  1. Nice work KD. I did something a bit similar in a thread in the Ref Cave to get some discussion about possible threads/support some of the Refs could try to provide for the large batch of Claremont students we have/are getting. This is of course my estimate, so of course the particular players can chime in with corrections. My list has the age (or approximate age) and PL of each character: Seniors: Tsunami (18, PL 11) Crimson Tiger (18, PL 10) Glow (18, PL 10) Kit (should be closing on 18 as the character was submitted almost 2 years ago, PL 9) Maybe Seniors? (maybe Juniors?): Blodeuwedd (17 (18 in March), PL 10/11) Blue Jay (17 (also 18 in March), PL 10/12) Errant (at least 17 as character was submitted over a year ago, PL 7/8) Stronghold (at least 17 as character was submitted over a year ago, PL 7) Younger Students (new batch): Glamazon (17, PL 8) Thoughtspeed (16, PL 8/10) G-Force (16; PL 7) Cho Lee Page (16, PL 7) TNTteen (16, PL 7) plus Thunder King will be making a new 16 year old Claremont student once he earns his next award with Crimson (once December awards are posted) and KD will be making Raven III, who I think will also be in this age group.
  2. Round Eight 25 Revenant (unharmed, 2 HP) 25 Fighter 8 (bruised, dazed) 20 Fighter 10 (bruised 2, dazed) 19 Hound (unharmed) 18 Crimson Tiger (unharmed, 1 HP) 18 Fighter 11 14 Bloody Mess (bruised, grappled, 0 HP) 14 Fighter 3 (bruised, staggered) 13 Fighter 9 11 Diaz 9 Thug 5 8 Fighter 1 (Staggered, dazed) 7 Fighter 7 6 Jack (3 bruised) 6 Fighter 6 (bruised 3, dazed) 5 Malcom 4 Thug 7 Lucy is up. For the moment, all the fighters in the room with her and Diaz are down, though some will be recovering from being dazed this round.
  3. The blond haired Battle Brother glanced over at Crimson Tiger as she came rushing back out into the hallway. "So, still up are you?" He asked with a small smile. "We'll see to you in just a moment." Replied the Battle Brother holding Bloody Mess. And with that the blond Battle Brother delivered a powerful blow to Bloody Mess' stomach, as the other held the short pugilist immobile. A loud WHAM sounded from the blow that likely would have shattered the bones of a normal person. But Mess took the blow with little more than a grunt, otherwise seemingly unhurt by the attack. The grappling Battle Brother frowned slightly at the apparently ineffectual attack and continued to try to squeeze Mess into unconsciousness. But while the private eye was currently unable to get free from the powerful grip, he showed little sign of being hurt by the vice like pressure being exerted.
  4. Round One 26 Revenant (bruised, 1 HP) 19 Bloody Mess (unharmed, 1 HP) 6 Strand (unharmed) Lucy is up!
  5. With Harry remaining outside with the car, Lucy and Freddy (now a two foot tall animated liquid body of blood) made their way into the decrepit warehouse, trying their best to be stealthy. In his new form, Freddy was able to be relatively sneaky, moving into some of the many shadows that were present just inside the warehouse. Lucy on the other hand was not doing quite as good a job at being quiet or unobserved. The inside of the warehouse was no better than the outside. The lobby had cheap wallpaper peeling from the walls, there were bits of broken furniture everywhere, covered in a layer of dust and dirt. Past the lobby area was the large open space of the main warehouse, with a few stacks of old crates, but mostly appearing to be empty, at least as near as Lucy and Freddy could make out. No lights were on in the cavernous room, but some sunlight streamed in from a few skylights, providing some lighting in scattered areas, but casting much of the room in dark shadows. There was one source of non-natural light in the room, along the left side wall about halfway into the warehouse. The pair could make out what appeared to be some sort of office with the light on inside. But before either could start towards the lit office, or otherwise decide how they wanted to proceed, Lucy felt something hard strike her in the upper back with enough force to send a dull ache through her shoulders. Immediately following the surprise blow, something long and snakelike was trying to wrap around her and trap her. She managed to push herself free from the coiling embrace, realizing as she pushed free that she had almost been trapped by strands of long, brown hair...
  6. Hmm, I guess not (we'll just save those rolls for when Mess tries to get free next round!). So, that would be another DC 21 toughness save for Mess as Malcom squeezes.
  7. Also, I forgot about the drones. They go after Raven, but miss with a 20.
  8. The first grapple cable stains against the snare (DC 25 toughness save due to STR), the snare gets a 8 on its toughness save and the cable breaks free. A second grapple cable comes snaking out to try to grab Crow, getting a 24, which is good enough to grab Crow. So a DC 20 Fort save vs the shock and it gets a 38 on its grapple check!
  9. Okay, Jack is going to Power Attack Mess (-2 atk/+2 dam), getting a 19, which is good enough to hit the flat footed Mess. DC 22 Toughness save for Mess. Malcom is going to try to maintain his grapple, but only gets a 29!
  10. Even as Crimson Tiger moved out into the hallway to find Bloody Mess grappled by the African American Battle Brother, two of the fighters she had been facing followed quickly after her. Both launched attacks, but both were easy for the experienced martial artist to block as she tried to determine the best way to try and assist Bloody Mess. Inside the smaller room down the hallway, Diaz recovered from the hit he had taken and launched a powerful right hook at the last fighter in the room. The blow caught the man off guard, knocking him off his feet and sending him a good ten feet backward to land with a THUD on the hard cement floor. The fighter still seemed to be conscious, but was dazed for the moment. Diaz glanced over to Lucy, and whistled. "Damn your one tough chica. What now?"
  11. Okay, Fighter 9 pursues Crimson, but misses by a mile with a 12. Diaz will power attack Fighter 6 once again (-2 atk/+2 dam), getting a 27, which is a critical hit! So a DC 26 toughness save for Fighter 6, and he gets a 20, so he picks up another bruise and is dazed. Fighter 7 follows Crimson as well, and barely does any better with a 13.
  12. Okay, Stealth check vs your notice rolls. And a Notice check. So, the bad guy sees Lucy, but not Freddy, and neither of you see her at the moment. So, she gets a surprise action. The bad guy gets a 18 to hit, which would normally miss, but Lucy is flat footed. So DC 26 toughness save for Lucy. The bad guy also tries to initiate a grapple, getting a 32. Going to need initiative rolls now as well.
  13. The last remaining thug on the rooftop seemed a bit angered by the dark clad cowl's comments, and his weapon seemed to steady slightly as he once again took aim at Foreshadow. There was another rapid burst of automatic weapon fire, and Foreshadow had only just rolled to the side in time, just enough to throw off the man's aim. But he could hear the crack of the passing bullets, warning him that he had cut that particular dodge a bit close. The man let out a muttered curse as he backed a bit further away from the cowl. Of course, that he was likely not nearly far enough away.
  14. Clearly baiting the guy with the SMG was not a good idea, he got a 22 on his attack roll, but that is still a miss. Very close though. So, on to… Round Three 34 Foreshadow 6 Thug 3
  15. Happy Birthday Scuffles!
  16. Even as the anomaly moved towards her to attack, Velocity was moving so fast that she was already moving away by the time it reached where she had been, as it had failed to fully account for her movement. But she could only watch as it flew up into the air towards Hronos, who apparently had the Stopwatch now. The yellow clad speedster skid to a halt for a moment, unsure what she was going to do if they remained in the air. But the Hronos flew down and placed the Stopwatch inside his android body and cried out in pain. "Hronos!" Velocity cried out as the second T-Rex started charging towards him. In a flash, she was between him and the charging dinosaur, ready to dodge any attack from the massive creature to try to buy the android more time to recover from whatever happened to him.
  17. The Battle Brother gets a 25 on his Fort check.
  18. Yeah, the Battle Brother gets a 43.
  19. Velocity is going to run between Hronos and the T-Rex for the moment and use the Total Defense action.
  20. Okay, the cable is bound and helpless by the snare, and is damaged by the electrical carrier attack (injured) and won't be acting this turn as it is effectively dazed.
  21. Okay, we are out of combat now. Thunder, I'll say Mali saw the direction Giang headed off in, which generally was in the direction one of the mall cops had told her the robbery was taking place. She should be able to catch up with Giang in not too long. HGM, it should not be too hard for Thaelia to get to where she can see Mali and follow her.
  22. As the Legion facing Thaelia collapsed to the ground, she disappeared completely. Elsewhere in the mall, Giang came sprinting up to the entrance to the nearest jewelry store to find a pair of unconscious security guards lying outside. The Asian teen frowned as she glanced around, looking for a sign of where Legion and any of her other duplicates might have gone. A number of still frightened shoppers had started to come back into view, and at the sight of the teenager with a swirling sheen of water flowing around her, some backed off again, afraid she might be a supercriminal as well. But others realized she seemed to be looking for the identical costumed women that had been robbing the store. "They went that way." Yelled one of the bystanders, point off towards one of the mall exits. Giang gave the man a small nod of thanks and started off in the indicated direction.
  23. Mess is up! (and still grappled)
