GM Once back up on his feet, the mercenary leader reloaded his speargun with a spear with a thick cylinder tip that had a small pressure sensor at the top. Brining his weapon up smoothly, Natas easily tracked the movements of the Asian teen as she tried to dodge the incoming attack. "You might remember this one, I used it last time we met to blow that hole in the main display tank at the aquarium. Let's see what it does to you!" The mercenary fired the weapon and the spear streaked across the deck, his aim true. There was a loud BOOM that echoed over the water as the explosive tip impacted into Giang and detonated. The Asian teen had managed to get her arms up in front of her torso to better shield herself from the explosion. The Asian teen gritted her teeth, as she was pushed backward a few feet, but the swirling water that surrounded her once again provided near complete protection, taking the brunt of the blast and dissipating it. As the brief cloud of black smoke that was created by the explosion dissipated, Natas was a bit shocked to see the teenager still standing and apparently unharmed. Having stood up once more, Thaelia was able to see the mercenary's attack on her roommate, but she was quickly distracted from the sight as another of the mercenaries appeared at the foot of a stairway along the central tower. The man quickly raised his energy rifle and fired a shot at the Atlantean teen, but the blast flew well wide of the intended target.

Natas fires another spear at Tsunami, hitting with a 27 (almost a crit!). Tsunami does not do well with her first TOUGH save, only getting a 17, so she will use her new hero point to reroll. Much, much better, getting a 18, bumped to 28, which is just good enough against that explosive speartip! Merc 14 steps into view and shoots at Glam, but misses with a 9.

Opening the garage door, Solar Sentinel was greeted to the sight of the squad cars pulling up around the building. Officers quickly exiting and getting behind their vehicles with their weapons at the ready. Once he made the call that the situation was under control, the officers moved forward and entered the garage, securing the unconscious thugs and starting a further sweep of the building which turned up no additional suspects. A short while later, a sergeant was just finishing getting a full statement from Solar sentinel outside, the number of squad cars on the scene having grown considerably. Other officers were busy removing bagged evidence, after photos had been taken of everything. "Well, thanks for all your help Solar Sentinel." The officer said as he closed his notepad. "The word is the officers injured back at the bank will all be fine, nothing too serious. Even though we could have tracked those guys back here, we could have had a big problem if that fire using guy was waiting here with them."

So, Lucy and Harry have a chance to respond to the two big guys if they want before Crimson kicks in the door. Then it will be initiative time.

The door slammed onto the ground a good ten feet away from its frame, causing a loud BANG that echoed down the corridor and up the stairwell Crimson Tiger was standing in. The teenage heroine found herself looking into a long hallway with high ceilings. The walls appeared to be cinderblock, painted white, and the area was brightly lit. A number of red, metal frame doors were spaced along the hallway. She also found herself facing four more of the guys in cheap suits who had been running down the hallway and came to a halt at her sudden entrance. Each had a pistol in hand. Further down the hallway, Crimson saw Harry and Lucy standing near one of the red doors on the left hand side of the hallway, and standing just beyond them were two large male figures in black bodysuits with red highlights.

"Alright then, be ready to move." The yellow clad speedster replied before she was gone in a blur of motion. Almost instantly, Velocity had stopped a couple hundred feet from the T-Rex, jumping up and down and moment and noting as their massive heads turned her way and they started moving towards here. She could feel the ground shake beneath her feet from their approach, and knew she should probably be scared. But to her, they were just going soooooo slow. The speedster then began leading the two meat eating dinosaurs away from where Hronos and Smith were, easily staying ahead of them, but not so much so that they quickly gave up the chase. She looped them around towards the opposite side of the dome, and quickly reached a point where they would no longer follow, apparently not wanting to get too far from the dome. Figuring she had led them far enough so the others could approach the dome, Velocity accelerated and all but vanished from the view of the two dinosaurs. She quickly circled back around and then followed along the path that Hronos and Smith would have taken towards the dome, her speed allowing her to catch up with those two before the T-Rex even realized she was gone.

Natas had recovered quicker than Giang had anticipated, leaping back towards his weapon once getting back on his feet. The Asian teen sent another blast of water flying at the mercenary, but it passed well over head as he dived underneath and snatched back up his weapon. But Giang had not left herself open, shifting her weight slightly, she prepared to dodge Natas' next attack. While Thaelia sounded frustrated, her apparent curses in Atlantean were at least indication that she was still conscious and would hopefully be back in the fight shortly.

GM Natas pushed himself back to his feet, shaking his head to clear the starts that had been before his eyes. As his vision cleared, he realized he had dropped his speargun, and glancing up, he quickly spotted it lying on the deck more than a dozen feet away. He had almost forgotten how powerful the water blasts from the Asian teen were. Once again she and friend were proving most troublesome. And perhaps worst, the delay they were causing could only be give the Atlanteans down in the underwater city a chance to organize and come after him in force, something he had no intention of allowing to happen. "Get the engines going and get us out of here." He said quietly over the radio to two of his men up in the bridge. "But what about.." began one of the men, only to be cut off by Natas. "Forget them! How long before you think an Atlantean war party arrives looking for us? We do not want to be anywhere in the area when they reach the surface." The mercenary leader stated, then as almost an afterthought, he added, "there is an Atlantean teen caught in one of my nets up on the upper deck, starboard side. One of you head down there and eliminate her." Up on the deck of the Python, two of Natas' mercenaries glanced at each other a moment before one started up the large ship's engines. The sound of the engines starting was audible on the upper decks, as faint vibrations could be felt along the lower deck. "I'll go find the Atlantean." One of the two stated, as he picked up an energy rifle from a nearby rack and headed off the bridge. Back on the lower deck, Natas sprinted forward suddenly, diving towards his speargun, which he snatched up as he rolled back up to his feet, once again facing Giang.

Okay, after that hit where Natas was at least temporarily dazed, I am making him make a Reflex save to hold onto his speargun. He fails with a16. The danger of having an easy to lose focus.

Freedom City Waterfront November 12, 2013; 6:15 PM The clouds that had hung over Freedom City all day were still very much in place as evening fell. The temperature was hovering just a bit above freezing, but the wind chill certainly made it feel as if it was colder. Fulmen Fairison had just spent the last half hour fighting his way through Freedom City's rush hour traffic to deliver a set of ice sculptures he had made in one of the part-time jobs he was involved with to help pay his bills. Some corporation was having some event at their Waterfront research lab and somehow Fulmen had ended up having to make the deliver as the normal driver was sick. Fulmen spotted his destination up ahead, a sleek three story building built on one of the piers along Freedom City's Waterfront. The company's logo was visible in one of the upper corners, a large star with its name written across, "PanStar." As he drew closer, Fulmen realized that the building was fenced off, and he had to pass through a gate, at which a pair of men in dark red uniforms stood waiting and checking vehicles. Getting into the small line behind a florist, Fulmen saw the armed guards check the driver's deliver order and then take a look in the back of the van. Once they were satisfied everything was in order, they waived the vehicle through and the gate opened, closing again behind the florist's delivery van as Fulmen pulled up. A stern looking man that looked like he might have once played football stepped up and shined a flashlight in Fulmen's face. "Can I see your delivery papers. Please." There was a distinct pause before the ""please," the word itself stated in a rather terse and businesslike manner.

Giang watched with a feeling of concern as Thaelia was entangled by Natas' net. The Asian teen recalled when the mercenary had used the same device on Kate in the Freedom Aquarium, and Kate had been able to quickly free herself by disintegrating part of the net. She expected Thaelia would be able to handle the electrical charge the net carried and was likely strong enough to free herself as well. The only question was how long that would take. Keeping her primary focus on Natas as he turned back to her, Giang's face showed no sign of concern. "It will take much more than that to stop my friend." She commented, as she brought her hands up in front of her, another blast of water erupting towards the mercenary. This time, the blast hit him square in the chest, causing him to let out a grunt of pain as he was knocked off his feet and sent flying back into the ship's railing. He fell to the deck, hurt and appearing to be momentarily dazed, but then he shook that off and lifted his opaque face mask up once more to focus on Giang.

Natas fails his Toughness save with a 19 making him bruised and dazed. I will remove the daze, giving Tsunami a hero point.

GM The mercenary leader in the reinforced wetsuit glanced up towards Thaelia as her shot impacted on the deck in front of him. "Ah, there you are." He stated in his cold voice, his free hand grabbing something that looked like a grenade from his belt which he threw towards the Atlantean teen. As the small device flew through the air, it burst open and a metal net spread out, arcs of electricity clearly visible playing along the metal mesh. Thaelia tried to step out of the way, but the mercenary's aim was true. The net wrapped itself around her, while the electrical charge shocked her from all sides. The Atlanetan teen was able to withstand the electrical shock, was tightly wrapped up in the net, her arms pinned into her body. Not able to properly balance, she fell over onto the upper deck, completely bound, at least until she could try free herself from her bonds. Natas turned back towards Giang. "Now it is just you and me."

Natas turns and throws something at Thaelia (it is a electrified net), he hits with a '>21. Thaelia needs to make a DC 18 Reflex save to avoid the entangle (or at least be less entangled) and a DC 18 Fort save to avoid the stun effect of the electrical charge).

Exactly why I want the next thread to be at a dog show Tiff! Anyway, sorry for the delay SC, was thinking on things. (Mess can certainly spend his HP on Hound, I believe the house rules specifically allow that for spending HP on sidekicks). But did you really want to use the HP now? There have been a number of ideas batted about, just need to pick one (such as hitting the street to talk with contacts, etc). Tiff has had a few ideas as well, though I think the last one is a bit problematic (I assume you're talking about Rene Tiff?)

Okay, sorry about this but there is going to be a bit of a delay. I forgot last night that my computer at work is being replaced in the morning. I also have a mediation that is scheduled for all day, so might not get to things till tonight.

Dee gave a small shrug as Young Britannia commented about her and Jasmine going down to the car park to get whatever they needed. "Nothing that I need to get down there." She stated. "I've got everything I brought with me." She added, and then considering the motorcycle helmet that she had in her hand, and the fact her motorcycle was miles away at the hospital, she tossed it over to Smith. "Hold on to that for me will you Smith." The young woman then smirked at the costumed heroine’s other questions. "Yes, I am new to all this, no costume or code name just yet.
