Even as Foreshadow's escrima stick connected with Sureshot, the costumed criminal was already pulling back, reducing the force of the impact slightly. It was still enough to cause his head to snap back, but he maintained his awareness enough to push off the trunk of the sedan with his right foot, as he flipped over to land on his feet behind the vehicle. Sureshot immediately sprung into a back arial, carrying him a bit further from the sedan as he landed upright once more, another energy disc flying from his hands. This one stuck the trunk of the sedan, ricocheting upward towards Foreshadow, who was quick enough to dodge aside and avoid the energy disc. From his new vantage point, Foreshadow was able to see that the two groups of gang members down the street were pretty much reached a stalemate of exchanging fire at each other from too far a distance to really result in any casualties.

That hits, Sureshot takes a bruise, after only getting a 17 on his toughness roll.

Hmm, I would say you could jump onto the hood of the second car, hit the other gunman, then flip onto the roof of the sedan, putting you in position to attack Sureshot. So yeah, go ahead.

GM The group sat quietly, observing the Triceratops as the herd passed along in front of them, Zandar waiting until the herd had moved well past them before standing back up and continuing onward. As they moved forward, the teens saw that the passage of the herd of three horned dinosaurs left a rather obvious trail behind of trampled grass and upturned dirt. As the group continued on through the hot sun, they continued to pass small groups of knee-high dinosaurs that darted to and fro. There were also groups of larger dinosaurs, though most further off than the herd of Triceratops that had passed by so closely. There was a small herd of massive suropods, with their long necks and tails that made the longer than a city bus, and when the group was down closer to the wide river, a herd of duckbilled dinosaurs, which were down in the reeds and marsh areas along the banks of the river. Once they neared the river, Zandar turned the group toward the East, and within half an hour they had reached the tree line of another jungle. This time, the group remained on the ground level, moving into the dim light created by the thick canopy of trees above. They were about half an hour into the jungle when Zandar stopped the group as he crouched down and was studying the ground for a few moments. "Someone passed by here not long ago." The Jungle Lord stated finally. "Wearing boots from your world."

Velocity glanced over at Robert's voice, relived to see that he was recovering, or at least starting to. In a flash of movement, the speedster moved and tied up the other Duke, just to be on the safe side. "Maybe next time you will listen to me when I am uncertain about something." She said in a slightly teasing tone. "The food was drugged, including drugging the Duke himself. Only, there are at least two version of the Duke running around, possibly more." "I am going to make sure these people get safely clear of the castle, the come back here." Velocity then added. "See if you can get an idea if what might be going on with all of...this." She indicated the various equipment down in the cellar. She then followed after the servants, quickly getting in front of them to make sure the way out was clear.

Round Eight Foreshadow 32 (Unharmed, 2 HP) Sureshot 27 Gunmen 19 Shore Gangstas 15 Los Tiburones 11

"Surrender? So very kind of you to offer." The man on with the glowing energy discs replied. "I go by Sureshot, and I think I'll take my chances with trying to finish what I was hired to do!" With that, he jumped onto the roof of the sedan, flipping off it to land on the trunk. While he was in mid-flight, he flung another of the energy discs that he produced out of thin air at Foreshadow. But once again the supercriminal's aim was well off, and the costumed crime fighter dodged the attack with little effort. The Foreshadow received a warning from his precognitive ability as the other gunman in black utilities popped back up from behind the car, firing a burst from his sub-machinegun. Foreshadow easily ducked as the man fired, the burst flying harmlessly over his head, only to blast out a store window down the block.

Sureshot tries to attack Foreshadow again, and is not getting any closer, missing with a 11. The other gunman shoots at Forshadow, getting a bit closer, but still missing with a 18.

Velocity continued facing Harridan while the army of gorillas began to appear around them. But she was busy carefully studying the hundreds of gorillas that were now visible, her speed and goggles allowing her to keep track of what all was going on around them without even turning her head or otherwise appearing distracted. While she certainly did not like the look of things, all she could do for the moment was see if there was some way of reaching some agreement with Harridan and the other gorilla nobles who had first been visible. "As Edge, a representative from UNISON, indicates, we are not in a position to just hand any of the Crime League over to you Lord Harridan, even if they were being held nearby." The speedster stated. "Perhaps we should focus on what we can possibly do for you. Would you like to meet your fellow country…ape?"

Deborah Magson gave Amir a friendly smile as he came over and greeted her just in the wake of Topple's announcement. "Awkward? Why Mr. al-Misri, I would hardly have expected you to ever really feel that way." She replied, grinning slightly. “And thank you.†She added, shaking his hand. "I would really love to talk awhile, but it seems your fellow sponsor wishes to have some group photos." She then added, noting the makeshift "stage" where Topple had called up all the award recipients. "Perhaps we can talk more afterward?" She then made her way up to join the others with Topple and Equalizer for the photos. Topple looked out as the group began gathering and the photographers began arranging them. "Amir, Knute, you both should be up here as well!" He called out, signaling to the two other sponsors of the event. As they made their way up, Amir noted that Knute seemed a bit irritated with Topple as well. Soon they were up on the stage as well, joining the group as the photographers started taking pictures. The process took a bit of time, but eventually it was done as the group began to disperse once more, Topple and Equalizer making their way out into the crowd with the rest.

One of Sureshot's glowing energy discs slams into the back of the sedan driver, knocking him into the side of the sedan, before he crumpled into an unconscious heap on the street. The costumed criminal then flipped up to land on the hood of the sedan, his head turning to focus on Foreshadow. On the passenger side of the other car, the other black fatigued gunman managed to recover from being shot, gripping his sub-machinegun more firmly once more. The gang member in the back of the sedan was focused on Foreshadow, clearly panicking now as he fired another burst from his weapon. His aim was even worse than before, as the shots slammed into the back of the other car, one blasting out part of the back windshield. Further down the street, the Shore Gangstas and Los Tiburones continued to trade fire, but Foreshadow was not in a position to see if any of the members of either gang were hit.

Sureshot takes 10 to hit the sedan driver in the back with a disk, also uses Power Attack (-5 atk/+5 dam). The sedan driver only gets a 17 on his toughness save and goes down. The other gunman shakes off the daze. The gang member in the sedan tires to shoot Foreshadow, coming nowhere close with a 10. On to Round Seven Foreshadow 32 (Unharmed, 2 HP) Sureshot 27 Gunmen 19 Shore Gangstas 15 Los Tiburones 11 Foreshadow is up again!

"Ummm…" Velocity began at Frost’s firm question to her, "I don't think so. The running guy certainly did not react to me. But if he or any others I might have missed have the right super-senses, they might have detected me." She replied. The speedster then continued, "I think Frost is generally right. We probably cannot delay too much longer. It is only a matter of time before the guy I saw finds the soldier in the church, or possibly even one of the others, though I did not spot any of them, but he could come across them on the move."

The gunman does well, getting a 19 on his toughness save, but still not good enough as a minion, so he is out. Go ahead and post!

Round Six Foreshadow 32 (Unharmed, 2 HP) Sureshot 27 Gunmen 19 Shore Gangstas 15 Los Tiburones 11

Sureshot continues running after Foreshadow, leaping over a bench before sprinting up a sidewalk. He leapt up and sprung off the ledge of a shop window, the maneuver carrying him up on top of a bus stop. He immediately propelled himself up into the air, his arm swinging out again to throw another glowing disk at the costumed crime fighter. While this attack came closer than the last one, it was still easily dodged by Foreshadow. Sureshot flipped in the air, landing in the street and continued sprinting forward. The gunman that just took Foreshadow's attack took a few steps back from the costumed crime fighter, firing a burst from his sub-machinegun as he went. But his attack was rushed, and Foreshadow easily anticipated it, dodging aside so the bullets went well wide. On the other side of the car, the other gunman opened fire into the gang sedan, hitting a gang member sitting in the front passenger seat. At least two bullets hit the gang member, and he collapsed in his seat, clearly in bad shape. The driver of the sedan exited the vehicle and fired his pistol at the gunman who just shot his friend, hitting the man in the shoulder. The hit gunman was twisted around by the impact, collapsing against the car he had been in. In the backseat of the sedan, another gang member stuck a sub-machinegun out the window as he fired a burst at both Foreshadow and the gunman near the costumed crime fighter. But both targets were able to dodge the wild attack, and the bullets bounced harmlessly around them.

Sureshot makes another attack on Foreshadow, missing again with a 16. The gunman near Foreshadow shoots at him, also missing with a 12. The other gunman fires into the car, hitting one of the gang members with a 18. The gang member only gets a 6 on his toughness save, so he is in a world of hurt. The sedan driver gets out and shoots at the gunman that just shot his friend, just hitting with a 15. Gunman 2 gets a 9 on his toughness save, so is injured and dazed. A gang member in the back of the sedan sticks a SMG out the back window and fires at both Gunman 1 and Foreshadow. He misses both with a 12.
