Hey Heritage! I will likely want to show up with Velocity at some point, just not sure I will have any time until Sunday!

"Yes, I know the type." Dee replied as the Russian sergeant began talking about Doctor Zero. While Headcase certainly did not fit the super-strong, perfect physical specimen aspect of the mold, he certainly fit the other characteristics perfectly. The young Englishwoman had been about to mention the Sleeper as well, but when Erick choose to leave him out for the moment, she went along with that decision. "Blonsky told us he has met the Doctor before." She added in partial answer to K's question. "But that does not necessarily mean he knows where the Doctor is. With Blonsky out of the picture, the Doctor might have to become more directly involved if he wants his plans for Olympic glory to come about."

Giang had felt the strange barnacles that covered parts of the engine room struggling against her power, some deeper force restarting the flow of time in the compartment. And then Wave Eye struck out against whatever it was the Captain Blood was planning, and the engine room exploded into chaos. The Asian teen was luckily quick on her feet, her years of martial arts training serving her well as she rolled to one side, avoiding the worst of the explosion, her watery forcefield handling what little effects managed to brush against her. The smoke and gloom in the compartment did not hamper her ability to detect the massive amounts of water that were beginning to pour into the ship through the pierced hull, or the water gathered around the still intact portions of the hull. Focusing on the water around the gap in the hull, Giang reached out with her power, causing the water to take a solid form, coving the hole and repelling the ocean water that was trying to rush into the ship. For the moment, her solid water patchwork job held, keeping the ship from taking on any more water. "Do not be so quick to assume that anyone will be going down with the ship so easily." She called out to the ghost pirate as she maintained the temporary repair.

Tsunami's power check is a 32.

Tsunami will use her Create Object power to patch up the hole in the ship.

"Not so fast." Synapse stated, grabbing Strings by the arm and stopping him from continuing forward. "If Lucy Diamond is in there, the last thing we want is more people around to be affected by her powers. I'd like to keep the chaos to a minimum if possible." The young heroine stated before glancing at Sergeant Bowen. "Sergeant, please keep everyone back from the ruins. I am going to go in and see if there is anyone in there." With that, Synapse started forward toward the ruins, the red psychic energy of her forcefiled leaping up around her.

Velocity had been listening when her communicator interrupted with a warning from Captain Thunder. "Thanks Cap, I am on it." The speedster replied quickly as she glanced over at the other two heroes. "Edge, Hologram, we have likely incoming. The Lighthouse has picked up a massive energy discharge from Gorilla island of all places, what appears to be a Lor matter teleporter, and whatever its sending is headed our way." She states, her body starting to gear up to start moving. "I am going to get everyone moving toward the main house and the shelter there, just in case. Be right back." With that, the speedster was gone in a blur of yellow, zipping around to the various volunteers on the grounds and getting them running towards the main house at their best speeds...

Giang waited as Gene, Will and Sekhmet all began their attacks on the giant mecha, causing damage along the exterior armor. The Asian teen noted that Set was ready, lightning crackling across his fingertips. "Then let us finish this." She stated simply, taking a step forward as her hands thrust forward, palms outward. The water that had begun building up around her hands shot forward, the volume increasing exponentially as it shot forward in twisting jets that glittered in sunlight before slamming into the mecha with tremendous force. As the water slammed into the mecha, Giang directed the stream of water up into the gaps in the mecha's armor, causing the water to flow into the internal systems, ready to conduct Set's lightning...

This is a little late (as you have already done so), but you know I am always down with overriding things for the purpose of plot. Not like it really matters, everyone else has pretty much ignored what Time Stop does anyway (ie the damage to the ship caused by us). Anyway, there is more than one way to stop the ship from sinking. Tsunami's Reflex save: 15, no don't like that, so I will use a HP to reroll: much better with a 25. She has evasion, so avoids the effects completely. You ready for us to roll initiative so we can act?

So, Edvyn, sorry for the continued delay in this, some RL things distracted me. The Refs have talked about the issue I raised with the Emotion Control alt powers and reached the following decisions. First, we all feel that this is an incorrect use of the No Saving Throw extra. However, there are a couple of ways you can choose to try to accomplish what you want.: 1) Is to drop both the No Saving Throw extra AND the Ranged flaw. This has a net-zero effect on the power (but see below), as you are dropping both an extra and a flaw at the same time. It also accomplishes just what you were trying to do, as the power goes back to being perception ranged, with a area burst (40' radius area as currently built). Per the rules, when you have a power that is perception ranged and burst area, the targets in the burst area do NOT get a reflex save to avoid the burst, but still get the appropriate save to avoid the effec t (in this case a Will save). 2) Is to drop the No Saving Throw extra, but keep the Ranged flaw. You then make the power a targeted area attack (instead of burst area). This requires you to make an attack roll to hit targets in the area, but they cannot otherwise avoid the area. Not quite what you were going for, but still close. You can use some of the points freed up by dropping the extra to get some ranks of accurate for the power. Second, another issue that has come up for the refs is the use of two Emotion Control alternate slots, each limited to a different emotion. While we can understand thematically why these would be the only two emotions that your character can use, it is felt that having the two alternate slots is still moving away from the limitations really being limitations. Again, there are a couple of choices on what you can do to address this: 1) Would be to just choose one of the emotions and drop the other. 2) The other is to drop the flaw and instead have a -1 pp drawback for only being able to use the two emotions you list. This of course will change the cost per rank of the power, as you only get a 1 pp reduction, instead of 1 pp per rank. So, let me know what way you want to go (and when you have fixed the other issues I pointed out).

Hello Edvyn! Sorry about the delay on this, I was off on vacation till recnetly. I see a few things that need to be tidied up. First, you have your tradeoffs wrong, they are only -2/+2 respectively. Second, you have the total for your abilities wrong at 22, when it should be 28. (You have it correct at the bottom of the sheet, and thus have actually accounted for it correctly) On your combat block, instead of listing +8 Magic, you might want to list the specific attacks that have the accurate feat, as not all your Magic array has this (or even needs an attack bonus) For the two Emotional Control alts in the Magic array, I am not sure you can use the No Saving Throw extra to overcome the Reflex save to lessen the area effect. (I will talk with the other refs on that). One option to prevent people from avoiding/lessening these area effects would be to make them targeted area effects, and pick up a rank or so of the accurate feat, depending on how things worked out. I would point out that your Teleport 9 is somewhat of limited utility right now. You do not have the Accurate extra on it, so you can only teleport to places you can either accurately perceive, or know very well. (So really you are only going to be able to teleport long distances to places you know very well). In your Protection Array, please list the Invisibility as Concealment 4 (All visual senses). Also, you have to select a reasonably common effect that can still effect you even when Insubstantial. Also, between having some effect that can still harm you while Insubstantial, and people having Affects Insubstantial on attacks, not having any toughness save when using that alt slot could be very dangerous (just so you know).

Giang gave a slight grunt at Set's responses, noting the bank vault that the cultists were apparently after. Hearing Gene call out about needing to try to work together to try to bring down the mecha. The Asian teen had to agree with his assessment, though they were damaging the machine, it was also self repairing. Eventually they might well bring it down, but how much damage might be cause in trying to do so? Far better to try to combined their efforts and bring this to a close more quickly. "A good plan TNTeen. I am ready!" She called out as she pulled her hands toward her side, preparing to launch another blast of water at the mecha. Water began swirling around the Asian teen's hands as she did so, her gaze fixed on the massive mecha.

Well, need to remember that with combined attack Giz, the lower attacks each add +2 to the DC of the highest damage attack (which is likely to be mine). Tsunami will Power Attack, -2 attack/+2 damage, likely hitting with a 25. That is a DC 27 attack.

The police had actually made a rather quick response time. Still slow from Velocity's perspective, but better than average for the police. The speedster quickly got them pointed in the right direction of what was going on. She was also an old hand at dealing with them by now, giving her statement and handing over evidence she had collected. "Oh, no worries, I would probably just be in the way anyway." Velocity replied as the police wanted her clear of the crime scene as they went about their work. "Besides, I have somewhere else to be, have a tip on where they were headed." She noted with a grin as she handed over the piece of paper with the address. "I'll see you all when you catch up there." And with that, she was gone in a yellow blur.

Dee glanced over at the sound of the approaching police, a bit annoyed that they had not been able to get clear of the scene before they arrived. But then, she supposed they were bound to have shown up at some point, she just wondered what had taken them so long. So much for avoiding the local authorities. She mentally noted with Erick. At least the police sergeant that had been with Erick was there and able to help smooth things over. "He certainly was not working alone." Dee replied to the Sergeant’s questions about Blonsky.

"I'll be ready if needed." Velocity softly spoke back to Hologram as the older heroine moved over to retrieve the key for the ape’s cage and unlocked it. The speedster tensed ever so slightly as the ape exited the cage, but became a bit more relaxed as it slowly and deliberately moved towards the exit and then stopped once it was out in the sunlight, seeming to enjoy the experience for a few moments. She was surprised to see the tears in the creature’s eyes when it looked back at her and the other heroes. Once again she felt a surge of sympathy for the large ape, though still remained ready just in case it became hostile. "Is it 'saying' anything else?" She asked Hologram.

"Whatever Blood's plans are, he will not be causing further damage to the ship, not as long as my power keeps the ship and the water around it frozen in time." Tsunami replied in response to comments from the worried crew members about what the ghost pirate might be planning. "We will continue our pursuit. Meanwhile, it would be best for you to gather all the passengers together and get them to safe locations where you can easily move them to life boats should I need to release the ship." With that, the Asian teen started toward the direction the crew indicated toward the engine room. When they reached the sealed door, she released the metal door from her powers, to allow one of the others to force their way in.

That sounds fine, easiest way to keep us moving forward.

Well, part of the reason for using the Time Stop was to protect the ship from damage (we cannot harm it, but nether can Blood). And, if it was already taking on water, the water around the ship and the hole(s) would be Time Stopped as well, stopping anymore flooding.

Dee let out a sigh of relief when she had finally managed to bring down the two brainwashed athletes. They had certainly proven resilient. But at least Edward was safe, for now anyway. With Blonsky under control for the moment, there would hopefully be no more immediate threats to her brother. But how long would that stop this Sleeper? Yeah, he can be stubborn about things when he wants to be. A lot like our father in that. Dee replied, her mental voice cold with the last comment. "As for this lot. I say just leave them for the authorities. Would rather not cross paths with them until I absolutely need to."

Giang Trang had been happy to accept Thaelia's invitation to join her in Neptune City for a celebration of her graduation from Claremont Academy, the Asian teen had only wished that her roommate had kept the event to something less lavish and smaller in scale. Of course, she should have known that was a vain hope where her now former roommate was concerned. But regardless of whether this was quite the event she would have wanted or not, Giang was not about to let Thaelia's efforts seem unappreciated. So she serenely made her way about the room, chatting with several of the Atlanteans present, her proficiency in their language greatly improved over the last year thanks to Thaelia. The Asian teen had to admit that party provided a good chance for her to forget for awhile some of her concerns about leaving the relative safety of Claremont and go out to where it could be easier for her father or his rivals to find her.

Cape, again I would point out that the whole point of Time Stop is that things that are effected by the power cannot be harmed (ie we could not punch through floors or walls or doors, but neither could Blood or any of his crew cause any damage to the ship either).

Velocity remained calm as Edge appeared, thankful that the UNISON agent remained calm himself and waited to see what was going to happen. She was not encouraged when the ape remained angry despite his attempts to sooth it. "Be careful Edge, it does not look any happier." She said. Then Hologram arrived with her camera man close behind. "I was not planning on hurt…" the speedster had begun to answer when the other heroine mentioned that that ape was telepathic and communicating with her. "From what I have read, he has every reason to be angry." She replied, staying a short distance away, hoping Hologram would be able to get through to the ape and clam it.
