Thomas, you should be able to cover all of that but number 5. So go ahead the other parts.

Okay, he is fine. Jay is up!

GM A sly smile came to Lady Shen's face as Subito responded to her, and the elderly woman focused on Giang. "So, you do know the identity of your father's master." She said quietly. She then turned her head slightly to regard all three of the teens once more. "Recruits? I rather doubt the three of you would be completely suitable, at least not without a considerable amount of conditioning. Powerful? I am sure, but what good is power if it cannot be controlled." She responded as she turned and started walking down a stone stairway towards the courtyard. Some of the guards gave the three teens a small nudge, indicating they were to follow down the stairs. Out in the center of the courtyard, the gathered men and women continued their training regimen in the hot morning sun. "I do have a number of current students that are metahumans such as yourselves." Lady Shen stated as she led them down the stairs. “Who will become elite agents for the master.†She glanced over her shoulder slightly to look back at Giang as she added, "for a time, your father even sent three of your older half-siblings to train with me. I wonder if he intended to do the same with you?"

Okay Thomas, Tempest is up. If he is going to try to drive away, that will take a couple of rounds (assuming he can even get through the gate). He is of course alone at the moment, though there are the cameras (not that he cannot give himself some cover from them).

Just as Wave-Eye's vision cleared, he saw the figure dart through the water, circling to the Triton's left side. It was certainly moving quickly, but not as quickly as Wave-Eye himself could move. The figure the aimed its spearlike object at him once more and another bright burst of energy streaked through the settling cloud of sediment. Once again Wave-Eye was struck by the blast, which slammed into his left side. The Triton felt another jolt of pain, but was this time better prepared to take the hit, barely budged by the impact, and vision remaining clear.

Tsunami just makes the Reflex save with a 20.

On to… Round Three 22 Unknown figure 17 Tempest (unharmed, 2 HP) 16 Wave-Eye (bruised, 1 HP) 8 Squid thing. The mysterious figure fires again at Wave-Eye, who just recovered from being dazed. Another hit (maybe) with a 22. Miss check confirms it hits with a 10, so another DC 25 toughness save for Wave-Eye.

Up on the surface of the river, the massive squid smashed the wall of the building once more with one of its long tentacles. Once again the building and pier shook violently, and a section of the wall was smashed completely in, creating a huge hole in the side of the building. Down in the loading dock, the security guard that had guided Fulman back to the delivery van ran back through the doors leading into the building, drawing his sidearm as he went. Glancing around, Fulman saw that there were some cameras in the area, but there was currently no one else in the loading dock.

Giang Trang pulled the small van she was driving into the driveway of Mail's parents' house. The Asian teen had been allowed to borrow one of the school’s vans for the evening, seeing as most of the students had returned home for the Thanksgiving break. A year ago, she had not known how to drive a car, but had learned to drive from John Smith, and not just a car, but a motorcycle as well. So much had changed for the eighteen year old over the last year, ever since the people she believed to have been her parents had taken her out of the small mountain village in Vietnam, just before she had turned seventeen. Thanksgiving dinner was yet another new experience for Giang, but one she was looking forward to experiencing with Mali and her family, as well as a number of her other friends and classmates from Claremont Academy. Tonight the Asian teen was wearing a traditional which a collar that covered about hallway up her neck. It was white in color, with light and dark green floral patterns covering it along with light green piping around the neck and over fold that went from the base of her neck over to the right hand side of the dress. Her long black hair was put up in a partial bun in the back, with several curls of hair dangling down to her shoulder blades. Exiting the van, Giang locked it and then made her way up to the front door and rang the doorbell.

Well, Crow is standing next to a portal that is open to a room filling up with knockout gas! So, Crow needs to make a Reflex save to avoid the cloud forming out of the portal (DC22), if he makes it, of course he avoids the effect (Evasion), even if he misses, he reduces the Fort save needed anyway (Evasion 2) and would need to make a DC 16 Fort save. Once I have that, we are on to… Round Four (10 rounds till computer files begin to delete!) 29 Blue Jay (1 HP, Unharmed) 24 Blodeuwedd (2 HP, Unharmed) 17 Raven (Unharmed) 12 Crow (1 HP, Unharmed, Coat is suffering fatigue (-2 ranks to all powers until repaired)) 8 Warden (Unharmed) And Jay will be up!
-
Focusing his attention for a few moments on the underground sewer systems around the "blank" area under the first floor of the apartment building, Crow was able to see the various tunnels that twisted their way through the neighborhood. However, he found he was unable to make out much in the way of details. Hot water pipes and the various fiberoptic and electrical systems that ran through those tunnels all blazed vividly to his infravision, but made it difficult to see anything else that might be down there. In his control room, Warden bit back a curse as another of the autoguns down in the lobby were taken out by the girl with the bow. His anger only increased as he saw Raven freed from the trap that had captured her, and was not unlikely to succumb to the knockout gas filling the room she was in. His hands began typing across the keyboard in front of him as he once again spoke into the microphone that broadcast into the trapped building above him. "So you are free again Raven, at least for the moment. How can you stand to support the corrupt system that allows so many criminals, especially the superpowered ones, to just circulate in and out of Blackstone or any of prisons? Are you not tired of so many of your enemies escaping from Providence with such easy?" "You and all the so-called other heroes are just supporting a corrupt system that is failing to accomplish what it is supposed to be doing, and preventing me from doing what needs to be done to correct that." "But let us try a little game here. You are so concerned with where those other three teens are, you will need to hurry up. In one minute, my computer system will start deleting all the information relating to my contract to capture them. Get down here before then, and you can probably stop that from happening. I guess we will have to see won't we?"

Okay Ari, unless you want to spend a hero point to remove fatigue, the Squid will be up again.

GM Once the vessel had touched down, the other Atlanteans has swum over to see what was going on and how they could assist Thealia. The Atlantean princess opened up the storage compartment of the submersible, reveling the stolen statue and other treasures. While Thaelia was able to lift the statute on her own, it was much easier to do and maneuver with the assistance of several other Atlanteans. While Giang had not been able to hear her roommate's comment, she was not in any rush, knowing that ensuring everything was returned to its proper place was important to the Atlantean teen. The Asian teen set about powering down the submersible once more. Having done so, she used her powers to push the water away from the cockpit, forming an air bubble around it so she could more easily open the cockpit door and exit. For the moment, she resealed the cockpit, in case they wanted to remove the vehicle under its own power, as she was rather certain that allowing the water in would ruin the electronics. Once that was done, she stepped back into the water and allowed the air bubble to collapse and then swam after Thaelia and the other Atlanteans.

Wave-Eye of course saw, and sensed, the massive squid like creature rise up to the surface. But even as he did, he noticed something else amid the cloud of sediment that had been kicked up by the squid's passage. Down in the water where the squid had just been before going to the surface was a humanoid figure, although details were difficult to make out. It held some sort of spearlike object in one hand and was hovering in the water facing the Triton. The figure pointed the spearlike object at Wave-Eye, and another blast of energy lanced through the water, disrupting the cloud of sediment as it passed. This time the blast struck the Triton squarely in the chest, the impact knocking him backward through the water and causing flashes of light to appear in front of his eyes.

I forgot to roll the miss chance, but it was an 8, so it did hit. Thomas, Tempest is up, I will call it a move action to get over to the van and inside. Starting the van up will be another move action. And of course, you could do something else as well.
-
Okay, Wave-Eye is able to spot a figure down in the water just below where the squid has risen up to, it appeared to have been holding on to the squid and stayed below when it rose up. It has something long and spearlike in its hand. Round Two 22 Unknown figure 17 Tempest (unharmed, 2 HP) 16 Wave-Eye (unharmed, 1 HP) 8 Squid thing The figure aims whatever is in its hand at Wave-Eye and sends off another blast of energy, this time hitting with a 22. DC 25 toughness save for Wave-Eye.

Shrugging off Wave-Eye's blast of slicing blades with seeming ease, the gargantuan squid began to rise up to the surface of the river. Breaking through the air above next to one of the piers that jutted out over the water from the land. The waters around it roiled into waves that crashed up along the banks and caused nearby boats to rocks violently. Massive tentacles, at least a hundred feet long rose up from the waters as it slammed two of them down into the sleek silvery office building sitting atop the pier. The building and the pier vibrated from the impacts as glass shattered and the walls cracked ominously. Down in the loading dock, Fulman had just started back to the delivery van when he sensed a unusual disturbance in the waters around the creature, followed quickly be the creature rising up to break through the surface. Then the entire building shook as the sound of loud impacts against the walls reverberated throughout. The security guard who had been escorting him braced himself as he looked back towards the doors they had come through somewhat concerned. He then paused a moment as if listening to something over the radio. He then turned back to Fulman. "Get back into your vehicle and remain until told everything is clear!" He ordered, pointing over to the delivery van.

GM "I'm Brad, and this is Nathan and Molly." He replied, indicating the two other students from FCU, both of whom gave her a small smile and wave in greeting. Brad then turned to the other two members of the group, starting with Giang next. "And you go to Claremont Academy right?" "That is correct." Giang replied. "My name is Giang Trang, and it is very nice to meet you all." She replied with a slight formality to her voice. "Isn't Claremont a really selective private school?" As the other young woman in the group, the one who attended Freedom College. She had short brown hair and was dressed rather casually, though warmly. "I'm Cathy by the way." As Alexander was finishing his small snack, he saw a group of six young people approaching the picnic area on one of the trails from the visitor's center. There were four young women and two young men, and though it was a bit hard for him to really judge, he believed they ranged from their late teens to early twenties in age.

While waiting for Mess' Toughness save, will make some other rolls to keep us moving forward. Jack once again makes an aid other action (feint attack), succeeding with a 21. Malcom again tries to make an attack with the +3 from Jack’s assistance. He gets a 20, for another miss. So, just need the toughness save for Mess so I can post and we can move on to the next round.

Blod had to hop down from her current perch and bound up into another corner of the room to get at more of the cables holding up the bound form of Raven. Her enchanted blade easily sliced through several more of the cables. The result was a loosening of the net wrapped around Raven. With the slack that Blod had created, the dark clad heroine was finally able to twist and slip out of her bonds. Raven began to fall once free, but easily flipped over to land lightly on her feet in a low crouch. One dark gloved hand reached down to one of the pouches at her belt and pulled out a rebreather that placed in her mouth as she scanned the room,

Raven manages to escape this time. And Crow is up!

"I would not expect us to find much in any of the stores in this mall that could truly hold up to even brief combat." Giang replied to Thaelia's comment with a small smile as the three entered the store. Mali led them right into the thick of the section with the more formal dresses. For Giang, this was something of a new experience. While growing up in Vietnam, she had never had occasion to wear a more formal dress. During the brief stay at her father's home in Hong Kong, she had been provide a number of dresses for various occasions, but they had all been selected for her, and she had not stayed there long enough to wear any of them. Giang turned to regard the dress that Mali had found, moving a bit closer to get a better look. "That is a very pretty dress Mali." She said in agreement.

GM After the three teens had been given a chance to eat, several guards gathered in the hallway between the cells as the forcefields over the entrances were lowered and the three allowed to exit. Once again they were led by a group of guards, who this time simply formed a circle around them, instead of physically dragging them along. As during the night before, they were taken down the odd shaped hallways to the elevators that took them back up to the elaborately decorated halls of the Asian styled building above. But this time, instead of being led back towards the chamber in which they had been taken before the Lady Shen before, the three teens were led in the opposite direction, eventually exiting the building altogether. As they exited through large wooden doors, the teens stepped out onto a stone landing. For a few brief moments, the bright sunlight was almost blinding, the air outside hot and humid. As their eyes adjusted, the three heroes were able to see that the building they had just exited was part of a compound of building, spaced along a large courtyard like area. Each of the other buildings were of a classical Chinese style, and surrounding them was thick jungle. Across the courtyard, towering off in the distance was a tall mountain that looked as if might have once been an active volcano. It was then that they realized the courtyard area was not empty, but filled with what appeared to be several hundred figures dressed in light blue gi like uniforms. All appeared to be performing some sort of martial arts kata, moving through the same stances and strikes in near perfect unison, their comingled voices echoing over the surrounding buildings and jungle at various points. Standing on the landing a short distance away was the Lady Shen, dressed in similar style to what she had worn the night before, save this time the dress was of a deep blue color, with silver and gold embroidery. She turned towards the entrance as the teens were led out, giving them a rather sinister smile. "Good morning children. I hope you slept well."

Sergio and Jonathan looked over at Nick as he asked his question. "I do not believe we have the luxury of trying to maintain any sort of privacy if we truly wish live through the next twenty four hours." Sergio replied in his rasping voice. "But to answer the question, I am not aware of any of those who died forty years ago seeing anything particular strange in the time before their deaths." He then added, but paused a moment and then continued, "that said however, as someone who has lived through this curse twice, and can generally remember both occurrences, as those thirteen hours wear on, it is almost as if you can feel something in the very air around you, seeping into your very being."

Thomas, your post has Tempest doing a lot more than he should be able to in one round (six seconds). He was only able to make it to the loading dock in the round. Ari, the sediment cloud is giving partial concealment, so there is a 20% miss chance, but he is able to hit. ??? makes his toughness save with a 31, so is fine. The squid also makes its toughness save with a 36.
