recruitment Various plots that have been sitting in the back of my mind.

Lots of great ideas HGM! So, a couple of my characters might work for some of these: Shark Week: Terror Beneath Tsunami is a possible candidate (though she has reason to avoid Asia). Velocity maybe as well? What the Kraken Released This certainly seems like something Tsunami could be involved in, as she has visited Atlantis before (and I recently picked up Atlantean as a language for her based on her having Glamazon as a roommate). First Contact Velocity maybe, particularly if fellow Freedom League Gabe is involved. Man vs Nature: Here Comes the Boom Again, sounds like something Velocity could help with. Tsunami possibly as well. -
"Someone up to no good." Velocity replied quickly to one of the bystanders as the car began speeding away. "But I am going to find out exactly." The speedster added, quickly handing off the cat. "Everyone, please remain calm and do not leave the area. The police are likely going to need statements once I stop these gunmen." With that, the speedster was off in a blur of yellow, easily weaving through some oncoming traffic to catch up with the car speeding away. With some bullets already in one hand, the speedster sent them flying at the car's ties at supersonic speed, small *CRACKS* echoing down the street as the projectiles broke the sound barrier. Velocity's accuracy was perfect, and bullets hit the tires with tremendous force, bursting the ties and sending the car kidding to a halt. The yellow clad speedster skidded to a halt in front of the car, peering inside at the occupants. "So, you can do this the hard way, and likely need medical attention. Or you can choose the easy way." She called out.

With Will and Gene acknowledging her directions, Giang began preparing to execute her part. After noting the training and deployment of the gunmen, she focused on the large mech as her arms came up to her side, her elbows bent. Taking a step forward with her left foot, her hands shot out in front of her, coming together, her palms outward and fingers splayed out. Three twisting coils of water sprung forth, streaking across the intervening space in a moment, striking the mech dead center with tremendous power. But despite the crushing power of the watery blast, the mech withstood the torrent with seemingly little ill effect. Giang frowned slightly as she saw her target shrug off the powerful blast, a slight concern starting to creep in about whether she and the other Claremonters had been pulled into something over their heads.

Okay, Tsunami will fire a water blast at the Cobra Mech. The attack is precise and has +2 knockback. So, she gets a 31 on her attack roll, rolling a natural 20. The damage DC is 26 +5 for a critical = 31.

Tsunami gets a 22 for initiative. I'll try a Kn: Tactics as well, getting a 19

Seeing Blonsky slide to a stop, Dee turned her snowmobile into a sudden stop, skidding to a halt with a spray of snow. She glanced back up the hill where Erick was now in melee with one of the brainwashed athletes. At least the man seemed to be out of rounds for his assault rifle, so she trusted for the moment that Foreshadow would be able to deal with him quickly. So she instead focused back on the other athlete, once again sending a mental blast at the man. As before, the psychic energy reached its target, but while it clearly effected the muscle bound Russian, it did not seem to have near the effect of the previous two mind blasts.

Okay, based on what you said in chat, there is pretty much no way they will be able to get away from Velocity. So, she will pursue and use her Rapid Fire array power. I will stick with her being fatigued from stunting the Deflect, so she is at -1 to attack and defense. She will use Defensive attack to drop one from her attack roll to put defense back to normal. She will also Power Attack, dropping another two points from her attack roll to increase her damage. So, her attack roll for Rapid Fire will be +15 after the above adjustments. She gets a 29 on her attack roll. Damage is +12 (DC 27) plus however many extra hits she gets due to the Autofire for the Rapid Fire. I believe if the defense is 19 or under, the final DC is 32.

Dee could not help but grin as Erick gracefully made the daring leap over to Blonsky's snowmobile and quickly proceeded slam the Russian's head on the steering wheel and send him tumbling to the snow between them. But that was short lived as more gunfire echoed from behind them and several bullets hit the back of her snowmobile, damaging it some. Keeping herself alongside the tumbling Blonsky, the Englishwoman looked back over her shoulder once more and sent another mental blast at the massive athlete she had brain blasted before. The red psychic energy streaked up the slope, once again finding the man's brain.

Okay, Dee is trying to maintain position near Blonsky, and she gets a 15 for her drive roll (which is after the -2 penalty). She will also send another mental blast at the already bruised athlete, so again a hit, DC 23 Will save.

Okay everyone, the teens have a chance to rest or explore or just interact some before the feast. I do not want to take too long with any of that, but if someone has anything they might want to do in particular, bring it up and we can figure it out. Then we can get moving on with things!
-
Well, Velocity's plan will be to pursue and try to blow out the tires (she can use the bullets she just caught for that). So, let me know if you want me to roll anything for trying to catch up with them, though per the Mastermind Manuel's chase rules, Velocity gets to use Acrobatics for the chase roll, and the driver will suffer a pretty steep penalty to his drive roll due to how much faster Velocity is. (As I recall, it is -2 per point of speed difference). Then I will make my attack roll and what not.

Dee listened to Sergeant Bowen as he gave her what little information they had. It felt a bit strange to the young Englishwoman to have someone like the Sergeant looking to her as an authority figure, and she was not exactly sure if she liked it. But whatever she felt about it, it was part of the deal she had made in order to try to find a way to help Susan. "I will kept that in mind." She replied quietly when Bowen mentioned she should be ready to deal with a stonewall and spitting, a point quickly demonstrated by the elder of the group. Right, time to see what I can learn, or at least draw much of their ire so Angus will have an easier time. Dee thought to herself as she faced Charlie. "We certainly intend to investigate this fully sir." She said aloud to the elder Traveller. "You seem very convinced that it was Lucy Diamond that caused this, what makes you so certain?"

Giang meet with jubilant welcome of Lord Zandar's subjects with a warm smile, returning the hugs and making polite bows. She had experienced such a welcome on her last trip, and an even more joyous farewell after her and the other’s efforts to disrupt the plans of the Serpent People. It also did not hurt that she recognized some faces from her last visit. She and the others then followed after the jungle lord as he led them through part of the suspended city, crossing over several walkways until they came to a smaller platform a short flight of stairs off one of the main ones. It was a bit more shaded by some of the overhanging branches, but still received some sunlight. In the center of the small platform was a small fire pit made of stone, though currently there was not fire there. There were a number of small huts on the platform, each looking large enough to accommodate at least two or three people. "Here you are my friends!" Zandar exclaimed as the group reached the small platform. "These huts are at your disposal. As I said, you have a few hours in which to rest or explore the village more. There are some of my people that speak English who can act as translators for you. I shall see you all later this evening." "Thank you again for your hospitality Lord Zandar." Giang said as she once again gave a small bow to the jungle lord before he flashed the group a warm smile and made his way back up the stairs. The Asian teen the loosened her pack as she glanced at the huts, but then she noticed Kazra was still there, along with a number of children from the village. "They have heard about the stories you told last year with the moving water. As have I." Kazra explained with a small shrug. "We were hoping to see that." Giang gave the younger girl a warm smile. "Alright, just let me store my things first."

Okay Rob, I have a couple small things. First, your Bluff, Diplomacy and Medicine skills do not account for your Cha and Wis bonuses (+2 for each). I do not see any Impervious bought for you protection, though you list it under your Toughness save.

Megan had been a bit busy, even at superspeed, when the car had started to roar down the street and the gunfire erupted. But she had spotted the gun just as it came out and fired, and could see the bullets as they sped toward the startled crowd. While many heroes with a slight bit of warning could intervene in some way, many would have a difficult time reacting after the gun had already fired. But not Velocity. It was not even a blink of an eye before she was down the tree on the ground once more, moving in a yellow blur as she sped to intercept each of the bullets rocketing toward a bystander, snatching them out of the air as she went. The sound of the gunfire was still echoing down the street when Velocity skidded to a halt to one side of the crowd, all the bullets clutched in one hand, and the cat held in the other.

Dee felt a slight bit of fear grip at her as the automatic weapon fire impacted nearby, with one bullet hitting somewhere on the snowmobile. But the young Englishwoman did not have time to worry about that, as she continued guiding the snowmobile down the course, pursuing after Blonsky. She took a few dangerous short cuts, but managed to keep the snowmobile from flipping, and managed to close the distance. As they went, she activated her forcefield, with red psychic energy forming around her. Glancing over at one of the Russian athletes, she sent a blast of red psychic energy right at his brain. The attack certainly seemed to succeed, as he seemed to stagger and seize up after the mental blast hit him. As they drew close to the luge right behind Blonsky, Dee glanced back over her shoulder at Erick. "Do you see where the mine was? You should probably go and deal with it, I can keep after Blonsky."

Tril, as I mentioned in chat last night, the Windup Punch slot has some problems. Elongation takes a move action, so you cannot have it with a Full Action Stun, or at least you would not be able to use the Elongation in the same round as you use the Stun. You could Elongate one round and then use the Stun in other rounds taking the full action.

Giang's features had become more serious at Thoughtspeed's answer to her question, but before she could make any statement regarding the wisdom of going out to face unknown danger, Set took matters into his own hands. As the group appeared in an alleyway somewhere else in the city, the Asian teen pulled her hand free from Set’s grip, but he was already moving toward the mouth of the alleyway. "Alright, looks like we are here one way or another." She said to the other two teens with her. "Let's follow, but be careful until we have a better idea of what we are facing." She said, a she moved after Set. However, they only had to reach the mouth of the alleyway for at least some of the opposition that Set had been seeking help to face came into view. "Thoughspeed, the gunmen are your first priority. TNTeen, you and I will focus on the power armor to try and free Set’s companion." Giang stated as she came to a halt next to Set, a thin swirling sheen of water starting to move across her.
