Timeout Lawrence kept a close eye on the small dinosaurs that scattered as he returned to moving normally through time. While they seemed skittish of him and the nearby Daniel, with pack animals you could never be certain when they might try to get aggressive. Picking up some long branches and broad leaves to use for a makeshift shelter, the blond teen heard Daniel's mental voice in his head. I am doing pretty well. He replied with a slight smile. The heat is a bit much, but as long as we have enough water, should be manageable. Never been quite this outdoorsy personally. How about you?

Multi-Girl Bernadette gave Charlie a small smile as she allowed him to lead her out of the room and back towards the upper levels of the mansion…. Monday February 19, 2024, 1:13 PM The Irish teen was in the mansion’s gym, dressed in a pair of black yoga pants and light grey workout tank-top that left her midsection bare. There were still several bruises, scrapes and cuts visible on her arms and other exposed skin as she was hitting one of the punching bags in one corner of the training area. Last night it had not taken too long for her drift off to sleep due to exhaustion, Charlie's reassuring presence had helped considerably as well. She had woken up once in the early morning hours from a nightmare, but Charlie had been right awake as well to comfort her and help her get back to sleep. But when the morning had come, the pain and emptiness was back, perhaps not as strongly as last night but certainly there. Even with Charlie around to comfort her, Bernadette had not felt like doing anything but lie in bed all morning. She probably would not have eaten anything had Charlie not made her a late breakfast and brought it to her in bed. Eventually she had forced herself to get up and decided to go down to the gym to see if some exercise might help. But as she began using the punching bag, she felt the turmoil inside shift to anger, as her kicks and punches became harder and faster. Blow after blow landed on the heavy bag, jarring it as she continued to lash out, seeing in her mind the countless Omegadrones and other horrors from the Terminus as she faced less than twenty-four hours ago. "Aaaaaaaah!" She finally yelled out as she delivered a powerful right punch that finally snapped the chain holding up the bag and sending it flying back more than a dozen feet. She bent over, putting her hands on her knees as she caught her breath and closed her eyes, fighting back tears.

Timeout The fast-moving flying insect creatures quickly swarmed around the area, hacking and slashing at the teens and the newly arrived police officers. Several of the Claremont students felt the sharp sting of deep cuts or stab wounds from the blade like front arms of the creatures. "What the hell are these things." Velocity asked as she dodged aside the two attacking her. Glancing around at the chaos, she saw one the police officer near Golden Star fall under the attacks of one of the creatures. In a blur of yellow, the teenage speedster was over near Golden Star. *CRACK* *CRACK* *CRACK* *CRACK* In almost the same moment she launched four supersonic punches that knocked the flying creatures swarming around Golden Star out of the air, sending them flying a short distance away to crash to the ground unmoving. Coming to a halt near the fallen officer, her ponytail swishing to one side from the sudden halt to her momentum, she looked down at the officer. "Oh god….that's a lot of blood." After just sidestepping the attack that had been about to hit him, Lawrence moved over near Baz as the radioactive teen took a hit from one of the flying creatures that left him dazed. Arriving near his roommate, the blond teen extended his hands out to his sides as another burst of temporal energy washed out in all directions. As before, the temporal energy harmlessly passed around his friends, the teenage version of his mother and the four police officers that had arrived on the scene. The distortion slammed into each of the silvery enemies in the area. The two attacking Blue Bolt dropped out of the sky, as did the two attacking the two police officers not being protected by Golden Star or Spaceman. One of the ones attacking Gamma Buzz also dropped to the ground, as did one of the ones on Rot. The two that had attacked Velocity dropped to the pavement, as did one of the ones that had attacked Larwrence himself. Additionally, the humanoid creature approaching from the north collapsed after being struck by the temporal energy, as did two of the ones approaching from the south. "Yeah, I am trying to work on that." Larwence called out to Michael. "But this is very wrong, I believe these are the Communion."

With Gamma clearing his daze, it goes to Timeout, who will move near Gamma, putting him basically in the center of everything, then he will switch to his Stun AOE, and accurate attack (-1 effect/+1 attack) and Take 10 to catch all the remaining drones in the 250' radius bubble for DC 19 Fort Saves. 18 flying drones left: exactly half make their saves. 5 walking drones: two make their saves Just to lay out what is left, there are four of the flying insect creatures around Spaceman and the cop he is protecting. Two of the flying ones on Torpedo Lass 2 (who is about 30' from Spaceman), 1 on Gamma (who is 120' south from TL2/Spaceman), 1 on Rot (in the area not far from above Gamma), 1 that was on Timeout about 80' from Gamma (and about the same distance from Sever). Then there are the remaining two walking drones about 120' south of Sever (who is about 120' south of Gamma) And it is Blue Bolt's turn @Kaede Kimura

GM As Fleur tried to interject, the newly arrived aliens seemed little interested in listening to her warning, with Dovox having already expressed his intent to try to kill both the new Star Khan and Paradigm. Just as Fleur spoke, one of the two Justicars with Dovox flew up into the air, leveling his power staff at the young Star Khan. A bright yellow blast of energy fired from the end of the staff, but Kinarr dodged to one side, and the blast struck the pavement, blasting a crater into the ground and sending bits of concrete flying in several directions. The Justicar continued to hover in the air, his weapon aimed down at Kinarr and Paradigm.

Multi-Girl Bernadette (and her duplicates) grinned when Charlie talked about having a particular bias. The other members of the band just laughed, until everyone’s attention shifted to Vueriz as she reappeared from underneath the stage. "Don' worry Vueriz, everyone here is former Claremont." Bernadette said with a grin before she focused back on Callie. "Thanks Callie," the redhead responded to her earlier comments about them doing well in the show. "Things have been pickin' up fer us, in very large part thanks ta Neko." She indicated her roommate as she walked over to glance out towards the stage. "Almost time."

Multi-Girl As four of the Tengu met fiery death, the remaining two took to the air, flying back into the mists and out of sight. All around the teens, the forest when silent for a few moments, before the mists seemed to clear some and they could see the snow-covered path winding head of them to the next gate of one of the inner walls. "Well, looks like they are done." Bernadette stated as she looked around and moved over near Owain to make sure he was okay. Her duplicate checked behind them to make sure no one was following but saw only the misty darkness of the forest behind them.

Tsunami "I am Tsunami." Giang responded to Madame Raven as the other indicated she was alright and introduced herself, confirming her connection to the Raven. Moving over to the bound woman, the Asian young woman looked down at her. "Wrack I assume? Murk sent me to try to assist you." Giang examined her and her bonds, looking back over to Madame Raven. "I don't suppose you will be able to deal with these bonds. I saw your earlier handiwork at the skylight and trapdoor locks."

Timeout While the idea of trying to go over and pet one of the triceratops was intriguing, Lawrence knew they had a lot to get done before it started to get dark, and the last thing they needed was for him to inadvertently aggravate some of the large creatures. So, the blond teen got an idea of what Kazra needed for what she was going to be helping with for the tree top campsite. Once he had an idea of some of the materials needed, Lawrence started off in the nearby area to look for them. He became a blur as he slipped out of time once again, allowing him to more quickly move around the area as he searched for large branches, vines and giant, broad leaves, among other material….

Timeout Once Spaceman brought him through to the other side of the door, Lawrence began quickly taking in the suddenly enlarged area they found themselves in. Taking note of the figured in the purple armor and cape, the blond teen also focused on all the equipment in the area, trying to ascertain the potential purpose of it. From what he was able to determine, they appeared to be designed to grow some sort of artificial being(s) and to help accelerate the process. As the armored figure noticed Baz and addressed their presence and the return of the teenage girl, who suddenly rapidly aged even further. "Well, we are superheroes, we often have a habit of being where we are not supposed to be." Lawrence replied calmly as he took a few steps forward. "Although I am interested in learning what it is you are expecting with these 'experiments' as you call them."

GM Archer watched from the mouth of the alleyway as most of the teens followed after El Gato in attacking the Omegadrones engaged with the police. "Hmmm." He muttered as the teens quickly cut down on the number of Omegadrones in the area, dealing with the ones that were on the ground. Stepping out of the alley, he quickly drew back his arrow and aimed at one of the airborne Omegadrones. He fired the arrow at the visor of the armored figure’s helmet, and while the arrow struck its intended target, the Omegadrone had slightly turned its head, causing the arrow to deflect harmless off the visor without harming the drone. Archer scowled slightly as he moved over to get behind a parked car near the alley entrance.

GM As Blue Blot sped through the silvery metallic creatures, her particle blades slashing through three of them, she saw silver liquid spray out of the deep cuts her passing had made, much like blood might have sprayed out of a human similarly cut. The three metallic shapes all collapsed down to the ground, as pools of silver liquid began to form around them. Further back up the street, her roommate Rot unleashed her dark energy at the three near Gamma Buzz. While one that had been slowed by Timeout managed to dodge the energy burst, the other two paralyzed ones were not so lucky, the chaotic energy tearing at them and ripping portions off. Those two also crumpled to the ground. Spaceman and Golden Star both attacked the slowed metallic creature, first Spaceman punching it, followed quickly by Golden Star, who sent it flying back a short distance. Now that he was closer, Golden Star thought it had looked somewhat similar to one of the aliens he had recently encountered when he had met the new Star Khan and Paradigm on Valentine’s Day, only it seemed to be completely made of the silvery metal, even the armor that it wore similar to the troopers that accompanied Sovereign. Looking down at the remains of the two creatures that Rot had taken down, Golden Star could see that they also looked like aliens, one seeming to wear a simple jumpsuit, also made of the same silvery metal. Where Rot's powers had torn them apart, silvery liquid seeped out, pooling like blood, and instead of mechanical gears or other robotic innerworkings like those of the giant mummy robot, he could see what looked like bone and muscle, also the same silvery metal. Two police cars pulled to a stop near Torpedo Lass and behind Blue Bolt, four officers getting out as the reached for their guns and tried to take in what was going on. After making his attack, Spaceman could sense more of these things moving several blocks down, and detected three more of the long silver needlelike ships just before they came slamming down near the teens. One slammed into the street a block away from where most of the teens were gathered, four more of the humanoid metallic creatures being deployed from it. The other two crashed into nearby buildings (one near the main group of teens, the other in a building beside Blue Bolt), but as the sides pealed back, there were not humanoid creatures inside, but smaller silvery metal insect like creatures about the size of a small dog, with rapidly beating wings like a dragon fly, multiple leg and two main front legs that ended in scythe like blades. A dozen of these flying creatures emerged from the other two needlelike ships, spreading out like a swarm of angry insects. Two of the silver flying creatures quickly closed with Blue Bolt, each slashing at the diminutive alien with their scythe like blades in rapid slashing attacks, both scoring multiple hits on her. Six others flew over to the police officers that had just exited their cars. As the creatures began to descend on the officers, slashing at them as they did, Spaceman and Golden Star were both suddenly over by the patrol cars, putting themselves in between two officers and one of the creatures attacking them. Golden Star managed to prevent one of the creatures from attacking a police man completely. But even as he did, a second one came at the officer from a different direction, viciously slashing the officer several time, sending blood splattering onto the patrol car and Golden Star’s cape, the officer going down with terrible lacerations. Two of the other officers were each attacked by one creature, one officer avoiding any injury altogether, the other receiving a minor laceration across her left arm. Spaceman took the attacks intended or the fourth officer, the creature stabbing at him multiple times, while the officer dodged aside from the second creature that came after her. Rot and Gamma Buzz both had two of creatures buzz over to them, slashing at them as they did. Each were struck by their attackers, though in each case one attacker only landed one hit, while the other landed two. Two flew at Velocity, but the yellow clad speedster managed to dodge aside and avoided the slashing attacks from creatures. Two also went after Lawrence, who dodged one, but just at the other closed and seemed about to hit the blond teen, he was surrounded by a temporal distortion and suddenly was just a few steps to the side, causing the creature to miss. Spaceman and Golden Star each had two of the creatures fly in pursuit of them, with Spaceman avoiding one, but the second coming behind him and slashing him multiple times. Golden Star fared better, managing to avoid both that attacked him. Torpedo Lass 2 and Sever were also each swarmed by two of the creatures. Torpedo Lass was able to dodge the two creatures that came after her, slashing at her with their bladed forearms. Sever did not do as well, as each of the creatures managed to score two hits on him with their scythe like blades as the buzzed after him. Up at the intersection where Velocity had attacked a group of the silver creatures, the last one that had withstood her sonic boom started moving down the street in the direction of the intersection where the police officers, Spaceman, Golden Star and Torpedo Lass were facing the swarm of flying silvery insect creatures. Down from the main group, the four new humanoid creatures started moving up the street toward the other teens, with Sever currently the one closest to them….

Okay, on the drones turn, three more of the needlelike ships are dropping down from the sky and releasing more drones (this time two have a dozen smaller flying insect like drones in each, so 24 between the two of them): Drones flying drones attacking Vueriz: 28 and 26 That is 2 DC 21 toughness saves. @Kaede Kimura Drones attack Police: 16, 18, 15, 22, 27 and 9: (first two on cop #1, next two on cops 2 and 3, last two on cop #4): Golden Star is interposing on behalf of cop #1 (first attack); Spaceman in interposting on behalf of cop #4 (first attack); So, after interposes 3 DC 21 toughness saves for the police (using 2, 3 and 4 rolls in this, as first and last are for interposed attacks) : 9, 23, and 18: @RocketLord Spaceman has a DC 21 toughness save for the attack he interposes on. Golden Star just avoids the hit he interposes for (the 16 attack roll) so he does not have a toughness save. So, second attack critically injures Cop #1 (staggered, disabled and dazed), Cop #2 makes his save, Cop #3 is injured, bruised and Cop #4 avoids damage as Spaceman takes the hit instead.
