  1. Amara was still riding something of an emotional high in the immediate aftermath of the ceremony, after all she had worked long and hard for this day. The young Naram was congratulating another of her fellow new recruits when Sitrara came over to the pair. Turning to Sitrara, Amara gave her a small smile and a nod. "Thank you, I am Amara Val-Ren, although I have chosen the codename Paradigm." Darr Val-Ren arrived at that moment, having maneuvered his way through the small crowd around the new recruits, as he gave his younger sister a warm smile. "Congratulations sister." He stated, resting a hand on her shoulder, he then glanced at Sitrara as he added, "may I introduce Sitrara, also known as Traveller. She has also recently joined our ranks, although she has centuries of experience."
  2. TT, I am not sure there are any leaks inside the walker, though if there were, Tsunami would likely be able to sense them.
  3. Dee was not particularly surprised by Professor Zaki's refusal to stay behind while she and Erick continued onward. To a degree he was correct, that likely the only way to stop attempts on his life would be by getting to the source of the mystery. But that still did not change the fact that with him around, half of her and Erick's time had so far been spent keeping him alive. But other than mind controlling him to stay behind, she did not see much choice, and that was not really an option she wanted to use. Soon they were at the local mechanics', a place where Dee felt perfectly at home. Stepping up to the three vehicles, the Englishwoman began examining them, a knowledgeable eye looking over the work that had been done, and noting the tampering the four wheel drive had. "We'll take the van." She said finally, deciding she did not really have the time to try to undo what was done to the four wheel drive.
  4. Dee gets a 17 for Sense Motive, and a 34 for Craft: Mechanical!
  5. Starshot "No time like the present." Nerrit replied, as he reached into the bowl in front of him and scooped out the last of the black eel like creatures and popped it into his large mouth. The Sorinam then got up from his seat at the booth, leaving some credits behind to settle his tab and the led Oskar away. Nerrit led Oskar to one of the sections for the station that housed accommodations for visitors. This particular section was particularly polished and elegant, clearly catering to those accustomed to only the finest. A uniformed doorman stops them briefly, but after a brief conversation with Nerrit, they are allowed to proceed into the section. A short turbolift ride later and they are on one of the upper levels and made their way to a portal a short distance from the lift. As they approach, the door slides open, reveling a short, slightly hunched creature dressed in a suit. "Right this way please, the general is waiting." The servant led the pair through a small entryway and into an opulent sitting room which had viewscreens looking out over the asteroid belt and the Perrin star. Standing in the center of the room was a tall, purple skinned humanoid. He was slim, completely bald, and dressed in a black uniform covered in various decorations and insignia. Turning as the trio entered the room, the general regarded them with narrow white eyes, his face stern but otherwise showing little emotion. He had an air of command and authority about him that Oskar found reminiscent of some of the senior German officers he had encountered during his service back during the war. "Greetings general." Nerrit stated with a small bow. "May I introduce Oskar Otto, also known as Starshot. He is the captain of the starship Xeno and has agreed to take the contract to transport you and your servant to where ever you need to be taken. He comes with my highest recommendation." Deep Freeze Ana's small display of her power attracted a bit of attention from the other patrons around her, but it was brief, before they returned to their own drinks or conversations. The neighbor that she gave the remaining alcohol and ice shot glasses to replied in some language that she did not understand, but seemed appreciative of the gift. The engineer did not have far to go before she was back in the hanger where the Xeno was docked.
  6. The officer gave a small nod when Charlie began talking about giving his statement. When he asked about the contents of the time capsule, the officer seemed to start slightly. "Well, you are going to need to talk to the detective in charge of the case. Just wait a moment and I'll call him down." Charlie was left to wait in the small reception area, while the sergeant picked up a phone and told whomever was on the other end that Coiled Lightning had come in to give his statement. Charlie only had to wait a couple of minutes before a plain clothed officer came out single door beside the front desk. The man was in his mid-thirties, lean build with light brown hair. "You have to be Coiled Lightning." He said with a small nod. "I'm Detective Erickson. Thank you for coming down." The detective extended his right hand to the costumed hero.
  7. Just a note Lazer, the police officer behind the front desk is not one of the officers that was at the demolition sight earlier.
  8. Either of those would be the same for Synapse. So, with the +4 for Eidetic Memory, she gets a 26.
  9. Giang gave the Marine officer a questioning look as he asked how the other Marines could have drowned inside the airtight vehicle. "Am I not manipulating the water I removed and causing it to float in the air?" She asked. "Temperance can similarly control water. There are others know to posses this ability as well. It is not hard to imagine that this 'Drowned Man' could well have some means of controlling water as well." "Whatever the case, clearly someone had sought to take control over this vessel. We need to determine why, and what they intend to do with it, given what the Atlantean I released says about the armament of this vessel."
  10. Given all she had seen thus far since their arrival in this dimension, Dee had not been too hopeful regarding what sort of clothes Captain Singh might be able to obtain for her to wear. Even with her expectations not set very high, she still had frowned slightly at the brightly colored sari the captain had produced. For a brief moment she had considered just demanding some extra clothes like those worn by the workmen on the line. But, she had held that comment back, knowing that would just likely be almost as out of place as her costume. So Dee had ended up taking the sari, and going off with one of the nurses to get help putting the garment on. "Bloody likely to end up tripping in this." She muttered to herself once she was dressed. But, Dee had to admit that it was a bit cooler in the heat and humidity than her costume had been. And it would likely help her blend in a bit better, although, it did not do all that much more to hide her figure than her costume had. Once back with the others, she listened to Captain Singh describe locals where they might be able to find Thugee. "Well, probably best to start in town, then make our way into the outskirts if need be." She replied.
  11. Diplomacy check for Synapse, a 16 (or 20 if Attractive comes into play)
  12. Posted in the wrong place
  13. Giang looked over at Cho as she spoke up. "That is a possibility." She acknowledged. "Although I am not sure it is as simple as poachers. Thus far, the only evidence we have of these outsiders indicates that they are on foot, which provides some limitation on what they can carry out from anything they kill. Additionally, it sounds like they have already travelled a fair distance without killing anything yet. But still, certainly something to keep in mind and consider." The Asian teen turned her attention back to the Jungle Lord. "Lord Zandar, regardless of why these outsiders may be here, we are certainly willing to help in tracking them down and discovering what their intentions are."
  14. Once Dee had set Professor Zaki down inside the boat, Dee then focused on Erick, picking him up out of the water as well and bringing him back over onto the vessel. Once everyone was back aboard, she turned to regard the captain, who was apparently ready to throw them off the boat. "We are not getting off here, in the middle of nowhere. You can continue us on toward the next port and we will get off there." She replied, crossing her arms in front of her and giving the captain a stern look.
  15. Dee clenched one hand into a fist, considering for a brief moment to make Singh's neural pathway to freeze up so she could tell him off without his interrupting her. But once again, she forced herself to remain calm and refrain from trying to completely alienate someone that was actually helping them, at least to some degree. She remained silent while the older gentleman asked his questions about the Thugee cult and Singh provided an answer. "Well, whatever their reasoning is, if they are indeed the ones behind the attacks, talking about it won't uncover the fact." She then interjected. "But again, before we start trying to investigate, it is likely best that we find something else for me to change into, otherwise I will rather stand out." The Englishwoman indicated her costume.
  16. Well, there is a bit of an issue with this. Super-movement: Space Travel is not really meant to act as tactical movement. Also, limiting yourself from being able to enter the atmosphere of a planet can be rather restrictive in terms of repair facilities for the space ship itself, requiring orbital facilities. For a character that is a bit more of a rogueish type, those might be even more rare.
  17. Except Elite, like all the other Praetorians, is still in suspended animation on the Curator's ringworld. The event is coming soon enough to have us all woken up!
  18. APPROVED
  19. Actually, you don't need the two different ones. You just buy Teleport (Extra: Effects Others; Limited: Only Others) for the spaceship, then spend 1pp on Vendette (probably in her suit) for a homing beacon, which allows the teleporter to beam her back u.
  20. So, Tsunami gets a 28 on her initiative check.

  22. As he swung over towards the alleyway, and then into the alley itself, Foreshadow had all the advantages. He knew where in the alleyway the police officer would be shot, and could see the officer had not yet reached that point. He also knew exactly where the gang member was hiding, almost not needing the low-light lenses in his mask. Dropping down into the alleyway near the gang member, the costumed crime fighter saw the young man turn towards him in surprise, trying to bring his weapon around towards the new threat. He barely got halfway there, before Foreshadow's bo staff slammed into the side of his head, knocking him out into the middle of the alley, where he sprawled on the ground unconscious.
  23. Okay, Lucy is up Tiff!
