Okay, Blod is up!
-
GM One of the Atlantean warriors moved quickly to follow Thaelia's request, studying the controls for the crane for a few moments before starting to maneuver the arm back over the water. The submersible jerked slightly as the crane arm began to move into place. As it came to a halt back over the water, the vessel swayed slightly before the cable holding it aloft began to descend, with a couple of jerks at first, and then smoother until it was back in the water with a bit of a lurch. Once the cable went slack, Thaelia detached the clamps that had been attached to the submersible to hold it to the cable. After getting the signal from her roommate, Giang engaged the vessel's propellers, starting it forward away from the ship as they began do descend back into the depths of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Thaelia held onto part of the submersible's hold, riding along with it although it moved slower than either Thaelia or Giang were capable of. But it was not long before they approached the underwater city of Crantorium. At the approach of the submersible, a number of Atlanteans rouse up to challenge it, but quickly spotted Thaelia riding down with the vessel and moved aside to allow it to pass as Giang guided it down towards the city's temples

Okay, all five arrows will hit and that autogun is toast. Go ahead and post in IC Rav.
-
Okay, so she is just fine. Jay is up!

Round Three 29 Blue Jay (1 HP, Unharmed) 24 Blodeuwedd (2 HP, Unharmed) 17 Raven (Bound and Helpless) 12 Crow (1 HP, Unharmed, Coat is suffering fatigue (-2 ranks to all powers until repaired)) 8 Warden 8 Autogun (-1 injured) Jay is up (again dependent upon result of Fort save)
-
The first of the black knives struck the autogun in the hallway to the left of the elevator, flying straight up the weapons barrel and cutting through the feeding mechanism into vital systems. The weapon smoked slightly as it continued to try to fire, the result of which was it exploding due to the internal damage. Another knife struck the autogun in the right hallway, sinking deep into a side and causing some damage, but otherwise leaving the weapon operational, if somewhat impaired. The gun turned as it continued to track Blue Jay as the teenager attempted to present a difficult target. Once again it fired a burst of the small round shells, three of which struck with jolting electrical shocks, while two shells just flew over her legs and impacted on the ground nearby. In the control room, Warden scowled under his mask as he saw one of his autoguns go offline near the lobby and saw some of the cables holding the currently contained Raven in the air get cut. Whomever had come to assist Raven was certainly causing trouble, but there were still plenty of other traps awaiting them beyond their current locations. The master trap builder flipped various switches arrayed in front of him as he prepared for the heroes to move on to the next layer of his maze.

Okay Ari, need a Notice check for Wave-Eye to try and spot the thing he is following through the cloud of sediment that has been kicked up. Thomas, Tempest has sensed something moving up the river, but of course, at the moment he is in the middle of a room with a number of other people (caterers and some PanStar employees).
-
Diving back into the cold waters, Wave-Eye sliced through the water with practiced easy, undeterred by the waves and tides that lashed around him. As he neared the bottom, he found that sediment had been disturbed by whatever had passed, kicking it up higher into the water in a great billowing cloud that was swirling around in the currents before it would eventually resettle on the bottom. Though he was unable to see whatever it was at the moment, the Triton could still sense it moving ahead of him and began to pursue. While it was fast, he was faster, and would soon close the distance. Swimming along it the wake, Wave-Eye passed through the Narrows, whatever it was he was following having just entered the mouth of the South River... Meanwhile, Fulman had just finished getting the ice sculpture situated on its table when he felt an unusual shift in the current toward the mouth of the South River. Something apparently large was cutting against the current near the bottom of the river, and was leaving a considerable wake as it moved up the river, generally in the direction of the Waterfront...

The remaining autogun fires again, and dang they get lucky rolls, another 30, so another DC 22 Fort save for Blue Jay. EDIT: Went back and checked something, because Blue Jay is prone, she gets a +4 to her defense vs ranged attacks, so she was actually only hit three times, so she has a DC 20 Fort save to make.
-
The second auto gun gets a 13 on its toughness save. So it is damaged (-1 injury). This also means is suffers a -1 on its attack rolls until repaired.

As Nick was sequestered in Sergio's study, Carmen found herself in one of the sitting rooms on the main floor with several members of the family. Vince was present, still seeming casual and carefree, despite the claims that his doom was approaching. Catherine and her daughter Jessica were also present, both seated on a sofa chatting pleasantly with the rock reporter, though it was apparent they were a bit more rattled by the séance than Vince, apparently at least somewhat more convinced that the curse might indeed be true. Mary and her cousin Jonathan were standing off to one side in a quite conversation of their own, while Mary's brother, Frank, was standing near one of the windows, looking out stormy weather outside. "The storm seems to be getting worse." Frank stated out loud to the room at large, turning slightly to look back at the other occupants. "I would likely be rather inadvisable for you to try to leave on your motorcycle until it has passed Ms. Canto." "Well, she will just have to stay overnight then." Catherine stated as if there was no question that would be the case. She looked over at Carmen and gave her a warm smile. "We will have Sergio's housekeeper prepare a room, there are plenty."

With Sergio providing assistance in translation where needed, Nick began pouring through the bound volumes containing letters, written accounts and other original documents relating to the family and its history. Sergio seemed to know the books very well, and was able to help Nick focus in on the more pertinent portions that were at least somewhat related to the curse and the aftermath of its appearances. Many of the accounts, particularly the older ones, contained the sorts of superstitious fears and prejudices that were sometimes present in the very religiously devout. But reading past some of the slanted views that resulted, Nick still found the accounts quite informative. As Sergio had stated, the means by which family members perished during the appearances of the curse were extremely varied. Lightning strikes, horseback riding accidents, unexplained severe allergic reactions, balcony railing collapsing causing fatal falls and numerous other bazar incidents that could conceivably be viewed as nothing but unfortunate accidents, save for the fact that thirteen of them would happen over a thirteen hour period on the same two days very forty years. One other thing that became apparent to Nick in reading the various accounts, as those thirteen hours wore on, the family members clearly seemed to have become aware that something was stalking them.

"I do not believe you will be losing much by starting some of your shopping today." Giang commented with a faint smile as she looked at the window displays of a nearby store, which was filled with mannequins in a variety of fashions along with several signs mentioning sales. Plenty of other stores had similar signs out as well. "But starting with dresses sounds like the most reasonable beginning." She then added. The three teenagers had been among the students at Claremont Academy to be invited to a holiday party hosted by the Freedom League in a few weeks time. Giang had met Raven a couple of times, both of which had involved Raven helping Giang get away from agents of either her father or Dr. Sin. She had also met a few other members of the League over a year ago when Raven had first found her in Singapore and taken the teenager out of Asia to keep her safe. But having little experience with shopping for a dress for an event such as this, Giang was more than willing to follow Mali's lead. So the trio of teenagers made their way through the busy mall and into a trendy teenager/young adult women's clothing store that was likely to have a good selection of dresses.

"Yes, that would likely be the simplest way to return everything safely." Giang replied at Thaelia's questions. The Asian teen then climbed out of the compartment they were in and back over towards the submersible's cockpit, into which she climbed, examining the controls and instruments for a few moments. "I believe I will be able to pilot the craft." She stated, as she flipped some switches, causing the vessel's engine to roar into life. Giang then swung the door to cockpit closed and sealed it, for though she did not need to be sealed off from the ocean, the electronics and controls of the vessel were unlikely to continue operating if exposed to the water.

Fighter 11 moves forward and throws a jab at Crimson, hitting with a 24, so a DC 18 toughness save for Crimson. Thug 3 moves close to the door, but holds back. Fighter 5 closes with Mess and attacks, hitting with a 21, so DC 16 toughness save for Mess.

So, for purposes of plot, I am going to say Tempest is a bit distracted at the moment. But he will sense a shift in the currents in the water soon enough Thomas.

Dark waves crashed against the rocky shoals on which Wave-Eye was perched, the waters bitter cold, but that hardly bothered the Triton. There were a few ships out on the dark waters, visible through the darkness due to their lights, which bobbed up and down in the waves. Lost in thought and focused on the bright lights of downtown Freedom City, Wave-Eye almost missed it. But out of the corner of his senses, he felt something passing through the deep waters of the bay, down close to the bottom, almost hidden by the undercurrents. Something big had swum by and passed into the Centery Narrows towards Freedom City… Inside the PanStar research facility, Fulman and the caterers had followed the security guard down a series of hallways and into a large room in which a number of tables had been set up down the middle of the room. Two more PanStar employees in suits were waiting there to begin directing the set up, and Fulman was soon maneuvering the cart the ice sculpture was on to get it transferred over to the central table in the room while the caterers began setting up on the surrounding tables…

Well, he might not be a minion, but Fighter 12 blows his save with a 9, so, he is OUT.

Giang stood back quietly at Thaelia's reaction to the statue, respecting her friend’s need for some space to regain her composure. When the Atlantean teen began examining the statue for any signs of damage, Giang took a few moments to scan the rest of the compartment for any other treasures that might have been taken, finding a few webbed sacks filed with miscellaneous items made of precious metals or adorned with gem stones that the mercenaries apparently happened upon while securing their primary objective. The Asian teen looked over when her roommate spoke up about wanting to return the statute to its rightful place. "Of course not Thaelia." She replied with a simple nod. “" would like to see it where it belongs as well."

Thanks for the changes Tiff. There is still something strange with the text in you array, as I cannot align it right to use the array code. Will see if anyone else is better able to tinker with that. APPROVED
-
Okay Tiff, one minor crunch thing for Miss Grue. Her normal grapple should be +8, as you dropped a point of strength from an earlier build but do not appear to have accounted for that here (+5 BAB +1 AF: Melee +2 STR bonus). I also think her grapple when Shrunk might need to be adjusted as well, the other two are fine. On a formatting note, you have some weird indention that starts Power Descriptions and down the rest of the sheet that needs to be fixed. I tried to take a look at it but did not want to mess things up messing with it. Similarly, with your array, you need to remove the additional indention for all the array powers and use the array code instead. For the Birthing Unit/spaceship, everything should be listed as EP, as it is a vehicle and bought with equipment points. Also, you need to indicate by the size that you spent 2 EP increasing it to Huge (though you do account for that in the trait total). On the fluff, I have two things. First is a question that does not really matter one way or the other, was there a reason you did not want her to contact Pseudo once on Earth? The other could be a bit more of an issue. Under description, you mention a couple things regarding Mother Unit and the Birthing Unit. First, you talk about the Mother Unit being able to form around Daphne as her costume. If you still want to stick with that, it likely needs to be accounted for on the Mother Unit (I'll talk to the other refs on whether it could just be a feature (if it is only her costume and nothing else) or maybe a very minor morph). But perhaps more significantly, you mention that the Birthing Unit can collapse down around the Mother Unit. This certainly would need to be accounted for somehow on the vehicle, as you have a Huge vehicle shrinking down into a small portable form.

"Well, settling back here has been somewhat easier than adjusting to staying in the Null Zone for so long. I think it was a year in the zone before I stopped waking up in the middle of the night a couple of times a week in a panic about how concerned my family and friends must be, or worried about what was happening with the League." Megan replied with a small smile. "We decided it was time to return, there was a bit of a discussion on when to come back." She then continued. "The idea of skipping ahead six years was one we talked about, but eventually rejected. It was just likely to cause way too many problems, with us likely to have been declared dead or something. I just could not do that to my parents and siblings, and Robert did not want to put his mother or sister through it either. Not to mention he is the current Lord Harrow, and there really isn't anyone else to succeed him at this time. So, we opted to come back the day after Robert disappeared and I left to find him, and after filling in Daedalus on what all happened, we took Lawrence back to our place in Fiji to finish up the trip that those who knew us believed we were still on." The blonde speedster stopped a moment before continuing. "But truthfully, I wanted to talk because as far as the world is concerned, I am a twenty two year old who suddenly has a six year old son."
-
GM Having decided to bide their time for the moment, the teenager heroes settled down in their respective cells, eating some of the food provided by their captors. Though they had been sedated during the trip to their current location, the teens still found themselves rather drowsy, perhaps because of the sedative used to keep them under during the flight, so they soon drifted off to sleep once the lights were dimmed in the cell block. The three were awakened the following morning when the lights were brightened once more and the guards arrived in front of the forcefields to their bowls containing their breakfasts. The same guard who spoke passable English was there to oversee things and called out. "You have half an hour to eat and prepare yourselves before another audience with the Lady Shen."

"Well, I actually have not had a chance to start looking at any of the older recordings for the cameras just yet. Not quite sure how far back the tapes I have go." Lance admitted as Harry shot of some possibilities. "I think there might be some tapes for some of the more distant cameras around the area as well. If you two have some time, we can see what we might be able to locate on some of those." The analyst led the two back into the bedroom he used as an office, in which were a number of tables set up along the walls, on which sat a number of monitors, computers and other media and tech equipment.
