Well, I do not believe we allow you to reduce the cost of an Immunity to 0. Typically people pair a 1 PP Immunity with another 1 PP Immunity and after the flaw only pay 1 PP for both. So maybe you would want to pair it with Immunity Cold or Poison? As for what it would do, I believe it would protect you from hot environments, but not from extremely hot environments (ie works for the heat of a jungle or a normal desert, but not going to help you down inside a active volcano or a planet that is really, really hot).

Okay, long post TA, feel free to have a quick response (if any) for Asad in his interaction with Mariam and Jessi, as well as any reactions during the introductions. Thunder, Avo, Dark, you can each handle your characters being called up to receive their awards (and of course their thoughts and feelings in the whole process). I'll pick up again once all that is done.

Asad]/u] Miriam's eyes widened ever so slightly as Amir introduced himself, clear sign that she did recognize his name, even if she did not put the name to the face. She seemed a bit at a loss for words he offered the card for the substance abuse charity, but that passed as she took the card, glanced at its face before looking back at Amir. "I...thank you very much Mr. al-Misri. I certainly will be giving them a call. I...I am very interested in seeing my product put to good use helping those struggling with alcoholism. My...deceased husband had a drinking problem...and I was just talking to Jessi about the dangers of alcohol abuse." For her part, Jessi looked at the card a moment, her expression showing a slight hint look of disbelief at the offer mixed with a hint of teenage defiance. But she took the card from Amir's hand, giving him a small nod. "Thank you. I...I will think about it." Miriam gave a wide smile at Amir's teasing as she replied. "I certainly appreciate the offer Mr. al-Misri, but I really do not think an island would be necessary to do my work." Everyone Just as Titan and Riff started to head over to try to do what they could to rescue Jessi from likely boredom, Andrew Topple's voice cut over all the individual conversations, amplified by the speakers the microphone he was holding were tied to. "Alright everyone, now that we are underway, it is time to get things started." The CEO stated as he stood out in the "center stage" set up before the tables. As the various conversations died off, Topple continued. "Welcome to the Fourth Annual Inspiration Celebration! And as always, we have an array of very deserving award recipients this year." "Now I am very honored to be able to recognize such outstanding individuals whose ingenuity, vision and example have done so much for our society and our community. But I am not alone in this, I am joined in this by two other business leaders who recognize and value the incredible contributions made by this year's recipients. First, can I introduce Kunte Smith. Please wave your hand Knute." Topple continued, pointing out the other sponsor. "And Amir al-Misri." He added, indicating Amir as well. "I know that if they have not already had the chance to do so, they will be making the time to congratulate each of our award recipients personally over the course of the evening." "So, our first recipient tonight, receiving the Inspiring Invention prize, or gadgets, is Nadiya Schmidt for her Chameleon Bikini." The woman in the red dress with short black hair (with a touch of grey) made her way towards Topple, limping slightly as she went and favoring her cane. The young attractive blonde in the bikini that was with her remained off to one side as Topple congratulated Nadiya, handing her a plaque and a check for further funding of her invention, pausing briefly for some photographs. After Nadiya had made her way back off the "stage," Topple continued, "Okay, next up we have..."

Megan was a little surprised at first at how quickly Robert had thrown caution to the wind and started eating the food set out before them. She had to admit that it was smelled temptingly delicious, but she had learned over the years to be cautions when unusual things were going on. She would have thought Robert would have learned that by now as well. The abandoned with which he began to eat really made her feel like something more was going on here. When Lynn began to pile everything within reach on her plate, including things Megan was sure Lynn was not supposed to eat, the speedster looked at her fellow heroine, trying to see if she could figure out what was going on. That was when she caught the warning on Lynn's eyelids, flashed ever so briefly, but more than long enough for Megan to catch. A real sense of worry hit Megan then, as Robert was continuing to eat the food. But she quickly realized it was best to play along, hoping that whatever was in the food would not be harmful to him. "I suppose your right." She replied to Robert as she began putting food on her plate as well. But as she made to eat it, she made sure that none of it reached her mouth, something made easier by being able to move her hands faster than many could follow.

So, here is a draft of my Space PC. Going to reshuffle some things so that Synapse takes my second PL 10 slot, which allows me to use my silver award for Equipment Points/etc and use my Gold to make Paradigm as a PL 12 (180 PP). Still a few things to finish up. Paradigm (PL11/12) Player Name Thevshi Character Name: Paradigm Power Level: 11/12 (177/180PP) Trade-Offs: -2 Def/+2 Toughness; -2 Atk/+2 Damage Unspent Power Points: 0 Progress to Platinum Status: 0/120 (Gold Status earned with Velocity) Bronze: Bump PL7 character slot to PL10 for Tsunami Silver: 15 pp of Equipment (6 PP spent on Velocity) Gold: Paradigm (PL 12, 180 PP) In Brief: An alien paragon who defended a long forgotten space empire, recently revived after two millennium in suspended animation. Alternate Identity: Amara Val-Ren Identity: Public Birthplace: Naram Prime Occupation: Praetorian of the Delaztri Empire Affiliations: Praetorians Family: Daar Val-Ren (brother - deceased) Age: 40 (DOB: over 2,000 years ago) Apparent Age: 20 Gender: Female Height: 5’ 8†Weight: 3,000 lbs Eyes: Yellow Hair: Dark Purple/Black (description) Paradigm’s costume is a full length white bodysuit, with black diamonds on the shoulders, upper chest and back, which were surrounded by golden yellow trim. Black gloves go up almost the length of each forearms, and her black boots go halfway up her calves, both also having golden yellow trim. A long, black cape completes the outfit. Power Descriptions: History: Over two thousand years ago, the Delaztri Empire ruled an area of space encompassing hundreds of worlds. After more expansive conquests centuries earlier, the Empire’s growth had greatly slowed, the Empire turning away from aggressive expansion and instead focusing on governing the diverse races within its borders. What little growth that continued to occur was mainly the result of diplomacy, and planets choosing to peacefully integrate into the Empire, looking to gain the benefits of Delaztri rule. During this time, the greatest defenders of the Delaztri Empire were the Praetorians (the closest English/Lor translation of the original title), an organization consisting of hundreds of individuals of incredible power, recruited among the many different races within the Empire’s boarders. Amara Val-Ren was born on Naram, a planet long under the rule of the Delaztri. Amara's people were genetically stronger and tougher than many other humanoid species, with members of the species chosen to undergo genetic and radiation treatments to produce powerful members of the Praetorians. The numbers of Naram subjected to such treatments were usually kept low by the Delaztri, for fear of creating a force of superpowered Naram that might choose to depose them. Amara's older brother, Daar, had been selected to join the Praetorians when she was still a young girl, eventually rising to be one of the leading members of the organization. Inspired by her brother, Amara dedicated herself to trying to earn the right to undergo the enhancement treatments and become a member of the Praetorians as well. When Amara had reached her thirty-fifth cycle (roughly about eighteen for a human), she competed in a contest with other Naram for the honor of being selected for the enhancement treatment and membership in the Praetorians. Although the various trials were grueling, Amara managed to finish ahead of the other competitors, earning herself the chance to follow in her older brother's footsteps. Amara left Naram behind, traveling to the seat of the empire to undergo the enhancement treatment. The process was painful, but resulted in the young Naram's body density vastly increasing, with no outward change to her appearance. Her natural strength and durability were vastly increased, with Amara also developing the ability to fly, even through the cold expanse of space, and to survive unharmed in almost any environment. It was not long after that Amara was inducted as a member of the Praetorians, joining her older brother in defending the empire. For the next five years, she served loyally, facing numerous dangers as a Praetorian. Then, a new enemy appeared at the boarders of the empire, pushing quickly into Delzatri space, and swatting aside the initial responses from the Delzatri Navy and the Praetorians. Ultimately, the entire might of the Praetorians was thrown at this threat and following several climatic battles, the enemy was defeated and driven from Delzatri space. But the victory came at a high price. Just over three quarters of the Praetorians were dead before the enemy was finally repulsed, including Daar Val-Ren. As the few dozen weary and battered survivors made their way back from the front, the damaged Delzatri Naval ships they were aboard were intercepted by one of the Curator's museum ships. The ancient Preserver created AI had decided that the surviving Praetorians needed to be collected and preserved by him. The surviving Praetorians naturally resisted, but were overwhelmed by the Curator's drones and placed in suspended animation and brought back to his vast ringworld. The Delzatri Empire collapsed not long after, while Amara and the others have sat in suspended animation every since... Personality & Motivation: Powers & Tactics: Complications: Stuff of Legends Although the Delaztri Empire has long since ceased to be, there are still parts of the galaxy where the Empire and its Praetorians are legends. On some worlds, the Praetorians are recalled as legendary heroes, but on other worlds, history has come to paint them as oppressors and conquers. So, this hasn't been updated in a bit KD, seeing as the Seniors that were on the list have graduated and everyone else has moved up. I also believe there has been a New Next Gen formed. Knowing who all is on that could be useful for GMs....not to mention the Ref Team, as we plan stuff for the coming Event
-
Ah yes, forgot about the need to change it from ranged to touch range.

Velocity walked alongside Robert as they followed the Duke into the castle. As was often the case when she was in costume, Megan had to resist an urge to move quicker than normal and instead stay the same pace as the rest of the group. She tried to distract herself somewhat by carefully taking in everything around her, a task her goggle made easier as she did not even need to turn her head to do so. As they were lead into the large dining room and the Duke took his seat at the head of the table, clearly ready for dinner, the speedster leaned a bit closer to Robert as she whispered. "Is all the food slowed down as well, and any guess what eating it might do to us?"
-
Yeah, stealth...not Synapse's strong point. She does about as good as she can with a 20. Normally she is good at spotting things, but maybe not this time, only getting a 15 on the Notice check.

Hey Lazer! So, a few things in addition to what others have mentioned. Your fluff could use a bit of polishing and could be used to explain some things regarding your powers/skills. For Combat, your attack line should read: Attack: +4 Base, +8 Melee For the Energy Whip device: In the array, Snare 6 + Extended 3 and Reversible is 10 PP (well 16 before a flaw). I don't think you mean to have the lockout a drawback (which would only be -1 PP), but instead a flaw. I would write it as: Flaw: Lockout, cannot use other array powers while a target is snared. It might also make sense for the snare to have the Tether feat (although that would require either adding some more points to the array or some other change) Also, I have a question on the rational for the other two powers in the Energy Whip (ie the ones not in the array). How does the device boost your characters Fortitude save and provide him a danger sense? That does not quite make sense for a handheld technological device. Also, how did your character develop a half effect Immunity of Electricity? Not saying that you cannot come up with a reason, would just like some explanation to explain how this superpower developed.

San Diego International Airport San Diego, California Wednesday, July 30, 2014; 10:21 AM Giang Trang stood in a hallway of the San Diego airport through which passengers debarking from international flights would pass after they left the security area of the terminal. The Asian teen was wearing a pair of khaki shorts and a red T-shirt with the seal of the city of Del Mar on the upper left side and the word "LIFEGUARD" across the back, along with a pair of sandals, allowing her to not look at all out of place among some of the other young women nearby. Although Giang exhibited her typical serene exterior, on the inside, she was feeling a slight sense of excitement as she awaited the arrival of two of her closest friends from her time at Claremont. Both she and Mali had graduated from the Academy in late May, while Cerys still had one more year. Very shortly after graduation, Giang had accompanied her roommate Thaelia down to Atlantis for a couple of weeks, before returning to Freedom City to pack up her few possessions and travel out to San Diego in an attempt to find a job for the rest of the summer as she waited for her college classes to begin in the fall at the University of California: San Diego, where she planned to major in Environmental Systems. Mali had taken a trip to Thailand following graduation, and Cerys had left the states as well. But Giang had managed to stay in touch with the two, and once she had secured a job as lifeguard here and found herself a small apartment, the Asian teen had invited the two to come visit on their way back to Freedom City. The number of people exiting the security area of the terminal began to increase, an indication of some recent arrivals, causing Giang to focus on spotting whichever of her two friends would be the first to arrive....

Dee had to struggle to keep from collapsing as the various images provided by the Sleeper began whirling through her head. Luckily her mind tended to be much quicker than the average persons to begin with. She too mental note of the various individuals named, events she saw, things she would need to go over with the Ministry of Powers and likely MI6 at some point later. She felt a feeling of hot rage come over her as she caught glimpses of her sister, and the Sleeper studying both Susan's file and her own. The Englishwoman then broke contact with the Sleeper, smirking slightly at the elderly man. "I could almost admire you for getting the better of Crab. Except you are just like him. Maybe even worse." "A lifetime of scheming and plotting, and what has it gotten you? Hiding away in a decaying building. Whatever the case, this little scheme is at an end, and I am going to do what I can to root out as many of the others you have lying about as I can."

Set's attempts at flattery did little to distract Giang from the fact that he was being evasive and declining to answer her questions. But the Aisan teen realized that pressing Set on the issues was rather unlikely to generate any answers in any event. So, she let the matter drop. Set's insistence that he did owe each of them a favor was not lost on her either, a likely indication that he would be turning back up in each of their lives again at some point. Instead she turned to Will's questions as they waited for the authorities to arrive. "That is a decision for the authorities to make." She replied simply. "But I do imagine that they will seek some form of assistance in examining this technology."

26 Revenant (unharmed, 1 HP) 24 Harry (unharmed) (Chevy crashed) 19 Bloody Mess (unconscious, 4 HP) 6 Strand (bruised) Lucy is up!
-
Strand managed to agilely dodge aside as Lucy came hurtling down onto the rooftop, creating a few cracks as she landed with considerable force. Focusing on the undead attorney, the costumed criminal's hair coiled in before launching out in a large mass aimed at Lucy. But Lucy was quicker at regaining her balance than Stand anticipated, and easily dodged the attack. The supercriminal pulled her hair back, the mass of dark brown hair swirling around her as she continued to face off with Lucy. "Why can't you all just give a girl trying to get by a break?" She began. "If you all were willing to just let me go my way, I would tell where the statue is headed. The longer you waste with me, the closer it is to the delivery of the goods to the buyer."
-
Strand tries to attack Rev, and misses badly with a 12.
-
As we discussed in chat, choosing to take this as a total fail for the Toughness save means just knocked out (without any of the other effects). SO, if you want to do that for a HP, go ahead!
-
sure thing! So, Mess is up!
-
That does miss. Harry is up, then Freddy!

Having brought the Pegasus spaceplane down in a field near the Duke's castle, Velocity powered down the aircraft before following the others off. Robert's announcement that the castle was under a similar effect to what the Duke suffered from was not exactly surprising, but still was troubling. Megan really had no idea how an entire castle (and presumably all its inhabitants) could just be slowed down like this without attracting someone's attention. It was seeming to sound more and more like something tide to magic, of which Megan knew very little. A though wondered into the young woman's mind, reports the Freedom League had received though the intelligence community about some But Megan could not really see how that report could in any way be connected to what was going on here. She focused on the Duke as he invited them in, smiling. "Thank you your Grace. Although, we probably should not wait too long before trying investigate what could be causing the slowdown of time in this location."

PS: Actually, hold a moment on the Communications for the spaceship, have brought up the question in the ref cave so the ref team can decide how we want to address this.
