  1. Okay, Tsunami will go for a full Power Attack (-5 atk/+5 dam), she gets a 14 on her attack roll. That is a DC 31 toughness save (and a +18 attack for purposes of any knockback).
  2. Happy Birthday Doc!!! :toot:
  3. Tsunami just makes her toughness save with a 27.
  4. GM The afternoon past relatively quickly as the various Claremont teens explored different parts of the treetop village. Gene spent part of the time helping the teenager he met braid ropes and then latter accompanied him and some other locals as they went and used those new ropes to repair some of the walkways and rope bridges in the jungle near the village. Juno had not been watching the girls practice their dance for too long before they and gestured for her to join them and they began to teach the agile teen the steps for the dance. During her exploration of the village, Cho had come across a lower platform where villagers were bringing up food stores collected by the hunters and farmers in the village, and lent her strength to speeding up the task. As the day began to fade, the teens each had a chance to return to the platform where their huts were located to rest some and change if they wished, before it was time for the welcoming feast. The feast was held on a large platform toward the center of the village, several wooden tables set out end to end to form one long table. Torches had been set up around the platform to counter the darkening sky, basking the area in a warm glow of light. As the Claremont students arrived, they were greeted by Zandar, along with his wife, Korzeel, who greeted them warmly. During the feast, the teens were seated toward the end of the table the Jungle Lord and his wife sat at, near each other, but slightly spaced with members of the village among them. The feast included large wooden platters of various cooked meats, prepared with rare spices, as well as an assortment of fruits and vegetables, some familiar to the teenagers, others strange and exotic.
  5. "Well, I am not certain this qualifies as 'cutting loose," Giang replied to Sam with a small smile, "but I would be more than happy for the company and pyrotechnic assistance." After storing their things, the two teenagers followed along with Kzara and the younger children, the group eventually ending up on a lower platform where there were a number of large water storage containers set up as part of a rain collection system. Giang sat down cross-legged off to one side, her back perfectly straight as she took a breath and then focused on some of the water in one of the containers. With a few gestures, she guided several thousand pounds of water out into the air, where it soon formed a large, flat, smooth surface that hovered in the air in front of the group of children. Another gesture and mountains and trees made from water rose up from the smooth surface, creating a watery landscape that soon included a human figure that was taller than any of the mountains. With Kzara translating, Giang began to tell the story of Kua Fu, a giant who one day decided to try to catch the sun, the water figure moving across the landscape, pursuing a fiery orb provided by Sam, but was never quite able to reach his goal. As the scenery for the story of Kua Fu melded back into the rest of the pool of water Giang had formed, the Asian teen next told the story of Long Mu, a Chinese woman who found a strange white stone one day along the banks of the Xi river. The stone turned out to be an egg that hatched five baby dragons that she raised, and soon there were watery dragons flying through the air around the children, as they used the powers to control weather to aide Long Mu's village in times of draught. Giang finished her water display, with a telling of a few of the adventures of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, the watery figure of the Monkey King jumping and running across the landscapes she made from the pool as he tricked and battled an array of foes.
  6. Dee gets a 32 on her Disable Device check.
  7. "Well, I would have been trying to pluck the secrets from his mind, but have been a bit too busy with other things at the moment." Dee stated as she walked over toward the mine. "Also, keep an eye out for those muscle bound athletes. I left them behind further down the hill, but at some point they will get back up here." With that the Englishwoman knelt down and began to examine the munition, her mind drifting back to a rather recent incident where she had disarmed another planted explosive during a trip to an alternate dimension. As she focused and set to work, she let her hold on Blonsky slip away.
  8. Well, once Foreshadow indicates he is ready to deal with Blonsky, Dee will drop her mind control on him and move over and disarm the mine.
  9. Giang watched as first Temperance and then Wave-Eye smashed the free barnacle golems, freeing the passengers trapped inside, although clearly the passengers were not better off from being freed. At Thaelia's comments the Asian teen shook her head slightly. "Not without freeing all our enemies as well." She replied initially. "However, we seem to have little choice, as we need to stabilize these two passengers condition." She then added, as she began to focus herself for what she had to do. "Be ready, I am going to release my hold on time, and then reestablish it, this time leaving the crew members and other passengers free to move to safety and help these other two." With that, Giang released the hold on time that she had already established, before once again swinging her arms out and bringing them together in front of her as ripples of time washed outward, again freezing much of what was going on around the group, but this time leaving more free than previously, intended or not...
  10. Dee noted the location of the mine before focusing back on Erick. Knowing she was not likely able to keep her hold on Blonsky while trying to disarm the mine, she needed Erick back awake. Moving over next to the unconscious hero, Dee touched his forehead with one gloved hand, focusing on the mental pathways of his mind, trying to jolt him back to consciousness. The psychic energy she channeled into Erick's mind worked, and his eyes fluttered open. "Hey handsome." She said with a smile as she stood back up. "I need you to keep Blonsky behaving, as I am going to have to release my hold on him while I disarm this mine." She then added, as her red glowing forcefield came back in place.
  11. As discussed in chat, Dee is going to stunt a power off her power reserve: Healing 5 (Extra: Action (Standard); Flaws: Limited to others, limited to recovery from unconsciousness) to jolt Foreshadow back awake. She just makes her Concentration roll to keep Mind Control on Blonsky when using her standard action for this (with a 20). For now she will take the fatigue. Also, she drops the stunted flight and activates her forcefield once more.
  12. Dee heard another rattle of gunfire as she began to fly herself and Blonsky back toward where the mine had been placed, but soon they left the two brainwashed athletes behind them, at least for the moment. She managed to maintain her control over the Russian coach, at least for the moment. The Englishwoman was a bit shocked when she saw Erick lying in the snow, but after a quick check to ensure there was still brainwave activity from him, she decided to focus for the moment on dealing with the mine. Where is the mine? She mentally asked Blonsky, as she prepared herself for disarming the device.
  13. Okay, Synapse's action will be a move action to move her and Blonsky 250' back toward where the mine was, and a standard action to maintain the mind control.
  14. As the snowmobile started to run out of gas due to the damage inflicted earlier, Dee quickly looked for a safe place to try to steer the vehicle off the luge and crash it safely. As she did, she struggled to keep her mental control over Blonsky, managing to keep a firm grip on the mind of the former KGB agent. Spotting a good place to ditch the snowmobile more or less safely, Dee dropped the telekinetic forcefield that surrounded her, instead pushing the power as she had never done before. At the last moment, as the snowmobile headed to where it would launch off the luge course, Dee rolled off the back and towards Blonsky and the athlete on the luge. As she did, she grasped both herself and Blonsky with her telekinesis, lifting each of them up into the air in the glowing red power. In seconds, they were close to two hundred feet up in the air.
  15. Okay, as discussed in chat, Synapse is burning some of those accumulated Hero Points to do some awesome stuff. First, a drive roll for her to steer the now gasless snowmobile off the luge to somewhere safe for it to crash, she gets a 23. A concentration roll to keep the mind control up, a 17, will have to use another HP to reroll that, 20, but with the +10 because it is below 10, tha tis actually a 30, so no problem there. Stunting Flight 2 (Extras: Area, Selective) linked to Super Strength 2 (limited: only lifting capacity) of her Forcefield (which has 10pp). Surging for a third movement action to fly her and Blonsky up 170' into the air (which should make them hard targets to be shot at as that is three range increments for an assault rifle). So, all said and done, that will be 3 HP spent by the end of the round.

    Go-Time(IC)

Velocity watched the reactions of the two occupants of the vehicle. While she did not completely believe the driver's story, he at least appeared willing to cooperate now that he was caught. The man with the gun however... "Alright, get out and get on the ground while I sort this out then." She called out to the driver as her gaze fixed on the gunman (though her goggles continued to bring in images from all around her). "This is your last chance. Put the gun down and get out with your hands on your head or I will get you out after your unconscious." She called out to the gunman, one hand pulling out a handful of steel ball bearings from a belt pouch.
  17. Well, not ready to drop out of combat just yet, especially as we have dying passengers. Tsunami will drop her time stop, and reuse the stunted power (she should be fatigued by the way), this time excluding all the passengers/ship's crew as well as the other heroes.
  18. Dee had veered to one side when Blonsky had aimed his pistol back and fired off a series of shots, causing them all to go wide. The snowmobile continued to hurtle down the luge course, following after the Russian coach and the hijacked athlete. If not for the seriousness of the situation, the young Englishwoman would likely be having the time of her life right now. But of course, Blonsky and his superiors were deadly serious with their ambitions for Russian domination of these games. So, Dee had to remain focused on stopping them. Reaching out with her mental powers, she found Blonsky's mind, forcing her way in past his rather formidable will. Once she had seized control, she sent him a telepathic command. Drop the pistol.
  19. Synapse once again just makes the drive roll with a 16. Makes her concentration roll with a 23. She will try to use mind control on Blonsky, getting a 30 for her Power check.
  20. Dee heard the gunfire echo from up above on the slope, though thankfully the shots missed Erick. While she took a moment to glance back up hill, Blonsky had moved to commandeer a luge and start off down the track. The Englishwoman smirked slightly as she revved the engine of the snowmobile before glancing back up the hill. Another red blast of psychic energy streaked through the air, once again finding the mind of the man she had targeted three times before. Once again he was clearly affected by the attack, but he was still on his feet. But Dee had little time to worry about that right now, as she turned back to the luge and started off at near full speed. A moment later she had jumped over an edge along the luge track and landed the snowmobile on the track, quickly righting it once more and speeding down after Blonsky.
  21. Synapse easily keeps her forcefield up with a 24 for a concentration roll.
  22. Okay, Synapse will mind blast the same gunman once again (another DC 23 Will save, but he is a -3 now!) Then she is heading down the luge on the snowmobile, just making the roll with a 16 for her drive roll.
  23. Well, Foreshadow has Elusive Target, which means his Defense would be higher as he was in melee with the other.
  24. Who was the second one shooting at?
  25. Well, time stopped is time stopped. While "technically" it is a paralyze, it is also much more, as those that are time stopped cannot be effected by those that are not in anyway.
