The ease at which a number of the Serpent People were subdued was a good sign to Giang, though the Asian teen knew enough not to expect things to continue to go so easily, especially given the more confident demeanor of those that quickly formed a wall in front of the female serpent and the captured Subito. Surrounding herself with a shimmering sheen of water, Giang shifted into a defensive stance as she prepared to continue to press the advantage. But when her hands came up and she sent another blast of water at one of the remaining Serpent People, her target was able to dodge aside and the twisting coils of water streaked past to impact into the wall beyond.

"Hey Freddy, Harry." Lance said with a smile as he greeted the two private investigators at the door to his apartment and stepped aside to let them enter. The apartment looked just about like it had the last time the two had dropped in to see him. The analyst gave a small smile as Harry mentioned why they needed his help. "A theft from the docks you say? What are the odds. A hour or so ago Mutnick sent me some video surveillance from the area around a cargo ship from Hong Kong that arrived late last night. Just got done reviewing it and lucky enough, I like you a heck of a lot more than him." Lance's expression then became a bit more serious. "But truthfully, there is not much there that could help I am afraid. At around 3:30 AM someone took out all the cameras that had even a partial view of that ship, one after another." "As for some superstrong sneaky female superthief, well, I cannot really think of anyone that fits that description completely. There are plenty of female supervillains running around at the moment, but a lot of the super strong ones tend more to the smash and grab type thefts than being really sneaky."

Exaccus, looking good, a couple minor crunch things: For abilities, I believe his STR should be listed with a 22 for base? (You have spent 12 points). Which would make it 34 [22] and +12/+6. For his array, I believe is should be Array 15 (not 19), as you have a 30 point array and 1 alt power. (also, I went in and fixed the formatting for the array to add the indention for the powers within the array). But perhaps the bigger issue is I calculate you to be 4 pp over (as the combat block is now 28 pp, not the 24 you list at the bottom of the sheet). If I could make a suggestion, perhaps to start you could drop a couple ranks from the Super Strength in the array? (thus dropping the array by 4 pp, making it Array 13). You can always repurchase those ranks once you get posting and earn more pp.

Okay Ari, brief intro for Wave Eye. Provided you a chance for some character reflection and whatnot. Don't move him out of Great Bay for the moment.

The caterers were easily distracted from their question about how long it had taken Fulman to make the ice sculpture as they began talking about the various appetizers they had prepared for the event. As they talked, the caterers and Fulman pushed their carts towards a pair of double doors with small windows that led out of the loading dock. One of the red uniformed Pan Star security guards was waiting by the doors and accompanied them as they made their way beyond towards wherever the reception was being held. Meanwhile, out in the Great Bay... Nochehuatl, or Wave Eye as he was known to many in Freedom City, was swimming through the somewhat turbulent waters of the bay. The triton had been patrolling some of the costal waters south of Freedom City, but found little that required his attention. So he had returned to the waters closers to the city...

Okay, so we are breaking up the band!

Bumping this up so people can find it easier while you work on this Exaccus. Looks like an interesting character! Might want to put some thought into more complications for him (Supercape just recently wrote a thread with suggestions on crafting those in the Off-Panel section (though we should be moving it to Character Building soon)). A few things. Currently, you are just below your Def/Toughness cap (by 2). You can do this, but you probably would not want to. Maybe picking up a bit of extra toughness? (maybe 2 ranks of protection/or more Con)? For skills, you do not really need to list ones you have no ranks in and would only use untrained. Also, why does he have Pilot (which is for aircraft) and not Drive (which covers any ground or water craft)? For his Express Line power, did you consider Sure Footed from super movement? That would make it harder for terrain conditions (such as snow, hills, etc) from slowing him down.

GM Giang gave a small nod as she took Thaelia's offered hand. It was only a small hop for the Atlantean teen to propel herself and her roommate up to the suspended submersible. Giang released from Thealia's hand just before they landed, the Asian teen landing lightly while Thaelia did so with a bit more force. The submersible swayed slightly, but both teens kept their footing as they moved to examine the internal compartments of the vessel. As it turned out, the search proved quick, as there was only two compartments. The first, at the front of the vessel was the sealed compartment for the pilot, with all the various controls. The second compartment was further back, set up for divers to load objects recovered underwater into it. Inside, Thaelia and Giang found a eight foot tall marble statue of Poseidon that Thaelia knew had been housed in temple in Crantorium.

Megan could not help but smile at Stesha's outrage over the attack on Robert. The young speedster had certainly felt that way about the incident when it happened, but for her it now was much further in the past than it might seem. "I was rather upset following the kidnapping, but Robert is just fine. And things were much more complicated than simply attacking him to get at me." At Stesha's other question, Megan looked back in the direction of the bedroom as she responded. "He does have powers, but not quite like those wielded by the one in the future. And they currently are not particularly strong." The blonde speedster turned back to look at the green haired plant controller. "He is not connected to the other version of Collapse, so does not strengthen him. The general theory is that Lawrence might be the Alpha to Collapse's Omega, immune to Collapse’s powers and possible the means of stopping him." "But there is a bit more to the story as well. When we found Lawrence, he was a newborn, not long out of the artificial womb that held him during gestation." Megan paused a moment, seeming lost in thought before she continued. "I may not have given birth to him, but there was just something about finding that little baby, so fragile and helpless. Even then it was easy to see Robert in his features." "Robert and I knew we had to care for him and raise him. And from our perspective, that is what we have been doing for six years in the Null Zone."

Tsunami will use Defensive attack again -2 atk/+2 def. She attacks one of the remaining serpents, likely missing with a 13.

Megan smile again at Stesha's comments about looking forward to hearing a good story. "No, I did not know Phantom very well." The younger blonde woman stated. "But I guess saying a trip to an alternate dimension was involved is a pretty good description. But that is only part of it." "It started last week while Robert and I were at our new place in Fiji. I had gone to check on Robert when he was supposed to be making us some lunch and arrived just in time to see one of those time agents I ran into in Switzerland back in February disappear with an unconscious Robert. After a quick search of the entire place just to be sure they had not gone invisible, I was certain that Robert had been taken from the time stream, possibly to the future, but most likely to the Null Zone that this group operated out of." "So, after suiting up, I ran back to Freedom City. You and much of the rest of the League was tied up on some mission or another, so I got in touch with Hronos to help me try to rescue Robert. We took the parts of the prototype and the finished Stopwatch and went to see a man named John Smith, whom Hronos had encountered months ago in possession of one of the prototype fragments. Apparently Smith had possession of that fragment for thousands of years. Smith was able to operate the Stopwatch to take us to the Null Zone, a place outside the normal flows of time and where time operates in a very different fashion." "We were able to locate Robert. But we also found Lawrence. He is a clone of the future son I have in some time streams, the one that is the threat to all the time streams. By growing him in the Null Zone, outside the normal flow of time, the belief was that he would be removed from the problems Collapse has normally. From what we have been able to determine, that belief appears to be true."
-
Velocity listened to the Caretaker’s greeting and brief explanation of the Null Zone and the information that Robert had just recently arrived and was resting in the hospital wing. A feeling of relief came over her, along with an impulse to set out and search for him, though she rather wondered if that might not be difficult given the bizarre nature of the Null Dome. She recalled when she had been spirited away to the Null Zone and that it was likely that she had been in the medical wing as well. As the Caretaker mentioned the problems Hronos was having, she frowned slightly before looking back at Hronos and Smith. "Well, perhaps we should split up for the moment?" She suggested quietly. "I could go on to the medical wing to check on Robert, and you two could take a look around some."

The young woman gave a little nod as she glanced at the clipboard in her hand a moment then looked back up. "There should be an extra cart over along the wall for you to transport the sculpture on." She said, pointing towards the interior wall of the loading dock. "You can follow along with the caterers to where it needs to go." She added, indicating the catering vans which were currently being unloaded onto other carts. She then made her way over to speak with the florists in order to get them organized as well. Fulman found the cart just as indicated by the young woman and soon had managed to get the ice sculpture loaded without betraying that it was too easy for him. Wheeling the cart over towards the catering vans, Fulman arrived just as the caterers were ready to take back the next load of food and drinks. "Hi." Said one of the caterers, a man who appeared in his early thirties. "That is a really impressive sculpture. How long did it take you?"

Velocity had slipped through the door the millisecond after it was open, but then quickly came to a halt a short distance beyond as she tried to reorient after once again given unusual nature of the interiors of the room. She was not about to test whether or not the room really continued on infinitely at high speed. She considered the man who seemed to be in the center of the room (if that truly was the center) for a moment, before speaking up. "My name is Velocity, and we are here looking for Robert Harrow, who was taken from our time stream."

Giang Trang took a moment to look up at the array of decorations that filled this section of the mall as she and her two friends Mali and Thaelia rode up the escalator from the underground subway station below. But despite the impressive decorations and displays, the Asian teen was soon back to making a scan of the area around them. Generally an observant individual, Giang of late had insured she was increasingly vigilant while out in the public. Having a number organized crime groups searching for one tended to increase one’s concerns when out in public. Indeed, Giang might not have even joined this little outing after classes finished a bit early for the day, but Mali had been rather persuasive. "So, where shall we begin?" Giang asked, a faint smile on her face as she turned her gaze away from scanning for potential trouble and focused instead on her two friends.

Midtown, Freedom City, New Jersey Monday, November 25, 2013 3:30 PM GM The weather in Freedom City had clearly begun to turn towards winter, the temperatures now regularly hovering at close to freezing during the day. There had already been a few days where a thin layer of frost greeted the morning sun, but thus far there had been no actual snow. But despite the cold weather that promised an even colder winter, the spirits in Freedom City seemed generally high, as it was only a few short days before Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season. But even with Black Friday approaching, many stores had already begun their Christmas sales in the hopes of starting their holiday shopping season early. The stores in Millennium Mall, one of the largest shopping malls in Freedom City, were no exception. So when three teenage girls from Claremont Academy ascended the escalator from the subway station located beneath the mall, it was to find Christmas decorations and displays up in full force. And though it was mid-afternoon on a Monday, the mall was quite crowded with shoppers.

"Lawrence has everything to do with that." Megan replied as she prepared herself some coffee. "And I am pretty happy. Lawrence is wonderful. So smart, inquisitive and energetic. He has certainly brought some changes for me and Robert, but most of them good." The blonde young woman pause a moment then gave a half-smile of her own. "But now that we have brought him back with us, there are a number issues we have to consider. So I could use for a bit of advice." She the paused a moment as she looked back at Stesha, grinning slightly. "But then, I expect you might want to know just how Lawrence came into the picture?"

Thug 6 is holding, so Harry is up!
-
One of the fighters in the waiting room was the first to reach the door to the hallway, pulling the door open to revel the chaotic scene beyond. Another fighter followed closely behind the first, passing him by to exit the now open door, bringing him right up behind Harry. The man wasted little time, lunching a sidekick at the rumpled private investigator's back. Though not as skilled a fighter as his partner, Harry had been in far more scrapes than he would have liked, and was able to pick up the sudden scent of the fighter as well. So he managed to twist just enough that the man’s kick glanced relatively harmlessly off his side. Another fighter closed in on Mess, throwing a right hook at the short pugilist, but Mess easily dodged the attack. The gun wielding thug who had called the fighters into action stood where he was, waiting with his gun ready, for an opportunity to take a shot at Mess if one presented itself.

"Coming right up then." Megan replied as Stesha indicated coffee would do. A moment later the blonde was setting a tray down on the glass coffee table with a coffee pot, two cups, a bowl of sugar and a small pitcher of cream. She sat down as well, waiting for Stesha to prepare coffee first as she glanced over at the windows. "Thanks, the view as certainly what sold me on renting the place." She replied. "It will be what I miss the most." The young blonde woman then looked back over at her teammate with a small smile. "Well, I think you now have some idea why I wanted to talk."
-
"Thank you." Megan responded as she hung up Stesha's coat in the closet near the door. "He is the very image of Robert. But of course, has my eyes." As Stesha move forward the apartment opened up into a large living room area that ran perpendicular to the foyer, connecting to a small dining room further along the wall to the left. There was a slight step down to the living room area, and just along the right hand wall was along table on which sat a laptop, printer and some other well organized office supplies along with a pair of low bookshelves. Straight ahead, she could see the doorway into the kitchen. The living room had two large black leather couches arranged around a glass to coffee table. There were a number of other low bookshelves, containing both books and a number of small sculptures and vases. One contained a number of home entertainment components, connected to a large flat screen TV mounted on the wall above it. But what really stood out in the room was that the living room wall to the left as one entered from the foyer, continuing on into the dining room area and then wrapping around to the other wall, was all large windows providing an amazing view of the buildings of Wading Way outside, including the three twisting towers of Pyramid Plaza rising up in the distance. "No, it has not been that long since last we did some catching up." Megan replied with a small smile as she followed after Stesha. "At least not for you." "Would you care for some coffee? Tea? Maybe a glass of wine?" The young blonde then asked.
