  1. Okay Rav, a few things I see. Minor fluff: you description of the hardsuit up in Power Descriptions says it has a beacon for the spaceships teleporter, but both those things have been removed. Under skills, Pilot should be 8 (+11) For the Spaceship: Concealment 6 with a power feat would be 13 EP, not 12. For the Alarm, you should list that it is DC 25. Should probably note the Navigation System gives +10 on navigation related skill checks. The Communications is not compliant with our rules on Communications and would need to be purchased in line with those rules. For Powers: Base power in Cosmic Array, how does a PL 10 character have 12 Impervious? For Blast, should list that the Affects Insubstantial is only 50% (ie a +5 damage blast)

    Firestorm

Gaian Knight and Tiamat were all but done clearing the vehicles involved in the accident fully off the highway lanes by the time Comrade Frost provided his observations of the ambush and the attackers. Fleur was moving to the next group of soldiers, when Velocity came speed up to a halt near the group, the long brown haired ponytail of the wig she wore in costume matted down with rain. "I did not make it to Fairview yet." She quickly began to explain. "I got about ten miles along the way before I found another soldier with the door of a Humvee. Looks like he was pulled out with the door somehow, had a lot of deep cuts and at least a broken arm. Seemed in pretty bad shape, possibly shock. Given the possibility of more serious broken bones, I was concerned about moving him. I tried to do what I could for the bleeding, but he is in need of some urgent medical attention."
  3. Asad Knute promised to call the next day if they did not have a chance to talk again before the night was over. Both he and his wife knew Amir all too well to take any offense to Amir's flirting, and started off themselves to meet with some of the other guests. Amir continued his mingling, stopping to say hello to several of the other high society types that he knew only too well. As it turned out, tonight it was easier than most to make ones way through the crowd, as Topple had kept the event rather small in number. So it was not long that he found the individual he had been looking for, seated at one of the tables with another one of the award recipients. The older woman Amir recalled as Mariam Koy, who had been working on an anti-intoxication treatment. She smiled warmly at Amir's arrival, nodding as she replied. "Of course, please join us." The teenager, Jessi Nelson, had quickly brightened up at the sound of another voice, appearing to be nearing the end of her rope with Koy. As quickly as she seemed to perk up with Amir's arrival, she quickly tried to go back to an act of uncaring indifference and gave a small shrug. "Yeah, sure why not." Mariam put down her champagne glass as she stood up and extended her hand. "Mariam Koy, Mr….?"

    Quicksand OOC

Okay, going to give people a bit more time for some last bit of interaction if they want!
  5. After a brief toast with Riff, Topple and his wife moved on to mingle with other guests and the media, leaving the rockstar superhero to be greeted by Titan, as the metallic hero moved over Riff's direction. It was about this time that the moorings were leased for the yacht, and the Rebel started to pull away from the dock and make its way into Centery Narrows, headed for the Great Bay. After Titan excused himself and made his way over to greet Riff, Knute and Karen were left with Amir, the pair seeming to fully understand the large metal man’s nervousness. Just as they three were beginning some additional small talk, Knute directed Amir's attention off towards the forward section of the deck. "Looks like Andy is rearing to get things underway with the awards." He said. Sure enough, Andrew Topple was talking with the First Officer and some other staff members in the area out in front of the three large tables that had been arrayed on the deck. Topple had a microphone in one hand, but apparently had not yet turned it on.
  6. Okay, discussed in chat that edits were made to address the above. Fixed a couple minor errors in power point costs (you had the correct totals at the bottom of the sheet, just not up above in a few places where you made the edits). APPROVED
  7. Hegemon, For stats, I count 39 pp worth, not 37 (for one thing, there is no need for the extra point in Dex, just drop it down to 24). You knockback should only be -7. I am not understanding what you are doing with your Will save. You have +2 Wis, but what is the rest of it? Also, as you list you PP below (which are slightly incorrect as you have 39 pp worth of stats at the moment) the total should only be 149.
  8. Velocity had taken a seat to listen as Robert and the Duke had talked about how these strange events had been uncovered, and it quickly became apparent that they were likely going to have to travel to the source in the Netherlands. The speedster was back up on her feet in a movement the others in the room could not follow. "Well, sounds like a little excursion is in order." She stated. "Unless you have any objections your Grace, it might be best for us to make our way to Freedom Hall, where we can use one of the League's spaceplanes to get us relatively quickly back to the Netherlands, and certainly in a more comfortable manner for everyone." When Lynn tried to give herself an excuse to sit this out to be replaced by her alterego, the Duke seemed intent on wanting both Lynn and Grim present. "Well…your Grace, not to dismiss Lynn, but I can assure you that Grimalkin is a sufficiently scholarly expert on the occult, in addition to her practical experience. She and I have known each other for several years."
  9. Giang had managed to make her way back up to the upper decks after her companions, a good deal of her concentration remaining on keeping the seal on the hole in the ship. She arrived in time to see Wave Eye turn away Captain Blood's attempt to ram the cruise ship, and the ghost pirates parting words. The mention of this "drowned man" certain bothered the Asian teen, given he appeared to have sway over Blood. She remained quiet as Wave Eye shouted his responses after the retreating ghost pirate, but focused on the others as Wave Eye turned to the issue of working together to prepare for the possible return of the pirate or his master. "I would always be willing to lend my powers to any would seek to stop ones such as Blood from threatening innocents."
  10. No Blue, it is specifically stated that it cannot. Otherwise, everyone would have the full 3 ranks for 1 pp (as they likely have a fair bit of flight already).
  11. Some comments for you Tiff: For the Power Pike, the Paralyze/Strike combo only costs 19PP. For the Autofire Blast, you might want to drop the Split Attack. Autofire already allows you to target multiple opponents (takes a full round action and includes some penalties depending on how spread out they are). As you have it right now, the Autofire has a max autofire bonus of +3 (the extra gives you up to +5 or half the base attack damage, whichever is less). Using Split Attack would seem to make the base attack damage +1, making you only able to get +1 in autofire bonus. One complication I was thinking about for the members of this former Imperial Guard (or whatever we call them) was that though the empire they served has long since faded, there are some systems in which there are still legends about the empire and its Imperial Guard. In some, they are viewed as legendary heroes, but on some worlds, they have come to be viewed as oppressors.
  12. Velocity gave a warm smile to Lynn as she faced the Duke and gave a small nod. "Very pleased to meet you your Grace. Yes, I am Velocity. I hope that we will be able to provide you some assistance." When Lynn's employees had suddenly entered the office in the wake of her and Robert's arrival, Velocity had briefly (oh so briefly) tensed, but her goggles allowed her to see who had arrived without even turning her head, so she relaxed once more. It all happened in less than a blink of an eye, so for most observes, the yellow clad speedster had appeared to merely stand there calmly at the sudden intrusion. She did turn and give Gretchen and Lance a small smile before focusing back on Lynn and the Duke. "Lynn, your Grace, this is Lord Harrow." She provided in introduction as she indicated Robert. "Robert and I have had some….experiences involving time that have provided him a rather unique perspective." She added.
  13. Eh Cape, I was going to have it that Lawrence came along with us, but I guess I'll edit my last post. I should get another post up tonight.
  14. Megan almost laughed at Lynn's question about whether she had something to write with. Even if she did not (and in fact, she did not have anything to write with in the dance studio), getting to somewhere where she did have something to write with took less time than it did for Lynn to finish the question. Megan was already in a study in the wing opposite then one that held the dance studio, taking down the address Lynn gave her. "Alright, got it. They will hopefully be there within half an hour." She replied before hanging up. She glanced at the clock on the phone and then made another call. About thirty seconds later.... Megan appeared inside Robert's office, now dressed in her Velocity costume, but without the mask or goggles in place yet. Her sudden entrance kicked up some loose papers, but she caught them in a blur of motion before returning them to their place and ending up sitting by Robert on his desk. "Soooo, something has come up." She began, a smile on her face. "An old friend called, needing my help with something. But, it sounds like something you might be able to offer some insights into as well." She added before explaining what little she knew thus far. "I just spoke with my mom and she is able to watch Lawrence for us, even though she understands it could be awhile."
  15. GM Now all awake, the Claremont students each went about preparing themselves for the day, changing into fresh clothes, repacking everything to be ready to be ready for when it was time to depart, etc. As several of the students began gathering out on the central part of the platform, several of Zandar's people arrived, bringing with them bowls of food for breakfast, as well as some other food, fruits and dried meats, to be packed and carried with the teens when they departed with the Jungle Lord. By the time the sun was just fully visible above the horizon, Lord Zandar and Kzara arrived, both looking ready to travel, neither looking at all bothered by the relatively early hour. "Good morning my friends!" Zandar said in his booming voice, a cheerful smile on his face. "I hope you are all rested, so much to see today." And with that, the Jungle Lord and his daughter lead the group of teenagers though the treetop village, many of the villagers gathered along the way to wave farewell, and off onto one of the trails of suspended bridges and walkways that Gene had helped repair yesterday afternoon. The traveled along this pathway for a little over three quarters of an hour, having to stop briefly at one point and lie down at a signal from Zandar before a massive two legged dinosaur stalked its way a couple dozen feet below. After the danger had passed, the group was back up and continuing onward, eventually reaching the edge of the massive jungle. The group was standing on a platform on a tree that stood along the jungle's edge, looking out at rolling grassland, dotted here and there with small groups of trees and bushes, that sloped down into a vast valley, through which a narrow river snaked its way, flowing from a series of hills and cliffs, far in the distance. Various herds of large, plant eating dinosaurs could be seen along the banks of the river, with some making their way into other parts of the grasslands as well. "Come my friends!" Zandar stated, as he grabbed a nearby vine and stepped off the platform, swinging out as he had the day before when the group had crossed the chasm. Only this time, there was not platform on the opposite side to swing to, and instead, the Jungle Lord swung down towards the ground below, releasing the vine as he came within a dozen feet of the ground and landing gracefully in a crouch. Standing back upright, he looked back up at the platform and the Claremont students, waiting for them to join him.
  16. Megan had listened closely to Lynn and the Duke as they gave a bit more explanation about what the situation was. "It will be just like old times." Megan replied to Lynn's last comment, her tone both happy and wistful at the same time. "Well, curses are not exactly her specialty, but, she has had a number of recent experiences involving time and time control/travel. Also, not to question the Duke's scientific expertise, but she and I happen to know someone that also had those recent experiences, and thus has become a bit of an expert in temporal physics. If you just want our speedy friend, she should be able to be there in a minute or so. If you want both, then it will take a bit longer as they will need to arrange a few things."
  17. Graft After speaking briefly with Captain Fletcher, Tyrone had made his way up the gangplank and onto the ship, where he had met First officer Stevens, who provided him with a name tag, checked if he had any special dietary requirements and offered him a glass of champagne or other refreshment. Once past the first officer, Tyrone had a chance to scan the main deck of the yacht, noting the tables that had been set up, which were not becoming rather crowded. Easy to spot among the people starting to gather was the tall man the appeared made of metal. Also nearby was a woman in her early forties, with short black hair with a touch of grey that was wearing a red dress. She was carrying a cane and walking with a slight limp. Beside her was a stunning young blonde woman in her early twenties, who was wearing a red bikini which shifted to a dark green as the pair were talking to an African American man who was in his late twenties. Then there was the man in the red and chrome power armor, standing beside one of the railings of the deck… Asad After exchanging greetings with Riff and Captain Fletcher, Amir had left the musician/superhero with the Topples and continued on up the gang plank, seeming to almost glide into the midst of the party. He was only briefly held up by Ms. Stevens, receiving a glass of champagne before he continued on. It only took a moment for him to spot the Smiths, who were talking a large man who appeared to be made of metal. Knute smith turned to regard Amir with a warm smile, as did his wife. "Amir, good to see you." He replied shaking Amir's hand. "It is almost ready for speed trials. You will need to come down to the track in the next couple of weeks if you want to take a turn behind the wheel." "So wonderful to see you Amir." Karen Smith replied as she kept her warm and welcoming smile in place at Amir began his flirting. "Really Amir, it will take more than charming flattery to steal me away." Knute was smiling as well at Amir's flirting, indicating the large metal man nearby. "Amir, if I may introduce one of the award recipients, one of the newer heroes in town, Titan." Riff Riff made his way up the gangplank along with the Topples and Captain Fletcher, the four being met at the top by the young brunette with the clipboard who was wearing a uniform similar to the one the captain was wearing. As Captain Fletcher excused himself to head off to the bridge to get things ready for them to be underway, the woman introduced herself as First Officer Valerie Stevens to Riff. "We were not sure what name you would prefer, your real name or Riff, so we prepared name tags for both." She said, offering Riff the name tag he preferred. After check that he had no special dietary needs or requirements, she offered a glass of champagne from a tray that was brought over by uniformed wait staff. Andy Topple took a pair of the thin champagne glasses, handing one to his wife and then offering the other to Riff as he then took one for himself. "No need to be bashful about things, this is a celebration!" He stated as he offered the glass of champagne.
  18. Yeah, I think you probably do have a free character slot from an award. Just wanted to be sure. As for the Teleport Beacon, I see you have removed it? Also, you should look again at the rules re: Spacesuits. You do not have to spend any points for the base model, which comes free with spacecraft.
  19. Is she for the new PL 10 slot we announced? If so, she cannot be submitted until the First of September. Also, what are you expecting the Teleport Beacon to do (for the spaceship and for the character?)
  20. Velocity had been considering Dr. Baskhaar's words and wondering just how good this barrier might be at keeping things out. While she was able to vibrate her molecules and pass through most things, it was still possible it might work against her, not something she wanted to try out at high speeds. She was thus a bit surprised as the woman flew up in front of them and almost jerked at the controls of the spaceplane to try to avoid her as she flew forward and hit the front of the vehicle with her mace. But the speedster was able to see that there was not much force behind the swing before most have even fully registered she had closed. So she simply smirked slightly as she gave a nod to the woman outside. "Well, that was friendly, a simple hand signal likely would have been good enough." She then began slowing the plane down a bit more as she followed the woman down, preparing for a VTOL landing where directed to touch down.
  21. Synapse looked at the emaciated man lying before her, her eyes somewhat cold as she considered him, and his words. "Well, I tend to leave others' minds to themselves, unless they've been naughty and are in need of a time out. Like Blonsky and the others caught up in the little scheme you and the Doctor have unleashed on the games." When the Sleeper held out his hand, with a fair amount of effort, offering to show her his plans, the Englishwoman was hesitant for a moment. Opening herself to another mentalist could be fraught with risk, but at the same time, getting an idea of what the Sleeper might be planning was a hard opportunity to pass up. "Funny how the lofty goal of something for the glory of mankind is so often tainted by one's own world view." She commented, reaching out to take the frail hand, while readying herself to mentally fight back against the Sleeper if needed.
  22. And our normal chat is back up!
  23. Well Cape, Robert's involvement kind of depends on what Megan learns about what the Duke wants (either now, or when she actually goes to meet him)
  24. Well, looking at your latest edit...everything seems fine now (least in terms of the attack bonus for various attacks), I thought you were talking about dropping the Accurate feat that you had at the array level. Be sure to note, one rank of Affects Insubstantial on the Blast means only 5 ranks effect the target.
  25. Hmm, we saw things you were typing KD.
