As she tried to slip into the driver's mind, Dee found her attempt rebuffed. Either the driver had some pretty good mental conditioning, or, the slight fuzziness she could still feel in her head from a couple of in-flight cocktails was hampering her. Either way, the young Englishwoman decided not to worry too much about it at the moment. If he was part of the security apparatus, well, again the Russians were welcome to watch all they wanted. <"Not all of us do, but there are some."> She replied casually to his comment about her speaking Russian. <"And thank you for the welcome."> Dee responded politely enough as he talked about how much she would enjoy the hotel. After all, she was not planning on spending a significant amount of time there. As they pulled up she looked out the window at the building. <"Yes, very lovely."> She responded. <"And I will be leaving a couple days after the closing ceremonies."> She then added, the same answer she had given at customs. Climbing out of the taxi, she waited while he brought her bags around and then paid in him rubbles, with a nice tip. Even if he had been there to watch her, he had gotten her here efficiently enough.

I'll blame the bad mind reading roll on a in-flight cocktail!

Dee had just been putting on her own sunglasses when she stopped to look out over the tops of them at the driver as he talked about a hotel he thought would be perfect for her. <"Really? Half the world is descending on your fair city and you believe I can just walk in and get a room at any hotel here, let alone one of the nicest ones, regardless of how much money I do, nor do not, have?"> She said in perfect Russian. It was a bit of an exaggeration of course, but the city was packed with tourists for the games, and open rooms were likely all but non-existent. The young woman was getting the feeling that the cabbie was acting rather odd, and could speak far better English than he claimed. She wondered if he was part of the Russian security forces as well and this time, her curiosity got the better of her. Slipping her glasses fully on, she focused on the back of his head and reached out with her mental powers, looking to scan his surface thoughts. While she did so, she continued to talk, letting herself smile slightly. <"Thought, it just so happens that I do have reservations at the Emerald Hotel, so all is well. And to answer your questions, no, I'm not American. English. The flight was not bad, shorter than many coming her to be sure. And yes, I am here to watch the games.">

Yeah, she thinks something is fishy with a 26 on that Sense Motive check. She is going to try to scan surface thoughts, but a pretty bad roll, only a 12 for her power check against his Will save. (Also, DC 20 notice check for him to even know she is doing so).

Sochi International Airport Dee Farrington made her way through the busy airport towards the exits that lead to the taxi and other transportation loading area. So far, her trip to the Winter Olympics was not going smoothly. Clearing customs had taken far longer than it should have, and the custom officials had very thin excuses. The young Englishwoman had been sorely tempted to read their minds to see what was up, but had resisted. Mainly she was determined to enjoy her trip to the Winter Olympics, and was willing to let a little customs hold up go. They were after all dealing with a large influx of people from all over the world. Dee was usually not one to capitalize on her social status and her father's position in the House of Lords. But as a something of a snowboard enthusiast and generally appreciative of a number of other Winter Olympic events, in this case she had been willing to get a few strings pulled to provide her some special access to some venues. Part of her was riled by some of the political issues that slightly clouded over the event, but as a former US skater had stated on some of the issues, the Olympics was really about the athletes and the hard work and sacrifice they all had made to get themselves to this point. She was almost to the exits when she spotted them, two suspicious looking Russian men in trench coats and dark sunglasses trying their best to look inconspicuous as they followed her. A slight frown came to Dee's face as she wondered if this was the real reason for the customs hold up, allowing some security officers to get into place to trail her. The young woman wondered why they felt the need to keep her under observation. Might it have to do with her father's position in the government? Or could the Russians somehow believe she was connected with the Ministry of Powers? Of course, with her dyed black hair with a couple of bright pink streaks mixed in, her many piercings (including her tongue) as well as maybe some knowledge of her activist activities since college, the Russians could well think she was here to join protests against the country's policies on homosexuality (which she was somewhat tempted to do). Sighing slightly, Dee decided that if they wanted to follow her around, they were more than welcome to. Hopefully they would be able to keep up. Stepping up to the curb outside, she flagged a taxi. After the driver had stored her bags in the back, she stopped just before climbing into the back to turn and face the two men that were now standing off to one side. She blew them a kiss and then climbed into the cab.

Hey Dasaka, sorry for not getting any comments up sooner. So, some crunch things... In Stats, you forgot the +2 bonus for Con and Wis. For Combat, it should be 12 +12, though you got the total right. I see 2 points of equipment bought, but no equipment listed. For your powers, please move the sub powers for each device under the device. There are also device and array tags, but I can help add those once the powers are listed under the devices. As for your complications, some of those seem a little hard to be really useful for a GM to make use of. In considering complications, you might want to take a look at thread written by Supercape.

I'm here! Synapse's Kn: Current Events roll (considered trained thanks to Eidetic Memory) is a 26. It goes to 30 if she gets the +4 Eidetic Memory can also give for remembering things.

Okay, sorry for not moving this forward, but the other thread has been slow with the combat, and I did not want to get us too far ahead while waiting for that one to catch up. I will be looking to post this weekend to move us forward some again

Round Seven (7 rounds till computer files begin to delete!) 29 Blue Jay (1 HP, Unharmed, Stunned) (+2 to next Fort check) 24 Blodeuwedd (1 HP, Unharmed) 17 Raven (Unharmed) 12 Crow (2 HP, Unharmed, Gappled Coat is suffering fatigue (-2 ranks to all powers until repaired)) 8 Warden (Unharmed) Blue Jay is still stunned, so Blode is up!
-
In his dark room, Warden watched as Crow escaped from the cable that was holding him and then proceeding to pinned against the wall with cables and knives. Though damaged, the cable was far from finished, but the trap master keyed another button before shifting his attention to another screen. "Ah, there you are. Back for more Raven?" He said over the loudspeakers, his voice echoing in the sewer tunnels and in the elevator shaft. In the elevator shaft, the hovering drones that had stunned Blue Jay flew down towards Raven. But the Freedom Leaguer was ready, and dodged the electrical arc that extended between the pair as the drones flew past and gained altitude once more to hover a short ways up the shaft. Down in the sewer tunnels, the trapped cable strained against the wires holding it, snapping them and pulling free. Just then a second cable snaked out, wrapping tightly around Crow again and delivering another electric shock. Once again the young cowl managed to maintain consciousness, but he was tightly held once more by the new cable, and the first one was now free to assist…

Giang gave a small nod as Georgia and Cho indicated they were ready to head to the staff restaurant before moving back into the hallway and waiting for the two join her and lock up their room. As the group started towards the stairs, the Asian teen pointed out the floor's lounge and small study hall. "There is also a larger lounge in the basement, with a range of entertainment options and seating." Giang added as they started downstairs. "Sometime after lunch we need to go down there so I can show you the entrance to the shelter that is located there."

The blond Battle Brother shook his head, regaining his focus. With a scowl, he climbed quickly back to his feet to look down at Crimson Tiger. "Okay then girly, have it your way. We'll deal with you now." With that, the large man swung a punch at the martial artist. At the last minute Crimson managed to twist with the hit, reducing the impact considerably. She could still feel it, but it was nothing she could not handle. If it had connected fully however... The second Battle Brother, turned towards Crimson almost as if pulled towards her, swinging a punch at her as well. But this time she was able to dodge the attack completely. Turning back towards Mess, the second Battle Brother addressed the short pugilists. "Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you." He then delivered a powerful jab to Mess' jaw, a loud *WHAM* echoing in the hallway. Mess took a half step back as his head was snapped to the side, but then he was able to straighten back up as the blond Battle Brother turned and launched a punch at him as well. Mess managed to get his left hand up to block that second attack, knocking it harmlessly aside.

Round Four 34 Foreshadow 6 Thug 3
-
As Foreshadow flipped through the air, the last remaining thug tried to track his movement, but was too slow to fully follow the agile vigilante. It was only by sheer luck that the man was not hit by Foreshadow's attacks, as the crime fighter uncharacteristically dropped a few disks and then threw the remaining ones well off their mark. The thug finished spinning around, swinging the hand holding the sub-machinegun in front of him and firing another burst. But once again he failed to fully adjust his aim, and the bullets all passed harmlessly over Foreshadow, who was down in a crouch after coming to a halt. As the flash of the weapon faded, the thug realized he had once again failed to hit the vigilante. He then turned on the spot and ran across the rooftop to a roof access door some thirty feet away, just reaching the door...

Well, after getting close, Thug 3 is getting worse again. He is then going to run for a roof access door, just reaching the door at the end of his move.

Giang frowned as she missed another attack on the serpent guards. They needed to finish off these guards and get after the serpent leader who had escaped with Subito in tow. Focusing one of the remaining guards, the Aisan teen took a deep breath, steadying herself. Then, her hands came up in front of her again and twisting coils of water shot forth. The powerful water blasts streaked through the air, slamming squarely into the serpent guard. The pressure of the blast knocked him off his feet and sent him sailing back to collide with another guard a short distance behind. Both were knocked flat, dazed and barely conscious.

Okay, removing the daze of Jack (HP to Crimson), he gets to his feet and attacks her, hitting with a 26, so DC 27 toughness save. Malcom makes his reactive attack on Crimson, missing horribly with a 11. Malcom then makes his normal attack on Mess, hitting with a 21. So DC 21 toughness save for Mess. Jack gets his reactive attack on Mess, missing with a 14.

Crimson Tiger's blow actually managed to knock the blond Battle Brother to the group, although just where he had been standing. With something of an opening created, one of the fighters who had followed her out of the waiting room leapt over the now prone Battle Brother, aiming a kick at the martial artist heroine as he went. But his execution was nowhere near as good as Crimson's, and she easily sidestepped the awkward attack. Diaz followed after Lucy, ready to make a break for it if he could. There was only one problem with her plan, the only exit he knew of was down the hall past the Battle Brothers and the two fighters grouped around Crimson and Freddy. So, the young man moved over near the fighter that Lucy had knocked out of the room, who was now back on his feet. The fighter started to get ready to face off with Diaz, but the young man delivered a swift right hook that knocked the fighter back into the wall and he collapsed to the ground unconscious. The second fighter that had chased after Crimson Tiger could not follow after her now in the crowded hallway, so he turned instead toward Freddy. He launched a quick series of jabs followed by a more powerful body blow, but Freddy easily deflected the jabs and saw the body blow coming a mile away and knocked it aside as well. Another fighter emerged from the room where Lucy had found Diaz, having recovered from Diaz’s hit on him earlier. Not wanting to face off with Lucy, the man rushed over to Diaz, ready to attack him when he had the chance.

Fighter 9 tries to attack Crimson, but misses with a 18. Diaz moves out into the hall and goes for a Power Attack on Fighter 10, -2 atk/+2 dam, getting a 27, another critical hit (so DC 26 toughness save). Fighter 10 gets a 5, so is out cold. Fighter 7 attacks Mess, but misses with a 14. Fighter 6 gets up and moves into the hall after Diaz.

Roo, you do not get crits on Skill checks, a 20 is just a 20.
