Warden was still trying to see some sort of sign where Raven might have gone when he noted her entrance into the main lobby of the building. He did not need to glance at the screen showing him what was going on in the elevator shaft to have an idea what had happened there. "Clever girl." He commented as he saw the teenager with the bow hanging from a ledge, having cut the elevator’s cable and sending it crashing down below. His voice echoed in the elevator shaft, carried by some intercom system he had set up. "But you leave yourself a bit vulnerable." Pressing a couple of buttons, he then focused on another screen as a view of one of the nearby sewer tunnels popped into view, the thermal cameras having picked up the appearance of a young man who was currently keeping himself suspended in air on wires. Apparently wanting to avoid any pressure plates. But the trap master did not need to do anything about this new target, the automated systems there already springing into action. But he did key his microphone to broadcast down into the sewer tunnel. "Well hello there. Are you the one who sprung free Raven? I guess we will have to see just how good you are." Even as the echo of his voice began to fade, a thick metallic cable shoot forth from one of the walls, twisting and coiling as it came at Crow. The teen was unable to dodge the attack, as the mechanical arm wrapped around him, sending an electrical jolt through his body. Crow was able to take the shock, but then the cable constricted around him, pulling him off his wires and pinning his arms to his side with tremendous force. In the elevator shaft, Blue Jay heard a door open up above her. Glancing up, she saw a pair of small drones fly into the elevator shaft, an arch of electricity extending between them. The two drones dove down towards the archer, who was unable to avoid the electricity crackling between them given her precarious position. Blue Jay felt her muscles seize up as the electricity shocked her. Her vision went black for a moment, but she fought for consciousness, even as black spots formed before her eyes. Although she remained conscious, she was stunned, and her grip on the ledge slipped and she began to fall…

Dee Farrington listened rather impassively as Smith provided what little information the Ministry had about the incident in the channel tunnel. The young woman was dressed as Synapse, the identity she had taken on as a member of the Ministry backed Taskforce UK, better known as the Vanguard in the press. Despite what she had told Young Britannia when they had first met at the Ministry building, Dee had eventually allowed the patriotic heroine to talk her into a proper costume, though one far less flashy. Dee's Synapse costume was a full body suit of medium grey and purple with a mask that covered the upper part of her face. She was still far from comfortable in the costume, and rather doubted she ever would be. Glancing over at Dr. Rost, Dee could not help but smirk slightly. The theoretical physician was apparently very highly strung, which hopefully would not turn out to be a liability in investigating this disturbance. She then took the envelope that Smith offered her with a faint smile. "Always one for laughs, aren't you Smith." She stated before folding the envelope and slipping it into a belt pouch. Take a moment to glance at the tools she had gathered together, the Englishwoman glance over at Rost. Hopefully the woman would at least make for some interesting theoretical discussion on the way to Dover. "Well, shall we be off then?"

Thunder King pointed out that Solar Sentinel only had 7 posts, netting him 1 pp (not 7) and no Vignette was written for him either. That has been corrected. Thanks for pointing that out Thunder.

I think Synapse is less of the problem than Ulysses as far as what date this should take place. Synapse is currently only involved in the Vanguard thread (which takes place a few months ago). I should be able to be vague enough about things that might happen in that thread to have this more current. Having it take place in EV actually helps that issue a good bit, as what will happen in the Vanguard threads will matter very little over in EV.

GM[/g] The flying woman with the green in her costume glanced back toward where her sister had been knocked back, checking to make sure she was not seriously hurt. She then glanced back the currently gigantic form of Miss Grue. "We will see about that!" She shouted, before she flew back over towards her twin. Once Clover reached her sister, she grabbed ahold of one of her arms. As she did so, a yellow glowing sphere of energy formed around the pair, enclosing them both inside the protective bubble. Down on the ground in the yard beside the plant, the woman Ulysses had closed with to attack took a couple of steps backward. "Of course, do not take my word for it." She said as her hands extended out in front of her. "See for yourselves!" As the woman gestured upward with her hands, chunks of pavement, dirt, concrete and rock began tearing up from the space between her and the hole she and her companions had made in the side of the plant. The tons of rubble floated up into the air, creating a twenty foot by twenty foot hole that went down through a basement. Down some thirty feet was what appeared to be a natural cavern that had electrical lights strung up on the rough walls. At the south end of the cavern, furthest away from the edge of the water, was what appeared to be a drop further down into the ground. Lined up near the edge of the chasm were dozens of metal drums filled with steaming greenish liquid. A number of men in hazmat suits, had appeared to be working on securing forklifts and other equipment, looked up in surprise as the ceiling above them was torn away...

I actually have a 10 year old and an 8 year old, so I do know a thing or two about how they are sponges. But my 10 year old (the one who had the dinosaur phase) has forgotten a huge chunk of the dinosaur facts he memorized at 3 and 4 (and he is actually a TAG kid that tests in the 99% percentile in math and 98% percentile in reading). I can understand being a driven and dedicated individual (again can point to my 10 year old about that), but does that really translate into the Concentration skill?

Giang was able to hear most of the exchanges between the other super powered individuals present, giving her at least something of an idea of what might be going on. At the moment it appeared the Grue was one of the two trying to stop those that had been damaging the plant. But for the moment the Asian teen had other things to worry about, such as trying to douse the fires that had been started inside the plant before things got worse. Bringing her water spout down closer to the ground, Giang leapt gracefully to the ground. Once her feet were back on the ground, she directed the water over towards the hole in the side of the building. The water flowed through the air, splashing into the visible fires inside the plant. The hissing sound of evaporating water could be heard as more and more water splashed down onto the flames. But in a few moments, most of the flames were out, clouds of smoke rinsing up in their place, and the few remaining were considerably diminished. "Regardless of how justified you feel you are, I cannot allow you to continue to threaten innocents in this manner." The Asian teen stated towards the woman standing on the ground as well, currently engaged in melee with the man that appeared to be billowing steam.

Rav, The thing I wonder about is that he seems to have a LOT of skills, and at some high ranks, for a 16 year old. I understand that he may be focused on science (and is smarter than average), but he is already a skilled CSI investigator? And trained in disarming security systems and bombs? Also, how does 11 ranks of Concentration fit into that? Is he also a 16 year old Zen master?

Round Three 18 Tsunami (unharmed, fatigued, 2 HP) 11 Clover (unharmed) 9 Crimson (bruised, dazed) 9 Tundra (unharmed) 8 Ulysses (unharmed, 1HP) 7 Miss Grue (unharmed, 2 HP) Tusnami will move down towards the ground and hop off her water spout, then use the water to douse some of the fires that have started inside the plant.

GM Miss Grue's huge fist once again connected squarely with one of the two glowing young women flying in the air. This time the punch clearly hurt her, as she gave a small cry of pain and was sent flying backward, pulled from the grasp of her twin who's hand she had been holding, until she ended up some fifty feet away. Somehow she managed to stay in the air, though was clearly out of sorts and disoriented. The yellow glowing energy handcuffs the young woman in green had tried to wrap around Miss Grue's wrists flickered and then disappeared altogether.

Okay, Crimson gets a 24, so she is bruised and dazed. She also goes flying backward 50 feet, but manages to stay in the air.

"Well, aren't you just overflowing with optimism." Velocity commented as the time agent talked about whether or not she would be able to stop whatever was going on. She glanced over at Robert as he babbled about being excited over having a baby, but bit back a retort, as she recalled that he was not really thinking clearly. He did have a point, that though they had first met over four years ago, they had really only been together a little over a year, and even that was broken up by nearly a year of being apart. But having a child was certainly something they had not talked about while they had been dating at Cambridge. They had barely even talked much about what would happen once Megan had to return to Yale and the United States at the end school year. In the past several months after reuniting, the discussions about children had not been much more common, and had been tinged with the worries about Collapse. So Megan just gave Robert a small smile as she climbed up on the med-bed. "Yeah, you don't think?" She commented sarcastically as the time agent mentioned she might feel some discomfort, nausea and other effects.

Dee gave a small sigh of relief as she was able to make Nelson do what she wanted, and his men blindly followed his lead. "There, that is much better." She said out loud. Glancing over into the van, she looked at the two Ministry agents. "Why don't you two make yourselves useful and go secure this lot and their guns." She said much more quietly, as she maintained her control on Big Nelson. She wondered whether Young Britannia was alright, glancing up into the air for some trace of the patriotically costumed heroine and the large bird-man-thing that had grabbed her. Seeing no sign at the moment, the young woman then looked over to where Jasmine was working on the injured thug, focusing on the figure that was apparently the real Osprey. "So, what is your story then?"

Well, I actually did post IC already, but could expand on having the mind control work I guess.

No Ari, missing isn't a complication, it is just luck of the dice (or Invisible Castle in this case). Things will turn around at some point.

So, at the start of the round, Synapse's array is still set on Telepathy, so she will use the mental communication part of that to send that free action communication to Catalyst. Then she switches the array to Mind Control to try to take over Big Nelson and have him put his weapon down and order his men to do the same. DC 20 Will save for him to resist.
