Vahn, could I please get a Notice check for Net Fly, and an initiative roll.

Outside, Tsunami once again sent a wide sheet of water against the sections of the apartment building that she could see engulfed in flames. The water hissed as it contacted the fire, with more of the flames being extinguished until there were only a few small fires that were visible to the Asian teen from where she stood. However, given the amount of smoke still escaping from other sides of the building, she was certain that there were still flames inside that she could not see. But for the moment, she focused on completely extinguishing the fires on this side of the building, not wanting to give what remained a chance to spread and grow once more. Focusing her power more tightly this time, the teenager sent a steady, thin stream of water shooting up towards one of the small fires still burning. Once it was extinguished, she shifted the jet of water to the next.

The robot does very poorly on its toughness save with a 19, so we will say it is effectively damaged sufficient to put it out of commission.

The robot managed to dodge out of the way of El Heraldo's furious attack. As the patriotic paragon regained his balance from the missed attack, he saw that he had made a small hole through the floor and could see the smoke filled room below. But his momentary distraction allowed the robot to deliver a powerful blow, but the teen was more than able to shrug off the hit. Warp coughed as her vision blurred and the room seemed to spin, but she was able to see the small form of the robot leap up to its feet in a smooth motion and start towards her quickly. With the room seeming to spin faster, the teenager acted mainly by instinct, disappearing from the smoke filled room through one of her tears in space. She almost instantaneously emerged from the other end of the rift in her dorm room back at Claremont, the first place that popped into her head. But no sooner had she stepped from her warp, than the teen had collapsed to her knees, the room spinning faster and faster. There was no sign of her roommate, and Warp tried to pull herself towards to door of the room so she could find someone to warn them about what was happening back in Southside, but then everything went black as she collapsed onto the floor of the room unconscious.

Round Two Robot 9 El Heraldo 7 (4 HP, Unharmed) Okay, slight edit to previous stuff, I forgot to account for El Heraldo’s superstrength in his attempt to smash the steel plate, so it took a little bit of damage (injured), but otherwise remained in place. The robot attacks El Heraldo, getting a 27 (almost a critical hit!). That is a DC 23 toughness save for the paragon.

Velocity (29) (2) (2) (9) (15) (1) Tsunami (21) (10) (2) (4) (1) (2) (2) GM (26) (unless I am off on my post count, I should have enough posts so that Velocity gets 50 and Tsunami has 25, with about 1 left over) (3) (8) (4) (6) (2) (3)

Pyramid Plaza, Freedom City Thursday June 27, 2013 8:20 AM The sun had been up in Freedom City for close to three hours already. On most days, Jack O’Conner would have been in the office before the sun came up, but last night he had spent a good bit the night tracking some Mafia goons through Southside until he was able to catch them in the act of picking up a shipment of drugs. Accordingly, his day was starting a little bit later than usual. At least he had an easy "commute." The elevator that had carried the young CEO of Freedom Consolidated from his penthouse on the 90th floor of Tower One, arrived with a *DING* at the company's offices on the 65th floor of the same tower. It was a short walk from the elevator bank to reception area, where Jack was greeted by the bright and cheerful face of the receptionist, Whitney Wilcox. "Good morning Mr. O'Conner." Whitney said in greeting. A fairly recent graduate of Freedom City University, she was an attractive brunette. Along with her energetic personality, the young woman had great attention to detail and was always willing to take on extra projects for various departments.

"Oh, how silly of me to think there possibly could have been anything deeper to your plan than simplistic, greedy goals." Velocity replied. "In any event, what you can be charged with can put you away for a long time as it is, I mean, just because being cooperative can help in maybe getting the DA to lessen the charges doesn’t mean you necessarily have anything to offer in that regard." When the rather cynical criminal continued running her mouth and asked about taking some "prison trinkets," the speedster gave her a small frown. "How about no."

Velocity gave Omen a sympathetic look, cringing slightly as she thought what it Grab’s attack must have felt like. "Sorry I was not able to get you lose quicker." The speedster replied. "She turned out to be rather resilient." She added turning her head back towards where Grab was now sitting. But of course, the speedster did not need to look in the direction of something to see it thanks to her high-tech goggles. Right now, they were feeding her images of the items Grab had smashed, including the apparently concealed hard drive that had also been damaged. The fact that they were all items donated by Grant Conglomerates was not lost on the young woman. As Megan Howell, she had met Jonathan Grant a few times over the years. Growing up, she had also known his oldest child, Sarah, who was a couple years older. But since she had become a member of Freedom City’s superhero community, and particularly after she had joined the Freedom League, Velocity had heard some of the suspicions other heroes had about the owner of Grant Conglomerates. "So, was this really about an attempt to fleece a bunch of wealthy people, or were you all really after something else?" The speedster asked Grab.

The Tyrrhenian Sea subdivision of the Mediterranean Sea, June 24, 2013 Giang Trang sliced through the clear blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Graceful and poised on land, the Asian teen was perhaps even more so underwater, seamlessly banking and turning as she swam amid a small school of giant devil rays. Reaching wing spans of up to seventeen feet across, the large rays were impressively graceful swimmers, and truly majestic to behold. The last couple of weeks had been an incredible experience for Giang. Her friend and roommate at Claremont Academy, Thaelia, had invited the Asian teen to spend part of the summer break visiting in Atlantis. So Giang had been a guest of the Atlantean royal family, of which Thaelia was a member, allowing her to see the wonders of the legendary city and continent located in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. After spending two weeks in the Atlantic, Thaelia had brought Giang to visit the Atlantean outpost of Crantorium, which was located in the depths of the Tyrrhenian Sea, a section of the Mediterranean Sea generally bound by Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily and most of the western coast of the Italian peninsula. Crantorium's shallower depth, and relative proximity to even shallower waters near the various islands and Italy, made the outpost something of a resort location for Atlanteans. In addition to the marvelous sights and experiences the trip had provided, it also provided Giang with the ability to relax more than usual, as it was highly unlikely that either her father or any of Dr. Sin's other lieutenants would be able to locate her among the Atlanteans. The somewhat more carefree attitude she was feeling was rather evident as she swam alongside the school of devil rays. Banking slightly as the school veered around a large rocky outcropping, Giang looked back over one shoulder to ensure that Thaelia was still alongside, though the Asian teen had little doubt, as the Atlantean was an equally powerful swimmer.

Nick was pulled from his thoughts as the car reached the gate through the low brick wall that surrounded the extensive grounds of the D'Ascenzo estate. The large neo-gothic mansion that stood down the long driveway only served to heighten the tension that the necromancer seemed to sense in the air. The building would fit perfectly in a Hollywood horror film. As the Royals Royce started up the driveway, Nick picked up faint traces of magic coming from the home. It was hard to pinpoint at the moment, but he felt whatever it was, it was quite old, and seemed almost patchwork in nature. Standing under the covered entrance of the home, Nick saw Jonathan D'Ascenzo waiting with another man who was holding an umbrella ready. Jonathan D'Ascenzo was in his early sixties, slightly balding with light grey hair. He was dressed in a finely tailored dark green suit. The man with him was even older, dressed in a butler’s uniform. As the car came to a halt in front of the home, the elderly butler stepped out from under the covering, umbrella out and held over him as he opened the door for Nick. "Good afternoon Mr. Cimitiere. A pleasure to see you once more." Jonathan stated with a small smile. "I trust the trip was uneventful?"

Like Cerys, Giang had a considerable amount of patience. The Asian teen took turns on watch with Cerys, meditating at other times, and telling both the other girls some stories about her homeland. As nightfall arrived, Giang also was beginning to feel a bit worried that Subito had not yet returned, but it was then that an exchange described by the Serpent Person was taking place below. Looking over to Cerys, the Asian teen had a sympathetic look. "I understand your concern, but right now we need to stop that spy and secure the message that was passed to the Serpent People here." She stated, pointing down at the white-clad "Roman" below. "Once we have intercepted the massive, then we will begin searching for Subito."

Velocity’s initiative is a 60

Velocity watched as Merge, or rather several of her, began to engage the thugs, her jaw tightening ever so slightly as one of the guards got out a warning shout. Thankfully, Madame Marvelous appeared too distracted by the speedster and what she had to say. "Well, I am afraid I cannot confirm any such rumors." Velocity replied, lifting one gloved hand up and studying the back of it, or at least appeared to be doing so. In fact, the speedster was watching everything going on around her, tracking Crimson Crush's movement towards where the Merges were active, watching Little Marvelous for any sign she was about to act, and keeping an eye on Madame Marvelous to be sure she continued to be distracted just a little bit longer. She had a distinct feeling things were about to get serious, and was ready to spring into action.

Velocity was relieved when Grab released Omen and choose to surrender. However, that relief was quickly replaced as the supervillainess bragged about Get-Away and Trap Door getting away. The speedster fought an urge to just punch Grab out, as she frowned slightly. The next time she happened across this group, she would make sure they were all unconscious before going after the other members. "We will get you to the authorities in our own due time. Besides, the crew needs to get this ship up and running again and get us back to shore so the police can take you into custody." She replied as she glanced over to Omen. "You doing okay?"

Sorry it took so long TT, but finally got Nick's intro up! Let me know if you think anything in it needs correcting. Also, let me know if you have any questions before you make a post. Jonathan would have not given a lot of details (after all, want to have the more detailed story of the curse actually appear in the thread ), but possibly some.

Meanwhile… Nick Cimitiere peered out the tinted back window of the Royals Royce extended Phantom that had picked him up a short while ago at the cemetery in Lantern Hill he often "haunted." The car had been sent to pick up the necromancer hero by the family that had requested his assistance. Earlier in the week, Nick had been approached by a man in his mid-sixties, Jonathan D'Ascenzo, at the Lantern Hill cemetery. Mr. D'Ascenzo had requested the hero's assistance, for both himself and other members of his family in dealing with a long enduring curse that had hounded the family. According to Mr. D'Ascenzo, unless Nick could come up with a way to break the curse, then he, along with twelve other members of his family would all be dead by late Sunday morning. Outside, the winding roads of Port Regal passed by, the sky continuing to darken and it had begun to rain as the tropical storm continued to close with the city. Nick would not be surprised at all if thunderstorms accompanied the storm.

Now completely submerged, Tsunami sliced through the waters of the bay at impressive speed. She could sense the unusual current that was now aiding to propel the Prince Edward forward, but at the moment was unable to determine what might be the source of that current. As she drew near, the Asian teen sensed someone fall into the water near the ship and shifted in that direction in case it was one of her friends. However, she quickly realized it was Devil Ray, apparently one of the others had landed a solid hit, for he was currently dazed, though no quite out of the fight. Sweeping both hands in front of her as she continued to slice through the waters, she sent another powerful jet of water at the armored mercenary. However, her aim was slightly off, and the water blast missed the target, continuing on through the dark waters.

Velocity took note of the men Madame Marvelous had hidden up in the shadows and nodded as Merge indicated one of her duplicates and Asad were nearly there. "There are at least ten thugs up in the shadows, no sign of any firearms." She replied in her own whisper. The yellow clad speedster then stepped forward, giving Madame Marvelous a slight bow. "That's me, one of the fastest people on the planet." She replied before standing back up. "But of course, I came to see if you would be interested in joining the League." "It is not easy though, I mean, you would have to give up the life of crime," Velocity made a small sweeping gesture around them, "but, there are a number of perks. For one, there are a number of cute guys, like Gabriel and Bowman. Also, you can pretty much count on all the media attention you could want."

What seemed like a large wave crashed against the sections of the outside of the building that were on fire. Tsunami watched from the rooftop Warp had teleported her to as her initial attempt to deal with some of the fire managed to extinguish only about half of the flames she could easily see. Taking a deep breath, the Asian teen again reached out towards the ruptured fire hydrant, around which there was now a considerable pool of water, and once again began drawing an even larger "wave" of water up into the air and towards the side of the building.

GM El Heraldo slams himself into the steel plate that had come down to block the doorway. As strong as the teenage paragon was, the plate buckled in slightly, but otherwise remained firmly in place, causing a slight feeling of pain in his shoulder. Behind him, the robot had climbed to its feet as it once again emitted the ear-splitting wail. Meanwhile, Warp had nodded in response to Tusnami's statement about being safe, and then disappeared through one of her rifts through space. The teenager emerged from the other end of the rift inside one another smoke filled room. Covering her mouth with one arm as she was assailed by the smoke and heat in the room, Warp crouched down slightly to try to get a bit below the smoke as she scanned the room. She quickly spotted a small figure huddled in a corner of the room. Moving quickly to the figure, Warp reached out to take its small arm. "Are you all…" Her question was cut off as the figure turned its head, revealing a metallic, inhuman face. Its mouth opened wide as a sickly green gas billowed forth. The young mutant caught a face full of the noxious gas, releasing her grip on the robot's arm and stumbling backward in an effort to get away from the gas.

Okay, here is what we have for now. El Heraldo slams into the steel plate, which just makes its toughness save. Round One Robot 9 El Heraldo 7 (4 HP, Unharmed) The robot is continuing the sonic attack, so another DC 20 Reflex save for Heraldo. Again, if he makes it, he avoids the attack completely. Otherwise, a DC 20 Fort save.

Tusnami will swim in closer and try to attack Devil Ray, but she will likely miss with a 17.
