Nerrit H'aan was seated in a somewhat secluded booth toward the back of the deck, shielded from the rays of the Parrin star by a small wall that divided up the deck into separate sections. Nerrit was a Sorinam, a short, frog-like amphibian humanoid with vibrant yellow skin accented by thick black stripes. He wore a suit that Oskar knew helped keep his skin moisturized, and there were small vents around the collar which occasionally released a small mist of water to do the same for his head. As Oskar took a seat in the booth, Nerrit regarded the human with his large, green eyes a brief moment. "Greetings Oskar." He stated in a low, almost timid voice. "Care for a Nalor Eel?" The Sorinam gestured at a large bowl on the table in front of him, filled with somewhat cloudy liquid in which Oskar could see some dark shapes moving about.

Aboard the Solar Dawn The Parrin system, between the Lor Republic and Stellar Khanate Situated in an expanse of unclaimed space between the Lor Republic and the Stellar Khanate, the Parrin system was home to a native civilization that did all they could to retain a position of neutrality with both major space powers. The Parrin engaged in trade with both, had envoys with both powers and had treaties with both powers. Among the ways the Parrin worked to stay on good terms with both powers was by offering services to passing ships from both the Republic and the Khanate. One of those included the Solar Dawn, a casino situated at the edge of an inner system asteroid belt which ringed the system's large red sun. Positioned on the outer edge of the asteroid belt, the Solar Dawn had breath taking views of the belt set against the blazing light of the star. But of course, most who came here paid little attention to the views, focused instead on the various games of chance that were available. But Oskar Otto was not one of those. Today the displaced human was on the Solar Dawn to meet Nerrit H'aan, one of his old contacts about a possible job. Otto's involvement with Nerit went back to when he was still working for Zaul Zeno, and the trader had maintained his connections with Otto even after Zeno had disappeared. Otto had made his way through one of the main casino floors, crowded with beings from all over the parsec. He had even spotted a group of Lor soldiers in a dice game with a group of Khanate troops in the crowd. Climbing a staircase, Otto reached a restaurant/bar area overlooking the casino floor he had just passed through. The area was up against one of the walls of the station, which was made of tall transparent alloys that allowed for a clear view of the asteroid field, the Parrin star sitting beyond, its red light casting an unusual glow within the station. The communication for Nerrit indicated he would be waiting for Otto in a booth on this level. Elsewhere on the station Ana Plonsky had spent a bit of time since their arrival at the Solar Dawn looking to see if she might be able to obtain some spare parts for the Xeno. But while the station did have some basic facilities for ships docked there, it was far from a full service repair facility, and had little in the way of parts suppliers aboard. So, it had not be long before she abandoned her search and instead made her way to one of the bars aboard the station....

Dee muttered a few unladylike things under her breath as all the other combatants moved things into the waters of the Nile. Running over to the side of the boat, she looked down into the waters, thankful she was able to spot all the forms that had gone over into the water. <"Keep us in place!"> She yelled out to the crew in Arabic as she focused her attention on the Frogman-thing that had the professor. A blast of red psychic energy streaked down into the water, attacking its mind and managing to at least daze it. Hopefully that would be enough for the professor to swim free.

GM The priest slowly awoke as Fleur attended him, starting slightly as he became more fully aware and then relaxing when he recognized Fleur. He sat upright, one hand coming up to rub his forehead as he answered. "Shortly after you left, two men arrived here, demanding the briefcase. When the soldiers refused and prepared to use their weapons, the two men....well, I am not sure what they did, but they projected some sort of blue energy at both soldiers, knocking them unconscious. Then one did the same to me, it felt like my mind was on fire and everything went black." Glancing at Staff Sergeant Reynolds, Fleur could see the briefcase was still attached to his wrist, but it was set upright and open. "They were wearing identical dark blue costumes that completely covered them head to foot. Each also had a golden symbol of their chests. I believe it was the zodiac symbol for Gemini."

Giang nodded in agreement as Myrmidon suggested trying to forcefully extract the water from the Atlanteans in order to try to break the control over them. After he gave a quick series of signals to the commander of the Marine detachment, the Asian teen focused on the lead Atlantean, reaching out with her powers to grasp the water inside him. Her left hand came up as she pulled the water through the Atlantean's body, causing it to come up back through the stomach and out the mouth, until it was hovering in the air in front of him.

Okay, as you indicated in chat, Dee can still see all the frogmen, so she will hit the one grappling the professor with a mental blast (DC 23 Will save).

Happy Birthday Dark!

Tsunami gets a 19 on her power check for Control Water. Though that will be a 24 with the +5 from Myr. I won't be able to make any IC post until tonight.

Freddy's meaty fists connect solidly with the side of Machinefist's jaw, sending the man flying backward a good ten feet to land in a heap of the hard concrete floor. One of the robe men is the first to react to the stocky detective's appearance, taking a step forward as his hands came up. "You shall not stop us interloper." He stated, before he spoke words in a language Freddy could not understand as one hand extended forward and a bolt of green energy shot forth at the pugilist, who was easily able to duck under the blast. Back in the shadows, the cat woman slipped off the crate she was on and moved deeper into the shadows, disappearing completely from Lucy's sight. The two men with Machinefist watched as he was slammed to the ground by Freddy and both picked up clubs and rushed toward him. Freddy easily blocked the first attack, but the second connected with his left side, but his thick, muscular torso easily absorbed the hit. One of the other robed men circled around to one side, waiting for an opening against Freddy as well.

Acolyte 1 casts a spell and sends a blast of mystical energy at Mess, missing with a 7. Catseye slips into the shadows to hide, getting a 36 for stealth. Thug 1 pulls out a club and comes at Mess, missing with a 12. Acolyte 2 holds his actionl Thug 2 also moves up to attack Mess with a club, hitting with a 21, DC 18 toughness save.
-
That is a hit, Machinefist only gets a 19 no his toughness save, so he is bruised and dazed, he gets knocked back 10 feet.

Freddy's leap easily carried him up onto the rooftop of the warehouse, where he found a couple of skylights, including one where he could see the light from within. Lucy quickly followed after, and the pair moved over toward the skylight to look down inside. Inside was the main section of the warehouse, poorly lit and with a few piles of old looking boxes along the sides in the shadows. Almost directly beneath the skylight, it appeared as if Strand's employer and the parties interested in the statue were meeting. On one side were three men that were unloading the statute from the back of a van. One was just as Strand had described, a guy dressed in a black leather vest, white T-shirt and jeans, a typical biker, save for the oversized metal gauntlets he wore over his hands and forearms. With him were two tough looking guys in black. On the opposite side were three rather more unusual men. All three were dressed in dark blue and purple robes with black hooded cloaks. Lucy also noted that back in the shadows, sitting on an old crate was a woman in dark clothes who almost blended into the shadows, her bright, cat-like eyes peering over at the exchange. "So here is ya'h statue.' Stated the biker with the metal gauntlets as he and the other two men set it down on the ground. But one of the men in robes held up a hand to cut him off, as both he and another of the robed men glanced up at the skylight. "It appears we have unexpected visitors."

I was waiting to see if Semi wanted to add anything before I do anything else. Right now, I am considering using Tsunami's water control to force the unusual water out of the Atlanteans and see if that breaks the mental control over them.

Okay, looking a bit more closely at things, there are a few more errors/issues. First, there is no Knowledge (Cosmic), there is Knowledge (Arcane), Knowledge (Galactic Lore) and Knowledge (Cosmology), the last two being houserule created. Given your characters background, Knowledge (Arcane) is likely the most appropriate (as Cosmology includes a wide knowledge of various dimensions, and things like the Cosmic Coil and the Terminus, but your call). There is no athletics skill, there is Climbing, Acrobatics and Swimming though, all separate. Under feats, you have 8 ranks of Dodge Focus, but only use 6 in your defense, so you have two extra points spent here. As to Angie's martial arts training....that seems just a tacked on way of meeting offensive PL caps and rather at odds with the character concept. Her background and powers are all about magic and fae, but you make her only offensive abilities based on her having martial arts training that makes her a rather skilled hand to hand fighter, at 16. While it is not uncommon in comics (or on this site) for a 16 year old to have such skills, it is usually the result of years of dedicated training (sometimes overly intensive training) and is often the core focus of the character. This is even more unusual as your character lacks any of the feats that often part of being a skilled martial artist (other than the Attack Specialization Unarmed and Dodge Focus).

As with everything else, Velocity was able to quickly take in the interior of the building. She was relieved to see that the passengers of the plane appeared to be relatively unharmed, but kept her gaze focused on the muscular woman sitting on the throne. Of course, thanks to her goggles, that did not mean she was unaware of what was going on around her. Invaders? Was the speedster's first thought, although one she kept to herself, realizing that blurting it out was unlikely to help their negotiations. Instead, she more calmly stated, "I do not believe invaders would be accurate. We are only here to seek the safe release of these passengers of the plane that was knocked out of the sky." She indicated the gathered people on the stairs. "I am Velocity, of the Freedom League, and this is my teammate Gabriel, and another heroine, Traikosia." She added, indicating both in turn.

Velocity had run down several of the other streets out of town a couple of miles and then double back before checking the next, but whichever direction Aries had left in, he had gone much further, so with only a one in four chance of guessing the right direction, the speedster headed back to the town to help with any wrap up. "Well, Aries introduced himself and the others as the Zodiac, which means there could be as many as twelve of them." She responded to the comments several of the others were making over the communicators. "But there certainly seemed to be some tension between Aries and the cat guy that Fleur and I also encountered, Leo I guess."

So, glancing at the character SG, see a few issues. First, you need to fix the formating for your teleportation array. It should be: Dimensional Walking 5 (10 pp array; magic, dimensional, Feats: 2 Alternate Powers) [12PP] Similar for the Container. More of an issue though is the limitation on the portal teleport and dimensional super-movement that you need to be in Fairy form to use them. Given that you control changing into the alternate form, I am not sure this truly limits your use of the powers enough to qualify as a flaw. Maybe a drawback. Finally, in the container, there is no Luck Manipulation power, though there is Luck Control. However, you cannot buy zero ranks of the power. What you probably want there is Enhanced Feat: Luck 2. You can tack on some ranks of Luck Control down the road when you get points to add to the Container.

Okay Cape, lets have Stealth and Notice rolls for Mess! (And for Lucy as well Tiff)

Velocity (6) (1) (1) (2) (1) (1) Tsunami (9) (5) (3) (1) Synapse (21) (7) (14) Paradigm (2) (2) GM (57) (2) (11) (2) (13) (6) (1) (4) (4) (6) (4) (4) (Okay, all GM posts to Velocity at first (putting her well over 100), Ref point to Velocity. Then rollover enough GM posts to Paradigm to give her 100, and rollover Ref point to Paradigm as well. Then any remaining GM posts/Velocity's posts are split between Tsunami and Synapse to put each of them a 25)

Giang relaxed ever so slightly as the two sides stood down from the escalating likelihood of conflict between them. The Asian teen had been prepared to use her powers to place a barrier between the two sides, which very likely would have contained them both for at least a short while. She took the opportunity afforded by the two sides facing off with one another to study the Atlanteans once more, and then the dead Marines. While the attention of each side was on the other, with Thaelia in the middle, Giang moved over near Myrmidon and Temperance, whispering to the pair. "Those Atlanteans are under some form of external control. I can sense large amounts of water within them, even for Atlanteans, and it is deep seawater, heavy with silt and sediment, identical to the seawater I can sense in the lungs of the dead Marines."

I'd like to get a post in before you do again Cape, but here is a question that I probably should have asked yesterday. Does Tsunami detect the same type of water in the dead Marines as she detects in the Atlantean soldiers?

There is a problem with the Infiltrator Suit SG. There is no invisibility power, what you want is Concealment. However, Concealment from visual senses costs double, that is it takes two ranks (4 pp) to be invisible to ONE visual sense (ie you could be invisible to normal vision, but someone with Infravision or Ultravision could still see you). If you want to be invisible to all vision senses, it takes four ranks of Concealment (8 pp).
