"I am sure your expertise could come in handy Professor." Velocity replied as Professor Sobchak spoke up about wanting to join the group going out to look at the piece of the device the Russians had been studying. The speedster then gave a small smile as Lvov mentioned the "bug," climbing in to be joined by Steed and Sobchak. She was just about to run out to wait alongside the vehicle when Robert came over to speak quietly with her, not looking particularly well. "Why don't you stay here with Hronos." She replied, giving him a caring smile as she took one of his hands in hers. "I know this has not been easy. Hopefully, it will be over soon." With that, she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, and then was off in a blur of motion, coming to a halt next to the "bug," waiting for them to get underway.

As Wisp appeared on the deck of the Perseverance, Tsunami gave a small smile, glad to see the other young woman. "It is good to see you again Wisp." She stated with a slight nod. Looking to the unusually dressed man who had introduced himself as Gloaming, the Asian teen brought her hands together in front of her and gave a small bow. "It is an honor Gloaming." She replied, before focusing back on Commander Volkland as the Coast Guard officer explained the situation. Looking out at the purplish cloud that was spreading out from the container ship, Tusnami gave a small nod. "I am certainly able to assist with either problem, though focusing my efforts on containing the spill might be the most effective use of my abilities at this moment."

Giang had immediately put on the vest that was handed out by the organizers of the cleanup, taking the gloves and bags as well. The Asian teen was glad to see that she was grouped with Mali, whose presence made her feel a bit more comfortable about being out in public. She paid little heed to the antics of the two young men who were also in their group, intent on focusing on the reason why they were all there. Looking to the other two young women in their group, Giang gave a slight bow, which included the two young men as well. "Greetings, I am Giang."

Velocity was considering Hronos' words a moment, smiling slightly when he had mentioned feeling correct in allowing her to take the lead in all of this when Robert had come over and whispered to her. The speedster understood what Robert was feeling, it was the same reason that she had initially withheld the information from the robot. "I feel the same way, but felt it was important to tell him at this point." She whispered back to Robert. "And I have no intention of sharing that information with our hosts." She gave him a concerned look before looking over to Steed as the woman came over as well. "It's morphic molecules actually." Velocity replied with a slight smirk. "How else do you think it stands up to going at hypersonic speeds? It might not be the most insulated, but this jacket from the Pegasus should help." Looking back at the group as a whole, she then spoke up a bit louder. "Okay then, lets get going. For now, Hronos is going to remain behind with one of the pieces, just in case having all three in close proximity could trigger some sort of reaction we don’t want."

There you go Thunder, a chance for Graft to introduce himself to Velocity!

"Well, while you all start going through that, I will go see if I can find any more devices that have been set up and not triggered yet." Velocity said with a small grin as the Mayor began to struggle with pulling up the surveillance video feed. After getting a number for the Rio police she could use to call in any devices she found, the yellow clad speedster was off in a blur. Starting at where she had been meeting with the mayor, the young speedster began a circular search pattern of the area the Carnival was taking place in, spreading outward as she zipped through crowds and buildings (sometimes even literally). She had not gone particularly far when came across a fireworks display set up that looked like it had been rerigged with something else in addition. Marking the location, she took out the cellphone she used as Velocity to call it in, after which she would resume her search.

A short while later, the quartet had travelled through the Fens and just into Greenbank when they gathered near the address Hector had provided to Harry last night. Jake's Gym was in a somewhat run down building, its sign slightly faded. It certainly reminded Freddy of some of the gyms he had trained in back in his youth, places that had just the most basic of equipment, and coaches that believed in the old ways of doing things. The open sign in the bared window next to the foot door was lit, though the neon for the "O" flickered on and off at times…

Velocity sees no pattern at all. Actually SC, I more mean Velocity could go look for any tear gas bombs or other devices that have been put in place but not set off yet.

Giang Trang was swimming under the waves of the waters surrounding Freedom City. Most would not consider making such a swim this late at night, least of all in the middle of a storm, but for the Asian teen, it felt as natural as walking down the street, perhaps even more so. In less than a week, she would be heading back to Africa to join aid missions there for the rest of the summer. She had spent the last few weeks since returning from a trip to Atlantis with her roommate on the rather deserted Claremont campus. But even with her patience with meditation and training it had begun to feel confining, particularly after the weeks spent exploring the depths of the ocean. So the teen had decided to go out for into the waters near Freedom City for a bit. With her water detection abilities, she had been able to discern the two ships she was currently approaching by their hulls’ contact with the water. One had clearly run aground. So the teen had decided to see if there was anything she might be able to do to help. As she had drawn close to the smaller ship that was fully in the water, which she assumed was trying to aid the other vessel, Giang brought her head above water, allowing her to hear the message broadcast from the Coast Guard vessel. It certainly served to prove that they could possibly use her help. Activating her powers to control the water around her, Giang began raising a column of water up into the air, on which she stood. Bending the column over to the Coast Guard vessel, the teen brought herself towards the bridge of the ship. "Greetings officers. I am Tsunami. Can I offer my assistance?" For once, Giang had chosen to wear the blue and yellow Claremont uniform, along with a black domino mask.

Velocity had turned her head slowly towards Foreshadow after his arrival, her goggles having already shown her his appearance and she had quickly enough placed him as not being a threat that there was no sign of surprise. He did not look like the description she had heard of the shadowy hero, the long blond hair reminding her more of Omen, Foreshadow's sidekick who she had worked with a few months ago. When the man before them confirmed he was a successor to the original, she was a bit more certain this was Omen, but did not say anything. Instead, she turned to the issue at hand. "That is certainly a way to start the investigation. But there is likely a lot of footage to review, and could take a fair bit of time." The speedster indicated. "Given a device was used in the tear gas incident earlier, it might also be a good idea to search the rest of the Carnival area for any other such devices. It is a pretty big area, but I should be able to handle it pretty quickly."

"Again with the walking." Velocity said with a small smile. "But, I guess I do need to wait for everyone else." She then added, as Hronos spoke, and indicated he wished to speak with her privately off to one side. She gave a small nod to the him and then looked back at the Lvov. "Well, while you all get ready for our little trip, we will have a quick conversation." With that, the speedster went off to one side to speak with Hronos, listening to what he had to say. While Hronos talked about not feeling a need to keep secrets, the speedster once again felt a bit guilty about those she had kept from him earlier, her mirrored goggles thankfully hiding the fact that her eyes had looked away a brief moment. She had to agree that he had a point with wanting to keep the parts separate until they knew more. "Well, regarding the secrets, I understand your concern, but I am not sure I wish to share all I know at this point, particularly given the complicated international politics that could unfortunately get involved here. While the Freedom League does have some authority regarding threats to Earth, it is far from absolute, and tends to be strongest when the threat is clear and imminent. While Russia is on friendly terms with the US and the League, in this instance, they might not see the danger posed by these pieces as either. Certainly we all know these pieces are causing time anomalies, but the greater threat posed by Collapse, that is primarily based on information provided by individuals from the future that travelled back here to obtain the other Stopwatch. That might not be as persuasive for the Russian government, and they could continue to assert a claim over this piece they have uncovered." "In addition, at the moment, I do not see a reason to tell them that the other Stopwatch was attuned to only operate for Lord Harrow. I am not sure that would help our position, and might make them even less willing to trust us. I also do not want Robert further dragged into something if they took some interest in him because of that." The young woman paused a brief moment, sighing slightly before she spoke again. "And there are some other things I would rather not share. I did not tell you this before, and I am sorry, but Collapse is a rather personal issue for me, beyond the danger he poses to all timelines and existence. In those timelines he exists, he is my son. Mine and Lord Harrow's. Dealing with the Stopwatch and these other pieces is a way to try to prevent his birth in this timeline. That fact is likely to make the Russians trust me even less." "As for keeping the various parts separate for now, that is certainly a good idea. But I should likely not be the one left to hold onto one of them for too long. When Robert was under the influence of the Stopwatch, in addition to trying to seduce me, he was also contemplating using my DNA to create Collapse artificially. These pieces could have a way of capturing that to be used just that way."

Tsunami instinctively pulled back some in the water as the explosions ripped thought parts of the Prince Edward, turning it into a blazing inferno that waited to engulf the Naval Station once it reached there. The Asian teen was worried about her friends, but knew she had to try to stop the fiery ship first, then do what she could to douse the flames, trusting on her friends to take care of themselves. Diving back beneath the waves, Tsunami shot through the water, swimming up ahead of the Prince Edward. Turning back so she could sense the underside of the ship's hull in the water, the teen focused on the strange current that was now the only thing propelling the ship forward. She was going to have to counter that current if she wanted to stop the ship. Bringing her hands up in front of her, the Asian teen reached out with her powers, seeking to assert her will on the water around the ship. Whatever was causing the strange current was powerful, and fought against Tsunami’s power. But the teen was not going to give up so easily, concentrating on the water she was trying to control, Tsunami pushed her power beyond its normal limits. Her power and whatever was controlling the current clashed against each other for a brief moment, and then, the Prince Edward began to slow, even being pushed backward from its destination some as Tsunami won the contest.

Well, Tsunami manages to beat that with a 32!
-
Cool Elegy, already thinking about how to bring Tsunami in. Hope to get a post up tonight, or by tomorrow morning.
-
SC, Tsunami will try to use her Water Control to counter the current propelling the ship (ie stop the ship). She will use extra effort to push her power (adding +2 ranks) in the effort, taking the level of fatigue for the moment. Let me know what I should roll.

Velocity had frowned slightly at Robert's message, as he had not started to the hotel right away as she had asked. Of course, despite the amount of time that had passed since she had left for the hotel to get into costume herself, he might still not be there yet, given her speed, and the fact she viewed that amount of time as considerably longer. She took a moment to shoot a quick text back. ________________________________________________ Velocity gave the mayor a bit of a smile as he mentioned her speed and what he wanted from her in terms of help. "It is not too much at all Mr. Mayor. I am happy to help you and Lady Brazil in whatever way I can." The speedster replied. "The incident with your chief of police involved a canister filled with tear gas that was detonated, so clearly someone is orchestrating all of this."
-
Velocity had breathed a sigh of relief as the doctor she had found managed to revive the police chief. As other police officers came to help their chief upright and secure him, the speedster had stepped back slightly, until the chief had requested the go see the Mayor to try to help him deal with the chaos spreading around the city. Megan of course had known full well that once she had donned her costume and become involved, there was a good chance she would be asked to provide more help. As much as she would rather be out dancing, that was not even an option now either, given the chaos breaking out anyway. As the three made their way to the mayor, something that was MUCH slower than speedster would normally be used to given the need to wait for the other two, Velocity took a moment to glance at her phone to see if there was any text from Robert to indicate he was safe. Once in the mayor's presence, the young heroine had given a smile to Lady Brazil, whom she had recognized, even if she did not know much else about the woman. She then focused her attention on the mayor, as he specifically requested her assistance in trying to deal with whatever was going on. "I am certainly happy to help Mr. Mayor." She replied with a nod.

Velocity only gets a 12 on her Pop Culture roll. And only gets a 14 for Gather Info (via Well Informed) for any of the same info. Well, guess that got two bad rolls out of the way.

Giang nodded in agreement as Thaelia discussed the reasons delaying a trip to an underwater forest, appriciating that the Atlantean teen was tempering her more typical impulses for Giang's benefit. While certainly capable of taking care of herself if the need arose, the Asian teen did not typically go out of her way seek conflict or trouble. Of course, since arriving at Claremont, Giang had begun to go against her normal inclinations as well, accompanying some of her friends on patrols in various parts of Freedom City. When Thaelia mentioned the possibility of a "spa day" back in Crantorium, Giang grinned slightly again. "Well, I have never indulged in a 'spa day' on the surface, my regular meditation providing some of the benefits many seek with a spa treatment, but I would be somewhat remiss if I did not take the opportunity now." "If nothing else, perhaps we should return now to rest a bit before we set out to explore the nearby oceans once more. I am sure many of the residents of Crantorium would be able to provide some suggestions on places to visit."

Velocity listened to the others and the UNISON scientist as they further discussed the problem, which was just as bad as the speedster figured it was. She was certainly glad that most of the others were only willing to consider any lethal options as a absolute last resort. But, there was really not much for her to add to the conversation, or even any possible course of action being discussed. While she generally understood what they were talking about regarding this “biosphere†creature, it was still rather outside her expertise. Now, if we were dealing with an evil corporation that was trying to bring about a global economic meltdown, I could totally deal with that. There was also the fact that her powers could not really help in trying to sooth Biosphere A, or help keep it sedated. If anything, she was far more likely to help rouse it. Great, back to being a cheerleader I guess. The young woman thought as she stood by listening, appearing to fidget some, both a result of feeling a bit useless and standing still for so long (well, to her). Least this time it would be for a team far more likely to win than North Bay's football team. "Well, I don't think I can do much to try to calm Biosphere A, but it certainly seems like something you should try Gabe. We do not seem to have many other options at the moment." She stated in support of Gabriel's statement. "If worse comes to worse, I might be able to help break up any tusunami that might be created by the creature's awakening, at least enough to reduce any impact."

Giang Trang was among the crowd of people that were there to help with the beach cleanup, dressed in tan shorts and a dark green shortsleeved shirt. The Asian teen had just recently returned from spend several weeks visiting some the undersea kingdom of Atlantis with her roommate at Claremont, Thaelia. She was only spending a couple of weeks at Claremont, before she would be leaving the country once more. Given the issues she had with her father and others associated with Dr. Sin’s criminal organization hunting for her, it was somewhat easier for Giang to be off somewhere they would not think to look for her while school was out. She had come across this volunteer opportunity shortly after returning from Atlantis, and though she was somewhat nervous about being out in public, it offered a nice chance for a distraction from meditating and training. Though the Asian teen had operated on occasion under the hero name Tsunami, but she had generally managed to do so in a way that avoided press attention, so she rather doubted there would be any recognition. So she had instead decided to just join the cleanup efforts as a seemingly normal teenager.

The arrival of the pair of police officers looked like it might be something of a nuisance, but luckily Erick quickly interjected. When the man who had been working on the injured man on the floor indicated he was a doctor, Velocity breathed a small sigh of relief. "Thank you doctor." The speedster replied with a smile. "He is not too far, just this way." She added, starting off back towards where the police chief was, though doing so with a number of stops along the way to make sure the doctor could keep up with her.

Tiff, did you want to make a post before I move us to the location of the current lead? Lucy has previously expressed concern that her "cover" may be blown, so I did not want to do the cut scene in a way that might not fit with how she thinks she should proceed.

Tusnami had managed to extinguish all but a few small external fires on the building. The Asian teen had brought a large pool over water over to the street and sidewalk near the building to be used as she needed. Thus far she had not seen anyone make their way out of the building, not any tenants, nor her friends. And this had her very concerned. With a simple gesture, a column of water rose up into the air, and the teen gracefully jumped off the rooftop she was on and onto the top of the column, which then snaked its way through the air, taking her into a broken out window that lead to a floor with a considerable amount of smoke, where she figured there would be more internal fires for her to douse as she started the search for any survivors and her friends. The teen's watery conveyance took her through the window and into the smoke filled room beyond. Tsunami blinked as the smoke filled her eyes, trying to take in her soundings. But as she did so, a steel plate slammed down to block the window, cutting off the rest of the water she had been controlling from her, though she still had already brought a considerable amount with her. The steel plate had her concerned, as she began to glance quickly around for any other threat. That was clearly not normal, and certainly seemed like part of a trap…
