  1. Once she was sure the avalanche had been completely dealt with, Velocity started back down the hill once more, scanning the area for a signs of Robert and Fenris. She spotted the two together, covering the distance in less than a second, arriving just as they were finishing their exchange. The speedster winced slightly at Robert using her first name, but then, Fenris likely had little reason to know which of the millions of Megans in the world Robert was referring to. Man, this guy is a bit too much of a straight arrow. She thought briefly. Of course, it probably doesn't help that I have not been completely forth coming with everything I know about the situation either. With a blur of yellow, Velocity appeared between the two men, holding her hands out to either side towards them. "Whoa there. Let's not get carried away." She stated. "Fenris," She began, looking over at the armored hero, "I am sorry if I was not clearer, but I was not wanting you to take Robert because I had any intention of arresting him, but because I wanted to be sure that he could get help being freed from the influence of that watch." "As Robert just mentioned, those men that were after the watch are from a possible future. It is likely they were the ones that impersonated Baron and disrupted the fail safes back in Sweden. I know for a fact that one of them has impersonated, or maybe even always was, Anders Ekland. As for the danger the watch represents, despite the abilities it gave Robert, the true danger is in the future." She then looked over at Robert. "And as for the watch, I am seeing that it goes to Daedalus and other League associated scientists for study. We have one or more groups from the future that believe this is important, so we need to understand what we are dealing with."
  2. "Yes, both mom and dad have long grilled into us the importance of networking." Megan replied with a small smile as Amir mentioned his old habit of keeping information on people he met. "It tends to help that I like meeting people and socializing. But then, who knows, maybe I wouldn't so much if my parents had not stressed networking and the like." When Amir mentioned that the U.N. had cleared her for security reasons, Megan gave a small smile. "Well that's good to hear, though, if your waiting on our government for final approval, you likely won't hear back until the last week of my internship"
  3. He misses with a 15, post away!
  4. 21 Revenant (Unharmed, 1 HP) 21 Thug 4 (unharmed) 15 Crimson Tiger (Unharmed, 3 HP) 3 Thug 3 (unharmed) The two thugs roll initiative, getting a 3 and 21. Revenant wins the tie as she has the higher Dex. Cape, Harry is going to need either a Bluff or Diplomacy roll.
  5. As Revenant and Crimson Tiger briefly spoke, the two spotted some other thugs and bookies moving along the outskirts of the crowd of spectators. These four men were further down the platform the two heroines were on, coming from a different direction, but headed in the same general direction that the group that had just been knocked out had been headed. The two thugs accompanying the bookies spotted the two women standing near the unconscious forms of some of their compatriots in crime, tensing up as they did. Both had pistols visibly in hand. Even as some of the nearby crowd had shifted their focus to what was going on with the two women and the bookies, a shout from somewhere managed to ring out over the cheers of the fight taking place below. "RAID!" The shout had the effect of stopping most of the cheering, as people began taking a look around, trying to get their bearings on their surroundings and figure out how they might try to make a run for it. Some of the spectators that had already been watching what was going on started running, generally away from Crimson Tiger and Revenant, but apparently without any real thought of where they might go. Down below in the "pits," the shout caught the attention of the fighters still waiting for their matches, who began looking around as well, several of them noting that Hector and his people were busy making their exit. The two fighters out in the ring were still focused on each other, and had not yet quite realized what was going on, but those waiting began grabbing their gym bags or coats and otherwise preparing for flight. The bodyguard that had stopped Harry scowled slightly as the private investigator tried to talk his way into joining with the ring leader of the operation. "Really? We never saw you until tonight. How do we know you're not responsible for the police showing up?" Hector and the other bodyguard kept on moving at a quick walk, making it to a door along one of the back walls of the area.
  6. Velocity was about halfway to Fenris when she spotted the avalanche that was starting downhill towards them, gaining speed and picking up more snow as it went. The yellow clad speedster skid to a halt, sending a spray of snow flying as she did as she turned to focus on the gathering danger (something that was really unnecessary thanks to her high-tech goggles three hundred and sixty degree sight, but still habit). Taking a deep breath, the young woman managed to shake off the tired feeling she had felt since pushing her powers during her fight with Robert back in the hotel room, though she was about to push her powers again. Taking off once again in a blur of yellow, Velocity streaked back up the mountainside, nimbly stating on her feet as she sped over slick snow and ice. As she reached the moving edge of the avalanche, the speedster accelerated, as she began to run in tight circles, faster and faster, until a whirlwind took shape, formed by the speedster’s movements. The young woman then swept across the front of the avalanche, continuing her circling and taking the whirlwind with her. The vortex created by the whirlwind sucked in the snow contained in the avalanche as it passed, sending the snow up into the air, where it was dispersed over the side of the mountain in an odd sort of snowfall. Velocity moved back and forth, as she moved up the slope, before she had managed to disperse all of the snow that had been dislodged by the time agents' maneuver. At that point, the speedster stopped her circling, skidding to a halt as she breathed heavily from the effort.
  7. As discussed in chat, as we are out of combat, Velocity is power stunting with her superspeed array (using that new hero point to negate her prior fatigue, meaning she will again be fatigued after the power stunt). She is stunting: Air Control 13 (Extra: Area; Flaw: Touch) {26 pp} (ie Move Object to disperse the avalanche) You indicated it would be an opposed check, Velocity got a Natural 20! for a 33! Check to stay on her feet: 24
  8. Tsunami will move some more and continue to use the Total Defense action as she did last round.
  9. As Tsunami moved across the deck of the ship, she heard two objects land somewhere towards the bow of the ship. Almost immediately after, she sensed Devil Ray moving back towards the ship in the water, before he exited into the air near the aft of the ship, presumably to try to locate her once again. "Devil Ray is back." She spoke into the comm. to Blodeuwedd and Crimson Tiger. "But for the moment I have not reengaged with him. Where are you both and do either of you need help?" The Asian teen moved a little more towards the middle of the ship, continuing to remain on the defensive as she went.
  10. Just missed the second level with a 19, so I guess she just knows he was moving back.
  11. SC, should I make a notice check to see if Tsunami spotted Devil Ray flying back to the ship? (or perhaps, more likely, sensed him approaching in the water before he flew back up onto the ship?)
  12. Okay, posted. Added in the post that she will use Move-by Attack to move further down the hill to Fenris after taking the two out. Also, will take a couple free action Take 20 Notice checks to look for any avalanches starting.
  13. Velocity was a bit surprised when Robert suddenly was tossed through the air by Fenris. Thankfully, he appeared relatively unhurt as he landed in the snow and began tumbling down the side of the mountain. Of course, that was not particularly safe either, but for the moment she could not do anything about that. Dodging two more attacks from the time agents, this time louder which caused ominous rumblings, the yellow clad speedster quickly closed the distance between her and the nearest of the two managing to maintain her balance on the slippery snow. *CRACK* Her fist let out a small sonic boom as it connected with the man, knocking him unconscious, but Velocity was already moving past him. *CRACK* A second supersonic punch connected with the remaining man, knocking him out as well. The speedster continued on down the slope, her goggles allowing her to scan for any sign of an avalanche triggered by the time agents' weapons.
  14. Velocity manages to stay on her feet with a 17. She moves over to attack the first agent, getting a 20, DC 28 toughness save. Assuming the first one goes down, she will Takedown attack the second, getting a 27 on the second attack roll.
  15. Velocity gave a slight nod as Merge mentioned they were likely the best ones to avoid any potential trap. The speedster then listened as the other woman described what she had in mind as far as trying to learn what Madame Marvelous was planning, and what sort of help she had with her. While it was certainly not a full proof plan, it was sufficiently simple and straightforward enough that they could easily adapt depending on what happened. "Then I guess we get trap springing duty." She replied with a small grin as Merge mentioned Asad almost as an afterthought and struck her pose. "Lead the way then. I'll try to do my best to not rush ahead."
  16. Giang felt a sensation of relief as the newcomer quickly grasped the situation and, like his partner, did not appear to like the fact that he had been duped into working for her father. The Asian teen watched the burning piece of paper a moment after Hound had tossed it aside, she then looked up to regard the two private investigators, her expression a bit more friendly now. "I am sorry the two of you were falsely brought into the employment of my father. I cannot honestly say what his reaction might be to your failure to complete your agreement with him, but it may well be he will have no further concern about you. While you may not have delivered me to him, it would appear you helped lead his agents to me," she gestured around at the unconscious martial artists and the man in the grey suit, scattered around the rooftop. "It may be that was all he expected of you."
  17. Giang had been still somewhat ambivalent about Subito flying out on his own, but it had quickly been apparent that nothing would convince him otherwise, so she had wished him good luck before he took to the sky once more. The Asian teen then followed along with Cerys, John and Princess Kazra as they were lead down into the dungeons to try to question the captured Serpent Man. Although she had accompanied the group, Giang was not certain what she might be able to contribute in this regard. She did not have any particular skills at interrogation, and certainly was not about to be involved in torture. Thankfully Cerys quickly indicated she had no intention of torturing the Serpent Man either, though she apparently was willing to at least let the creature believe she might do so. So the Asian teen simply stood in the background, not wanting to distract from Cerys questioning, but also remaining watchful as there was the possibility there were still other Serpent People at large in the city.
  18. Velocity was able to easily dodge out of the way of two of the blast sent by the invisible time agents, but the third blast sent by the apparent leader still managed to clip her. But, seeing as she was not being caught unaware and from behind (without her hi-tech goggles and their three hundred and sixty degree sight), the speedster was not quite so easy to stop, managing to twist slight and otherwise resist the stun blast. Now that the agents were apparently sliding down the hill, it was much easier to triangulate where they were as opposed to just footprints in the snow. In the blink of an eye, the speedster closed with the leader. *CRACK* Her right hand shot out at supersonic speeds, connecting with the man. *WHAM* As she focused on her attack, the yellow clad speedster felt her traction give way slightly, but was easily able to rebalance herself to stay on her feet. "I don't know who you all really are, but this is not the way to go about things. If you had tried to talk things out first, MAYBE we could have worked something out. But that watch is just too dangerous to hand over to just anyone." She stated, still somewhat unsure what was going on and whether these were the agents of the older Robert she had "met" earlier. They certainly were not behaving as if they knew she was helping.
  19. Velocity attacks the Time Agent that shot at her, getting a 29, almost a critical hit (where were rolls like that when she was fighting Robert!). DC 28 toughness save. She gets a 25 for her DEX check to stay on her feet once she has shifted her array to Strike.
  20. Velocity gets a 27 for her Fort save. So, with them sliding, is it now rather clear where they are?
  21. Velocity (28) (3) (7) (1) (4) (11) (1) (1) Tsunami (6) (2) (2) (1) (1) GM (4) (all to Tsunami) (3) (1)
  22. Velocity listened as Merge explained how another copy of herself was leading Asad in through another entrance. The speedster still did not fully trust Merge, but thus far she had not done anything to make her think she was not being honest about wanting to stop Madame Marvelous. So, she was willing to go along with Merge's plan, for now. "Sure, though isn't that the most likely way to be ensnared in the spider's trap?" She replied with a slight grin. "Any particular plan for when we get there?" She then asked. "Or we just going to make it up as we go along?"
  23. Well, the sneaky one could send Velocity to where Asad and the other copy are. (sorry, had missed the post about the notice check, but, I believe I had previously said Velocity was taking a few free action (via Quickness) take 20 notice checks to scan the area)
  24. Happy Birthday Arichamus!!
  25. Velocity was relieved when Merge was able to convince the crowd to move away from the building. Hopefully they would not be back anytime soon. The speedster waited as the crowd continued away, never an easy thing for her, and the watched as Asad flew down towards the street and the Merge that was near the entrance was let in by the guards positioned there. Well, looks like Merge is in. Time to meet up. Velocity thought as she started off in a blur of yellow, running down the side of the building she was standing on top of and speeding off to one side of the studio not far from the front door. Vibrating her body's molecules at superspeed, the speedster passed easily through the walls of the building and into the hallway beyond. A moment later she coming to a halt near the Merge that had gone through the main entrance. "Nice job getting the crowd to move away." Velocity offered with a small smile.
