That hits, but Aries' Impervious soaks the +12 attack (the autofire does not help overcome Impervious)!

GM As Cho stood her ground, with Gene just a short distance away, the Romans moved forward until the wall of eighteen legionnaires had stopped about twenty feet from the pair. They had their shields held ready, but had not yet readied their javelins, although they likely could at a moment's notice. The two flanking groups of legionnaires, a dozen to either side, had moved up to form a single file line on each side, almost completely enclosing the teenagers. From where she had moved to, Sam was in position to see that behind the main Roman shield wall were a man and a woman who looked very much like some of the tribesmen that were Lord Zandar's subjects. Each had a bow in hand, a quiver of arrows on their back, although they did not yet have an arrow nocked. They were following a bit more slowly behind the Romans, keeping The Roman riding the massive Raptor moved up alongside the main wall of Roman's looking out at Cho and Gene. He shouted out something to the pair, but none of the Claremont students could understand it, although most could recognize that it was Latin. Lord Zandar then stood up, reveling himself and stepping in closer to Cho and Gene, as he gave a deep, but calm response, also in Latin. The Roman commander turned his mount to one side, focusing on the Jungle Lord for a brief moment, before he spoke once more in heavily accented English. "My apologies Jungle Lord, we did not see you." The man swung himself down from the saddle of the raptor, taking the rains and handing them to one of the Roman's in the main shield wall. He then stepped forward, reaching up to take off his helmet, which he tucked under one arm. He was a good looking young man, not more than nineteen years old, with short light brown hair and brown eyes. "I am Military Tribune Gallus Septimius." He stated with a small bow. Zandar was leaning almost casually on his spear as the tribune introduced himself, giving only a slight nod of his head in return to the young man's greeting. "You are far afield from Nova Roma tribune." "There have been reports in some of our outlying settlements of strangers causing problems. My men and I were dispatched to investigate and have been tracking these strangers for over a day." Septimius responded, standing up straighter and seeming slightly insulted at having to explain his presence. "I can assure you tribune that my guests have been nowhere near your lands. Just before you arrived, I had happened upon the tracks apparently from those you have been following." Zandar replied.

GM As Fleur appeared, Sergeant Davenport gave a small start, reaching for his handgun but stopping just as he grabbed the grip, recognizing the Freedom Leaguer, even as she introduced herself. Several of the nearby civilians gave a start as well, surprised by the sudden appearance of a member of the Freedom League in their small rural town. Then a sound like a roar sounded from across the street behind Fleur, and in a instant, a large figure had leapt from the shadows, quickly closing the distance with the green haired heroine. "Thank you for confirming the projector's whereabouts!" The large man snarled as clawed hands slashed out, raking across the back of Fleur's left shoulder. "I will be taking it now, and show up that fool Aries!" But Fleur was far tougher than she looked, and the attack did not even break her skin. Landing just behind Fleur, so she stood mostly between him and Sergeant Davenport, the new villain towered above her at close to six and a half feet. His thick black hair and beard had the appearance of a mane, and the man's red eyes, and clawed hands and feet only made him look even more feral. He wore a red bodysuit, with black tribal markings that ran down the outside of the arms and legs, and in the center of his chest, a golden symbol was on his costume.

GM Tiamat manages to connect with Libra, in addition to ripping off a large swath of shingles from the roof, the impact knocking the woman off the rooftop and sending her flying twenty five feet into the back yard of the house. Libra hit the ground hard, but did not seem injured by the impact. Tiamat's attacks had certainly injured her, and she was still dazed from it. Sagittarius managed to leap free from the grasping rock Gaian Knight had brought up around her, flipping back over to her feet as she ran quickly across the open field. She closed to within one hundred feet of the fight in a few moments, drawing another arrow back in her bow as she fired. The arrow whistled past Gabriel, flying off into the distance. Over in the center of the fighting, Aries shook his head briefly, clearing his vision as he was back up on his feet in an instant. He then rushed over towards Gaian Knight, bringing his metal helmet down once more as he tried to ram the hero. "Most of the town likely did not even know we were here until you all showed up." He commented as he charged. "The storm sent them looking for shelter, and out of our way." But Gaian Knight sensed his approach, as fast as it was, and managed to dodge aside and avoid the impact. Aries continued onward, looping back around as he speed over to come to a halt about two hundred feet up the road to the north.

Sagittarius covers 200 feet in her move action, and shoots an arrow at Gabe, but she misses with a 14. Aries shakes off his daze (HP to Velocity) and gets up in an instant (Instant Up) and runs over toward Gaian Knight to attack him, missing with a 15. He continues past, looping back around so he is 200 feet up the road to the north.

After dodging aside from Aries' attack Velocity watched as Gabriel hit him with some sonic attack, but the villain managed to shake whatever the effect was and still seemed fully in the fight. So, the yellow clad speedster decided she should try to do something about that. Closing back with the supervillain, her fist shot out once more and supersonic speeds with a loud *CRACK* This was followed almost instantly by a solid *WHAM* as her fist impacted with the side of his helmet. The force of the blow knocked Aries right off his feet, knocking him onto the ground just a few feet away. He certainly seemed hurt and a bit dazed from the powerful hit, as Velocity continued on, skidding to a halt a short distance away as she glanced around, checking where her teammates and the villains were. "Hey…where is that tiger guy the soldiers talked about?"

GM Comrade Frost's small frozen tornado swirled upward, catching Aquarius in the center of the icy cold. It lasted a few moments, and then the rain was back, as the brief snow fell down among the new drops. When it was done, Frost saw Aquarius still hovering in place, shaking some frost and ice from his costume and cape. But otherwise, the man seemed unfazed by the icy attack. Off in the direction of town, the woman in the golden costume brought her hands up in front of her, as a wave of magnetic force blasted forth towards Tiamat’s massive form. The blast struck the dragon, a powerful hit, but one she was once again able to shrug off. Then Libra disappeared from view. Fairview Church The Staff Sergeant was quiet a moment, before answering Fleur's question. "I dropped him off near the center of town, near the intersection of the two rural highways. I think he was heading north from there." He then shook his head at the offer to take him someplace safer. "My men are still here in danger ma'am. I am not leaving until I know there is nothing more I can do for them. Certainly not going to leave Jones here while I take off." The priest shook his head as well. "I thank you for the offer, but I will remain here should any others need me."

GM Gabriel's sonic wave stuck the golden helmeted Aries, the supervillain seeming to seize up for a moment. But the man snarled and managed to force his body to move once more, fighting against the hero's attack. The man in the brass mask swooped down further, coming to a halt about sixty feet above Gabriel. "Oh, we are just getting started hero. Aries was simply trying to get you off balance to start." With that one of the man’s hands came up and a blot of electricity shot forth towards Gabriel. The white clad hero easily moved to one side, the bolt flying well wide and striking the ground down below him. On a normal summer day, there might have been the fear that the bolt would start a fire. But the heavy rain Aquarius had broght over Fairview all but eliminated that fear.

Tsunami had been somewhat concerned by the fact a group of Marines would be following them down into the depths in the Navy’s experimental deep water submarines. But Myrmidon had addressed the issue, and likely with more pertinent observations than the Asian teen could have provided. Once the Captain had given his response, which seemed good enough for Myrmidon, for the moment, she added one comment of her own. "As long as they remember that their high explosive torpedoes are not going to be of any use against Blood, and thus more likely to just cause us problems." She then moved over toward the edge once Myr had leapt over the side. "No reason not to get going. Myrmidon has become a fair swimmer, but not nearly as fast as us." She stated to Glamazon. With that, Tsunami dove over the side of the ship, her water forcefield forming around her as she feel downward, and then sliced into the waters below, quickly descending down away from the surface as she noted Myrmidon's location and set off after him.

"Oh no." Velocity stated as she and Grim arrived near the overturned bus and she spotted the blood seeping out from underneath. The speedster was relieved to see that everyone inside seemed to be breathing, but that did not mean that they were not injured. "You start checking on them to see if any are injured and how badly, I will try to find some shelter to move them to so they are out of the storm." Once Grim exited the backpack, Velocity was off again in a blur. It was scant seconds later that she had returned to the bus, skidding to a halt and then quickly climbing in after Grim. "I found an old bomb shelter not too far away. It looks like the best bet."

"Oh wow." Velocity exclaimed as they reached the edge of the crater and started their way down, the dwellings built into the cliff side walls readily visible. The yellow clad speedster was able to quickly take in the scene, focusing on numerous details far faster than a normal person could. As she caught sight of the massive building built down in the deepest part of the crater, appearing to be made of the same metal as the armor worn by the women they had met thus far, her mind was racing. Glancing over at the other two, she spoke in a low voice. "Say, do you think this strange metal came from some meteorite that caused this crater? If so, it could have some really unusual properties."

"He's a pig." Strand responded as Harry commented about Machine Fist. The costumed criminal then gave him a small sneer as he began talking about the BHDA’s need for charity. "Nice try, but I wouldn't push your luck." She then proceeded to give the pair the address for the exchange, which was to take place within a half hour or so. "Well, a girl has to make a living." Strand replied to Lucy’s comment about not trying this again in Freedom City. "But I think I will try to avoid this town in the future." She added, before jumping off the rooftop, using her hair to swing away from the building. The address for the warehouse where the exchange was taking place was not too far away, but with the Caddy busted, that might still prove a small problem. Down below, Freddy slowly came back awake, his bloody form lying in the street near the crashed Caddy.

Dee was sitting at a table set up at the aft deck of the boat, looking out at the passing shoreline as they began their trip down the Nile, sipping some of the tea prepared by the ship's cook. She still had her headscarf and sunglasses on, though had retrieved her bag which contained her costume before they had started the trip. "Bloody wonderful, another old ruin of the Cold War to explore." She commented as Professor Zaki described their destination. "But then, the last one was not completely abandoned either, despite its outward appearance."

"Of course there are." Giang replied as Thaelia quickly added that the track had hidden traps and obstacles on it, to make sure the race was even more difficult than it otherwise would be with other riders able to attack them and their chariot during the race. The Asian teen surrounded herself with her watery forcefield, to help protect her from any such attacks, as she guided the chariot toward the starting position for the race. As she did so, Giang tried to get as best a feel for how the giant seahorse pulling the chariot reacted and how difficult it might be to control.
