in the Xeno's cockpit. It was not long before Ana was first contacted by the general about a complaint regarding the temperature in his quarters. Or more accurately, she had been contacted by Balus about the issue. But other than a shared meal in the middle of the six hour journey, the general mainly stayed out of Oskar and Ana's way. Then, about five minutes before they would be reaching their destination, Oskar made his way back up to the cockpit, ready for when they dropped back into sub-lightspeed. As they did so, and the stars came back into focus, the Xeno's sensors quickly locked onto Nocturis. According to the general's instructions, they were bound for one of the planet's main cities, located on the side of the planet currently well into the long night cycle...

So Lazer, is there anything specifically you would want Charlie to do the next day? Any sort of proactive investigation? Or are you good with me moving things along as needed?

Citadel A'lan Koor was gathered with the other members of the Inner Circle inside the main command center of Citadel, a massive room into which was transmitted telemetry and communications from all the Star Knights that had been dispatched to Lor-Van. The twelve senior Knights watched the battle as it unfolded, holographic images of the various Communion vessels holographically displayed around the room in a massive scale recreation of the battle. The message that had been relayed back to the Citadel by the first Knights arriving on the scene had done little to relieve the concerns Koor had feeling. To see his old foe, Star Khan, reduced to some sort of mouthpiece for this Communion had only served to emphasize that they were dealing with a dangerous opponent. Further proof soon began to follow as the automated messages announcing the death of a Star Knight began to be received. The Lor Stark Knight gave silent prayers as the deaths were announced, wishing that he could have joined the force he and the other members of the Inner Circle had sent out there. It was after all his homeworld. "I know it is difficult A'lan." Another of the Inner Circle stated in a low voice, a look of understanding on her features. "But you can best serve the Order here, with the rest of us. With Mentor still disabled, we must lead the Order in facing this threat, both at Lor-Van and elsewhere." Koor gave a small nod, as he watched the battle continue, a small feeling of satisfaction on his face as he saw the evacuation ships continue to stream off the planet, protected by the Star Knights and Lor fleet. But then the massive Communion ship turned towards the planet, the energy build up that the various Knights had been reading reaching unimaginable levels. And the gathered Knights maneuvered for form a barrier to shield the planet. Then silence fell over the room, as the Communion sphere unleashed the energy that it had been building up, the blast impacting directly against the barrier the Star Knights had formed over half of the planet. Time seemed to almost stand still, as moments ticked by, the barrier holding against power to destroy the planet many times over. And then, the signals providing the holographic images began to vanish, a few at first, and then more and more, until the room went almost completely black, and the images of the battle were all gone. And then the messages for the fallen began to arrive, so many that it was almost impossible to distinguish individually. Koor bowed his head, as he closed his eyes, the other members of the Inner Circle doing the same. "Over five hundred Star Knights-all gone." Said one of the Inner Circle, almost disbelieving. But then a new message could be heard, proclaiming at least a few survivors, but far, far too few. "Not all, we are still receiving some telemetry." Another Inner Circle member stated, as some of the holographic images came back into place, less detailed now, working with less information. But there was enough for the gathered elder Knights to see that Lor-Van and its orbital cities were still there, saved by the sacrifice of the Star Knights. "How long until our reinforcements arrive?" Another Inner Circle member asked, calling up information on the nearest group of Star Knights to the scene. "Not soon enough for Lor-Van." Koor stated, looking back up at the holographic image of the planet, as he realized the terrible truth.

GM "I suppose being a Praetorian could be viewed as being a knight." Raark replied with a small nod. "Although not an association I typically make." The F'terrix then considered Tatiana's comments about the great diversity within the Praetorians ranks. But before he could respond to her comments, another voice interjected on the subject. Raark turned to regard the speaker, given a small nod of his feline head. "Greetings, welcome to the Praetorians. I am Raark, and this is Lady Gaius of Muras, also known as the Elite." The F'terrix replied to the new arrival. "The Delaztri have long shown a talent at incorporating many different groups, we tend to view ourselves as the best example of the great diversity that exists within the Empire."

Velocity let out a slight sigh of frustration at the barred door to the shelter, although she could understand why those inside would want the door sealed off from the storm. Right now she did not quite have time to delays in getting the door opened, so she gently sat down the child she was carrying off to one side of the door (and as out of the elements as she could manage. Then the yellow clad speedster began vibrating her molecules so that she was able to pass right through door and into the room beyond. Once in there, she would slow back down near the door and take in the scene around her before trying open the door.

Dee listened to Singh's mental response to her question about Annie Key, relaying the message to Ulysses as well. The Englishwoman was not particularly surprised that the captain would be so quickly dismissive of the notion there was this mysterious woman out there causing various trouble for the Empire here in India. But she was not quite so ready to dismiss the idea without a bit more investigation. <Well, myth or legend, this priest certainly seems to believe she is real and is praying for Kali to guide and protect her.> She provided in response. <I am not so sure we should be too quick to dismiss the idea just now. Perhaps I will just need to dig a bit deeper to see if this chap knows where this Annie Key might actually be.> With that, Dee focused her attention back on the praying priest, as she prepared to go back into his mind to try to learn the location of Annie Key.

After shooting off the email to Detective Erickson, Charlie spent a bit more time looking through the profiles for the various Zeke Simmons he had found. A couple did work for companies that had offices in Freedom City, while one of the others had a job that likely involved some travel. But there was nothing that seemed to connect any of them to the Mayfair building or suggest they were currently in Freedom City. In addition, all three were in their late 20's, early 30's, and did not seem like the type to be carrying around a monogrammed handkerchief. By the time Charlie had given up on finding some easy connection, he had received an email back from Detective Erickson stating they had found the handkerchief and would be having it analyzed. The detective further indicated he would be in touch when they had some new information.

Giang listened a moment as the Marine captain made his comments and then began to set out a plan of action. The Asian teen shook her head slightly. "I understand the danger with this vessel not seeming to operate at full capacity captain, but that is not really a concern for most of us. Perhaps you and your men should wait in the Sinker if you are concerned about a failure in hull integrity or other issues." "They wanted us to make repairs to this walker." She continued, pointing at the unconscious Atlanteans. "Which likely means that whom or whatever was controlling them wants the repairs made. Until we have a better understanding of what is happening here, we should not be doing anything that will increase the operational capacity of this walker. Right now it is moving slowly along, which gives us time."

Dee pulled back out of the priest's mind after she heard his payer and the name of the individual he seemed to view as the focal point in trying to disrupt the plans for the railway line. She then sent messages to her two companions letting them know what she has learned. <Well, they are certainly behind the sabotaging of the railway.> She first sent to the two men. <Seems the primary individual in the bombings is a woman named Annie Key. Have you heard of her?> She then asked, the question primarily for Captain Singh.

"Oh bloody hell." Dee called out as the men on camels appeared in the headlights, their cries just audible over the van's engine. The Englishwoman turned the wheel of the van, trying to veer around and through the oncoming camel riders as she activated her forcefield just in case they started firing those old rifles they carried. "Stay down!" She called back to Professor Zaki as she tried to maneuver the van, wanting the academic down so he would be less likely a target if shooting began. <Who is the bloody Crocodile King?> She "asked" Erick.

The landing pad turned out to be just large enough for the Xeno, perched right at the edge of the cliffs overlooking the ocean below. When Oskar powered own the vessel and opened the ramp, warm, moist air was blow in through the open ramp, the air temperature a sign that it was sure to be much hotter and humid once the sun was fully in the sky and the day progressed. Standing just off the landing pad, near an entrance to the largest of the three buildings that made up the outpost were two Lor wearing coverall style jumpsuits. One was a male, who was older (appearing to be about 40 years old by Earth standards), the other female, who was at least ten years younger than the male. Both seemed a bit surprised when Seika's large form appeared behind Oskar as the two made their way off the Xeno. The male Lor managed to recover his composure first, stepping forward. "Welcome to Syl'n V. I am Gallan W'yr, chief of operations for Syl'n Outpost, and this is Tal'a Vixx, our chief scientist." He stated in greeting, indicating the younger female Lor when he introduced her.

Okay Ex, fixed a couple of small errors. There is only one error that you need to address that I see. For your Super-Sense, it should be 5 pp as you have it right now. Magic is a very common descriptor, so per our house rules, it costs 3 pp for a mental magic detect/awareness power. Then it is +1 to make it ranged and +1 for analytical.
