Velocity remained calm when the other four armored women arrived, looking to Gabriel to provide some translation as to what was said by the first armored woman. "Sure, should not be a problem." She replied as she prepared to follow along with the group, having to slightly remind herself stay at a more normal speed. Hmm, nothing but armed women so far, and a Queen. This some sort of Amazon like culture? The speedster thought to herself, also noting how one of the more timid women had seemed fascinated by the Pegasus, something clearly not meeting the approval of the leader.

Velocity glanced over her shoulder at the unconscious Duke and butler as Grimalkin saw and commented on them, something that was really unnecessary thanks to her goggles, but still habit. "Not exactly sure what is up with the copy. Maybe a duplicate of some kind? I think we are likely to find out. So keep an eye out for any more showing up." Once the two unconscious men had been moved down into the cellar and Grimalkin had provided a rope, Velocity had them both bound in the blink of an eye. She then took a moment to check on Robert before considering what their next move should be. "So, shall we get the staff clear of the castle," she indicated the maids and others in the room that now only wanted to leave the Duke's employment, "and then start looking around to get a better idea what might be going on?"

I agree with Rav on this, I do not like the idea of saying that the only three major space powers mentioned in the FC sourcebook each have roughly a third of our galaxy under their control. (This is irrespective of the discussion last night on how the Stellar Khanate should be the smallest of the three). I like the idea that a majority of our galaxy is not controlled by those three space powers, either being unexplored (by those three) or under the control of other space powers, after all, on the opposite side of the galaxy, there could be a space power that rivals the Lor Republic in size. (Freedom’s Most Wanted talks about the Jerreid Hegemony, the race of seven and a half foot tall humanoid alligators which the Alien-Gator was one of) Also, I am not so sure about placing Earth within the borders of the Lor Republic (or at least very far into its borders). The FC Sourcebook talks about the Lor only learning of Earth when Daedalus traveled the stars. I would place Earth along the Lor/Grue border, perhaps just at the more recently expanded Lor border (which would also tie into things discussed about the Alien-Gator and the Jerreid Hegemony)

After they got the constable to stay back and keep the civilians out of the ruins, Dee did her best to try to sneak in while Young Britannia took a direct route in, not trying to hide herself. Stealth was not one of Dee's strong points, but she hoped Angus would draw most of the attention of whomever might be waiting in the ruins. Reaching a point where she could see Lucy, just as Angus arrived as well, Dee stopped and waited to see what happened. Not that there was a whole lot she could do against Lucy Diamond anyway.

Velocity took a brief (a VERY brief) moment to take in the scene of Rutte speaking with another exact copy of the Duke. She knew she should not be surprised by this, but still was a little bit. Luckily, a little bit of surprise for her was barely noticeable to most. "That's fine." The speedster responded back to the Duke. "I won't be taking you for just a harmless old dullard anymore either." And with that, she stopped vibrating her body, making herself solid once more, as she covered the distance between herself and the two men in the blink of an eye. *CRACK* *CRACK* Her fist shot out twice, faster than most could see, breaking the sound barrier each time, as she landed a solid hits on both Rutte and this copy/duplicate/whatever of the Duke. Both men were knocked off their feet, flying back to slam into the opposite walls of the hallway before crumpling on the floor unconscious. And then almost instantly, Velocity was back by the door to the cellar, pulling aside the bolt to unlock the door.

Want to keep us moving here, so I will be posting again tonight!

Okay, you said that initiative would be rather pointless (least for Velocity), so, she will shift her speed array to Rapid Attack. Using Power attack (-4 accuracy for +4 damage), she will target the duke with the crossbow and the head butler, getting a 27 on the attack roll for the targeted, selective area. DC 29 toughness save. Then using move by action, she will move back to the door and try to slide the bolt open.
-
So, attacking the first gunman, he makes his toughness save with a 25!
-
Okay, just to clarify the situation, the gunmen are both outside the car now. You will need to move first (as you are swinging) and then can switch the array. They are near enough to the car that you can land on the roof and then attack one and try for a Takedown attack for the other.

One by one the other award recipients were called up by Topple to receive their awards. Even with the pauses for photographs, the entire process only took about twenty minutes, during which the Rebel had made its way through the Great Bay and around Lonely Point before turning south to follow the shoreline. As Jessie, the last award recipient called, made her way back to her seat, Topple called for another round of applause for all of the award recipients. As the applause began to die down, Topple spoke up once more. "Such an inspiring group of well deserving recipients, I look forward to getting a chance to visit more with each of them over the evening. But before we get back to the celebration, I wanted to introduce someone some of you have been asking me about all evening, my new employee, my new bodyguard, and the wave of the future...ladies and gentlemen, I give you...the Equalizer!" At Topple's introduction, the man in the red and chrome armor that had been standing off to one side of the festivities thus far stepped forward to stand by Topple, given a small nod to the gathered crowd. "It is not at all for people like me to make tempting targets for supercriminals." Topple continued. "After all, we cannot all be like Amir and have the ability to deal with such threats ourselves. So if there is another CEO out there who doesn't feel safe, why shouldn't they be able to have their own Equalizer to keep them safe? If a corporation needs a chief of security who can rise to the challenge of the increasing dangers of our world, then the Equalizer could be the answer. But beyond the private sector, if a SWAT team is simply unable to provide a city's needs in the face of superpowered threats, maybe an Equalizer is all that is needed." Several of the gathered journalists seemed ready to start a barrage of questions, but Topple anticipated this and put up his hands as he addressed the press. "Now, please lets hold any questions, I will be happy to circulate during the party to answer any you may have. But for now, let's have all the award recipients up here for some group pictures."

Thanks Lazer. APPROVED

Lazer, it all looks good to me, but could you add a bit of clarification on the Lockout for the Snare in the whip (ie that is prevents you from using any other powers in the whip while you have a target snared), as it is not completely clear. Thanks.

As Foreshadow swings towards the sedan and the car that had slammed into it, the man with the glowing discs started off after him, running along the sidewalk. He used a parked car to vault himself up into the air as he went, later hurdling a set of newspaper boxes, none of which seemed to slow him down as he went. He made pretty good time in keeping after the costumed crime fighter, another glowing disc spinning skyward as he went. However, this time the man's aim was very off, the disc passing well behind Foreshadow. below, two men in black fatigues climbed out of the car that had crashed into the sedan, seeming to just get their bearings again. Each had a sub-machinegun in hand. Gunfire continued to sound from the other end of the street, as the two gangs continued to shoot at each other.

So, Sureshot is anything but, as he misses with a 11. Round Five Foreshadow 32 (Unharmed, 2 HP) Sureshot 27 Gunmen 19 Shore Gangstas 15 Los Tiburones 11 Foreshadow is up!
-
Okay, go ahead and post heading toward the sedan. It is going to take a full round of movement to get close enough to act next round. And....because it would be really cruel for me to give you that flash of warning without giving you a chance to do something about it, I will say the gunmen in the other car were a bit dazed by ramming into the sedan, so are not going to be able to act till next round.

Round Four Foreshadow 32 (Unharmed, 2 HP Sureshot 27 Gunmen 19 Shore Gangstas 15 Los Tiburones 11 Foreshadow gets that HP right back, as things are now more complicated! And he is up!

The man with the glowing green on his otherwise black and grey costume had stepped out from an alleyway and was looking up at Foreshadow as the hero swung through the air. "So you are here as was expected." He called out, as a glowing green discs formed in both his hands. The man took a couple of steps forward, leaping up off a bench and twisting around as he sent one of the discs flying toward Foreshadow. The glowing green disc spun as it flew upward, coming straight for the costumed crime fighter. At the last moment, Foreshadow managed to twist to one side, causing the glowing disc to glance off him instead of connecting solidly. Even so, Foreshadow felt a slight shock from the glowing energy disc, but no so severe that it would affect his abilities. Down on the street where Foreshadow had been heading before this newcomer had arrived, the gang members who had exited the SUV began to open fire at the advancing Los Tiburones with their sub-machineguns. The Los Tiburones quickly sought any sort of cover they could find and returned fire with their handguns. The range between the two groups made for poor accuracy, though one of the Los Tiburones had been hit in the leg when the Shoreline Gangstas had initially started firing. Just then Foreshadow received another hazy vision, he knew there were men exiting the car that had slammed into the side of the sedan several of the Shoreline Gangstas has been retreating in, men armed with automatic weapons they were about to use on the dazed gang members in the sedan….

If you do the Lost World one, I volunteer Tsunami! She has been there twice before and knows Zandar and his family well (and has also been to Nova Roma and the Incan city (which name I cannot recall at the moment and am not looking up )) -
Opposed Stealth : 22, so you are in the middle of your swing when you spot this guy. Go ahead and post IC.

Round Three Foreshadow 32 Shore Gangstas 15 Los Tiburones 11 Back to Foreshadow!

While the sniper was down, the scene down below continued to unfold. The car continued to drive in reverse, passing into another intersection, where a car coming down the side street slammed into it, pushing the car some twenty feet before both came to a halt. The gang members in the SUV had exited to the side away from the sniper, using the SUV and the parked car it had crashed into as cover. Meanwhile, the gang members that had been in the parking lot of the apartment building had continued to close on the SUV, a few of them firing shots from pistols at the SUV...

Yeah, the sniper only gets a 7 on his toughness save, so he is out!
